Great app but pls read
So Shout our to Abra for their wallet it truly is cutting edge in many ways. I found its installation and usage to be quite simple for a crypto wallet. They offer many coins and this was a huge draw for me.
You might ask why 3 stars then. Here’s why:
1: a simple test of their customer service and review. I’d love to hear back from abra on this thread and I will upgrade 1 star when support responds as I cannot give this a 4th star without testing support.
2: Now we come to the only real technical issue I have with the wallet. Though it allows you to swap coins in a variety and keep any coins you have swapped in abra It seems that you can only send and receive BTC LTC and BCHABC. This is a problem for me. Cause this makes it feel like a basic wallet as it really only allows transactions for these 3 coins. I often send in and out of exchanges. I don’t like to keep funds there for obvious reasons. But I was hoping to keep large sums of alt coins on this wallet that was part of a trading portfolio. As I cannot withdraw my swapped coins to an exchange I cannot trade efficiently. If abra upgrades its system to allow for such withdrawals at least I could use the wallet. Deposits in btc and swaps then off to the exchange. Simple request. this will get you the 5th star.
All this being said if you merely hold bitcoin abra is an excellent option and I find their wallet quite simple and secure.
APPLE - remove these criminals from the App Store!
I have over $5k in my wallet that I can’t withdraw to a linked banked account. It gets to the last screen and then just comes up with an error message saying it can’t process right now. Took weeks and 3 messages to get a response from Abra, and they made NO attempt to solve the issue, but simply said “we will be restricting your wallet and you will not be able to transact via bank”. The message went on to explain that I can still DEPOSIT money (um, no), but that to withdraw I need another crypto wallet and gave no further explanation whatsoever. It actually went as far as to say that they would not provide any details as to why this action was taken and that they have the right to do so given whatever fine print they have in their user agreement.
People - do yourself a favor and don’t let these criminals steal from you. I can’t believe there hasn’t been a class action lawsuit brought against them. They will try every dirty trick imaginable to keep you from taking your own money out. I will try, but have zero faith that the second crypto wallet will change my situation after having read other reviews. Absolutely disgusted with this rotten company - everyone working for this organized crime family should be utterly ashamed of themselves.
Apple - why do you allow this app in your store? They are obviously buying positive reviews or those people haven’t yet tried to reclaim their funds. Abra is a den of thieves, plain and simple.
Scam App
This app markets itself as a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange when that is anything but true. This app was initially designed as a tool to transfer money, in this case certain crypto, quickly and easily from one place to another for little cost. The ABRA team has; however, marketed themselves as a centralized exchange and defi wallet. To be brief, they are thieves. The law simply has not caught up to them. They advertise promotional events during which they award you with a crypto token called CPRX. This token is used as their rewards token, native exchange token and as their community tiering token. You are encouraged to buy or swap for CPRX at every turn and you are promised great rewards to be paid out in CPRX. What they fail to disclose is that once you have swapped for CPRX, purchased CPRX or been rewarded CPRX, you can do nothing with it. You cannot swap back to another token, you cannot cash it out and you can only transfer it to another wallet at great cost (which is very interesting for an exchange that markets itself as having no fees). Once you have moved it out or your ABRA wallet, there are no other exchanges with liquidity for CPRX than Uniswap. Remember this is an ERC-20 token so the move and the swap come with fees. Clients are constantly requesting that they release CPRX for trading and they have made excuses for months that don’t make sense. Anyhow, this is more time than I had intended on spending on this so, I’ll end with the classic warning: buyer beware.
Abra is magical bye bye Coinbase
Coinbase charges ridiculous fees and inflates the price of all there coins. CB graphs/charts-so what the charts have little info and the info is incorrect or inflated.
ABRA doesn’t charge fees. ABRA PRICES ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE MARKET and exchanges I use.
Coinbase has 4 cryptos. ABRA has 25 and more being added.
Takes 5-10 days for free bank ACH deposit on Coinbase 25-50$ for a bank wire
ABRA took 24 hours and it’s free. It’s free and fast to withdraw back to your bank.
ABRA is easier to setup and use. 5 minutes and done. It doesn’t act glitchy or wonky.
ABRA uses LTC AS A MAIN CURRENCY TO SEND TO PEOPLE OR EXCHANGES or walker FAST AND SUPER CHEAP. Coinbase charges you for everything, GDAX ROLLS OUTBOUND TRANSFER FEES IN WITH THE COST OF THE CURRENCY.
ABRA CHARGED ME NO FEES TO EXCHANGE OR BUY CURRENCY. Now that’s magical.
ABRA offers fiat currencies from multiple countries. You can trade exchange USD fiat with several countries’ fiat. Not on CB
When you want to sell you crypto, you can lock in your earnings into USD OR transfer the earnings into BTC OR LTC to send to other exchanges or wallets.
ABRA has made it easy simple safe and cheap for anyone interested in buying cryptos and has paved the way for real world adoption.
I have zero complaints. I’m glad they partnered with LTC, a project I am personally invested in. I use LTC for moving all my investments around because it’s faster and cheaper than BTC. So I applaud ABRA for taking full advantage of a faster cheaper crypto.
