Wigs.com not keeping me up to date with my order

I ordered a product online. I did not find out it was not available until 9 days later. %Then when I tried to reply, , no one answered my email for another week. They responded by telling me that the product I orderd was to be shipped the next week. that was 10 days a go and I still have not received my product or a reply from my enquiries that I have made during trhe process. I am appalled with their customer service. I have dealt with this company for sometime and have never found the customer service to be so disgusting.

It is my money and I need to know what they have done with it. We are talking hundreds of dollars here. Here is a copy of the first email received after my initial order on 04/20/2010 dated 4/29/2010:

Expected Availability Date: 5/6/2010

Your item(s) listed above is on backorder. The backorder date noted is your expected shipment date. You have been placed on our backorder list to be among the first to receive this item when it comes off backorder. The most expedient way to receive your item is to remain on the backorder list, you do not need to do anything further. You will receive your item as soon as it becomes available.

If you do not wish to remain on the backorder list, or if you wish to choose an alternate style or color, please reply to this email and give us your new choice. We will process your request right away!

I ordered a wig in March. In April, I hadn't received the wig and contacted the company via e-mail. The response was that the wig was on backorder and would be in about 1-1 1/2 months later. In May, I contacted the company again. The e-mail stated the wig was still on backorder. The next day another e-mail stated the wig had been discontinued. After another round of e-mail exchanges, the company stated they'd mistakenly sent the e-mail stating the wig had been discontinued. Long story short, 3 months passed and all I had to show for my $100 was a series of e-mails. I contacted the company again and was promised that the wig was 'on the way' within the next 24-48 hours. One week later (when I hadn't received the wig), I demanded a refund. I will NEVER buy anything else from this company. This experience has been ridiculous!

Wigs.com very bad service

Waited for almost 2 months for my order after I paid for it. Told it was on B/O. I called for the 3rd time and was told that it was finally available and my order would be shipped immed. I would receive it the following Friday. Guess what, it is now Friday and no order. I just got off the phone with them, and really steamed, apparently they never shipped my order because they never received in my items. Needless to say I cancelled my order, hopefully I will get a full refund on my credit card, that remains to be seen. In short, lousey service, no reguard for customer service, how they stay in business is a real mystery! Don't bother dealing with unless you don't care about receving your order.

Wigs.com no help with charge back

I wear wigs for a medical reason and when Wigs.com sent me out a humar hair wig that was falling apart, hair falling out without even touching it, I had a warranty on the wig for 90 days and when I called them they said the warranty didn't apply to that wig, even though the warranty card came in the box, they said it was all my fault, so I contacted Dicks Mastercard and they said send a letter with a postal reciept which I did, I waited 2 months and never heard a response, I called and they said they never recieved it, I said I had delivery confirmation that they did and they just said sorry, could you send it again, so I did. Finally after waiting 6 more weeks for a response, they sent me a letter that stated sorry, that company doesn't offer refunds- WTF- No kidding-thats why I was trying to get a charge back- Duh- We have spent over 50, 000 on that card and they can't back me up for 1 returned purchase?

I purchased to help me cover my bald head from a recent cancer diagnosis. It was perfect when I first purchased it; until I noticed it somehow was becoming thinner. It has now come to the point where I can barely use it. This isn't what I thought I was getting too help me feel better while undergoing a major crisis in my life dealing with cancer.

DON'T BUY, IT IS A SCAM!
They have charged me the day I ordered the item online. 40 days later they sent me an email saying the item was in backorder and would be available only in more two months time!
Unfortunately I was stupid enough to buy from them more than once and this has happened more than once...

Extremely poor customer service, expect to wait more than 10 minutes on hold, have lost documentation of returns twice (fortunately I had post office receipt and e-mail documentation from them). Items take almost a month to receive and returns over two months - even following all their return polices. Run, don't walk, from wigs.com and extensions.com

Well I wish I had done some research and read up on this company before purchasing. Just surprised after this many years they are still in business. I was impressed by the low prices and free shipping but should have read the refund and return policy carefully as it would have put red flags toward my purchase. What I liked was the size options. Most places didn't have much to offer for petite heads and this site "claimed" to custom fit the wigs and all styles were in all sizes. YEAH! So I ordered my favorite in my favorite colour in petite. It came quicker than I thought but what I got was an average size wig in a different color than I ordered and not at all looking like the picture on the model. I asked for a return label and refund. Back and forth emails and promise to refund me partial so I can get the size fixed here, once the Paypal dispute closed after the 20 days, I never heard from them again. Scam artists. That is all they are. And apparently untouchable because they are still in business.

