Mixed Experiences with Awaken Health Chiropractic, LLC
After exploring various reviews about Awaken Health Chiropractic, LLC, it's evident that the experiences are quite mixed. Some customers have praised the clinic for its user-friendly scheduling and the quality of care received, while others have expressed concerns about issues like no-shows, cancellations, and insurance coverage discrepancies. It seems that the clinic has both satisfied and dissatisfied customers, highlighting the importance of thorough research and clear communication when considering their services.
No worries as being provided Service
I am not scared of much in this world, but when it comes to a Dentist and or Doctor the thought of setting up an appointment finding this to me is a Anxiety waiting to happen. Plus I have had many unpleasant services through not knowing much about the Doctor and or Dentist that I reluctantly make on my own.and to forget this appointment that has been set for me to attend... ZocDoc in this case provided me with a list of providers that fit or met my means and fears. They handled my problem with respect and in a responsible manner even calling me a few days prior too remind me of my visit.:. They deserve to be commended and as I am doing this now, I WILL SAY!...:... Thank You, ZocDoc...:... Thank you very much for helping me through my health care needs and worries.:. God Bless you for what you do and have done for me, I intend to see you again if the need arises...
Your New Friend and client.:. Sincerely;

I recently found myself surfing the net for local physicians
I recently found myself surfing the net for local physicians when I stumbled upon ZocDoc. I was first impressed by the ease of finding physicians by location, specialty and accepted insurance plans. I was further drawn by online appointment scheduling instead of the usual, "What date works for you? I'm sorry, we don't have any availability that day. Is there another day that works?" The final hook was the online medical questionnaire which syncs to all physicians in the network. My records were immediately sent to the physicians with whom I was scheduled. I received an email confirmation from ZocDoc for my appointments (I made two that day). I received an additional email from ZocDoc when one appointment was rescheduled, making sure there were no hiccups in the process, and the issue was resolved immediately. I am thrilled with my new physicians and have recommended ZocDoc to numerous people. If you want to save yourself time and headaches, give it a try!

Before I found ZocDoc, making an appointment with any
Before I found ZocDoc, making an appointment with any kind of doctor in New York was insanely frustrating; most were fully booked for months, and when I did find one, I waited two hours for my appointment and ended up being an hour late for work. With ZocDoc, I can see immediately who is available, have been able to get appointments the next day, and have never waited more than 15 minutes for my appointment. It even shows more doctors accepting my insurance than my insurance's own website! The reviews help me to sort through doctors who might not be as responsive or who seem to be overbooked, so I generally have a positive experience. I've talked to friends who stumbled upon ZocDoc as well who were equally impressed - they too had been hunting for weeks for a new doctor, and were able to get an appointment within 10 minutes of going on the site. I would honestly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a doctor of any kind, as it makes the entire process as easy as it should be.
Good start, keep going
So far I've been very pleased with ZD; your listings for doctors and dentists that are eligible for my insurance are more comprehensive than my actual insurance plan's website, which is really really sad. Not only do you list more available doctors, but your contact information for them is more current, and I like how every doctor profile includes ratings and reviews, so I don't have to travel over to Yelp.
One thing that disappoints me is the limitations on saving doctor profiles. ZD will store the information of doctors and dentists that I've visited, but now I'm looking for an eye doctor and I'd like to be able to save the potentials to my profile for further research, but I don't see an option to do that. ZD will only save doctors to my profile that I've already been to see. This frustrates me, because this is the sort of shopping around that takes weeks, and I can't remember names very well. Let's have a 'Future' subsection in the profile along with 'Current' providers, shall we?
ZocDoc is amazing!
