I would like to tell you all, what a horrible experience I had through yatra, and why u guys shouldn't plan any trips through them!

I went on a trip through yatra, to andaman and nicobar islands. Firstly, I was promised scuba diving, they cancelled my scuba diving, there at the last minute, without any prior intimation, also when I contacted their senior officials regarding this, ms vidhya, my trip planner, she refused to take responsibility of all this. We had booked prior scuba vouchers through yatra, which they still haven't refunded us. It's been a month! And nor, are they providing us with the full refund. On calling their customer care, the juniors don't let you talk to any of the senior people, and just stall you along.
Then havelock, being the biggest attraction of andaman, our stay was supposed to be there for 1.5 days, which they cut short, and we arrived there in the late afternoon and booked our return ferry early in the morning.
After wasting 3-4 hours of the trip, arguing regarding this, with the yatra people, all in vain, and our moods completely ruined, they refused to do anything about it.
Also we were promised a 3 star hotel, paid for the same, but instead got shifted to a shabby place in havelock at the last minute.
This actually happened with me. And the worst part is, their customer support team, is just not helpful at all. I was furious after this trip. Guys, if you want to go on a trip, I would recommend planning it on your own, or going for some other travel agents.

If you want a holiday package, never make the mistake of booking yatra. They'll turn your experience into a nightmare!
We booked a package to the andaman islands from 8-13th january. (Ref - ya1480057)
They are only concerned with selling you packages and acquiring the due advance, and afterwards when the time comes for providing after-sale service, no one cares.
We faced problems each and everyday and called every tom, dick and harry of yatra for assistance, but to no avail. Everyday we were told we’ll be getting a call back positively, which hasn’t happened till date.
Hotel in port blair - rose valley resort
We were lodged in a hotel whose owner is in jail and they can’t even afford quality food and all amenities were shut down (Swimming pool, club, etc. )
Hotel in havelock - symphony palms resort
Wonderful hotel ! Of which yatra had booked 3 annexe rooms for us. After numerous requests at the reception, we 9 people had to adjust in 2 normal rooms.
(Fyi – at this point I had called about 12 times at yatra and talked for an hour with a certain mr. Vikas panvar, whose contact was shared to us in our mails, who assured solving my problem and calling me back but ignored all my further calls, and same, no call back till date. )
Itinerary was highly illogical. Conveyed to us at immediate hours and no flexibility according to our schedules. No one took responsibility and showed accountability.
‘tour guides’ there showed helplessness of not having contact of any other person from yatra and thus, not able to solve any of our issues.
Itinerary only focussed on taking us from point a to point b, not having any understanding about quality time needed to be spent in any location, because of which we missed out on numerous things and had a very incomplete experience.
Would never advise anyone to travel with yatra! It’s a punishment. Go for mmt or thomas cook instead. They are 100 times better!