Just called and was told my order was on back order until August. Cancelled and Roxy said it would take 2-9 business days to get credit. I do believe this company is a scam. Their customer service is terrible. terrible attitude from rep. Was told they sent me an email, nothing ever came. This company is a joke. Beware if you order, it will probably be on back order.

Thank you for all your comments. I have thinning hair, possibly from loss of hormones in my 40's. I came across Wigs.com and thought I'd just check to see if there were any reviews and what they said. Based on what I'v read on several sites, I think I'll go to the wig shop I spotted on Queens Blvd. in forest hills

I bought a wig from them and they promptly charged my credit card but no wig came my way. When I called to inquire after a long time I was advised it was on back order. I have shopped other retailers with backorders and they always let you know up front the item is not in stock and the availability date. All I got from Wigs.com was "well it is on bac order". One lady Valarie said it had shipped the day before and could not tell me what the tracking number was. When I spoke with a supervisor Tiffany all she said was it seems to be available but it has not made it to their warehouse and once there it would ship and arrive in approximately 10 business days. I asked her when it would ship and she had no answer. It is in really poor taste for a business to take your money and not deliver their end of the agreement. If the item is not available then you should tell the truth and let the customer shope elsewhere. I am not shopping for a wig to wear three months from now. I will never shop here agin!

Wigs.com is a fraud. I ordered a wig and they took my money and never bothered to let know that it was on back order. Other companies have back orders but they let you know when you are paying so that you can select something else and they give you an approximate date for availability. Well after waiting forever I called and was told "oh its on back order" and one person said it shipped the previous day but could not give me tracking information and then her boss told me it has not made it to the warehouse yet but its on they way and once it gets there it will ship. No confirmation of dates. In other words, I could be waiting a month. I was very disappointed at being lied to. Never once did they say "sorry about that it will not happen again". It is wrong to take someones money and not live up to the agreement. I will never do business with this company again.

It is 100% illegal to charge someone for a product that has not been recieved by the customer. Wigs.com has many other wigs, cosmetics and web hosting as well as film production business and websites that they own. Beware of them they are a scam and a complete rip off, they have scammed people all over the world. Wigs.com has complaint with every agency you can think of. I think the best thing for any consumer to do is call your bank and reverse the charges and let them know you were charged illegally for merchandise you did not recieve. Then contact the Fair Trade Commision and make a complaint, you can do it online they will investigate.

I think they have a new site BHOWigs, be very careful their sites always have all these wigs and different types listed, knowing full well they don't have none of the wigs in stock and their policy is always writen rudely and crude. Making no sense at all about the customer may have to wait and nonsense about back orders. That's when you know it's one of their sites, they change their names of their sites over time to continue ripping consumers off. If you do get somehow tricked into ordering from one of their many site just reverse the charges and don't bother to converse with them they will harrass you through emails and somtimes phone calls. If they do send you harassing e-mail keep a copy of them and include that in your complaint and you can also contact the Attorney General's office with complaints they are located in California. Beware also of the fake postitive reviews they've written about themselves on their site and and on Yahoo they are bogus!

They usually put bogus addresses up on their site so you can' t find them.

I HATE Wigs.com! I was a customer for years and now they lost me. After reading the other complaints I see I am not alone. I paid for my order months ago and I'm still waiting... even after speaking with multiple managers and all of the idiots in customer service. How freaking hard is it to do your job? Really... how many times can your company drop the ball? I'm beyond frustrated with this company and staff due to their icompetence and unprofessionalism. To anyone out there considering purchasing from wigs.com my advice is DON"T! All you are guaranteed with this purchase is a long wait, rude and unhelpful service from their representatives and a headache from being so damn frustrated. Taylor the manager can go to hell too! You said my order was on its way three different times... it's almost three months later. SCAM!
