I received my Visa statement today and there is a charge for $44.85. I did NOT order this and I will not pay it. I was to be charged only for the shipping cost of $4.95 for a FREE sample of Acaipure. Today is 12/4/08 at 3:55 pm.
I have tried to call and am on HOLD for over an hour. This charge will not be accepted. What kind of scam are you into? I want a credit to my Visa and a confirmation of that credit by mail and I will not wait--I want that credit to my account now and the confirmation now. I simply will not put up with this. I agree with above e-mailers. I ordered the free trial and was sent pills and water and billed $41.85. Have tried several times to contact these people by telephone. They state a wait of 25 to 45 minutes.
Cannot get an RMA number and am returning everything I received unopened. Will contact my credit card company and see if I can stop payment on it.

How stupid I was

HERE'S WHAT TO DO!
1) Do NOT open ANYTHING
2) Attempt to get ahold of the company
3) Contact your credit card company (or bank) - the credit card company may help you to dispute this
4) Follow their directions
5) Change your card number (or account number)
6) Don't blame Oprah - but email her and ask that she let the rest of the country know about this
7) Take responsibility for ourselves and next time - check it out FIRST

Also ordered acaiberry which i thought was something from the oprah show so i felt it was safe. i was wrong. received the product plus hoodia junk i did not order and after trying and trying to call or email with no response i sent the whole order back. I didn't want anything to do with it at all. i just feel totally scammed. hopefully after changing my account i will not be charged anything else. a lesson learned on internet purchases.

I was scammed also.. they charged my check visa account $44.00 an some change. I was suppose to pay $3.95 shipping for free trail. I have left several voice messages and sent several emails. I finally contact my bank and they are looking into this. If they don't get an answer within 30 days from the company a credit will be issue to me. I never recieved the items. I do indeed think that we should let Oprah know about this-what a rip- off artists.

You guys are dumb. When you were asked to type in your billing information, two other offers were advertised: hoodigum, and some other product, both of which were overpriced. They were also both checked off as BUY NOW, even if you didn't check them. Try it again, and see what I'm saying. Fill in your info for the "free trial offer" at acaipure.com, and when you get to the page where you fill in your billing info, look to the right and see the two yellow boxes already checked off. Your welcome.

I was offered a trial of Acai dietary supplement bottle of 60 capsules for a price of 1.95 dollars, instead the company sent Hooda gum with a dietary Hooda water supplement that was never agreed apon, the company then charged me for these products that I never ordered at 44.95 dollars.

I had the same problem! I was supposed to pay just for shipping and handling but I get 2 additional products that I did not order and they charge me $39.99...This company seems a real scam...I tried to call them but they never answer claiming that they have "large volume of call" all the time!

I also received the free trial... this has not done anything for me as far as weight loss. I tried and tried to get through to the #.. but it would either ring busy or the automated system would say that the wait time was long and would automatically disconnect me not giving me an option to even stay and wait on the line. I have now been charged another month for this and have only received the trial offer, not anything else and was charged 39.95 to my credit card. I contacted my credit card company and they have placed the charge in dispute saying this is a very valid dispute. I will close my cc if i have to so they can not get anymore money from me !

I AM GETTING CHARGED FOR A PRODUCT I NEVER RECIEVED . THIS WILL BE 2 TIMES WITHIN A MONTH. I AM REALLY SICK OF IT. I CAN'T AFFORD FOR THIS TO KEEP HAPPENING. OUR ECONOMY IS BAD ENOUGH. I NEED TOO CALL THIS COMPANY. TOO SETTLE THIS MATTER RIGHT WAY. IT'S SAD HOW THESE COMPANYS CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE.

I too agreed to the "free" sample plus shipping and was charged $44.85. I returned the gum and the bottle that was broken during shipping within 2 days and included a note that I did not order the gum and the bottle and I was not going to pay for this and I have not heard back from ACAI. Of course, the charges are still on my account. How do I become part of this class-action suit? This is a company with no integrity whatsoever. Just another on-line scam. Monte

Pills sent along with drops that cost over 39.95 plus gum of 9.95 are crap. Only thing that happened was 200.00 medical bill for stomach problems. Caused great abdominal distress.

I ordered free sample for 4.95 I thought but when I checked my account they had deducted 44.95 and I sent back last week. Lo and behold when I checked my account last night they had withheld another 39.95. I had already sent them email to cancel my order and I can see right now this is going to be a problem. This company does not get any authorization to decuct this amount from my account after I told them to cancel. So please do not believe their hype as I did.

The same thing happened to me. I orderd a free trial of Acai Pure and received 2 other items totaling $44.85! I did not order these items and I a now in the process of trying to return them. I have to have a delivery confirmation number and a Return Merchandise Authorization number. By making me acquire these numbers are they trying to discourage me from returning the items so they can just pocket the $44.85? This is a rip-off and should reported. Some one has to stop this!

