Horrible
Quality of the work was terrible and I was absolutely disgusted with the result. WriterBay disappointed me a lot and when I demanded my money back they were very rude and refused. They said it was my problem that I did not like something.
I made a small research and found out that these guys are not from UK as they use to say. I have no idea where is their real location but I'll figure that out and I'm already in process of finding who these scammers really are! Avoid!

Job
Started working here 2 years ago and working till now. As a part-time job it has its advantages:
-free timetable
-ability to work from home and take cases when it is suitable
-easy job to do (write simple essays)
On the other hand, there are disadvantages, such as night revisions and picky clients. Sometimes it takes a while to explain that client is actually wrong and writer should get the additional payment for extra work.
All in all working here is not a complicated thing to do and it allows to earn a good money online. I would recommend it for calm and patient writers.
Horrible!
I worked for these guys for about three months and got nothing!
You will never earn anything here and don't even listen to their promises. They said that I'll get enough money for my work but I got nothing but pennies!
When I contacted them and asked about the money they said that it's not their problem.
I tried to resolve the situation, but one day they just deleted my account and got rid of me!
WriterBay treat their writers horribly!
Actually I want to thank WriterBay, because this nightmare is finally over and I will not waste my talent in this junk pit any longer!
Thank you for your feedback regarding our company.
WriterBay.com makes all the payments between the 16th and the 20th of every month. If one's account is terminated before the start of that month's payment period, we still transfer the payments during the payment period. It is currently June 17; therefore, if you did provide us with valid payment details, expect your outstanding balance to be transferred by the 20th of June. If you never provided us with your payment details, please check your inbox (we usually send e-mail reminders in such case) and get back to us at manager@writerbay.com.

I have been working with this company for already half a year and during this time discovered all their advantages and disadvantages. First about what is making me sad. The registration process is the milestone that cannot be easily overcome. Indeed, I have spent quite a lot of time for the application form as it consists of multiple steps, but all my endeavors were justified. When I received invitation letter I was so happy. So, if you decided to enroll be ready for the challenging application, but all your efforts will be rewarded later. The second thing that sometimes is driving me crazy is the payment that is made only once a month. I’d like to receive money two or even three times a month. I guess they should do something with it.
Now let’s have a look at advantages. First of all, the membership is free of charge. It’s really good, cuz I was working with the company that required a membership fees and I recall this time only as a nightmare. Luckily, here we do not have this thing. Secondly, they have very friendly support team that is available 24/7. They are always ready to help even if you have stupid questions. The last thing is that they have just fabulous bonuses system. I hope that they will keep moving in the same direction.
They didn't pay, but promised a lot
I recently started to work for the company www.writerbay.com. I waited for the payment about 3 weeks and each time I heard some ###. They didn’t pay on time, as well as their support time was always unavailable. It was the worst experience in my life; therefore I decided to warn other people. I wonder if there are other people, who had the same experience. Let’s share views about this website.
Writerbay is just a piece of [censor]. Working for them two years earning the meager pay delivered in untimely manner to always ensure you have two months in arrears. Assigning you orders that they want to pay two pages for you to answer 1000 questions in paragraph form for each question and when it spills to more than two pages, no one cares. Very swift in imposing illogical fines based on client invalid feedback and timely delivery. They call you and if unavailable, $2 dollars gone, what the s#*t? My account got some fraudulent activities as was reported, now nine months down the line without my pay, only empty promises from fake persons that I do not know where they are located... Working here is a complete waste of time and they will still rob you the peanuts that you have justly earned!
Writerbay might have sponsored this page. but I am a verified writer with writerBay.com for more than four months. They are full of discrepancy and double standards. For no reason, they paid their writer as low as 4/page, and most of the assignment they will assign to you will exceed the actual pages they always paid for. It is so draining to work here but no choice still.
They will give you an order with many questions, and they want you to provide two pages of answers which is practically not possible. If the pages summary answer you eventually provided extended to 7 or 8 pages and you try to complain, they will simply ignore.
But when clients raised complaints, they will immediately impose a heavy fine on you. I was fined $160 for an order worth of $28 without any investigations.
They pay once a month without delay for me, but for no reason, they will not pay you the exact money you earn as a writer. They are basically exploiters, but you can also come and write for them if you want to waste your time like and earn a peanut for your precious efforts.
I wanted to get some legit freelance work online. For me the site seemed professional and I completed the registration process. It was too lengthy. Still waiting to hear from them. Recently heard about the site www, clearessays.com to join as academic writer. Can anyone share experience with this site?
The company deals with its writers very poorly. All its rules go against writers. Their pay is one of the lowest in the industry but they expect top quality output from the writers even though they do not give any incentive to writers to feel motivated and work hard. One amusing thing is that they impose a fine of 25% of the project money if the client gives negative feedback but gives reward of only 5% of the project salary in case of positive feedback from clients. I think this site is pretty exploitative especially for new writers.
I have been working with Writerbay for over 2 years. In my case, they NEVER delayed with payment. But you ought to earn more than $100 to get the payment processed. However, in recent times, they are bringing in a lot of changes that are interfering with my personal life. Earlier writer could apply for projects at their own discretion but these days projects are getting assigned on the basis of proficiency but this proficiency part is totally hogwash because there is a lot if favoritism involved whether you will have access to good orders. If you fulfill all their demands, you may continue to remain in their good book and may get good orders but it becomes impossible to keep all their requests especially for complicated projects, demanding clients and less pay.
Despite the numerous comments against the site, I have worked for the company for the last 8 months and all my payments have been delivered on timely basis. The support team has been prompt to address any issues I raise. I am therefore not aware of such misconduct as argued by the rest but if that is the case then the company needs to address such issues.
