Sony channels not coming
Hi I subscribed to the Yupp tv Hindi Punjabi package on April 2021 for the half yearly package which included all the Sony channels. One of the incentives for me to subscribe for this package itself was for watching channels and that too in Sony channels as the movies there are more recent than the movies shown in other channels which are mostly olden movies. However since last one month or so i saw that the Sony channels have been removed without any intimation to the customer at all without any basis. Kindly please help in getting the Sony channels back once back in the package without trying to extort additional money from the customers.

Fewer channels and false commitments
I bought yearly package worth 149 pounds. I got a call from sales team before purchasing that sony channels will be added to my package after a week. I bought the package. It's been more than 2 months now the channels are not added, in fact other channels which were working are also reduced like zee channels.
I also sent a written email to the support team but no response so far. Worse service provide, I regret my decision to with them.

Channels removed without notice and Yupptv retaining my credit card details without my consent
I am using Yupptv from last 6 years and subscribed to same package from day one, the product or package name was "Marathi Hindi Gold/Diamond". Earlier I was recommending yupptv to many of my friends and relatives, but from last couple of years I am observing they have degraded their service level and their morality too, you will see from my below experience how unprofessional and dishonest they are.
1. They stored my card details without my consent, I did make full payment for the service at the start of year then why they should keep the details? I enquired about it but there was no satisfactory answer from them
2. They take out the channels from your subscribed package without any notice and then they ask additional money for the same removed channels, very greedy and unprofessional way of business!
3. I paid full annual charges for specific pack called "Marathi and Hindi Gold", and today situation is- I do not have any of those channels in my package; however, Yupptv has exact same package/product available for the new customers which has all the Channels (except Sony) so this is cheating with existing customers. Last year I bought this package for the channels included in pack, if the channels are not there the subscriptions becomes useless for me, so Yupptv should either provide me the channels back or refund (just to let you know I have an email from Yupptv as a proof saying about compensation when they removed Zee channels first time, until today there was no action taken for Zee channels removal). I have no trust left in Yupptv
4. When a customer purchases a package, he/she become customer of Yupptv and if due to some reasons Yupptv is unable to provide same level of service Yupptv should make alternate provision of adding channels or refund, but i observed yuptv don't care at all about their customers who already paid annual subscription. In case of removal of Sony channels, if Yupptv has dropped Sony channels from my package it becomes moral responsibility of Yupptv to either refund or add channels back without additional charges, remember when I buy package and pay you full amount only after looking at the channels in package, I as Yupptv customer at least I expect it as part of basic customer satisfaction concept!
5. Yupptv do not care about their loyal customers, as I said above I am with them from last 6 years and I mentioned due to above issues of channels removal I will not continue the service next year, their answer was like "we don't care", even in my last customer representative call on 18th July, the lady hang-up on me, it was so rude.

Sony TV Channels removed and asked for extra money to add the channels in the subscription

I have renewed the package after many phone calls from Yupp TV. I am the customer since 2017. It looks like they are only interested in taking money from you and did not respond properly to your concern, I call the customer care regarding removing Sony tv channels and they are asking me an extra money to add Sony TV channels which was already a part of original package. And when I asked to talk to the manager then I got the response that manager will call in 24-48 hours and its nearly 2 weeks now, no response from Yupp TV . I had sent an email to customer care as well but it looks like they do not want to reply as they already got the money from me to renew the Hindi Channel Package. It does not look like a professional behaviour from a company which is quite old and operating in different countries.
Desired outcome: Need the Sony channels back in the package or get my money back paid for the renewal of annual subscription.

YuppTV — Sony TV channels removed without notice
I have been a customer of Yupptv for more than 3 years. I have been renewing the YuppTV subsciption annually and in July there was upgrade of their app and I found out that the Sony channels were missing.
When I called up the helpdesk they told me that Sony channel are now part of SonyLiv and I have to buy separate package to avail those channel. It is unfair as I have paid for the entire year and at that time there was no communication that Sony channels would be removed. Also, they said that I can't cancel the subscrition in mid-year and I won't get any refund.
This is the breach of contract by them as I am not getting the service I initially paid for at the start of annual subscription. I have raise the complaint with complaint number #2476253 so that I could get the resolution but I found out that the complaint was close after 3 days without providing any resolution.
This is so unethical way of doing the business with no clear communication and closing the complaint without any feedback.
Desired outcome: I demand the full services including Sony channe with Apology OR offer a full refund along with an apology.

