failure to honor lifetime warranty
I purchased a Vita mix Maxi 4000 in 1990 maybe 1991. I paid a highly inflated price for the blender because it included a lifetime warranty. In 2004 I had a blade assembly replaced under the lifetime warranty. I called today to have a dome gasket and blender spout replaced and I was informed there was no such thing as a lifetime warranty. I purchased a maxi 4000 back in 1995 and paid a crazy amount of money because I was given a life-time warranty. Here we are in 2012 and vitamix swears they never gave out a life-time warranty even though there are other forum and posts that have the same complaint. It now costs me $85 for a blade assembly - 3 weeks out. I could buy a whole to blender for this price. I really like the machine, but have been ripped off.