1. creating happy travellers – is an over statement.
2. writing to you as the last resort.
3. booked a trip to thailand with family on 27 mar 2016 vide your ref no yh2571399 as above for inr 1, 91, 000. (one lac ninty one thousand) felt that I actually wasted hard earned money.
4. took flight from mumbai to phuket on 28 mar 2016 and returned on 03 april 2016. thankfully I am my family returned back.
5. the experience was really bad.
6. I had issue right from the word go till I ended the trip and I kept updating the same on mail to mr. aditiya sharma - aditiyta. [protected]@yatra.com.
7. initially there was no response but when the yatra team responded – the response was just pathetic. I felt like dealing with a local vendor with absolutely no standing.
8. I and my family faced serious issues in thailand as yatra team did not respond in a professional manner.
9. I can now say that it was a waste of money and time along with a constant fear of getting in more trouble
10. spent more than inr 12000 (inr twelve thousand) which was not in the itinerary.
11. salient issues in the trip
A. room issue : the room in the hotel was not as per the described standards.
I. had booked a deluxe pool room
Ii. whereas we were given a room on the 4th floor.
B. tour issue :
I. as per itenary –
1. 30 mar 2015 was half day phuket tour.
2. 31 mar was phiphi island
Ii. whereas – on 30th mar 2016 - we were sent to phiphi island?
Iii. on 31 mar 2015 – we waited for the local phuket tour – no one turned up
Iv. we started emailing 0820 hrs onwards thailand time – say indian time ist 1000 hrs. I was responded late in the evening so the day was gone.
V. we waited till thailand time 1030 hrs (2 hrs) (ist 1130 hrs) and then when no one turned up.
Vi. we emailed the same to yatra team and then as no one responded – we took a cab thru the hotel for which we were not given a bill and costed us 6000 baths (inr 12000 – rupees twelve thousand only)
C. we reached bangkok on 01 april 2016 as schedule and then the tour was well taken care.
12. on coming back – since april 2016 - I have been communicating with mr. aditiya sharma and there was no response.
13. then in june 2016 miss charu mehta responded and after detailed inquiry, she concluded that the vendor was unable to send the vehicle and arrange the tour.
14. our impression
A. to get such a small information that the vehicle was not provided to the travellers – it took 90 days - 3 months?
B. now miss charu wants a receipt of the same saying that vendors are ready to refund? she also states that the cost of a taxi for a full day in pukhet is usd 10 (ten). and she would refund the same on production of receipt. ridiculous statement – isn’t it?
C. we suddenly felt that we were in a foreign land and were cheated by the so called premium travel agency in india.
D. the feeling of happiness was just gone for the moment and the whole idea of travelling with yatra seemed to really foolish and bad decision.
E. also we very strongly felt that there was no one in from team yatra to guide us in the foreign land when we were in trouble / in case we really landed in some trouble – at least yatra team was not dependable at all.
F. I strongly felt that yatra compromised my and my family’s safety and security in a foreign land.
G. this is a case of severe service deficiency in part of yatra.
H. we were handed over to a cheap and & unreliable vendor on arrival at phuket in thailand.
15. the solution requested –
A. since there was a severe service deficiency which was accepted and proved - we need
I. reimbursement of the money spent inr 12, 000 with 24% penal interest wef 01 april 2016 till date.
B. suitable compensation for the trouble in dealing with yatra team and wasting my and your time.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I have very horrible experience from yatra.com and I really doubt what services I will get during my holidays. Details as under.
1. I booked hotel through Yatra.com on 21st May as with booking ID YH2687888. My hotel booking is from 22nd June to 28th June at Goa for Honeymoon Package.
2. I got email confirmation from yatra .com with attached invoice receipt of Rs. 5300/- for advance of 25% amount. Attached invoice don’t show anything of balance payment to be made
3. Mr Sarthak Singh (sarthak.[protected]@yatra.com) confirmed over phone that balance payment can be made at Hotel directly. Unfortunately I don’t have any call recordings. It was never informed that I need to pay balance amount.
4. There was 3 lines in email mentioning payment to be done 19 days prior of start of trip. I didn’t get any reminder email or a call.
5. Now after almost 16 days when I wanted to get print outs of hotel tckets. When I was not able to take prints, I called customer service center to confirm about procedure to take print out of ticket.
6. It was informed that I need to make balance payment to take print outs. If I fail to pay then booking will be cancelled and will not get refund of booking amount as well.
7. Its really unfortunate that for more than 2 weeks no one even bothered to send a single line email or a call asking me to make payment.
8. Now I had to arrange payment from my friend. Now I have made all the payments to yatra.com. Still I am not able take print out of tickets.
9. I feel like cheated from yatra.com in this case. At least a single call or email was expected from representative of yatra.com
10. I will never recommend yatra for their trips. I really afraid now about what services I will get if start is like this.
I never thought my marriage leave will start like this. If I need to do all these arrangements and face so much troubles, then I wonder why I should choose yatra.com.

Yatra is so utterly unprofessional and deals in malpractices to extort money from customers in the name of offering the best and cheapest services! And once they've managed some or complete payment from the customers, the entire customer care department goes into hibernation. No support, whatsoever, can be expected from the travel sales guys or the customer care executives.
I had booked an Eastern Europe trip for 2 via Yatra (Booking #YH2501877). However, after the initial payment of Rs 40, 000, the customer care department neither takes my calls nor responds to mails. I've been trying to reach them for so many days now. Have tried filing complaints, but to no avail.
To top it all, I now realise that the same package is available at other travel sites at a cheaper rate. So, I do realise that you guys are not even the cheapest - as you claim to be! Such frauds!
Seeing this unprofessional behaviour, I seriously have no interest left in taking this trip. Can't afford to be left stranded on a foreign land, seeking support from the Yatra team in vain! Kindly refund my 40, 000/-. I don't wish to take this trip via Yatra.

