My request to people of UAE, specially expats, please do your homework well before visiting hospital

I am currently visiting Zulekha hospital in dubai, only God can save us, 1st time i met Dr pramila, supposed to specialist in Gynae, but i think her speciality is collecting money in various ways and scaring the patient all the time, i think old age doctors should take a permanent break and give younger one's a chance.

Then i moved to Dr Rani Krishna, i think again god has to save me, she has no interest except in the system in front of her & how to give patient some or the other test so that she could make some money.

Is zulekha hospital listening, Dr Daud, chairperson, please wake up and visit these bunch of quacks in Zulekha and please replace them, Dr Rani has no time, she doesn't even read the patient report and will assume everything and want's the patient to leave immediately, she doesnt know we are paying a fortune to get treated .
All doc want normal to be sent to 'C ' section so they get better commsions, i guess ?

Its important that Govt of UAE thinks about some measures to set a standard and price and services rendered to a petient .

Zulekha hospital is a sad & horrific experience, rather deliver with a midwife kept at home and take private consulation, this comment is to open eyes, but if something goes wrong in my case, the world will see it in the open.

i disagree about Dr. Pramila. My wife had 2 kids with her and she has been very supportive. You might take her to be very arrogant on first meeting, but this is mainly due to her age and vast experience in this field. And i don't agree that she is tricking anyone to take unnecessary tests. For my first daughter delivery, even my wife and i were asking to go for the insulin but she insisted on normal delivery and there have been no complications with my wife for our 2 kids. Rather we are visiting her for our 3rd child as well.

The hospitals standards overall regardless of anyone arrogance is complete and utterly pathetic. I hate this hospital with my heart.
My wife accidently burnt herself severly from her face to her chest to her full right arm and the first place that came to my mind was the zulekhas emergency room as the closest. Being there and giving my wife basic help the main on duty doctors on a friday afternoon says i need to take her to rashid hospital in dubai because they can give her better help. I was like amazed at the response. As soon as the doctor left the nurse says please take her to canadian hospital. They are better equipped. I COULDNT BELEIVE WHAT WAS HAPPENING. At that moment i didnt see the shere patience to argue for a treatment and left even when i have insurance which will cover everything.
Later when i tried to contact the person in charge for getting that ### fired or whoever is responsible for the pathetic response. I get to talk to customer service and inshallah wont happen and were sorry.
She had 2nd degree burns and she was in excrutiating pain. I well never ever say zulekha is good. Maybe some doctors might be good but after such an incident i hate this hospital. Ive even considered suing them but as UAE laws dont really help with such activity or even the lawyers with their heavy charges.
I hope they close down this hospital for good.
God forbid someone has to go through such idiots .

I agree. Zulekha hospital service is not good. We had a problem with Dr. Jasbir. We went on saturday evening to see Dr. Jasbir. After the check up my wife suddenly fainted and fell down on the floor. Dr. Jasbir without investigating suddenly draws conclusion that my wife is acting. How inconsiderate.. It was the first time I saw my wife in that kinda of situation. I almost lost my senses, i was sooo scared. Then they send a neurosurgeon to see if I am angry or not. His exact words were "if you are angry then i will have to call the administrator". He was playing all nice and friendly later on to make sure it doesn't reach to the top management. Why did my wife faint? During the check-up the doctor was in a hurry and she didn't lay down my wife properly. Therefore her blood circulation was effected. We didn't even get an apology.

Worst customer service ever. I don't mean to be racist but where ever you find indians and Filipinos, it means your going to have worst experience of your life. Doctors are busy having a chat instead of treating patients and there is no queuing system for emergency.

