Hancock-Whitehead plumbing tried to fix my home's plumbing in June , but they didn't check the pipes underneath my house. The problem of sewage backing up into my drains happened again in May after their first attempt failed. After talking to 2 other plumbers, they confirmed that the issue was actually a pipe underneath the house that wasn't tilted correctly. I paid Hancock-Whitehead $3600 in June , but it didn't solve the problem. I'm asking for at least $2000 back and not to pay their $190 service call fee. This is the amount I have to pay the new plumber. I want this resolved in a polite way without any swearing or yelling from Hancock-Whitehead, which happened when I called to report that their initial work didn't fix the issue with the owner ***. I gotta say, I got a bone to pick with Whitehead-Hancock Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, Inc. So, back in July , we decided to hit 'em up for a bid on adding a shower to our downstairs bathroom. Now, mind you, we've been living in this house for almost 5 years, and the previous owner had gone and capped off the bathroom, leaving us high and dry. So, during the interview, I made sure to express my concerns to *** about the plumbing situation. I mean, it had been capped off for ages, so who knows what kind of trouble we could run into, right? But ol' *** assured me that their fancy new plumbing would work like a charm, no need for any upflush system or anything. So, we agreed to their bid of $4881 and they got to work.

Now, here's where things start to go downhill. After they finished installing all the fixtures - sink, toilet, and shower - their plumbing guys had the audacity to ask if they could borrow our plunger. And if that wasn't bad enough, they even had to go and fetch a snake to clear out the line. I asked 'em what the heck was going on, and they just shrugged and said it was probably some debris causing the issue. Well, a few days later, I go and flush the toilet, and what do you know? The water starts backing up in the shower pan. I was fuming, so I called up Whitehead-Hancock and they sent out a technician who ran a camera through the pipes. And guess what? The guy says the plumbing pipes are falling apart! Can you believe it?

So, the owner himself comes out to talk about the problem, and what does he say? He had the nerve to tell me that they didn't include replacing the pipes in the bid. Can you imagine? We specifically brought up our concerns about the plumbing being capped off for years, and they just brushed it off like it was no big deal. Now, we're stuck here, out $4881, and we don't even have a working bathroom. It's a total nightmare, and Whitehead-Hancock won't take responsibility for their shoddy work. Stay away, folks. Save yourself the headache.
