WorldRemit Review: Terrible Customer Service and Refund Process
I had a really bad experience with WorldRemit. I sent money to someone and they never received it. I've been trying to get my refund for a long time now, but they keep giving me the runaround. They say that their local partners are holding the funds and that there are technical issues that are affecting the refund process. It's really frustrating because they keep giving me different time frames for when the refund will be processed. I don't believe them anymore. I think they're just lying to me so they don't have to give me my money back.
I've tried to contact them through email and phone, but they keep ignoring me or hanging up on me. It's really unprofessional and disrespectful. I feel like they don't care about their customers at all. They just want to take our money and run.
I'm really disappointed with WorldRemit. I thought they were a trustworthy company, but now I realize that they're just a scam. I wouldn't recommend using their transfer service to anyone. If you're in the same situation as me, I suggest you take immediate action. I'm going to report them to the action fraud police and my bank. It's the only way to get this resolved.
In conclusion, WorldRemit is a terrible company that doesn't care about its customers. They will hold your funds and never reimburse you. Don't trust them.
World Remit Review: Unreliable and Potentially Scamming Customers
This website seems to be having some serious issues or maybe even trying to scam people. I tried to transfer money using my credit card for a whole week and kept getting error messages. My credit card company said everything was fine on their end, but when I called World Remit, they told me that the problem was with my credit card and that my account was ready to use. Finally, I asked a family member to lend me some money using their debit card and it seemed to work. However, just minutes later, I received an email saying that the transaction was cancelled and my account was permanently closed. The money has already been taken out of the bank account and it may take up to 21 days to get it refunded. This has left me in a very difficult situation, in a foreign country without access to cash (and now also owing my family member for the cancelled transaction that hasn't been refunded yet).
I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this service. Xoom may not have as good of an exchange rate, but at least they are reliable and efficient. I will be using them from now on.
WorldRemit Review: Nightmare Money Transfer Experience and Suspected Fraud
I just wanted to share my experience with WorldRemit, a money transfer service that I recently used to send ?3500 from my UK bank account to my US account at a US bank. Unfortunately, the transfer process has been a complete nightmare and it has taken over 10 days for the funds to be transferred.
Firstly, WorldRemit asked me to provide a copy of my passport, which I did. However, even after providing the necessary documentation, they failed to complete the transaction. They even alerted me twice that their payor partner in the US had completed the transaction and that my US bank was at fault for not showing the transaction. This caused a lot of confusion and frustration, and I had to initiate an investigation within my US bank.
To make matters worse, WorldRemit then emailed me to tell me that the details of my US bank account were wrong, even though I had sent them a copy of a canceled check. This made me suspicious that WorldRemit staff might be involved in fraudulent activity with the company. I strongly believe that this requires an official investigation by EU and US authorities.
As of now, I have not received my funds and there is no indication that WorldRemit will either return the funds to my UK account or complete the delivery of my funds to my US account. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of oversight and rampant fraud within this firm. I strongly advise against trusting WorldRemit and urge others to be cautious when using their services.
In conclusion, my experience with WorldRemit has been a complete disaster. I feel like I have been robbed of my hard-earned money and I am extremely frustrated with the lack of accountability and transparency within the company. I hope that my review will serve as a warning to others and that WorldRemit will be thoroughly investigated for stealing from its clients.
WorldRemit's Refund Process is a Nightmare - My Experience
I gotta say, I'm pretty ticked off with WorldRemit. I followed all the instructions on their FAQ page and even prepared all the bank documents they asked for, just so they could investigate my case and hopefully get me my refund. But let me tell you, it took them almost a whole month just to investigate my case! And to make matters worse, every time they contacted me about the case, it was a different person and they kept asking me for the same dang thing over and over again.
Now, I don't know about you, but I don't keep all my bank records on hand, so every time they asked for it, I had to go through the hassle of getting my bank statement and sending it over to their so-called "experts". And get this, they kept saying that they don't keep customers' bank records, so I had to keep sending it to them every time they asked. It was like a never-ending loophole!
A few weeks ago, one of their "experts" told me that my refund had been successfully processed. But guess what? The refund never made it to my account! I mean, come on, WorldRemit, what gives? Are you just trying to deceive people?
