YouTube censorship

Please stop deleting channels that do not actually encourage or invite any hatred or violence... having controversial opinions is not the same as the above. You deleted the iconoclast and way of the world, yet you allow The Young Turks, who are open 9/11 supporters. Restore those two channels please! Both of those creators are hardworking and they or their heart into the content they make. They built those channels up from scratch and they do not deserve to be attacked just because you don't agree with them.

I agree. I do not like conservative channels but they have the right to be on Youtube as long as they comply with Youtube policies. Susan Wabbajack needs to be fired ASAP!

The Left (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc) only know to silence people they don't agree with. They will not argue because they are in the wrong and know it.

YouTube youtube

Yesterday the popular YouTubers 'The Iconoclast' and 'Way of the World' had their entire channels deleted with little explanation. Both channels were in good standing and had hundreds of thousands of subscribers who loved their videos which talked about issues that many of us are deeply concerned with. YouTube is not promoting free speech and is abusing its powers as a platform and targetting people who have differing political opinions to them, without explanation or offering a way for any offending content to be amended. This has to stop as they shouldn't be breaking the first amendment.

This video was a taped dr phil show. So it was seen by many people but you don't want anyone else to see it because it deals with pedophilia?
YouTube would rather the public be uneducated about pedos ?
You are a problem!
If you can't let people be informed here why do you even offer the platform? For your own propaganda?
So many good videos are blocked now.
The real users that come here are leaving because of the SICKENING bias you show us. You WANT more trafficking victims so you take down videos that inform the public how trafficking works.
YOU SHOULD BE HELD AS AN ACCOMPLIS TO THESE DEVIENTS! By removing public information regarding peods you are aiding them (and likely part of that sick group) I left cnn's lies 7 years ago and just look what is happening to them. I warned them in a letter. I'm warning you now. CNN didn't take me seriously. U won't either, and you won't remember me when my words come to pass. YouTube Youtube censorship

I use YouTube daily, one of my favourite channels is The Iconoclast which you have just deleted. 200, 000 other people had subscribed to this channel so it's pretty popular. When you delete a channel like this you are effectively saying that all of us are guilty of some 'thought crime', that if we like this channel and it's posts we are hateful people. We are not. You are censoring dissent - how undemocratic is that. Society only moves forward because people have the courage to challenge accepted ideas. The world was once flat, without dissenters proving otherwise, we'd still be living in the dark ages. YouTube does not need to 'protect' me from difficult ideas, I am an adult, I need to challenge my perceptions and make up my own mind whether to agree or disagree with what someone says. If you continue to censor channels by demonetisation, putting them in limited state or removal you will be changing Society and not in the way you wish. You will be creating an authoritarian intolerant social platform that must be challenged, you are in effect encouraging all your loyal viewers to decide whether they wish to be associated with your high handed totalitarian methods. I know I will not. Please show some integrity and reinstate The Iconoclast.

YouTube is great, it's a wonderful resource, entertainment mechanism, etc., BUT there's a BIG BUT. I've seen YouTube beginning to fall into the Facebook trap 'arbitrarily' editing content. Supposedly the U.S. was created on the basis of 'free-speech'. I personally want to see free-speech given to everyone from the KKK to Antifa, even though I personally despise both those entities and find 'outliers' to be problematic. Nevertheless, I believe in everyone's right to speak their mind. I discontinued my Facebook account, which I've had since the 'early-years', as I found their 'editing' despicable. I don't want to lose a resource like YouTube. Your users want to make up our own minds. News should be reported, not 'spun' or marginalized by censorship. Mark Thrapp thrappm@aol.com

Dear YouTube:
You keep asking if I would like to purchase YouTube TV. Yes, I would, but I'll be damned if I am going to support irrational censorship. You just demonetized Roman of Epoch Times. That is one of the few honest publications on the net. Are you insane? Your censors do not know what they are doing. Roman does not make crazy unsubstantiated comments. The problem is YouTube has joined in the promotion of increasingly intolerant liberal propaganda. The media has become the propaganda arm of the Democrat party. Who are you Big Brother? Are you afraid of another opinion? You had better stop suppressing views you don't agree with, as eventually, conservatives are going to move away from YouTube, Facebook, etc. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Welcome to 1984. You intolerant [censored] need to stop censoring people.
Sincerely,

Dear Youtube, I would like to ask you to consider to reinstate channels The Iconoclast and Way of the World. Those two channels definitely were not hateful. There was just reasonable, common sense, poignant and precisely articulated commentaries to various issues that hurt our current society. In one ordinary rap song you can find much more violence and hate than in any video of above mentioned channels. Your decision to delete those channels appears to be very scary for me - I lived in totalitarian state for a significant part of my life and I will never forget the free speech persecution in those days. I always thought western society is very proud to openly discuss many various topics from many points of view without getting offended - this IS democracy - and I am very sorry to be dissapointed so much. It's like a very dark flashback to my youth. I strongly believe that disappearing of The Iconoclast and Way of the World was just some technical discrepancy and not a purpose. Thank you in advance for Your kind attention and I hope (with many other YouTube users) that I will find more videos from both mentioned creators in the future.

YouTube music performance

I typed 'O Swallow, Swallow Gustav Holst' hoping to listen to a couple of performances of this lovely trio with piano accompaniment. You can imagine my shock and disgust when I was presented with videos of men and women performing sex acts which involved sucking and swallowing. I was disgusted. If there are no rules that prevent videos of this sort of revolting behaviour being uploaded and shared with the wider world, the videos should at least be X-Rated and only available on request - not simply presented to the unsuspecting and innocent. I intend to take this further.