I LOVE ZocDoc! It makes finding a doctor simple and easy. I can read reviews and a description of each doctor to make sure I make the best choice for me. I can filter doctors based on location and insurance preferences. And I can schedule an appointment without having to call anybody or wait on hold. It only takes a few minutes and and is super convenient. ZocDoc even offers sooner appointment times than the doctors themselves if you call them! There have been a few times I have called a doctor office to be told there was no openings available for several weeks to a month! Then I go onto ZocDoc and find an appointment for the same doctor at the same location for the exact same reason within a few days! I make the appointment and show up without any problems. Apparently doctors give their best appointment times to ZocDoc customers! I now no longer bother checking with a receptionist for appointment times... I immediately log into ZocDoc! ZocDoc also has helped me get get a new patient appointment from offices that told me they were not accepting new patients. Despite being told the doctor wasn't taking new patients, my ZocDoc appointment went through and I was able to go to the appointment without a problem. And now since i had my first appointment, I am considered an existing patient! ZocDoc truly has been a lifesaver for my entire family! It's truly a great site!
ZocDoc has been absolutely incredible for my practice
ZocDoc has been absolutely incredible for my practice. It allows my patients 24/7 access to my office and gives my patients peace of mind. They love how easy it is to book with me.
I don't understand the bad reviews from doctors on here, maybe they just misunderstand what it is. ZocDoc doesn't seem to be a marketing company, and they don't claim to be. ZocDoc is just a technology that makes it easier for patients to find a doctor who accepts their insurance and book appointments in a day and age where people want everything quick, fast, and in a hurry. It's the logical progression for our industry - to me it was a no brainer and I absolutely love it.
My staff loves it because it makes the intake process so easy, they get patient information right from ZocDoc alerts instead of those 10 minute phone calls. We don't lose the personal touch with our patients because it is still so easy to stay in touch!
We have also seen a bunch of new patients who found us through ZocDoc and even the ones who found us through our website or word of mouth used ZocDoc to book. A few of them said they chose me over another provider because it was so much easier to book! Beat that!
ZocDoc's reviews are great because it's not just the annoyed people who leave reviews, everyone does because ZocDoc makes it so easy for them to post reviews! People can find out about me from someone else besides an anonymous poster who I don't remember treating and get a better idea for who I am.
This is the way healthcare should be going, it's time to step out of the stone age!
A Positive Experience
On or about November 15,2015 I was turned away from service by a provider listed in the Healthfirst Online Provider Services Manual as an approved healthcare provider.
The aborted visit to Dr. Coscia's office was caused primarily by a lack of
Communication by his staff with me prior to my visiting his office in
Lynbrook. I had taken the time to pre-register online through your service
And provided them with all of my insurance information. It was only after
My arrival at their office that I was informed that the information had
Come up on their system as "No Coverage". My appointment was cancelled on
The spot and I was asked to contact my carrier to determine the nature of
The problem and to then rebook the appointment with them.
In all fairness I was treated courteously by the staff person, Chris,
However no attempt was made by them to verify directly with the health care
Provider. I called Healthfirst from their lobby and was informed that a new
Number had been assigned to me because I had attain ed the age of 65 and it
Caused a change in my status with them. It turns out that Dr. Coscia is not
A network provider under my current plan with Healthfirst (... even
Though I got his name from their website) and had he seen me it would have
Caused significant billing issues. In addition, had I actually been able to
Use his services I would have had to wait until December 3rd or 4th for the
Next available appointment.
I was able through your services to book an appointment for the following day with a
Dentist who actually is in my network even though it required me to travel
Significantly further. I bear no ill will toward Dr. Coscia's office but
Simply wish that they had communicated with me sooner rather than waiting
For me to show up at their office and refuse me service.
ZocDoc Found THE BEST DOCTOR I Have Ever Had!
When I first found ZocDoc on a websearch, I wasn't overly optimistic, but I wasn't cynical either. I just figured it was another referral service.
Much to my surprise, ZocDoc referred me to a doctor I wish I could have found 40 years ago! Seriously! I hit the jackpot -- finally! And I hope this doctor stays in practice for many years to come. I've had many doctors in my life, and this one is head and shoulders above the rest -- professional, incredibly intelligent (yet able to communicate complex explanations with easily understood analogies) He takes his time with each patient and makes thorough notes. By my second appointment, he'd already completed a LOT of paperwork and research on my behalf. I have truly been astonished at what a tremendous doctor this guy is -- and the minute the subject of doctors comes up, I find myself saying ---" Oh my god -- you HAVE to switch to my doctor! He is phenomenal!"