So, if any of you are thinking of using their service, go ahead, but just be careful if you ever need a refund. They'll do everything in their power to make you annoyed and give up on getting your money back.
WorldRemit Review: Unreliable and Scam Company - Do Not Use!
I had a really bad experience with WorldRemit. I was trying to send money to Thailand, but they sent me an email saying that the transaction couldn't be completed because the recipient's details were incorrect. I was really confused because I had sent money to the same recipient before with WorldRemit and the details were exactly the same. The first time I used WorldRemit, everything went smoothly, but this time they claimed there was an issue with the details.
I asked WorldRemit to cancel the transaction since they said the details were incorrect. In my WorldRemit account, it showed that the transaction was cancelled. So I decided to send the money again, but this time I used a different company. However, WorldRemit never returned my money. When I contacted them to ask where my money was, they claimed that they had transferred the money to the recipient, even though I had asked them to cancel it and they had confirmed the cancellation. The recipient never received the money and I never got my money back.
I would strongly advise against using WorldRemit. They are a scam company and you can't trust them. Instead, I started using Western Union. They are much faster, cheaper, and the transaction process is much easier. Most importantly, they can be trusted.
So, if you want to avoid losing your money, DO NOT USE WorldRemit! They are not reliable and your money may disappear in mysterious ways.
World Remit's New Policies Caused Trouble for a Long-Time Customer
I've been using World Remit for a while now, since 2016 to be exact, and I never had any issues with them. However, I recently encountered a problem with their new policies that might cause trouble for their customers in the future.
Let me tell you about my experience as a long-time customer. I sent a fee of $65 for my disabled child's online class, and in the past, World Remit would ask me for the recipient ID, which I would provide right away. But this time, they're holding my $65 transaction for 11 days! When I called to inquire about it, they told me it's under security review. I called again and spoke with a supervisor who lied to me, saying that my transaction would be released within two hours, and they would give me a follow-up call. But, of course, no one called. On my third call, I waited for almost an hour to speak with the supervisor, and they offered to cancel my transaction because the security department didn't receive my recipient ID. I was surprised because I never received any calls from them to inform me that they were missing the ID. In the past, I've made thousands of dollars worth of transactions with World Remit, but they dropped their respect for me in just one $65 transaction. I'm disappointed, and I will definitely use a different company in the future.
Overall, I think World Remit needs to improve their customer service and communication skills. It's frustrating to wait for 11 days without any updates or calls from them. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and honesty, especially if I've been using their service for years. I hope they take this feedback seriously and make the necessary changes to avoid losing more customers in the future.
WorldRemit: A Disappointing Experience and Poor Customer Service
So, I was trying to pay for something on a website and they directed me to WorldRemit for payment. I had to download their app and verify my info, which was a bit of a hassle, but I managed to do it. I paid with my credit card and thought everything was good to go. But then, just 5 minutes later, I got an email from WorldRemit saying my transaction had been cancelled. What the heck?
I called them up to find out what was going on and they told me that not only was my transaction cancelled, but my account had been "deactivated" and I wouldn't be able to use their service again. What?! I asked them why this happened and how I could fix it, but they wouldn't give me any answers. They just said I had been "flagged" for something and that was that. I wasted so much time setting up my account and verifying my info for nothing.
I'm really disappointed with WorldRemit and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They don't seem to care about their customers at all. And to make matters worse, they only post positive reviews on their website and ignore all the negative ones. That's just shady. I wish I could give them less than one star. If you're looking for a money transfer service, go with someone else.
WorldRemit Review: Horrible Experience Sending Money, Account Closed for $200 Transfer
I was totally shocked when I tried to send a mere $200 through WorldRemit yesterday. They asked for authorization, so I called them up. I was on hold for 45 minutes before someone finally answered. Then, they asked me detailed questions for 57 minutes! Some of the questions were about how I knew the person I was sending money to, where we met, how we met, when was the last time I saw her, and what our relationship was. I was starting to feel like I was being interrogated!
When I finally said that this was too many questions for just $200, the guy on the other end said, "Oh, so you're uncomfortable answering questions!" I told him that I wasn't uncomfortable, but this was ridiculous. They kept asking more and more questions until they finally said they would send me an email letting me know about their decision.