I am in the same predicament, Sony was cancelled yet my full yearly subscription was taken only 2 months ago. This is fraud, you are selling something that you knew was not there.
Hindi package
Yupptv first took away zee channels, then BFU and now finally Sony. They have kept fooling us and talking us into taking new contracts, without honouring the existing time on the contract. They keep giving us reasons that it's outside their control what happened. As a customer, I just need the services back or a refund. While giving a refund as well, they are cheating on the pro-rata calculations. Yupptv has no right to push consumers on new contracts, just to fill their pockets and not thinking about consumers pockets by pushing them into unplanned expenditures. I no longer believe them. I am looking for the regulatory body, to cease their entertainment rights in UK.

Unavailable channels + unprofessional support!
We always need to upgrade the packages because some channels go out of package. The Company doesn't even inform the customers and don't even refund the money.
We called several times the support team - kept us for 2-3 hrs in waiting till no response.
After Chat Support they said we will cancel your current package and will refund 20€. This was a big joke as we paid from Feb.2021 till Feb.2022 130€ and we wanted to cancel it in July.2021 so how is this possible just to get 20€ refund - literally a joke.
After another try with Chat Team they said we will open a ticket and the core team will call us. We even got an E-Mail of created Ticket and that they will contact us within 24hrs. After 5 days they closed the ticket saying it was resolved.
Mis-selling/ Unethical behavior / No customer service
We have had a subscription with YuppTV for several years. We always had issues with such as channels becoming unavailable for a time, however the telephone rep talked us into staying with them.
YuppTV telephoned us in the last week of June to request we renew our year's contract as it was about to expire. They assured us all channels available, same as previously.
Entering July, the Sony channels (the main reason for subscription) are all removed without warning. We telephoned YuppTV who advised they had been removed from our standard package but we could get them back by upgrading and paying more. We asked why they did not tell us this when we took out the contract mere days previously, as they would surely have known major changes to the package were imminent. They had no answer but instead were rather patronizing to my wife as they "humbly requested" her to await a call back. After several call backs by various individuals and long periods on hold, my wife told them she would continue to call until we received written assurance that we would be refunded the full amount.
Whilst now have an email agreeing to full refund, we are no closer to our money. They have instead refunded what would seem to be one month's worth of fees (inconsequential as the previous years contract is still active. According to our transaction history, the new contract is not even active yet). I have had no reply from follow up emails.

Yupptv subscription
I would lodge a complaint against yupptv I paid for a service for certain channels with yupptv. So all of a sudden one of the channels, Sony entertainment has been scrapped from the package without informing the customers. When I asked yupptv they are asking customers to pay another subscription for Sony entertainment. Why should customers pay more when we have already paid for the service already. I think yupptv is a fraud company asking customers to pay for the channels that has already been paid for

Channels removed without information and no refund possible
I have been a long time Yupp TV subscriber. They seem to have no control on the channels they air. Previously, they removed all the Zee channels without any warning or information. They would not process a refund. Now they have repeated the same with Sony India channels without any communication nor an option to get a refund. The only thing that they keep insisting is to renew the subscription so the new channels can be included. Since they cannot guarantee nor assure that the newly included channels will be active throughout the subscription, I have told the customer representative on a call that I am not interested in this option. They have raised a ticket - that they told me would be resolved in 3 days, and / or a supervisor would call.. neither the ticket was resolved nor the supervisor called within the stipulated time. I called them again and insisted upon speaking to a supervisor. Eventually the supervisor did come and assured me that they will refund the balance by the end of the day (5PM IST) or someone from their third level supervisor team would call - its been over 24 hours now, but no sign of a refund nor have I received a call.

Change in Subscription Channels
I opted for Kannada package in Dec 2020 which had Sony channels in the package and paid 69£ for an annual subscription. As on today July 9th 2021, Sony Liv is been removed from my subscription and Yupp TV is asking to pay me more with additional channels. I asked them to cancel the subscription and pay me back the remaining amount and one of the customer service executive said it will the credited to my mode of payment in 5 days but it did not happen. I called again and they are now denying to pay the remaining amount and changing their terms on repayment. The customer care executive said its a contract and I am obliged to it, however, they have full liberty to change any channels in and out of subscriptions within the contract period.

I have YuppTV for the last 2 years. With more than 6 months till end of subscription the Sony channels were removed without any notification. I asked to cancel my subscription but yupp tv is not giving any refund. Only if i cancel and subscribe the premium package with Sony Liv. Complete extortion of customers money!