It sounds like I'm a paid commercial or something, but this is a genuine, sincere appraisal of a great doctor that I found courtesy of ZOCDOC! Whodathunk?
From the second I filled out the online info, everything fell into place. My appointment was confirmed --- And on the day before my appointment, I received a reminder call, a reminder text AND a reminder email! How cool is that? My appointment the next day was timely and I knew in the first 20 minutes that I now have a health professional who is a doctor for all the RIGHT reasons! And he truly cares about individual patients! I have been brought into his practice as a patient, and I have received the best care I could have imagined.
I'm grateful to ZocDoc for their referral to my doctor --- and am 100% satisfied with every aspect of his service. And all of my billing, and follow-up care has been effortless. My follow-up appointment delivered the same degree of professional service. If this is the caliber of doctors and professionals that ZocDoc recommends to the public, they will become a leader in this area.
I've NEVER been able to find this level of medical care ANYWHERE ELSE!
THANK-YOU ZodDoc! You've certainly changed the quality of my life!
ZocDoc is amazing in my opinion
ZocDoc is amazing in my opinion. It's brilliant and convenient and makes the whole process of finding a doctor, scheduling, insurance, rescheduling, etc, SO easy and fast and hassle-free. I was hesitant of course, like most would, to try something new like this that I had really never heard of until I saw it online randomly. I had just moved and gave it a shot in order to find a new doctor. It worked, it was simple, easy, everything went perfectly. I almost thought that I'd go to the appointment and they wouldn't have any idea who I was or what I was there for but it in fact even took care of all the new patient paperwork and such and I was in and taken care of in minutes at the doctors office. Not only that but I also was able to find the right Dr. for me by the insurance accepted (so convenient and easy) but mostly by getting to look at the doctors profiles and reviews and such. I love my Dr. and am satisfied and have since made appointments through zocdoc ever since for anything from dentistry to a chiropractor to my gyno to even an accupunturist. They have it all and they do it all. Easily! And it really is FREE too. The thing I love the most though is their AMAZING customer service. I had scheduled an appointment on zocdoc with a Dr. and first the Dr. confirmed it but then contacted and had to reschedule the appointment. It was not at all any fault of zocdocs but yet they contacted me immediately to apologize, to see if anything wrong or inconveniencing had occurred, they made sure I was set for a new appointment and that everything was taken care of, AND they gave a small gift card to apologize for the inconvenience-even though it was not even them or their fault! They respond to anything right away, whether it be a question, an appointment booking/canceling/etc, a problem, or anything. They personally email you and its obvious they are interested and care and not just some set up response or automated kind of service. They amaze me and I couldn't love their services and their customer service more. I will always use them and I hope others take the chance too because its just so convenient and easy and gets rid of any annoying phone calls to healthcare providers and doctors and scheduling and trying to phone in to busy Dr offices, etc. It gets rid of all the bad or nuisances and they take care of you. They help you keep track of your health and appointments and schedules and past Dr's and past appointments too. It is just ingenious and I'm very happy and relieved I found them! (Sorry to be so dramatic about it but they really are fantastic).
ZocDoc Complaints 34
Bad for the patients, bad for the doctors
Since the new pricing model, $35 per new patient booking (finder's fee) and some detail on this first as a provider you set up a monthly budget of say $300 and if a patient books that $35 is subtracted from your budget until your budget is down to $0 at which point you will no longer be found on Zocdoc until your budget is replenished the next month... so this model is doing a huge disservice to both provider and patient.
Patients may not see the most seasoned and well reviewed doctors on the site as their monthly allotted budget burns quicker than those with poorer reviewed ones leaving patients to only choose from, well, the rest. Also, as a patient if you made an error in booking, like let's say you selected the wrong plan and you're doctor doesn't accept it... the doctor will not be as inclined to clarify your error (due to booking fees and budget restraints mentioned above) prior to treatment leaving you susceptible to out of network charges, that could be financially devastating. After all, you the patient chose the insurance.