I started working on their very first assignment, which was initially approved by them and subsequently they raised issue with that stating that it had lots of errors. When I asked for the explanation, they mentioned the flaws in context to grammar and formatting errors. When I asked for specific details they did not respond on that and forced me to revise the document again and again. Sometime later they said that the solution had forced vocabulary rather than grammar errors and their second feedback contradicted with initial feedback. I reworked on their assignment following their calls and finally they took it back stating that the client rejected solution. I checked my formatting twice and could not find any error, even grammar was fine and still their responses were anonymous and never explained the details of what they claimed. They even imposed fine on me on the very first assignment and keep on calling me to pick further assignments. Is this the way they deal with writers? Is this a fake company? Could anybody enlighten more facts regarding the concerns?
First, their materials were full of grammar and spelling errors. Their grammar test had grammar errors. I fudged the citations tests and scored as expected. (2 out of 5) I was asked to upload a PDF (terminal degree "diploma") but the site did not accept PDF files. In the ned I got an email and attched the PDF.
I was speedily accepted. TOO speedily, Then the surreal experiences REALLY began. Their chat function was obnoxious and never truly responded to what I asked, but kept dinging me with message after message. Then, as I decided to stop for the day, I got multiple phone calls, the precise point of which was not clear. A lucrative assignment was taken back, messages about the first assignment piled up, each contradicting the last.
There was more. This is a mess and in NO way legit. Not in the US anyway. I can't speak to other countries.
As ECarroll just noted, "Their grammar test had grammar errors". Yes, you read correctly. THEIR test intended too test YOUR grammar skills has grammatical errors. In addition, the test answers that were officially correct were in fact not.
I was truly shocked. Let me share a letter I wrote to them. As of now it is an open letter:
Hello, my name is Diane Fortier, and I hold a Ph.D. in English. I was quite surprised to find two facts about your grammar test for job applicants - two facts that should concern you:
1. Your grammar test itself contains errors.
This fact alone should be quite embarrassing to your company. For your reference, I have attached screenshots showing all fifteen questions of the test that was given to me. As for Question 2, there should not be a semicolon (nor any punctuation) before "sweaters and jeans". "Sweaters and jeans" does not require a semicolon since it is not an independent clause. It is merely a noun phrase described by the adjective "baggy". A further grammar mistake is seen in Question 3. In Question 3, the word "how" is needed before the words "she manages to fit everything in" in order to make the sentence grammatical. I presume this may be simply an oversight on the part of the test writer, but it nevertheless does not look good for your company.
2. Your assessment of wrong versus correct answers on the test is itself mistaken.
This fact should be even more concerning to you than the first fact. According to your "grading", four out of my fifteen answers were mistaken. Let me point out that they are not mistaken. You are welcome to discuss this matter with me at grater length. Here are brief explanations of why all fifteen of my responses are correct:
Question 1: Because of the meaning of this sentence, we are logically required to use a contrasting conjunction, and "but" is the only one available.
Question 2: The adjective "baggy" is logical as a contrast to "tight-fitting". Furthermore, the adjective "baggy" is commonly used to describe clothing and is therefore correct.
Question 3: Here, I think, the question is poorly designed. Although "indefatigable" has a suitable meaning, is is a very uncommon word. The word "inexhaustible" seems a better choice since it is more common. ("Inexhaustible", apart from meaning incapable of being depleted, can in fact describe persons - as we say, for instance, "He is an inexhaustible runner". See http://www.dictionary.com/browse/inexhaustible )
Question 4: "Upshot" is the only suitable answer here as the sentence needs a word that is roughly synonymous with "outcome". The other three choices are clearly not options.
Question 5: "As long as" frequently means "on the condition that", and it is therefore a correct answer, both from a grammatical and logical viewpoint.
Question 6: It is obvious that "less" is the only correct answer.
Question 7: Since we do not say that an interest stumbled, thawed, or flagged, "tottered" is the suitable answer.
Question 8: The verb "preface" is absolutely suitable in this sentence. To preface something means to precede and thereby introduce something. It is for this reason that the first part of a book may be called "preface".
Question 9: The combination of the adverb "widely" and the adjective "dissimilar" is correct and commonly found in academic writing. It also makes perfect sense in terms of its meaning.
Question 10: In this question I found myself torn between the second choice and the fourth choice. I opted for the second choice (with grammatical inversion). While it is known that inversion usually happens only when a sentence is started with a negative adverb or adverb phrase - for instance "Not often did I see such a situation" or "Never has she made this mistake" - there are archaic cases in which inversion is used even without a clearly negative introduction. Relevant discussions can be found on the Internet.
Question 11: "Contrary" creates a sentence that is both grammatical and logical, and is therefore a correct answer.
Question 12: "Do you have" is no doubt the correct answer since the simple present tense describes regular and habitual events.
Question 13: "To feel an affinity with someone" is a common and correct expression in English, and it makes perfect sense in the sentence.
Question 14: See http://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/sing-someone-s-something-s-praises
Question 15: Although English has become somewhat corrupted when it comes to certain cases of subject/verb agreement, it is important to remember that "no one" is grammatically singular. We say, "No one is perfect" and "No one does the work". For this reason, a tag question at the end of a sentence beginning with "no one" is traditionally a singular tag question.
I hope this message to you will be helpful for your business.
Regards.
Diane Fortier, Ph.D.
Please indicate how much did you earn every month and what payment method you had been using, because I'm having the second delay issue for over a year and cannot figure out what is wrong. The support team is responsive, but they won't explain what is the problem exactly and say "the payment is coming", "the problem will be solved soon" etc. I think they hide something, because their explanations are not clear and do not stack up at all, on the edge of baloney...I noticed one thing: the lesser you earn, the longer you wait.