Great job!
Sincerely,
Cryptochist
Beware
Number one, Don’t use this to buy ripple or any other altcoins. You are actually purchasing bitcoin... You’re not buying into the coin. You are basically buying an IOU at the altcoin’s current market rate backed by bitcoin. I like to own the coin outright. If you purchase an IOU, the coins you COULD’VE purchased outright are not taken out of circulation. Therefore, the millions of altcoins users “buy” with Abra will not be connected to the ledger and will not help the future appreciation or liquidity of the coin. It will only serve to boost the demand of bitcoin. (Obviously, the site founders are bullish in bitcoin and are taking advantage of other altcoins to boost its demand). Pretty slick actually.
Also, my account was “restricted” for no apparent reason. No unauthorized transactions or logins were made, I have a nearly perfect credit score, and no criminal history. Not only could I not get a reason for which I was restricted (apparently it’s against company policy to state WHY you are being blacklisted), but the company told me that I would have to request the money that was already debited from my bank account. They wouldn’t even offer a refund. They eventually allowed my money to be converted to bitcoin which I converted externally (plus mining fees).
Luckily I reached out to support. The app showed no signs of being restricted. It just debited my bank funds and showed “pending deposit” for 2 weeks.
Also, hopefully support doesn’t respond to this review as they have already had the chance to make it right.
Use a better service like Uphold.
Uninstalled & Reinstalled to regain access to my account
New Review:
Update: automatic Wallet Migration complete, I’m now able to convert. Raising rating from 3-5 star
Original:
I was contacted by developer with info that would suggest the app should work on my phone. I never thought to uninstall and reinstall. So if the dev reads this, if people have the right ios and the app is still crashing, this might be the fix. Giving it 4 stars while i try the new app out. Its different from the last time I had access mb a year ago. I’ll add the fifth star if I’m satisfied.
Revised: not able to withdraw to my coinbase wallets, and i get a msg about network fees if i try to convert so I cant do that either... i suspect its cuz i need to migrate? But i clicked dont migrate and theres no manual way I can see in the app, so i guess i have to act on the prompt? Just not impressed, we’ll see after the migration but Im at 3 stars, only cuz i can at least see my balances now
Old Review:
Its rough being cut off from my account for so long. I have recent ios update on an iphone 6S and the app opens a purple screen for about 30sec then crashes. Ive updated the app and ios several times since i got this phone in hopes that one of these times it will work again but it never does. The developer even responded to a previous review and seemed to think the app should work.
Any chance you guys can add support for older iphones? Sorry I’m not rich, i can only afford the oldest model that supports the rescent ios updates. This phone costs me about $100, thats my budget for a new device. Please fix the app so I can access my funds
Lousy, Stay Away!
Read the forums!
Web search: “ABRA + restricted”.
After you give them all your personal ID and financial banking info, and after they verify they can pull $$$ out of your account, based the info you gave them;
only THEN are you informed your account has been “restricted” and that you’ll not be allowed to buy Bitcoin w a fiat $$ transfer from that bank you just connected to your account!
For most of us, buying crypto with fiat is the SOLE purpose for this app!
‘ .. We’ve flagged your account as “restricted”, we will not tell you why, you have no appeal recourse, and we won’t work with you to resolve this matter... ‘
UNBELIEVABLE !
Imperious and opaque stonewall form letter response from both chat and email!
It’s not your fault or your bank’s!
Either ABRA has so many users they don’t have to care, or this refusal to process fiat to crypto is a reflection of their business model, or problems with that plan.
STAY AWAY !
In regard to Developer’s Response:
ABRA just needs to be fourth right in their description, to effect that:
‘this App and Service is NOT to be used solely as a utility for fiat to crypto conversion!’
AND that:
‘ABRA will block users that appear to be using this App in such a way.’
It’s apparent ABRA really only wants the type of user that will STORE their wealth on the ABRA platform, intermediate to long term. ABRA doesn’t want to be a pass-through conversion service.
Just be up front about this. Don’t collect people’s private banking info and then immediately block them from using the App for the MAIN function people are downloading it for!
Frustrated
I am very disappointed with the customer service that Abra apparently doesn’t have. Back in December I applied for an interest bearing account. This is now March 1st and still no response as to why my application is still pending. I have emailed Abra twice and was informed that they would expedite an inquiry into the application. It’s been 45 days now and still the issue exists. So I will and have to friends and family that I no longer will buy crypto through their app. I actually will recommend a competitor such as exodus that I have now moved most of my crypto to. I also like kraken and Coinbase. Very disappointed with Abra and their lack of oversight of accounts and problems that arise. I recently received an email where they were adding more support to their platform. What they need is public relations team for the lack of customer service that they really lack. Instead of blaming a third party support team that they hired. Blame lies with them. They should have resolved my issue and told me why my application is still pending. Hope this is not happening to other but I believe it is. Can’t recommend Abra to anyone
anymore. Larry from Missouri.