This was the first time i had booked on yatra. Prior to this i had only confined myself to MakeMyTrip and Cleartrip.
I were planning to book a round trip ticket between Delhi and Bangalore . I booked the round trip ticket for 31st March and return for 3rd April. The total bundle price was Rs. 9690 where the one way trip was averaging Rs. 5300 per trip.
I booked my ticket with the bundle price offer. The first attempt got stuck in the OTP mode and were sent back on the payment making page. I could successfully book my ticket as all i was asked to do was to make to payment through Credit Card. I was dumb struck on seeing the SMS where in Rs. 6269 was charged against the one way return ticket. My ticket was booked only for the return.
I had spoken to the Call Center Representative where he said me to wait for 30 mins and they would come back to us. I had also written a mail to them for which they did not revert. Waiting for 10 hours i called them again. They had no words except saying the word "Sorry" time and again. How could i have utilize the return ticket when i hadn't been to the destination. The irony to add was that the day i were to go to Bangalore had the price lesser than they had booked mine.
I doubt if i would ever book my ticket again. I would also ask commuters to avoid Booking through Yatra. Yatra has bug in their software which their team need to look through.

I booked fight ticket from DTW to BLR via EWR. I requested them that I will board from EWR instead of DTW. For that below are options provided by executives ...
Rerouting my journey includes penalty charges from airlines+taxes+Yatra service chanrges (around Rs1000/-) + fare difference between...
Each provide different option...and ended up calling 6 executives in a row as call will get disconnect in middle...someone says ...I need to speak to airines...and airlines will say I need to contact Yatra...so I ended up finally in a situation without any changes in boarding point.
and rerouting also came to same as original ticket price ... cos I need to make 6 calls each 45 min...

exposing yatra's back-end communication goof-up:can you compensate for mental distress?!
I had booked VGP resort, Chennai to spend my first Valentine's day with my wife. This was booked well in advance on Feb 2nd with boooking reference number: [protected].
As we normally do, we confirm with the hotel a day in advance regarding the check-in and check-out time. I did the same on 12th Feb and to my surprise, the hotel manager at VGP rudely dismissed my enquiry saying rooms are all booked and i can check-in on 13th Feb at 12PM but on condition of an early check-out by 7 AM given that the hotel has an event happening and has informed all travel agents of the same. I found this disturbing and immediately called Yatra. The Yatra executive categorically confirmed the booking and told me not to worry and go ahead with our check-in and check-out at the usual time. I asked him to also revert if there are any proposed changes to which he said he would definitely do.
On 13th morning, we again called Yatra and enquired. They said there was no change in the itinerary and asked us to check-in as usual. We made arrangements, packed our bags and called Hotel Reservations to let them know we were on our way and that Yatra has confirmed the same when we were shockingly turned down. This communication, according to the hotel, was made to Yatra 4-5 days before. We again called Yatra, they stuck to their booking confirmation. We were mentally distraught by then that our plans stood cancelled, even more so by Yatra's inefficient handling that did not even acknowledge that the booking was cancelled and prior communication was made by the hotel. It was much after the check-in time and only after we called Yatra again did Yatra admit its glaring mistake of a communication goof-up between Yatra's back-end team and the Customer Service team.
Yatra's inefficiencies has sadly been exposed as they don't even compensate for the state of the beleaguered customer who was deprived of plans to spend a momentous occasion with a loved one at a planned destination; when they're helpless and can't make any other plans given the unavailability at other places. Would Yatra even care if the given customer made an inter-city hotel reservation and landed in Chennai only to realize that the booking isn't confirmed!
Their initiation of refund amount will not compensate for the mental trauma we have been through!

I booked the online ticket from Delhi to Melbourne vice versa. When I called to yatra customer care regarding rescheduling one ticket then they refused and said that ticket validity is only six month so they cont go beyond six month that the Airlines rule (Malaysia). When I asked for cancellation then they told its non refundable ticket. They people laying and making money. After that I contacted with Malaysian airline and they rescheduled the same ticket without any obligation of six month validity. That show how they are making money with customer by misguiding.