Hi there,
I recently got call from Yupptv for subscription renewal. Consultant informed me that some channels may not be available but promised me that if I lost the channels I like, I can call back for prorata refund.
Two weeks later, Sony Tv stopped coming but when I rang for refund, they keep telling me to wait for 48 hours and someone will call me to resolve the issue. Moreover they told me that they do not give refunds.
I asked them to listen to their recording and verify what their consultant promised me. Seems like that their consultant lied to me to get one year of subscription. Still 11 months to go.
Very disappointed and waiting for refund.

I purchased 1year subscription plan from yupptv. Specially I too k this subscription for some Hindi channels. All of sudden theyblocked one of my Hindi channel. I am trying to contact through email and phone. I don't get reply for email and when I call they didn't pick the call if they pick they said they can't hear me. Every time when I am calling either they r not responding or they can't here me. One time I agin called one executive picked when I told my problem, he said just a minute and he dropped my call after that he didn't pick. Again after many calls other executive picked, she said I will give ticket number and my manager will call you within 24 hours but he also not called. I don't know what to do. I already paid whole year package money. Almost mor than 6 mints left. I want to refund my rest if the month's subscription or add that channel without any charge. Thanks

Breach of contract - removal of channels with no compensation/resolution
I have been subscriber of Yupp tv for more than 5 years and currently have subscription paid for till March 2022.
On 1 July 2021 without any communication, consultation and notice Yupp tv removed some of the premium Sony channels from my agreed subscription plan. On following up with Yupp TV, they are refusing to add back the Sony channels and instead insisting to take up, as they call Sonyliv premium subscription and pay them more money to watch the same channels I already paid for. I am not interested in Sonyliv and can't be forced to buy what I don't need.
As they not offering to reinstate the channels I paid for and have clearly breached the contract I & Yupp TV agreed to when renewed subscription last year, I asked for proportionate refund of amount and wanted to cancel my subscription. I have been told we will come back to you in 2 hours. Since then i.e. from 2nd July 2021, I have many numerous calls to Yupp TV and they are not coming back with resolution. Every follow up, get answer that you will get call back, which never happen.
Yupp TV behaviour is very unethical with no interest in customers. I will be proceeding to take this up on consumer affairs if Yupp TV continues to hide and not ethically resolve this.

Removed sony channel after just 2.5 months from my 14 month subscription and asking me to pay for and upgrade with no guarantee
We took YuppTV annual package for Hindi language was taken for 14 month subscription mid April 2021. Only 2.5 months into the subscription without warning the on 1st July sonyTV channels were removed. We took annual subscription only for sony channels. I asked them categorically at the time of payment and was told we would get them. I also asked about their high handed aggressive approach and then not roviding the service and was told this was not the case and I should try it myself so I did and now n this situation
Emailed YuppTV no reply. Emailed again no reply. So called them and after waiting for along time support I wa s asked to pay up! for an upgrade.
This is very poor I have only had the service for 2.5 months out of 14 month subscription and really don't want to upgrade because what is the guarantee that they will provide the Sony channel for the rest of the time even if I upgraded. I have requested a refund and have had no communication from them.
Surely the complaints board should be looking at be unreasonable operating of the company. No other tv channel like sky, hot star or zee tv is so aggressive and poor. This is surely against all customer rights. How can a company change for a service they do not provide?
They want mor money, no guarantee that we will get the channel we paid for and no refund! This cannot be right especially operating in UK where we have Avery good customer protection.

I subscribed to MalayalamYupp TV package from Dubai on (03/07/2021) and and it was working without any issues for a full day. Nex day, the subscription was removed from my account. When checked with the support team, it was due to the payment was declined by the bank. My bank has confirmed that the amount is already authorised but YuppTv did not claim the amount yet. Now I can see that the amount is claimed by YuPPTv but still my subscription issue is not sorted.
On my account, the transaction(03/07/2021) status is showing success and I have received a receipt from YuppTV for the same. Support team is still saying that the amout is declined by the bank.

YuppTV — Sony channels removed from ongoing yearly package - Refund needed

I have taken a yearly Marathi Silver subscription in Dec 2021 and it is a yearly subscription till Dec 2021. I paid in full for all Marathi & Hindi TV channels including Sony Entertainment channels, Sony Max, etc.
Suddenly from 1st July, they stopped listing the Sony channels without any consultation or call that this is happening.
I called Yupp TV for this issue, and they said that the Sony channels are not available anymore in your subscription and that you need to upgrade your package to watch Sony channels now. This means that for the same channel, I am now asked to pay extra for which I already paid before.
They ask me to pay 166.09 pounds over & above of what I have already paid for Annual Subscription...That's a complete harassments.
This is illegal and unethical, when you say contract it has to be followed both ways. I would want Sony channels in my package or cancel my subscription with refund. I do not wish to pay more for the same channels which are already in my contract.