This was sent to me in an email on [protected]
We apologize for the delay but I've escalated your issue for further investigation. We will send an update once we have additional information.
They must have a great investigative team. That was almost 10 weeks ago. Barney Fife could have figured it out by now. Like I said, they have no accountability to customers. Plus they haven’t responded to my review. Is this really a team to trust with your hard earned money. Still frustrated
Great app. No 2018 taxes transaction export
TODAY March 21
Ryan from tech support got back with me Monday, first business day after I logged the support ticket through the app option for support. In fact, he got back to me so much quicker than expected, I missed the email expecting it days later. Best bit: he provided me an export of my 2018 activity as a csv that successfully uploaded to ZenLedger for easy taxes.
Sweet!
Im in tech support myself (different company) and appreciate the fact that in his very first communication he delivered exactly what i needed to move on.
Upgrading my rating to 4. I love the simplicity, no frills. Abra just need to be on top of their ability to export last years transactions soon after a new year begins in order to be tax friendly. Feature Request!
EARLIER March 16:::
Jammed trying to do taxes. Made the Mistake of thinking I could dramatically simplify my trading by only using Abra with less messing on exchanges.
Its currently March 16,2019. There is a Transaction history export is there for 2017... it takes you to email and shows me the file ready to send. I can enter my email address to send to myself. There is no SEND button, so I can see my email ready to go but cant send it (?). I worked around that eventually by selecting the CSB attachment icon in the unsendable email and copied it into a clean new email message in my regular email, i.e. not from the app.
There is no transaction history export for 2018. Tax submission is 4 weeks away.
Abra team, instead of only allowing an export of a fixed 1/1 - 12/31, please just call the button “Transaction History export” and allow us to choose a calendar date to start and calendar date to end, and if you want you could limit is to a max of two years for the range — most of the code you need is already written, it should be some fairly minor changes to open this up to be helpful.
Looking forward to see what you do with it
Thanks
BEWARE! Thieves and Scammers
Update: It's now May and they told me my money would show up in my account in three business days and that was a week ago and still no money. Do yourself a favor and look at abras subreddit and you'll see. Or attempt to contact customer service, just act like you have a question. It's impossible
UPDATE 3 MONTHS LATER?!?
After harassing them on social media and tagging the CEO, filing with the ComplaintsBoard.com, complaining to their current and potential customers and business partners (which I will continue to do until I have my $100 returned) they finally responded but blamed the issue on Simplex. Funny thing is I just sent crypto from abra so my transaction didn't even involve simplex from my understanding. They say they are waiting to hear back from simplex, but maybe if I spam their social media I'll get a response faster. Especially if they are being falsely blamed. This issue has been going on since Jan 9 and it's now April and I've never so much as had anyone give me the hash info I need to track this down, nor has anyone even attempted to actually solve my issue other than with deflection and stonewalling. I hope Simplex is ok with the bad reputation this will cause because of Abra. Maybe I should let the Abra subreddit full of people that also had money stolen, that Simplex is the given reason and we can all talk to them as a group. I'll reconsider my rating-- if the app store ever allows us to give zero or negative stars.
This app worked just fine for me for transferring crypto until one day it just kept the $100 I sent. The money never arrived and Abra won't even respond or give me the info I need to track it down. Go check Reddit, lots more just like me who had significant amounts of money taken and the customer service is non existent. I mean, they literally never respond to multiple emails other than a form letter saying they recieved my message. I've even attempted to contact them on Twitter, Reddit, and Facebook and they just ignore it. That makes me feel like that are just scammers who should be removed from the app store.
Concerned My Identity Just Ran Off with Aba
I am BRAND spankin new to the crypto market and a friend said I should download Abra, so I researched and based on the recommendation and the information I read in regards to the functionality of Abra I did. Tried to purchase XRP and was told I had to verify my account (just like previous users). Sent in all the documentation using the Abra clunky, no status providing process (ended up uploading docs multiple times because I simply couldn’t tell if the upload was successful or not). Waited a week and still was not able to use my bank account. So I fumbled around and purchased BTC (paid a fee) then exchanged to XRP (paid a fee). Then reached out to customer service to find out I was restricted (whatever). Here’s where the problem comes in, I was told this AFTER I paid fees TWICE! Then I moved all my BTC to CB and PAID ANOTHER FEE. The reason I had to move money over was because of FALSE ADVERTISING. At NO POINT was I told I needed to pass this ridiculous validation before I would be able to use my bank account and the ONLY REASON I used Abra was because of the ability to exchange XRP to USD.
I am a Program Manager with a financial institution that manages development projects from beginning to end AND I am VERY well versed on fee disclosure and PII (which you call KYC). So here’s a tip...Wether you are operating within the regulations or not does not matter. it’s the public perception that matters, and fact is, based on these reviews you appear to be a shady company that does not care about your customers. You’re project managers need to do a better job of putting themselves in the customers shoes and THINK END TO END before rolling processes and procedures out like this.
Don’t bother telling me that there is still benefit in using your app for BTC purchases because I’ve already emptied my wallet and funded a wallet with CB that verified my account and had me up and going same day. I now have the functionality you falsely advertised. Oh, and by the way, they told me UPFRONT about all fees and the verification process!
I had high hopes for this app…
Before I downloaded Abra, I had heard good reviews about this app from people I consider trustworthy. I liked the idea of earning interest on my crypto and even fiat, as well as free ACH transfers when depositing money into my account.
Then the problems started with customer support.
I couldn’t even get as far as submitting my Prime Trust application without the app giving me an error and telling me to check their server status page. And every time I did, it said their systems were up. The first two times I contacted customer service about this issue, I didn’t receive a response for almost 6 weeks. When they finally responded, it was just a link to an article telling me how to add my bank account to my wallet to perform an ACH transfer “instead.”