I have visited zulekha hospital sharjah on 17 Mar as my 6 month old was throwing up anything he fed. Since he vomited 4 to 5 times over the night, me and my wife decided to take him to hospital at 6 am. We went in emergency but was told that specialist was available so we waited for the doc to arrive. Upon diagnosis the doc said it's mild bronchitis and throat infection and that's the reason for throwing up. He gave us an option for admiting the baby to hospital as he was too small and covered by insurance. He was given antibiotics and IV to avoid dehydration. He kept throwing up the next day as well and this time it had turned from normal to brown and then to green. We were told it's fine as the baby is empty stomach and acidic. Shift docs just came in once every 5 to 6 hrs and kept telling us the same thing. On the 3rd day the doc decided to do ultrasound and x-ray and found everything normal. We then noticed a small lump on the groin area and informed the doc, so he asked for another round of u/s and x-ray. Then the specialist came in and diagnosed it to be hernia case and asked us to see a doctor in zulekha dubai as sharjah couldn't do a surgery. It was declared an emergency as the little one kept throwing up every 30 mins. At 2pm we were told that we will b shifted to dubai by 3pm so we waited for the process. At 4pm upon asking we were told that report is not ready and we will have to wait anothr 15 to 20 mins. I kept asking in 30 mins interval and was told the same thing. At 7 pm I couldn't bear anymore and started shouting at everyone who was responsible for shifting us to dubai and finally saw things moving. We reached at zulekha dubai at 8 pm and the doc there diagnosed the problem just by looking at the baby carefully and said the baby will have to go an urgent surgery for hernia and exploration of impalpable testis. The doc moved things real fast unlike zulekha sharjah and got the surgery to start by 9 pm. At 12 the baby was shifted to icu and was finally relieved from all that pain and restlessness. Next day the vomiting had stopped and the little one was fine and happy again. The need for the report was more important to zulekha sharjah than to transfer the patient in life threatning condition to dubai. Can't everything be online in this century that too being the same hospital. The difference in service between the 2 hospital was well noted. Dubai is far better than sharjah. Please avoid zulekha sharjah as they don't know how to treat emergency, can't diagnose the real problem, docs keep fitting each other and could be heard in rooms, nurses don't do their job well and can't communicate well. Bad English speaking ability. Administrator take their own sweet time regardless of emergency situation. Duty docs don't know what to do. A hopeless hospital in sharjah. Please avoid.

Zulekha Hospital SHJ has the same scenario. We shifted from clinic to hospital in 6 month and we opted Dr. Humera. Right in the first visit in october i asked her if she is planning for vacations so that we may go to another doctor who can look after throughout pregnancy and delivery she said i dont have plans. 30 march my duaghter is born and exactly on 26 march our doctor left for vacations this is rediculous and non professional. We arranged for another doctor at same hospital, she never talked to us on our visit unless we ask something from her. atlast they converted us for emergency CS, my sister in law at different hospital with similar medical condition had normal delivery however in Zulekha they were not even allowing me to speak to my wife before opting for CS. totally pathetic !

I have faced horrible situation in Zulekha sharjah. My wife was admitted for delivery and got delivered baby boy. Next day my wife got discharged and doctors took some blood test for my baby and they find some infection. we had told to give anti biotic for baby 5 to 7 days and the cost approval sent to insurance and the same got approved in my wife's insurance. so i want apply insurance for my baby then i asked hospita ppl l to give the my baby birth notification. The hospital admin asked me to give the Blank cheque to get the birth notification . I asked the reason and admin told bcoz my baby doesnt have the insurance. As per DHA the mother's insurance will cover the baby upto 1 month and insurance approved the same. But hospital wants blank cheque for what is the reason still i couldn't understand. Customer service is very worst and frustrated. Especially Hospital CRE is behaving like arrogant and i will never visit again Zulekha hospital at any cost.

I had severe stomach pain due to kidney stone while going to office and my friend routed to nearest hospital which turned out to be Zulekha Hospital. Rushed to the emergency ward. After getting the pain killer injection, i was reveled from pain and fell asleep in a while. As i woke up and find some emergency patient on the wheel chair was rushed and nurses asking me to come out, and they start to remove me out of there.I was clueless. I sat outside waiting for the doctor. I asked for my reports so i could continue with treatment in urology there. However nurses are hesitant in giving my blood and urine reports and insisting in getting appointment with urologist. I thought i would check the available urologist and get an appointment but unfortunately no one was available till 12. I came back, met GP who treated me and he said "all reports fine, you see the urologist and get it operated asap. You are free to go". Back again to collect my report to the nurses and there you go again, the reports are not ready, all doctors are in meeting and all that... and again, did you get the appointment? if so we will give all the reports later when you come back for appointment. It was so frustrating with all the pain started coming back again, This time i had to put my point straight and clear that i am not interested in continuing treatment with Zulekha Hospital, i would go somewhere else. and i need to leave now. The nurse made a call and i get all reports in a jiff. The pain started again, and took some of my friends and families advise and headed to Aster from there. The behavior of nurses towards patient is so arrogant, never encountered such way of dealing in uae. Awful experience, I vow to never go Zulekha again.

It was pointed out that urine report was not normal and it had blood traces, Dr. Nazeer/ Urologist in aster was very generous and gave medication and treatment plan.

Post Dated: 30 March 2017
Honestly speaking, we are disappointed with Dr.Namita Pawar (Gynaecology Sharjah Branch), from the beginning she doesn't response properly. whenever we went for a checkup she is on hurry simply she hand over the prescription. she does not talk peacefully with my wife no guidance at all. many times we complain her baby weight is not growing up she always responding weight is doest matter last week she ask to do ultra scan US-FETAL DOPPLER on 24th March 2017, after test we tried to contact with doctor she did not respond my wife was talking with her on phone for asking report result on that she denied explaining about report.