Upon returning their "weight loss product", (nothing more than a LAXATIVE) which INCLUDED a $10 pkg of gum I did NOT order, and seeing on my Chase bill they did not credit my return shipping for a fraudulently advertised product, the 1st "rep" was rude, refused to transfer me to a Supervisor, but finally did. When he got on the line, he rudely stated "we do NOT reimburse s & h" to which I asked "may I please say something?" & he again just flatly stated "we do NOT reimburse s & h", AND, disconnected me! I will be reporting this also to the Better Business Bureau.

The same thing happened to me. This is what I did. I used my debit card for the purchase. I may or may not ever get the product. Live and learn. I canceled the debit card and ordered a new one. My bank put a claim against the transaction and they will try to get the money back. BUT THE COMPANY WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO TAKE ANOTHER DIME FROM ME CUZ I CANCELED THE CARD! It is a inconvience but jokes on them. They may have gotten 44.95 out of me-but never again cuz the card dont exist. I highly recommend doing this.

I fell for the free trial offer just pay shipping. With my order i recieved 2 other products they say i agreed to but i did not. i asked for a refund and to send a pick up order for return of the products because i did not believe i should have to pay to have it sent back since i never ordered it.
i was shocked to see my next credit card statement! i not only did not recieve my credit of the product, i was charged $39.95 for product i never recieved.
i have now called my credit card company to dispute the charges.
This company is a scam. Do not fall for any free product trial just pay the shipping.

I also was suppose to pay for shipping and handling, next thing i no they were charging my card 44.90.Then the next month they charged my card another 44.90 .I didn't agree to that.I wasn't satisfied with the first bottle of acai pills, so i defineately didn't want anything else from them.
I want to be reinburst 44.90.This is a scam in my opinion.

I did wont to try this product, since it seemed to be approved by Oprah. On ordering the free trail offer for 2.95, if you fail to uncheck the blocks for the gum and drops you will be charged much more! I have emailed them twice to cancel the order but no answer. when i called them they said it would be a 31.00 restocking fee. What a rip off! Don't do business with this company. every one needs to email Oprah with a compliant...

I had the same problem with Colonmate. I sent 3 refused packages back at the same time and and they said only 1 was received, so they would only give me credit of $5.98. I lost out on $156.00. They said the packages were lost in the mail. I will never order from a company on the Internet again like that. They just take your money and run!

I am so mad and disgusted right now! I should've searched the complaints, but like many of you trusted this product ONLY because it had OPRAH on it! I kept getting emails about the product and finally give in. Every time I tried to click to exit a pop up kept coming up. I was told I would only be charged $1.95 and after reading your complaints I looked and found I was charged $41.85! I just called the number that's posted on my credit card acct (ACAIPURE [protected] ) and a machine came on and said due to high volume of calls it would be at least a 50 minute wait! I wish I could pick the phone up and call Oprah. Maybe we all should right her. You know Dr. Phil had a show on where ladies were using his name and it was a scam! I am about to search Oprah!

I know I already commented on here a few moments ago, but after reading your posts and finding I have been scammed I just emailed Oprah! I went to OPRAH.COM and emailed her. Explaining I feel most of us have been scammed because we want to lose weight, but also we trusted this product because of her promoting it. PLEASE email her show! Who knows this may help us! I want my money back!

I have the same complaint as I just read on your first page. This company will not let you get to a person via phone to complain and they keep sending products, charges to my credit card and I can't get rid of them. I am shipping back (at my expense) the first package which has an exact same chage as the other customer said: $44.85 and then $39.95. I don't even know what the last charge is supposed to cover.
I will turn them in to the BBB also but really want to know how to stop shipments.

Order the trial and it was shipped with other products they claim you need to take with the Acaipure. I immediately tried to contact them by phone...no answer...told a 42 min wait. I then emailed and told them I was returned the product and expected no further charges (other than the $5.95 trial charge) would show up on my account. They have charged me $44.95 on 9/28 and $39.95 on 10/27 and I can't get any one to respond to me! I phoned my bank and they are trying to get these charges stopped and credited. This product does not work and this company should be stopped...they use false advertising and will not return your calls or emails. I will pursue legal action now! Companies like this spoil it for all the good ones!

Ordered the free product like everyone else. This is obviously a company that hopes to be around just long enough to make a quick buck from what I can see. Here is the link to the AZ attorney general complaint form. FILL IT OUT. http://www.azag.gov/consumer/complaintform.html

return the product and be sure to use a service that you can get and produce a signature from the receiver for proof to your CC company.

I am filing a chargeback. visa and MC rules do not allow for a very high percentage of chargebacks before they will pull the merchant account. (around 1%). My reason for chargeback is unauthorized transaction for the additional charges and I was unsatisfied with the first shipment as I sent it back

File a complaint with your state attorney office.

I will not sign for any shipments from them and when presented I will write "refused" and have the package go back to them. They will have to pay for postage both ways and and I expect them to not be able to win a chargeback.

Knowing that they have to pay per minute for the 800 number I am not afraid to call on a phone that I dont have a limit of minutes on and just set it down while I 'wait' for them to pick up.

I am going to have to watch for future charges as well as they already charged me again AFTER I filed my complaint filled out their online form and sent them an email.