I had clearly outlined in my original emails that I’m receiving an error when trying to submit my application (submission AND approval by Prime Trust is required to do an ACH or wire transfer from your bank account) so that article was of no use to me. The last time I contacted them, they responded within hours and I was impressed. I felt like I was getting somewhere. They asked me questions about my location, account, etc, and I responded promptly. I was then told that my request would be forwarded to their engineering department, in which 15 minutes later the same representative sent me a link to an article and then closed my ticket, assuming that his article had helped.
Spoiler alert: It didn’t! It was just a link to their FAQs telling me which states and territories are not available to use Abra. I wasn’t from any of them! And I know that Abra works in my state because the people that recommended it to me live in the same state that I do!
I responded to that email with this information and I never heard anything back.
TL;DR: Abra /seemed/ like an app with promising features, but errors that prevented me from ever getting past step one of approving my account has locked me out of said “good” features, and customer service couldn’t care less about actually resolving my issue. I’ve moved on to Nexo, which I recommend if you want to earn interest on your assets!
Could be better
This app is great if you want to check the price of current coins but that’s about it for me. I have attempted to transfer money into my account through a bank transfer but that was unsuccessful. So I tried to buy bitcoin through Visa. After the app has my social security number, my credit card information, both sides of my ID, and facial identification with my debit card and identification card, the app still does not allow me to purchase coins. The company refuses to tell me the exact issue so the third party company they run off of has given me 12 reasons it MAY not be working. After waiting hours for responses and disapprovals, which I have attempted more than once I have achieved nothing. I would not recommend this app to anyone. I would recommend robinhood which provides the same currencies with no fees. The only reason I have attempted to use this app is because robinhood does not support crypto in my state yet. I would rate this app 5 stars if I was told what the issue is so I was able to fix it but the company has decided that having all of my information is not enough for them so I have nothing else to give so I will give up because I have no other choice. Do not download this app, you can find many other brokers with smaller fees and better customer support.
*update*
Not only did they not help me, I am not able to purchase anything in the future because of my past declines, and even though my account is useless I still have no idea why I was not allowed to purchase coins because I have no issues with any other broker.
*update
Thanks for responding to my issue weeks later, I really appreciate the slow response time, meanwhile I have managed to set up a Coinbase account, purchase Litecoin, send it to Evercoin to exchange to Ripple XRP. This was about 30x faster creating 2 separate accounts on 2 separate apps and all I needed was my ID, and not only that they accepted it with nothing wrong both times! Would you look at that! I’ve had no security issues and I enjoy the features on Evercoin much better than on this app. I highly recommend downloading Coinbase and Evercoin instead of this app. You will thank yourself later.
I was skeptical but decided to try
So, Ive downloaded more then 10 crypto wallet apps to find out which one is easiest to use and has the most features. And when I came to Abra, like I do with every other app, I first read the reviews
And most of them were horror stories!
TLDR that has not been the case for me but I understand their situations.
I was skeptical that Abra would be a scam and that it’s simply collecting everyone’s financial info and then rejecting their bank accounts — forcing them to only use the BTC. I spent hours watching and reading reviews online and I even spent a good half hour talking to an Abra help desk agent via chat about my concerns that I saw in the app reviews.
Ultimately I had to act and there was so much confusion that I decided to try. I installed the app and then entered my banking information. It took 2 days but I did see the deposits, entered them in the app, and Abra successfully included my bacon account. I was not rejected. That seems to have been everyone’s biggest complaint but it was fine for me (emphasis on “for me).
Now I know that right now they only support BTC withdrawal (I believe) and the other altcoins are probably tied to simple smart contracts, keeping track of those currency prices compared to BTC. But that’s ok with me! After using bitcoin.com, Jaxx, and Coinomi, it was nice to have both the opportunity to exchange altcoins amongst themselves AND to withdraw crypto (just BTC, yes) to fiat. Without Abra I would have to download a wallet app and then a separate exchange (of which there are like 2-3 legit ones).
So yes. Maybe limits for buy/sell is low but give them time to gain more capital and grow. And for me the bank account sync was flawless and easy. And finally, a HUGE shoutout to their support team. I talked to a couple different agents and their English was spot on, they were clear, polite, and very, very helpful. I didn’t want to believe them at their word, but the level of support is amazing. Great job Abra! I can’t wait to see this grow and solidify.
Also, I jut wanted to add that the reason I really wanted to use Abra was because it’s easy to use UI, an exchange, and a crypto-to-fiat method. They check all three boxes for me. Thanks!
Poor Service and Ridiculous Policies
I’ll at admit at first, despite other poor reviews, I had good first impressions of this app. I especially liked the ability to use my AMEX to purchase bitcoin. However, the experience became exceedingly worse as I continued to use the app. The first issue was with their AMEX integration. They charge your card as a “cash” transaction, which AMEX puts limits on, meaning I was only able to make one purchase. After communicating with them, and AMEX, I chalked it up to them having to iron out a few kinks, and continued to use the app. However, after reinstalling the app on my new phone, my AMEX card was suddenly removed from the account and my wallet was restricted from using any bank or credit card transaction. I attempted to contact Abra, but they refused to resolve the issue or provide even a basic explanation of why this occurred, consistently using secretive “security protocols” to avoid providing any support. You can see this for yourself from their response to other reviews, where citing these “security protocols” seems to be a favorite tactic to dismiss customer concerns, without explanation.
Update in Response to Developer:
I think everyone understands the purpose of security protocols, the issue is that yours are poorly thought out and executed, as many others have pointed out. Quite frankly they seem lazy. Rather than verify identity or work with customers to insure security, as most services do, you are quick to apply strict policies of restriction on the most basic functions of the service and provide no recourse for customers. No, I certainly don’t appreciate security measures that render the product essentially useless. Your policies don’t need to be a secret at all. There absolutely is another way around that, and most other services manage to do it just fine. There are hundreds of much larger and more successful companies that manage to maintain a level of transparency that keeps their customers informed on their own accounts, while still protecting all involved. Working closely with customers and insuring security aren’t mutually exclusive concepts, they actually work better together. Your policies are very flawed and I think the reviews here are a testament to that.