Today I bought My ticket through website for 4554 dollar and I did payment gave my credit card information and I also got email for confirmation E-ticket...later in 5 minutes I got a call that this ticket which we issued was a technical issue so you need to pay 6000 dollar now if you need to buy ticket or I will cancel it...and he cancel the ticket and send me email without telling me. This is completly FRAUD and Cheating and FOOLING customer.
I booked trip to KERALA on 5th of August 2015, from 12/02/2016 to 18/02/2016. 6 months in advance. Even then...
1. U people provided me one stop flight inspit of nonstop flight even when it was available.
2. I repeatedly sent emails regarding further information but u people didn't replied.
3. MD mukhtar send me e-mail in the night (10:30 PM) of 26th Jan saying that tomorrow is last date to deposit the due payment of ₹54000/-. I talked to him n told that it's not possible for me to arrange this much amount in night only, u should remind me earlier, but he didn't said anything except sorry.
4. Destinations were decided hazardously, we were traveling most of the time. All waterfalls were dry. U must know which time to visit.
5. Cosy houseboat experience was horrible. They arranged alternative houseboat from some local operator. Houseboat was worst among the ones in backwater. Full of mosquitos, bad smell, food was the worst one, even the dogs will refuse to eat. No candle light dinner was provided even when it was included in our itinerary. No return gift was provided.
6. Water escape hotel's room was full of rat's potty... even in refrigerator. AC was not working properly.
7. Yatra.com is jus a fraud n looteri company.
8. Yatra people have jus money making mentality. They do not give quality service.

I had planned my Honeymoon trip with Yatra.com Delhi To manali, date. 24 Dec To 27Dec It was the worst experience ever. One trip in my life which was supposed to be special was spoiled thanks to Yatra.com. Here is the list of events and mental agony faced by us We were left unattended at bus stops for 2-3 hr with no information about the Buses or Cabs to be boarded. I had to call their executives everytime to get the information. then after getting in to the bus man was demanding for 20RS per bag to keep inside the volvo. when i refused and called to yatra coordinator agent Mr.Kartik Juneja he said you have to give if you want your bag safe that was un expected from Yatra .com even i called to Yatra customer service but the concern person is yet getting back to me.no call back no info. The itinerary of the tour was not provided and we had to ask for it everytime and the attendant would manipulate it according to his convenience. We were left stranded at public places and had to call up and ask for the next sightseeing information. We faced mental agony because of the irresponsible behavior of yatra.com while returing from manali to delhi driver was drunk .yatra spoiled my india trip. I have booked a ticket in yatra.com with a promocode YBUS60. This gave me 60% cash back in my e-cash amount. But the problem with this company is the e-cash cannot be used at a time. Only less than 10% e-cash can be used. If i book again then i may again get 60% cash back. But my e-cash will be reduced very less. This makes of increasing of e-cash much but cannot be used all.
bad practices
I booked Two seats for delhi pune and pune delhi flight.
I got ref . no [protected] and I was informed to pay Rs 1478/- more giving reason that when your payment was made to Air India at that time flight fare had revised.
This is really bad practice and cheating customers.
Similarly it is happening for the last2-3 months.
You check all flights select one and give travel details and as soon as you click to pay at that time Yatra shows fare have increased and you need to pay more (it is always Rs1400/- to Rs 2000/-)
Finally one pays more as he has done lot of work in filling passanger details and selecting flights.
bUT IF YOU AGAIN SEARCH A FLIGHT THE FARE SHOWN IS LESS AND AFTER 1 HOUR ALSO THE FLIGHT FARES ARE REVISED WHEN YOU CLICK TO PAY FOR IT.
This is really cheating customers .
You should book with Airlines directly and you get bookings in the same fare there.
Yatra does not make any changes in name etc once booked and asks for more payment but air lines helps you in everything.

I'm Ram Kumaran from Bengaluru, I booked a trip to Mauritius via Yatra. Aditya Koer, Travel Consultant of Yatra promised that he'll issue me an E-Cash voucher for Rs.6000. Later I also dropped a mail to Pooja khanna, she didn't respond and hence I called Deepika Yadav, she assured that I'll get it and will escalate to concerned team, still no response. I ALREADY RAISED A COMPLAINT REGARDING THIS and NO ACTION WAS TAKEN. PLEASE ISSUE MY E-CASH VOUCHER OR PROVIDE IT AS REFUND.
I followed up and made a call to Anil Tyagi on 26/05/2016 at 11:52 AM, he said he'll get this resolved. When I asked for a complaint number, he refused to give. They don't even keep track of complaints and don't want their customers to follow up.