Also, doctors are now choosing not to advertise certain insurance plans as their finder's fee eats well into the total cost of the reimbursement. Most patient's only see a provider when needed, so doctor's will do away with lower paying insurer's from the site as taking on someone with say GHI or Emblemhealth just isn't worth it when your total reimbursement is $45 and you have to pay zocdoc back the $35 finder's fee. And, yes, they say you establish a patient bond and you will receive money over the lifetime of the patient's visits upon your practice, well patient's just come when they really, REALLY have to. Don't hold your breath for that doctor-patient bond to pay off. So dropping certain plans from their site now is only logical.
And providers, you're getting the rawest of deals. If the patient cancels more than 24 hours after the booking, you get charged, regardless of the reason. Whether a patient has a gripe with you / your staff or is just acting juvenile in nature and is unknowing of the fees or has a bit of OCD with regards to technology or is even waiting to see if their condition disappears by the weekend and proceeds with a booking and cancels, you're paying for it. Still worth it? Their sales team says yes, many more practitioners are already saying no.
Zocdoc, you blew it!
Could NOT be a worse medical assistance site in the world. Impossible
UPDATE #2:
Mary M,
Why do you refuse to respond to very direct questions.
What is this cloak of secrecy at Zocdoc?

Following is actually from the person in charge of (non) customer service, directly from their site.

Charging fees for cancellations due to their own error
I am a therapist with a very small practice. I charge low prices because I believe therapy should be affordable. Because of this, every dollar I earn matters. I signed up with Zocdoc in hopes that I could generate more business, and although my initial consultations are free, I could make up the $70 referral fee out of the $80 I charge for a second...

ZocDoc earns a trustworthiness rating of 91%
Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- While ZocDoc has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. - ZocDoc protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
Zocdoc should not charge provider fees for errors on their platform
Zocdoc recently charged us a $70 booking fee when a client, who has out-of-network benefits, booked with one of our clinicians. Zocdoc clearly asks the providers what insurance they take for this reason. Zocdoc's technology should NOT match prospective patients with clinicians who are not able to see them. If Zocdoc accidentally does book these sessions (which is unfair to the patient and clinician), Zocdoc should not charge a booking fee for their mistake. It is simply unlawful, unethical, and wrong to charge clinicians for missteps in their technology.
Desired outcome: Zocdoc should invest in their platform to ensure this does not happen and also not charge customers if/when this does happen.
They are genuinely scamming all of us and we should open a class-action lawsuit.

I searched for a Pediatrician and made an appointment. Found out later that this wasn't a Doctors office but an urgent care facility. I didn't search for an Urgent Care facility so was surprised that it was. When you search it came up as a Doctor's office with a private practice. When you get the email confirmation it's with the doctor not the urgent car facility, I will never use this place again. Instead of the $25 co-pay I was told by ZocDoc I had to pay $75 that I didn't have.
Desired outcome: Refund me the difference in price I was charged V.S. what you said I would pay $50
ZocDoc should not charge a fee for wrong booking and no shows.
ZocDoc has a policy where the doctor's office or the doctor will pay a fee to ZocDoc regardless of the patient outcome, when a patient books an appointment via ZocDoc.
Most practice and doctors have come to settle for this and hope with time, when the patients visit their office after the first visit, they will recoup the fee and make some gains. This is not always the case.
My experience as office managers with ZocDoc has been terrible.
Of recent, a patient in need of a kidney doctor - (Nephrologist) made an appointment with our practice. When I called, she said the office came up on her list when she searched for a nephrologist on ZocDoc. I checked and it was true, I pleaded with her to cancel but she said she was driving and when she got home she would cancel, sadly she never did. I emailed ZocDoc within hours and explained the situation. That this was similar to someone searching for a cardiologist and making an appointment with a dentist. I should not have been charged for this, as this was not a service I had listed as offering or provided. The nice lady on the hone said she would correct the error with my name coming up on the list, but couldn't cancel my fee. This was the 11th patient for me this month that either didn't show or cancelled after 24 hours of booking that ZocDoc charged me for - making a total of $440.