You need to click on the ALL review tab to see some genuine positive reviews. Do NOT just look at the negative reviews, and decide not to use this awesome app.
First things first. Yes, they are relatively new to the Bitcoin and P2P Playing field, by what I gather. Not totally sure about being new to the p2p, but definitely Bitcoin.
Let me tell you, though, that at this time, it is the easiest and BEST way to get Bitcoin - and about to be even better, once they gain traction and get more Abra Tellers in place.
Like a fellow reviewer stated..."it is even better than Coinbase". I can attest to that being a member and user of over 15 cryptocurrency exchanges, including Coinbase.
With the reputable exchanges, you must jump through hoops, to even be allowed to deposit or withdraw from a bank, and even worse, it takes 4-5 days to see your funds with Coinbase on a simple ACH exchange to or from your bank.
With the other exchanges, that aren't as KYC (know your customer) ready, you can't even add a bank account in the first place. These exchanges are for trading crypto-currencies only.
With Abra, I added my bank, requested $300 (early in the day), and actually received the money in my account, ready to use that SAME day, even though they stayed up to 2 business days, I think.
The next day I did another $300, and it was a Friday. I did it a little later in the day and they stated an expected arrival of Tuesday. Well, Monday morning it was there.
Second, everything is FREE. No transaction fees. You only pay fees when you exchange to and from USD/BTC; and they are minimal! For the $300, it was right around $3-$5 exchange rate difference. Yeah, it's actually "free" to exchange, but there's a little exchange rate difference, so they can make some well deserved money making the exchange.
Third, and for me, a diehard Bitcoin enthusiast and investor, the best feature... They actually understand the how Bitcoin block transaction fees work! If you are unaware; if you send a Bitcoin transaction with an inadequate amount of fees, it can take a week or, in worst cases months for the transaction to get confirmed.
I'm not going to go into detail on how this all works, but just know that when a ton of transactions are in back log (search Bitcoin mempool), if your service is sending your Bitcoin transaction with even slightly ABOVE normal fees, you will be waiting a long time.
Abra, on the other hand, sends their transactions through with enough fees to ensure your Bitcoin arrives at it's destination in the absolute fastest time possible. For those in the know (391Sat/byte) was the fee with my latest transaction. The miners LOVE this and your transaction will be placed on super high priority, even during the most strenuous mempool backlogs.
My last transfer confirmed in 9 minutes! 3 confirmations in 12 minutes and 6 in 19 minutes. To those aware, that will be welcomed news. The current backlog is THICK. At the time, this amounts to about $2 more in transaction fees, but well worth it, as I have been waiting for 3 days now from a transfer from Livecoin.net exchange.
Anyway, most of the bad reviews on here are from people with issues on their own bank's side, or with complaints about the starting minimum of $200 (although that is false) at the time of my typing this review. I sent $300. Maybe restrictions are put on certain people/banks.
As of right now, this is the BEST service to buy Bitcoin using ACH. If you want to pay 20-40% markup on paxful or localbitcoins, you will get it faster, but ACH, ABRA can't be beat.
I have been restricted from withdrawing from my wallet and customer support has given me the run around for 3 days
I have been restricted from withdrawing from my wallet and customer support has given me the run around for 3 days. I have contacted the owner and support numerous times and there is always an excuse as to why they can't move forward. TERRIBLE customer service.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
I have withdrawn BTC to wire transfer to my bank account from my Abra app account on Dec 30, 2020, but they neither transfer the money to my bank account nor return my cryptocurrency till now. One of their service clerks emailed me and asked me to provide the Swift Code, claiming there's an issue with it. I provided the code to her and double-checked it's correct with my bank. I haven't got any reply and explanation from them since Dec 31, 2020. I tried to contact them many times in different ways, and all the responses were automatic replies. Everything looks like a scammer or thief. At this point, I may be looking to pursue legal means to get an answer.
I have been trying to withdraw $950 from my Abra account for over 5 weeks and it is still not in my bank account
I have been trying to withdraw $950 from my Abra account for over 5 weeks and it is still not in my bank account. Abra is also giving me the run around and telling me 2 different things from 2 different people. I feel they are a scam and they won't give me a concise way to fix the problem and won't give me my money back! They only contact me through email and won't call me. It takes days to hear back from them!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
If Abra is not a bona fide scam it's really close to 1. they say it's a wallet and it's located on your phone but yet they are able to seize your funds. You have no control over your cryptocurrency whatsoever. Within 24 hours they changed their terms of service which allowed them to hold the funds deposited by their users for 60 days. They claimed it was because of fraud however the uses that they already have who has been withdrawing from their account should have been excluded in whitelisted. Do not I repeat do not use this sudo Exchange which in actuality you can only purchase and withdraw 4 cryptocurrencies.
Sent a wire on June 18th
Sent a wire on June 18th. It is now June 22nd and it still has not been credited to my Abra account. Tried contacting customer service for not only Abra, but also the bank they use for the app (Evolve Bank & Trust), as well as the intermediary party known as Synapse...none of these companies could answer if they had received the funds or why the funds hadn't been credited to my account. Communication is terrible for a financial services company. At this point I may be looking to pursue legal means in order to get an answer.