When I received the email, it said that my account would remain closed. The money had already been debited from my account, so I was left feeling completely disrespected. It's no wonder that this company isn't accredited. Don't waste your time, money, and nerves with them. They're just plain horrible.
I noticed that they only post positive reviews on their website, which are probably written by their own employees. It's much better to just go to your bank and transfer money rather than dealing with WorldRemit. I will never try them again. NOT RECOMMENDED.
WorldRemit Review: Poor Customer Service and High Fees - Not Worth It
WorldRemit is a service that I recently tried out, and I have to say that my experience was not the best. If you happen to have any issues with their service, don't bother trying to write to them because they won't answer. Instead, you'll have to call them, and be prepared to wait on hold for at least 20 minutes, sometimes even up to 30 minutes. They do tell you the approximate waiting time right at the beginning, but it's still frustrating to have to wait for so long.
I unfortunately had to deal with a situation where I sent money to a scammer, and I asked WorldRemit for my money back. They did refund me since the money hadn't been paid out yet, but they didn't send me any email or message to confirm this. To make matters worse, they also blocked and deleted my account at the same time.
The cost of using WorldRemit is also higher than most other services, and considering the poor customer service, it's just not worth it. I've had similar problems with transactions over Western Union, but the difference in service is like night and day. With Western Union, there's no waiting time to get someone on the customer service hotline, the fees are lower, and your money is transferred instantly. The biggest difference between WorldRemit and Western Union is that Western Union actually cares about their customers, and you feel appreciated. If something goes wrong, they take very good care of you.
In conclusion, I would advise anyone to stay away from WorldRemit whenever possible. The poor customer service and high fees just aren't worth it.
WorldRemit Review: Cancelled Transaction and Closed Account with No Explanation
So, I was scrolling through the internet and saw WorldRemit's ads. I thought to myself, "Why not give it a try?" I wanted to send some money from the USA to Mexico, and I figured I'd try WorldRemit instead of WU. Signing up was a breeze, and I didn't have any issues with it. However, things took a turn for the worse almost immediately after creating the transfer and collecting the money to be sent from my bank account (which was several hundred $USD). WorldRemit sent me a message saying that they had made the decision to cancel my transaction and close my account. I was shocked and confused. Why would they do that? There was no explanation given, and I was left in the dark.
I tried to use their chat option to get some answers, but all I got was a generic message about the 2 to 21 days it would take for my money to be back in my bank account. They couldn't tell me why the decision was made, and they suggested that I read their terms and conditions to figure it out myself. I was frustrated and disappointed. I wish I had done some research before using this company because their Customer Review Ranking is only 1.76 out of 5. That's a clear indication that they don't have many satisfied customers.
I'm not happy with my experience with WorldRemit, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. It's important to do your homework before using any service, especially when it comes to sending money. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Funds never received in another country and no email to find out from them
I sent funds on Wednesday 5/31/2023 morning to Fiji using their money transfer via wire and it was never received by my sister, the recipient. This is the first time that it has happened to us. I've been trying to call and contact World Remit since yesterday but have not heard back. Their USA phone service keeps me on hold and I have had to hang up. They have already taken funds from my bank account and I have no choice except to file a complaint against them.
I would like my money refunded back to me and hope it will eventually be done. Please help me with this transaction at your earliest convenience. Thank you.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund back ASAP and at least get a response back as to why the transaction was never received in Fii and why I was never told anything
Limited to using an iPhone or iPad and can only use service by downloading an app
I've been very happily using World Remit since August 2022, but since they recently implemented using an app only, I am unable to use the service. I have neither an iPhone nor an iPad and have only a laptop to transfer money. I'm sure many appreciate this new service, but you should allow all users the option of using an app or desktop or laptop to send money abroad, not limit it to certain people only.
Desired outcome: I want to be able to use my laptop to send money through World Remit. This should be an offered option, not just using the service through an app.

The website seems to have changed and I am not sure if it was hacked or something odd.
I have used it very often to send money via gcash and always always always gives me several options
Now only credit card option, no other option
No debit, no interact?
And I can not speak with anyone at all ever it is a loop and very, very frustrating
Can someone call me or email me or something?