The bad part about this is they have cornered the search engines with their big spending and anytime someone searches for a doctor, ZocDoc appears on 8 of the top 10 results you get on the first page... This is killing medical practices. By the time we pay for office rent, staff, equipment, supplies, benefits etc., The doctor is taking home less money than the office manager. So sad.
Primary physician referral
I have scheduled two appointments during the last three months - one with Dr. Wilkerson whose office is a few short blocks from my home, making it convenient for me to walk there. I scheduled the appointment for mid-August of this year. I don't remember the exact date. They sent me notice the next day that the appointment was cancelled, giving no reason. I called their office and they told me he was going to be out of town. As I needed to have a pre-surgical form signed for cataract surgery, I asked if they suggested I reschedule. They rudely told me to find another doctor and hung up on me.
Then I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Daniel O'Malley who is located at 1975 Lin Lor Lane in Elgin. He had plenty of availability and now I know why. I saw him twice over a 6 week period, first for an annual physical and also so he could fill out the pre-surgical form for my cataract surgery. The second time I saw him which was September 20, he wanted to see me prior to my second cataract surgery and also to see me prior to doing medication refills for me for psychotropic drugs. Dr. O'Malley made bigoted remarks to me, passing them off as jokes. The first time he saw me, he told me that despite my Italian last name, I looked Czechoslovikian. He then asked me "What do you call it when a bar makes a Cecholovikian customer leave?" "A bounced Czech." Hahaha. I didn't think it was funny. Then he asked me why I thought I suffered from depression. Since I told him during the course of our appointment that I was part Ukrainian, he asked me "Do you think it is because of the war in the Ukraine?" What kind of stupid remark is that? And what about the joke about the "bounced Czech?"
The second time I saw him on September 22, I had shown him a photograph of myself when I was younger at his request. He said I looked like a "Ukrainian immigrant" in the photograph. You tell me those aren't bigoted remarks passed off as jokes. I had an appointment with him November 10 at 1:00 PM. I found another doctor on Zoodoc and so canceled the appointment with Dr. O'Malley telling Athena his nurse about the bigoted jokes as being the reasons I would o longer call Dr. O'Malley my primary physician.
I had already booked an appointment with Dr. Misbah for November 10 at 1:00 PM before canceling the one with Dr. O'Malley for the reasons stated above. I suggested to Athena, the nurse in Dr. O'Malley's office that she tell Dr. O'Malley exactly why I was canceling my appointment. She said nothing.
I received notice this morning that my appointment with Dr. Misbah, who is at the same address Dr. Wilkerson was at (a few blocks walk from my townhouse) was canceled. When I called to reschedule, I was informed she wouldn't be back until sometime in February of 2023, which didn't do me any good as far as prescription refills as I need them by December 15, 2022. Dr. Misbah's office wasn't all that polite about it either.
What sort of referral service are you running anyway? When I put in my zijp code to find a doctor near me, you gave me doctors' names as far away as Hanover Park, which is not even remotely close to me. Shame on you, Zoodoc. I'll never use you again.
Desired outcome: I will never use you again for anything. I'll find another physician referral service.
Mis information
I needed to see a doctor for pain I was experiencing in my arm and back.
I went on Zocdoc to find a provider that is in my network.
I then got a call from the doctors office who told me they are out of network. She was rude and unprofessional.
They lied on Zocdoc to lure new patients. They advised me that why are having issues with the insurance contract.
That is not the patients concern.
They canceled my appt without notice.