Crypto wallet
I’ve held funds with Abra on and off for multiple years.
I had some funds in my Abra wallet and was told to withdraw those funds.
When I went to do this my balance was showing zero, I contacted Abra and they said the problem was fixed, it wasn’t.
Balance still showed zero.
They told me to refresh the app, that didn’t do anything the balance still showed zero.
I contacted them again, no response.
I contacted them again, no response.
I contacted them again and after a period of time decided to delete and re install the app.
The app is no longer available in my country so cannot re install.
I contacted abra no response.
I contacted Abra they responded after several days saying don’t delete the app.
I requested they send my funds to an external wallet, they responded and said they couldn’t.

Abra Cryptowallet
Hello,
I invested an amount of around $380 into my Abra cryptowallet. The app all of a sudden stopped working due to some kind of technical error. I informed the Abra support team of this and was told to update my application before trying it again. I deleted the application from my iPhone but could not find the Abra app in the app store. After contacting the Abra support team again, I was informed a couple of days ago that the app is no longer available on Apple devices, only on Android devices of which I have none and no access to.
I've contacted the Abra support team again, but I'm still waiting for a response. I am very concerned as I may not be able to access this money again, and this is money which belongs to me.

Abra will not allow me to login to withdraw my assets
Abra sent the following message but then will not actually allow me to login to withdraw my assets.
======
This is a reminder for US based Abra customers with a balance in their Abra App. We are writing to remind you about the upcoming deadline for withdrawing your assets from Abra in the U.S.
August 31, 2023 is the last day you can withdraw assets from the Abra App to an external crypto wallet. Please withdraw your digital assets immediately. Note that you will need a third party crypto wallet to withdraw you digital assets into as you will not be able to withdraw directly to an external bank account.

Holding my money and cannot get it out
I have money in my Abra Boost and trying to get it out. I opened the App on Aug 18 and saw the same message as everyone that Abra is not available. I emailed them many times, tried the live agent option on their site but it always says agents are not available at this time. I tried all day yesterday and nothing. I saw the case that was opened against them in Texas and glad to see there is something against them, but that doesn’t get me my money back. I have been emailing them so many times and nothing. I just want them to make things right.
Desired outcome: Transfer money out of Boost account
Abra
Abra app won't open. I have Bitcoin on this platform since 2017. I have been earning BTC interest for a couple of years. At end of July, 2023 I got a message from Abra that interest had been added to my account. On August 16, 2023 I tried to open Abra app and got a message "app will not open due to comliance issues"
After some research I see there is SEC issues with Abra and I have until Aug 31, 2023 to withdraw my funds. I have emailed and text Abra support for 4 days and nothing.
Desired outcome: Want to move my BTC to another wallet address
Abra Boost
I have an email dated in July stating that my Abra Earn money would be transferred to my Abra Trade and I would be able to withdraw my money before August 31. On August 16 I was locked out of my account with a "compliance" message and told to message support but I have not heard back from anyone. I really just need Abra to honor their word and ensure that my Earn money was transferred to my trade account and that I can withdraw my money before the August 31 deadline. This has been very daunting for me. Thank you.
Desired outcome: Abra account unlocked, Abra Earn funds transferred to Trade, successful withdrawal.
Abra, where is my money???
On June 24th, I withdrew my USD off of the Abra app via an ACH bank transfer to my linked bank account. The Abra app confirmed the with-drawl. My money has yet to show up in my bank account.
With all the news of prime trust and Abra insolvency, I am now very nervous. And the customer support of Abra and prime trust has been a total joke, no response at all for weeks now. Where is my money? I want to know where my money is, this BS has gone on long enough.
Desired outcome: I want my money
XRP withdrawal
I received an email June 30, 2023 reminding me abra trade would no longer be accessible to US retail customers via Abra app. This, however, was my first notification. I sent a support question because at the time was unclear of my options. I never heard back. I found out from a friend that I could send to Uphold of which I already had an account. Friend recommended I try withdrawing a small amount which I did. After it cleared I attempted to withdraw the rest. I put in everyone the same way only I entered the remaining balance. When I pressed done the screen would not allow me to click review. There were no messages stating I had entered anything wrong. I’ve sent several support inquiries, no response. I’ve called [protected], Abra support number and left several messages. No return call. I’ve tried their chat and NO ONE is ever available for live chat and bots just don’t understand the questions and just lead you in circles. I cannot be the only US customer having this very disturbing problem with the possibility of loosing a significant amount of money. I would appreciate some help very very soon. Thank you!
Desired outcome: I want to withdraw all XRP from Abra as not to loose significant dollars. I would like to get a response from support or by phone.
Having the same problem. No response; no help from Abra. Won't let me withdraw any money at all. Says if I proceed doing anything I'll lose my money. Did you ever figure out how to get your money? Thanks
BEWARE! HOLDS YOUR MONEY FOR 60 DAYS
BEWARE! I downloaded simply to transfer money (over $1500) to a friend, and when I transferred money from my bank account to abra it told me I can’t utilize MY OWN MONEY FOR 60 DAYS! I needed to send this money ASAP so I then tried to send the money back to my bank account. Abra won’t let me send it! I immediately contacted them and have been begging and pleading with them to allow me to put my own dam money back into my bank account. They keep giving canned generic responses they can’t and won’t do it. They claim when I signed up that there was a disclaimer saying about the 60 days but I don’t remember it being clear or even seeing it. Regardless, it’s my money which is now stuck in their app. With all the craziness in the world now, and being out of work for the last 12 weeks this is brutal for me and my family. I don’t know where to turn to and need my money back. 60 days is a hell of a long time for me to get my own money back into my own bank account. RUN AWAY FAST!