I have been fighting for my money since last 4 months and written them 18 mails and they did not respond to my mail nor they pick up phone. Infact I get to hear that they are in meeting . I had received a call from Yatratimes on 15/01/2015 from [protected] and a person named Rahul tried luring me to buy a package for Rs.10999 and asked to check thier website which i subsequently did after a couple of phonecalls. I then agreed to take a package and also paid the amount through my credit card. He then called up again asking me to take another package which also i did by encouraging my cousin to do so in return for which the company promised to give me a Blackberry Z10 which i didn't recieved. I then happened to receive confirmation documents from the company through post which my cousin did not receive . Consequently I called the company regarding the same but it was since then that the company started ignoring my calls and also all efforts made even through mail to be able to contact them were in vain. This frustrating act is so disturbing with no replies, no trace of my money or my cousin's, and no idea about how to go about this issue. The documents i received serve as proof and I do not intend to stay shut at this issue. I also read many other similar complaints and am shocked that nothing has been done about the same as the number of frauds keep increasing and still unheard. It is high time the government, or the police department step up to their responsibility and take a strict action against this company. We middle class families who just plainly seek to go for a holiday find it difficult to trust any company and also fail to trust that any high authority would come to a rescue.
I will not leave this issue just here and will fight till i get justice for this fraudulent act. I am firm on my demand for a refund of all mine and my cousin's money and will not stay quiet about it.

bad experience with yatra
I just finished my honeymoon trip with yatra and feel bad to say that our experience was not at all good. My booking reference number was S1145987.
I will not recommend yatra to anyone and will never use the services of yatra ever.
Last day was most horrible for us as the hotel in backwaters was not at all safe. It was dirty and had no connectivity with city. 17 km away from main area and that too a dirty hotel makes no sense. There was no one except the 2 of us. and it was not lake view it was the view of a dirty gutter on which the hotel was made. Even the hotel owner told us names of some good hotels where we could go. It seems like yatra does not care for the safety of its passengers. We had to spend extra 6000 rs to find another safe hotel. Your hotel in backwaters was nowhere near to a 3 star hotel.
We want the refund of this extra amount that we had to spend just because of your poor arrangements. After giving you 60, 000 rs, the arrangement was not worth it.
1) From starting we were facing difficulties. Our jet airway flight was delayed by 2 hours and we had no notification from yatra side. When we contacted jet airways they said that yatra has given its own number in contact details and not our numbers. We unnecessarily had to wait for 2 hours.
2) Our hotel in thekkedy was good but the services were not at all good. The staff was lazy . there was no cold water coming out of tap and we wasted our 1.5 hr for just waiting for cold water to take bath. We ordered cake in the night which was stale, it just spoilt my honeymoon cake plan .
3) Our hotel in kovalam was very good but its strange that why we were given a hotel that was far away from the 3 beaches. You could have given us any hotel near beaches so that we could enjoy the main attractions over there.
In all our experience was very bad and we are feeling like we could have planned better that this by our own.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
The Air India flight from Amdabad to Mumbai was cancelled and Yatra has still not returned the money for 4 tickets. I have sent them the copies of the ticket duely signed by the Airline but they have not returned the money. The calls to their call center have been frustrating with so many broken promises that its not even worth mentioning. Every time I mention about refund the call automatically drops.
I had booked flight Tickets from B'lore to Pune on 23rd for 26th Indigo Flight and return Flight by Spicejet for 29th DEc. I was told money would be refunded in about 7 days. Not heard from yatra still about the status. Booking reference is DOLBDC
Will never use this company again - after having a medical emergency yatra.com refused any kind of refund and provided useless information to further change the reservation. I am now left with having to purchase a new ticket.
If you are a smart person you will not use this company - they are awful.

a fraud company
We booked a desert camp and a hotel in Jaisalmer from Yatra.com but when we reached the camp, the owner asked us to pay extra seasonal charges of Rs 2000 per camp while these charges were written inside INCLUSIONS on the yatra ticket. Yatra customer care was quite unhelpful and all they could do was to put our calls on hold for more than 30 minutes. After standing out for hours we had no other option but to pay the amount.
Next day when we reached hotel, the owner told us that the room is not at all booked and he has not received the booking amount from Yatra. Again, we tried to seek resolution from Yatra.com but all in vain. We had to find another hotel by ourselves and pay the amount. Even after paying around 20, 000/- to Yatra, we had to pay again. Pathetic Service !
Please do not do any sort of booking from this fraud website. Their customer service is pathetic. All they could give you is "Sorry" and no resolution at all. Other portals like MakeMyTrip and Expedia are much better than this fraud company