The doctor did call me who was also unprofessional and rude. Didn’t care about my needs.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund for my ‘Telehealth’ which lasted 2 mins. The doctor was cold and didn’t care about my needed
ZocDoc scam
ZocDoc is a total scam! My dental practice has been a client of Zocdoc for last 10 years. I had to officially withdraw from being listed due to their predatory and deceitful practices. Most patients who use ZocDoc think the service is free and don’t realize that ZocDoc charges the provider as much as $110 per “booking,” which is charged to provider regardless if patient shows up to appointment or cancels. To add insult to injury, ZocDoc recently formed a “Trust and Safety” group whose sole job appears to be to identify strategies to maximize ZocDoc’s revenue by pure harrasment- I received numerous “warnings” that my appt. cancellation rate was “above average” and, as a result I would incur a “search penalty.”When I asked more specifics on their alleged data which served as basis for their false conclusion, they refused to provide and said it was proprietary. Rather than focusing on how to enhance their platform, ZocDoc wanted me to ensure that patients who book on THEIR platform do not cancel their appointments and blocked my ability to treat urgent patients by closing my calendar. This “Trust & Safety” team works in obscurity without any last name, phone, or fax telephone numbers provided. I was left with no option but to cancel my relationship with ZocDoc. The business practices of ZocDoc should be thoroughly investigated.
Desired outcome: None- information is provided for general awareness so the other providers beware.
I am a physician/owner of a medical spa & wellness center. ZocDoc has significantly increased the number of new patients driven to my practice. Especially since I have had no success with Yelp, GoogleAdWords, and other platforms. However, my only complaint is that visitors to the platform do not understand how it works.
The platform should provide a greater explanation of how it works. For example:
1. Someone will book & "NoShow." But when I call them I'm told they wanted a Video encounter, not an in-office visit. Well, the ever-increasing desire for technology over human interaction resulted in ZocDoc charging me a fee. A fee that I cannot pass on to patients. So, the consumer doesn't clearly understand how to use the app.
2. Potential patients book, cancel, reschedule, re-book, all in a matter of hours even minutes. This wreaks total havoc with our schedule, staffing arrangements, and prevents others from booking appointments. Again, the increasing desire for technology removes the personal human nature and accountability in an industry built on the above.
3. Lastly, ZocDoc requests insurance information that few are willing to provide or don't know how to upload. Most practices verify insurance benefits before patient arrival. Why? Well, there are lots of reasons. The most important ones are: it lets patients know what's covered & what's not. AND, it allows staff & providers the ability to do what they are supposed to do which is to care of you! Not, spending time verifying coverage, benefits, calling, emailing, texting, and rescheduing. So please follow the instructions so we can get back to the business of providing medical care.
I write all the above as I sit here waiting for a new ZocDoc patient who is 30 mins. late. Apparently, another "NoShow" that I personally called to confirm.
As a provider Not pleased with the way no shows, provider search, predatory patient requesting Controlled substances such as ADD meds, pain meds and sleep meds are handled. Every time patient is a no show provider is still charged a fee. And if you do not provide desired medicine by the patient, they drop very negative review. Providers are in a dreadlocks with zocdoc and drug-seeking patients Resulting in misuse of medical authority and getting their names tainted. zocdoc has all the customizable features but somehow they do not allow " no-show" no charge policy or restricting search area or type of visits. As per them there is no way to display that provider do not accept ADD, pain medicine, sleep medicine, or any contraband's or any inappropriate insurance not accepted by provider. Most of the clients have above issues. zocdoc should be held accountable for that for feeling drug epidemic by putting predatory policies.
Issue with doctor's appointment
Incident occurred on 5/20/2022
I made an appointment via ZocDoc with a urologist (Dr Sherman Chan). I provided all the required information, and the appointment was made. On the day of the appointment, I received a text message confirming the appointment. The Doctor was in Bay Ridge, so I had to take Lyft at a cost of 60.00. When I arrived at the location as instructed by the app, the office was dark and there was an "out to lunch" sign on door. I waited 40 minutes, and nobody came. I called the number for the office and was told to call a different number which just went into voicemail.
I ended up walking a bit and then taking a Lyft back home for another 38.00. So, I spent over 100.00 and never saw the doctor.
Either the app is not properly setting up the appointments or the Doctors are not providing the app all the correct information. Regardless, I should not be 100.00 poorer because the app was incorrect.
Desired outcome: I want ZodDoc or the Vantage Medical Group (which includes Dr Chan) to reimburse me for the taxis. I can provide the receipts from Lyft.
Psychiatry
My son sought Psychiatric treatment from
Neal Palmreuter in Washington State.
He paid $500.0 for the in-take as he is without insurance. Diagnosis papers were transferred from a prior office to Dr. Palmreuter.