Ridiculous fees and poor interface
At first it seems ok with the consistent interest payouts every week, not bad. But then they dropped their rates by a ton so I wanted to take money out. That’s when I discovered how awful the fee structure is and transfer options.
If you want to simply withdraw stablecoins to a bank.. you’ll need to exchange it to their chosen stablecoin, in which case they will take 1.15% of your entire holdings via their spread! No other crypto platform does this.. I’m on tons of them and this is hands down the worst for fees. An even larger spread applies for buying and selling any coin in the app, and the interface for doing so is really awful. Doesn’t even support limit orders.
The other (more economical) option is to withdraw via crypto transfer. Even then their transfer charge is $10, despite very low actual network fees currently.
I won’t even get into their long and painful process of identity verification, again the worst I’ve seen. I think I’ll have to abandon Abra after seeing all this mess.

Scammers!
Don’t even think about downloading this app! Seriously. It’s absolutely useless. You can’t do anything with your funds other than exchange them in the app. Probably they don’t have any cryptocurrency because there is no way to pay with the exchanged BTC or XMR or anything else also there is no way to transfer the currency (any) to another wallet. I could do it only to another Abra wallet so they keep my money anyway. What you can see on the display is jugglery. Numbers changing to another numbers. Getting back the original Fiat currency is very hard, now I’m working on it. I have to give my very personal information including SSN to confirm my identity or they want to know my Facebook profile. This is ridiculous. My identity was not important for them when I used my credit card at the first time?
Update:
From today [protected]) the BTC withdrawal works without giving the personal information or allowing the app to access the FB profile. I could move my coins to another wallet fast and easily.

Account restricted before it was even used
I signed up for Abra for the sole purpose of being able to purchase crypto using an Amex credit card. Tried adding the card to my account but kept getting an error that the card couldn’t be added and to please contact Abra for further assistance. I made sure to double-check that all credit card and billing info was entered correctly. Still received the error. Contacted Abra customer support and they responded with this: “Unfortunately, we will be restricting your wallet, and you will not be able to transact via bank or AMEX credit card within your Abra wallet(s). For privacy reasons, we cannot share any additional information with you in regards to any canceled transactions, wallet limitations, or why your wallet is restricted.” I’ve never used the account for literally anything and now I’m restricted from using it for the one thing I signed up to use it for, with no explanation provided by Abra. Garbage app if you’re trying to buy crypto via Amex - should have looked more closely at the all the negative reviews before I signed up.

Issues with app
I thought I give this app a try but, I already encountered issues that they couldn’t give me a reason to what the problem is. I entered all my information, added a bank account which was verified through the deposit validation process. When it came time to buy crypto, a message came up that said... unable to process transaction. I emailed support to find out if there is any issue and here is what they said...

This is the Abra Support Team, and this is a follow-up to our previous email. Based on our internal requirements, we will be restricting your wallet, and you will not be able to do bank or credit card transactions using the wallet(s). If you choose, you may still deposit BTC but you will not be able to deposit or withdraw using a bank account or credit card.
I replied back to ask what the reason was, or if I need to submit anything, but was told that they could provide me information.
Another useless exchange if you ask me. I never got a chance to do anything yet with the app, but I already have a problem without any information as to why.

Won’t use again
The Abra app itself works pretty well. The customer service is atrocious and very suspicious.
I used Abra a few times to buy bitcoin and transfer it to other wallets. I didn’t have any issues doing that and I thought the interface worked well.
Months ago, I deposited money from my bank with the intention of buying bitcoin but never did. I decided to withdraw the $100 I had in the USD wallet. For 2 days I received errors saying to try again later. I used the messaging function of the app to contact customer service. I asked if there were any issues with withdrawals. The first email from customer service stated that my wallet was being restricted and I would not be able to make any transactions with any banks or credit cards. Also stated was that they could not tell me anymore for privacy reasons.
What? This is not only unacceptable, it’s incredibly suspicious. I can’t perform a withdrawal and when asking customer service about it, my wallet is restricted and I’m left in the dark?
I have moved my money out of Abra via bitcoin and could never in good conscience use Abra again. Too bad really.