Now, my wife condition is very bad she have to go for a cesarean. because the baby weight is too low after cesarean they have to keep baby in ventilators.
we approach ZULEKHA hospital to get good treatment. Now, we realize they are only making money.

One of the worst hospital I have ever seen, my wife is 15 month pregnant, mid night 1.40 am she is suffering from fever and ommit, I took her to zulekha hospital dubai which is near to my home. Its emergency but still they told me to fill the form( I think only one hospital in UAE is charging for opening a file)I don their requirements. Am carrying insurance which is having 100% maternity cover but still they told me to go to insurance section for approval. I waited their half an hour, when I asked them to make it hurry, they told me if u want in hurry u take the approval. I don't know what kind of service they providing. My wife feeling dizzy just for the curtesy they would consider on priority, but end up with mid night searched other hospital, it s my humble request u all don't prefer zulekha hospital if u really care urself or ur dependent.

Dear all,

I am 34 weeks pregnant and till now I am very satisfied with service of Dr. Sunita Ghike from Zulekha in Dubai.
I think it depends to which doctor you are going, because my friend went to Zulekha to check fertility but I don't know the name of the doctor and she had opposite experience from me.
Before this pregnancy my husband and I had 3 missed AB...I went to so many doctors in my country and here and nobody didn't have an answer why this was happening. One of the doctors even said that we can spend years and tons of money doing tests and not finding out why is it happening.
So we decided we will give one more try to have a baby...and last year in October pregnancy test was positive and I was 5 weeks pregnant.
Same day I called Zulekha hospital Dubai (because its near our place) and asked them for best gyno and they booked us with Dr. Sunita Ghike.
When I told her all the details of our previous pregnancies she knew right away what was the issue and gave me therapy which obviously worked and thanks to her we are not 34 week pregnant and till now everything is ok with our baby. I also recommended Dr. Sunita to my friend that has polycystic ovary and she is very satisfied with her as well cause her cysts are all most gone..Dr. Sunita made needed checkups and gave her some natural medicine which worked perfectly..but before Sunita she went to some other clinic, they didn't do any checkups and they gave her hormones which didn't do anything.

I agree with this Zulekha hospital is a money making entity, they just wait for the patient to come and admit them in the hospital and making uneccesary test.last week I have experienced my son was suffering from diahorea when I took him to the pediatrician she didn't give any med, she told us to admit the child.when we said he is able to eat give him some medicines, doctor said there is no med for motions.next day his condition became more worst unwilling we had to admit him in the hospital and they did all useless test and said hez suffering from typhoid...have him antibiotics for 9 days due to which he was continuously doing motions.I took him American hospital with reports given by Zulekha hospital there Dr confirmed as per the reports it is clearly showing his typhoid test negative and wrong medicines were given. It really disappointed me for the sake of 💰 they are playing with our healthy.

I would suggest all of the doctors in this hospital to be more friendly and not bossy as we are paying to meet them for like what 5 mins max. But the way all of the staffs act is as if they are doing a big favor on the patients.
I totally agree that this hospital is only concerned about money and not actually the health of patients. Very disappointing experience would never ever go back to zulekha hospital no matter what.
I was surprised when Dr. Rashmi Patel said these words' I am not here to listen to you, you are here to listen to me', like seriously what a rude way to treat her patients.

It’s the worest hospital I have ever go to and I will never come back there. My son got hardly beat by bully at school and when I ask for document they called police and police was alighting in Arabic that I am stupid. Problem that same boy kept beating my child from one year and school did nothing and now even lied that my son said bad words to this boy and he just defended himself. I will never go to this hospital again. Not enough that I pay so I am not treated seriously. So stupid stuff there!will not waste my money there ever again!

I am on my 36th week pregnancy and until now I have not decided where to gave birth. I had my prenatal check ups and test at Prime Medical Qasimia. Since, no Prime Hospital in Sharjah my OB referred me to one of Doctor in Zulekha Dr. Betty John. I have not experienced any mistreated yet at Zulekha except that they are charging expensive on their tests. Like the Triple marker test cost AED. 811.00 which I decided to take at Prime for only AED. 300.00. Now since my delivery is near I inquired Zulekha how much their cost for Normal Delivery & CS outside the delivery package since I have my Insurance. It cost AED. 10-12, 000 for Normal and AED. 18-22, 000 for CS depending on how much the limit of your Insurance and you to pay for excess amounts. Which I found costly, so I decided to register at Thumbay Hospital known as GMC Ajman before. It's not that organized in the sense that no proper waiting area for the patients but I am sure they cost lesser than the other Hospital. Anyone can have bad experience in any Hospitals and I am just hoping that all is well for my coming delivery.