A following appt for medication was cancelled by the doctor.
3 weeks have passed and there is no response from his office.
Online shows that he is booked for the next 6 months.
So my son, a psychiatric patient, that comes with all its challenges, has to go through the cycle again.
Doctors are playing with the life of a patient and not being held accountable.
Zocdoc is a perfect site for the doctors to scam the patients and get away with money at the expense of the mentally ill patients.
Desired outcome: 500.00

Dr's office claiming that patients should not make an appt. through ZocDoc
I found a Doctor/NP through ZocDoc and made an appointment with a local office. A couple days before the appointment, I received a call from the Dr's Office (Morrow Family Medicine in GA) stating that since I was experiencing symptoms of an upper respiratory illness, that they could not see me in the morning and I would have to make an afternoon appointment, which is difficult for me due to my work schedule. I had also been seen at an Urgent Care and tested for Covid & Strep Throat (negative results) and was on antibiotics for a Sinus Infection (my appt was scheduled for 11/24 and I informed the genius office person that by the time of my appointment, I would no longer be sick. She still insisted that she had to cancel this appointment). I went back to ZocDoc to find another doctor's office and the provider at Morrow Family Medicine had an opening for today (11/16) at 1:45pm (occurred over a week ago) so I scheduled this appointment and during the week got numerous reminders of today's appointment. Around 11am this morning, I received a call from the Doctor's office stating that they were only doing Telehealth appointments and since I was a new patient, I could not do a telehealth appointment and would have to reschedule. Besides trying to establish a PCP, I am also experiencing a health issue and needed to be seen so I was very upset that this appointment was cancelled again and now I need to try to find another PCP office and still try to get my health issue resolved. This is very disappointing as for the most part, it is not easy to establish medical care in a new state (moved to GA about 6 months ago).
Just feel your commercials are discriminatory toward woman-at least the most recent ones. One is a woman dancing around trying to find a doctor because "its hurts when I pee"..then the other woman is out running but then has to stop to schedule an appointment with a psychologist, someone she would "hang out with if it wasn't weird". First that could be against the code of ethics for a counselor/psychologist, whatever to "hang out" with a patient and to suggest that is inappropriate. So essentially women need mental and gynecological help but men only have a bumped toe? Come on now, get with the times.
Medical question
Your Commercials show the Podiatrist checking a man's foot. Why does the patient still have his sock on? Doesn't make sense. Makes Zoc Doc look STUPID. Fix it. At least the Dr. does have sterile gloves on.
Take the socks off. Show him getting x-rays, fit him with a boot. Give him a shot. Anything to make this 350 words or more. Maybe show him paying the bill.
zocdoc charges
We signed up with Zocdoc and were told we would be charged forty dollars for each patient that booked. if the patient did not cancel within 24 hours, we would still be charged.
After a little more than a month, we find ourselves owing them almost $3000.00 and there were not that many patients.
I have a scheduled conference with their billing person...
We wanted to expand our practice and needed more patients...but this is crazy
We just found out that my partner is charged 85 dollars per booking as he is a cardiologist.
Nobody told me this. i was just told 40 per booking.
Zocdoc is a complete fraud and has to be investigated by the Medical boards or Governmental agencies. I implemented a feature if the patient did not respond within a specific time and not put a Card on File we will cancel the appt. This did not sit well with their Trust and Safety team and they suspended my account.
Oh well now, I dont have to waste time or pay for No Shows that they cause. Complete Fraud.
provider membership
I signed up for Zocdoc as an acupuncturist, and I was told that I was the only specialist within 2 miles and to expect around 1 booking per week at worst, or more.
Everything went downhill from here.
Zocdoc locks you in to an annual contract, paying $300+ up front. Seems worthwhile, if signup would indeed generate new clients from their site.
They also charge $30 per patient booking. Also, seems reasonable if this generates a new patient.
Here's what has actually happened over the last 9 months on their platform:
Lots of "leads", most of which are patients who do not intend to show up to the appointment. I lost $30 on each of these, approximately $120 per month I have spent on leads.