Too good to be true
The app sounds good, has flexibility for funding, diverse coin options. Once you get into it you find out there are limitations to amount you can fund, which I was ok with. I fund my account initially using a credit card, went with max daily allowance $200), which went through without an issue (with service charge $208). Tried to fund to the max allowable daily limit the next day and card gets declined. I try to link my bank account after this and shortly after I receive an email requesting additional verification, which I found excessive and seemed like a phishing attempt. They required a photo of an ID, a selfie of you holding the ID, and a image of the bank statement for the account you linked. Only after they accepted my initial credit card transfer was when this level of verification was requested and now required. I also spoke to my credit card company to figure out why my card was being declined and said that I was only allowed $200 per day including the service charge of 4%. Only when I circled back to ABRA about this did I find out they required the level of verification described above. Not a good experience unfortunately.

Photo ID Upload Terrible!
Abra worked fine for me during the initial crypto buying process (although the limits were too low). However - when it came time for me to sell a little crypto for $USD, I could not accomplish this using Abra. The daily limit was so low, it would have taken me days to complete the most simple sell order. When I attempted to "increase daily limits" by uploading my drivers license, the system rejected my photo over 30 times! Yes - I consulted Abra's web site and email support. I am a photographer, so I know that the photo must be clear, edge to edge, on a dark background, no glare, etc. (Note, Virginia licenses have a transparent secondary photo that will not show well on a dark background). I contacted support, I was told, "Unfortunately we do not have much control over this process since the ID is validated by our banking partner and they use an automated system.". No willingness to own the problem and contact the banking partner on my behalf, I was told just, "sorry for the inconvenience". Well, my inconvenience with Abra is over. So - Abra, I'm "sorry", but I have deleted your app and have no problem performing my trades (nor uploading IDs) using other services, using increased limits.

Bad for financial transactions and customer suppy
Ok, I am currently experiencing multiple problems dealing with Abra in regards to my bank. I’m into my second week trying to straighten this out. They just aren’t set up to deal with common real world banking. I’d recommend to them they do not ask for a customers bank login info, account and routing numbers are usually sufficient. It just creates for me a security problem because that login info also gives them access to info, credit cards and credit reports that I’m not overjoyed to share.
Their concept of a live chat function is email which they say could take as much as two business days to return messages. And because it is within the app, it’s not even a thread, so you have restate things every time. Plus, I’ve noticed that sometimes they reply to concerns without even looking into the problem.
And as far as problems with banking, Abra does not let you know when a problem occurs. Their app can state a withdrawal is going through without a problem but then days later nothing happened and the money is just back in Abra with no notifications from them about the problem.
If the problem is resolved today, I’ll revise.
Their are many safer ways to deal with crypto and ones with more responsive customer service.

Donot fall for this bitcoin app
(Update)
TO SCAM MORE PEOPLE , Abra will say they have “ hold 13 different cryptocurrencies, 20 soon“ ; donot fall for it ... read below Before you plan to download and install Abra...
The app looks good. You download , you create login. To register bank account they ask your SSN NUMBER , your residential address. You give those INFORMATION and set up youR bank to do transactions. That is THE ONLY simple THING IN THIS APP
When want to deposit money through your bank , after 2 days you get message on app ,YOU HAVE CANCELLED YOUR TRANSACTION, and when you write to support you get this
“This is the Abra Support Team, and this is a follow-up to our previous email. Based on our internal requirements, we will be restricting your wallet, and you will not be able to do bank or credit card transactions using the wallet(s). If you choose, you may still deposit BTC but you will not be able to deposit or withdraw using a bank account or credit card.
For privacy reasons, we cannot share any additional information with you in regards to any canceled transactions, wallet limitations, or why your wallet is restricted.”
Yes , you can deposit BTC , but we will make sure you cannot do anything with it ...
I would not RECOMMEND THIS APP FOR BITCOIN TRADING

ABRA is a scam crypto wallet! Buyer Beware!
PLEASE READ! I was an avid every day user on Abra. I had been building my portfolio trading crypto for about a year no real issues. They had a few bugs here and there but nothing too alarming. Yesterday they had a bug that made your portfolio show as having $0 which can make your heart drop when you see it and others had the issue according to their Twitter support page. Well they finally had fixed it later in the day but for my highest crypto that I had in my portfolio there was a bug in the amount that was showing on my end. I had my friend look on theirs and the price it showed for this one crypto was much different than mine and by quite a bit. I chatted with support with them telling me it’s nothing on their end and that it was all fine and that there was nothing they could do. I had a substantial amount of this crypto too. It was my number one in my portfolio. I even provided screenshots showing the price difference. Still no help. They wouldn’t even explain to me why the screenshots I sent showing the difference. Needless to say I moved all of my money out of this scam app and transferred it to a new crypto wallet and had to rebuy new crypto’s. So beware with this app they can change your price to be different than someone else’s and there is nothing you can do about it.