YouTube youtube support

I am absolutely furious with YouTube's creator support. I have been unable to speak with anyone from YouTube since June 14th 2019 after my channel was terminated without consultation or communication. My faxes and twitter messages are being ignored including a subject access request I submitted requesting YouTube to provide me with all of the personal data they are holding about me. This has been ignored which is a serious breach of GDPR EU law. My channel was unfairly terminated following having a channel in good standing for ten years. The termination has had a big impact on my business and other organisations who I collaborate with.

Okay, I have been patience with this bot. I do NOT as an American Citizen have any clue, nor am I interested in the algorithms (a process or set of rules to be followed in calculations or other problem-solving operations, especially by a computer) of your system that has decided for me preferences.

I am offended.

I will not accept this kind of disrespect.

YouTube my youtube channel audrey kitty

The comments are disabled by youtube on my videos but there are no children or minors in my videos! Even my videos of my cats and my college karate class video have the comments disabled. I'm really sick of this and would like it to be fixed. Reenabling it manually doesnt work either, and I've tried multiple times to enable comments but when I save and go to the video, comments are still disabled, and I go back to enable and see its disabled but clicked enable comments never works no matter how many times I do it. Also, some of my videos are age restricted which I dont understand since it's just my feet and my cats. I would appreciate some feed back and help to resolve this.

yeah so what's up with all these ads? Every single video I watch I watch 2 ads, then try to go onto my next video and have to watch 2 MORE ADS. YouTube, stop letting everybody puts ads to everything and more importantly YOU stop putting so many ads. I'm really thinking about deleting YouTube (I've had it for 5 years now) and that sucks because I really enjoy watching my videos and not being interrupted by random [censored] my entire time. Ruins my experience on your platform.

YouTube advertisement for good boys

There is an advertisement for a new film called good boys appearing before video clips accesable by my children ie computer gaming, cars ect which I think is highly innapropriate. The advert shows pretty much how to type porn into a search engine, shows the actors playing in a sex swing and they are told it is a sex swing, another add shows them holding sex toys and asking what Anal beads are. My kids are 5 and 12 and youtube has exposed them to this and I am extremely dissapointed and angry. I am expecting questions that I dont think I can answer to a child. Please review the advert immediatly and have it shown where appropriate if that is even possible?

YouTube mighty oaks foundation ad removed for "christian" search keyword, "muslim" not removed

Youtube is continuing to demonstrate bias and suppression toward Christian people and businesses. The Mighty Oaks Foundation ad was removed for "unacceptable" content, because they used a search keyword of "Christian". When resubmitted with the word "Muslim", they were not censored.
I am not complaining about the acceptance of Muslim. All religious keywords should be allowed equally. Google linked businesses are very anti-Christian.

YouTube mobile payment charge

Although I have no recollection of this, according to a company called PM Connect running a service called 3Pointer.TV, on 22/05/2019 20:44:01 I unknowingly subscribed to a premium mobile service by clicking/tapping twice on one of their advertisements placed in a YouTube video:

http://gb.3pointer.tv/?refid=57-catchalltheaction-three-yt-resp&placement=youtube.com

This has cost me £36.00 which I am trying to recover. I understand that YouTube derives income from advertising, but if these practises are allowed to continue, I can assure you I won't be using it anymore.

YouTube allowing pro russian and pro chinese advertising propaganda / election interference propaganda

I am very disturbed seeing that YouTube is allowing this pro Russia / pro China propaganda newspaper "The Epoch Times" to purchase advertising space. Why is YouTube not preventing this and investigating who is buying ad space? Particularly in this time where an adversarial country(ies) is trying to invade our election processes. It's disgusting. I am very likely going to report this to the Federal Bureau of Investigations and the Federal Communications Commission. What will YouTube not do to make a dollar. Disgusting. Please reply to this complaint otherwise I will assume it is ending up in the garbage with your other legitimate complaints.

Epoch Media (specifically) has me dying for a feature that would allow YouTube users to block individual advertisers who are especially obnoxious, sketchy, and excessive. … What the hell are they [“Epoch”] selling, anyway—political power?!?

If you want to keep generating profits by selling ad space to rhetoricians with a blatant agenda to disseminate propaganda, at least give us the option to stop being forced to endure it. Frankly, I’d rather see ads for constipation medication. (it’s so gross!*)

About YouTube

Screenshot YouTube
YouTube is a video sharing platform that has revolutionized the way people consume and share video content. It was founded in 2005 by three former PayPal employees and was later acquired by Google in 2006. Since then, it has grown to become the second largest search engine in the world, with over 2 billion monthly active users.

The platform allows users to upload, share, and view videos on a wide range of topics, from music and entertainment to education and DIY tutorials. It has become a hub for creators, influencers, and brands to connect with their audiences and build communities around their content.

One of the key features of YouTube is its algorithm, which uses machine learning to recommend videos to users based on their viewing history and interests. This has made it easier for users to discover new content and for creators to reach new audiences.

YouTube has also become a major source of revenue for creators, with the platform offering various monetization options such as ads, sponsorships, and merchandise sales. This has led to the rise of a new generation of content creators who have turned their passion into a full-time career.

In recent years, YouTube has faced criticism for its handling of controversial content and its impact on mental health and well-being. However, the platform has taken steps to address these issues, such as implementing stricter community guidelines and providing resources for users to manage their screen time.

Overall, YouTube has had a profound impact on the way we consume and share video content, and it continues to be a major player in the digital landscape.