Oh - and good luck calling in to dispute charges. The customer service is ARROGANT, and couldn't care less about helping you once they've got your checking account on auto-bill. Providers are SCUM in the eyes of zocdoc.
After months of keeping it friendly, I recently broke down and terminated my account early - losing out of 3 more months of paid service.
I was losing money on their platform, despite having almost 30 5-star patient reviews and following all of the ZocDoc rules.
STAY AWAY from these awful people.
They are truly clueless, arrogant and a shameful company which does not care about helping providers.
Desired outcome: full refund of fees charged
False medical listings on Zocdoc
I contacted zocdoc numerous times after visiting an ophthalmologist's office for an emergency appointment. Both the office and zocdoc misrepresent this "medical" office as Opthalmology. The "doctor" I saw did not attend medical school as I discovered after my visit. There are, in fact, no ophthalmologists at all available at this practice - ever - and the practitioners do not identify themselves properly. Truly dangerous. Zocdoc did not publish my review. They explained I did not actually seen the doctor listed which in this case is not possible since both ZocDoc and the practice falsely claim you are visiting an ophthalmologist. Zocdoc never even contacted me to say they won't publish it. Their customer rep privately acknowledged it's a problem yet they still encourage the fraud and list this non-existent MD - for four separate locations. They offer no remedies nor do they provide any assistance in contacting Zocdoc corporate.
Desired outcome: Remove false medical listings for Izak Herschitz
Covid Vaccine
Booked a Covid Vaccine through ZocDoc and the site says since I don't have insurance I'm paying for the visit myself. Covid Vaccines are FREE. The site doesn't say anywhere Covid vaccines are free. The site doesn't provide the cost of the vaccine either.
Desired outcome: Zoc Doc's site needs to be changed to state in BOLD that covid vaccines are FREE.
Out of Network Patients
I am still getting billed 85.00 per patient scheduled even when a patient puts the WRONG INSURANCE INFORMATION. Why is that our responsibility? The patient listed her insurance wrong and NOW I HAVE TO PAY?! This system is NOT USER FRIENDLY FOR THE DOCTORS! I had also suggested that you install a way that patients cannot complete scheduling appointments without insurance information for clinics to verify. Rep for ZocDoc said it couldn't be done, why? I get the feeling that all ZocDoc wants is to collect monies without truly earning it. No one can help me on the phone. No one can give me a phone number to call and speak with someone direct. No one is available UNLESS ITS TO TAKE MONIES FROM NEW CLIENTS! I can provide proof of the insurances being OUT OF NETWORK to support my claim. THE PERSON WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE HELP ME SIGN UP IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE! REALLY NEED SOMEONE TO LOOK INTO THIS COMPANY!
Desired outcome: RESOLUTION OF MY BILL
inaccurate doctor information
I used ZocDoc to seach for a back doctor using my insurance which is Cigna Open Access Plus.
It stated that Dr. Paul M. Brisson, MD was in my network so I booked an appointment with him 1 week in advance, on Monday, October 29th, 2018.'
I arrive today at the office and tell the Office Person my name. She confirmed with her computer that I have an appointment.
She then tells me that Dr. Brinsson was not in Cigna Open Access Plus Network and my fee would be $540.00 to for the office visit.
She also adds that he is never in the office on Mondays.
I asked:
So why would accept the appointment Zocdoc if he is not in the office?
Why does Zocdoc state you Dr. Brinsson is in Cigna Open Access Plus Network if you are not?
Dr. Brinson requires you to upload your insurance card on ZocDoc to make an appointment.
Why was I not called to be told he does not accept my insurance after I uploaded my insurance card into Dr. Brinsson's ZOCDOC accounts.
Why would your office not call me to let me know he is not in the office on Monday and not to make the trip?!?!?!?!
Why would you not call me to let me know he does not take my insurance and he is not in the office?
I was in the system, no one knew to call me and tell me not to come, or at the very least, reschedule?
What terrible service by ZocDoc and the Doctor's Incompetent staff.
I cannot say if the Doctor is good or bad, but his staff is bad.
