I searched this company and found there are several complaints concerning this company’s bate and switch policy and the cancel order policy. I placed an order and called the next day requesting cancellation. The company refused. I and my husband expressed our complaint concerning the fraudulent practice of this company. I was not surprised to find several had also complained about this company’s trickery when it comes to its wording in advertisement. As one stated in another complaint, "their wording is dishonest" I agree. I am surprise they consider themselves to be a Christian company, with such horrific practices. They lure you in offering giant discounts and free books only to over charge you and then discount the outrageous price. As you can see in the email I was charged for the so called 25 free books. Once I brought it to his attention, I was sent another email with the 25 removed, but the price for each book is now more. If the books are free then the price should have not changed... ... I plan on writing my elected officials as well.
I choose Xulon after looking at many different publishing companies, and so far I have been very pleased with what they have done. They have keep their word on everything they said, the time my book was released was right on the time they said. All the staff I have dealt with have been overly nice and helpful. I have nothing but praise for them. I have another book ready to go to publishing and I am sure I will use them again.

I DID THE BOOK OF RUTH. I STILL WANT TO BUY SOME OF MY OWN BOOKS, RUTH AND WHY WE SHOULD LOVE GOD. IS EVERYTHING OK NOW, AND CAN I BUY SOME OF MY BOOKS?

Please do not let yourself get fooled by the so-called “Christian values” of this company. Xulon or Salem Author Services who like to say that they are “Serving Him By Serving You, ” have instead of providing Heavenly service, ended up putting us through 14 months of Hell.
We experienced nothing but a Slew of Repeated Errors and Horrible Service from Xulon / Salem to the point that we had to hire someone else not to miss a 2nd Christmas Season and take control of our publishing by using Ingram Spark.
It was at this time that we realized that they, themselves, do none other than use the same Ingram services. They have simply created a way for us writers to deliver our material to them, and then, they simply copy and paste it directly to Ingram. In the meantime, they will try and Up-Sell you at every step of the way.
The main problem is that they cannot even format the information we provide them correctly, and then they rely on you to approve their work. We found repeated errors in their formatting, and then again in the errors that we would tell them to correct. We are talking things like images missing outright from being inserted to chapters, whole sentences of capital letters where there shouldn't be any, improperly centered material, etc. These reviews resulted in more than four weeks of going over their repeated same mistakes which we kept running into, and where it was clear that the work was done in a rush manner and never reviewed internally before sending it back to us.

At least we were able to get a partial refund, but we only wish we had read these reviews and complaints prior and knew where to go and publish our book in the first place ourselves. We hope that for those of you who have already spent money and are reading this, that you will file a complaint about a refund. No one should have to go through this!
I have dealt with thousands of companies in my life and never have I had the misfortune to work with such a terrible company. The past 14 months were completely draining, and we would not wish it upon our worst enemy.
Lastly, instead of focusing on themselves by trying to sell us their “own personal” books and showing us all their awards for “Best Place to Work” in their email signatures (more proof that they only care about themselves), perhaps they should try and strive for “#1 in Customer Satisfaction”!

I have my very first book launch next week and never received my promised complimentary books. I fought AML Leukemia, a near death experience and now I am trying to spread Hope, Faith and encouragement to other cancer survivors. I am very disappointed

I used Xulon and it has been a nightmare. Nothing has been good. I couldn't list it all. I am on the computer trying to find someone higher up to listen to my needs and lack of response and found this. I think the public should know they are incapable and not responsible. That has been my experience.
