I received my Visa statement today and there is a charge for $44.85. I did NOT order this and I will not pay it. I was to be charged only for the shipping cost of $4.95 for a FREE sample of Acaipure. Today is 12/4/08 at 3:55 pm.
I have tried to call and am on HOLD for over an hour. This charge will not be accepted. What kind of scam are you into? I want a credit to my Visa and a confirmation of that credit by mail and I will not wait--I want that credit to my account now and the confirmation now. I simply will not put up with this. Dez Roberts
I have had the same problem. If anyone knows their email please email me. I want them to send me no more AcaiPure. I bet this goes to the Attorney General before I get any reaction. Today I was told there was a 40 minute and 14 second wait for a customer service personnel. That is ridiculous
I have just joined the ranks of all the other people who have been ripped off by this company. I STRONGLY urge all of you to contact the Arizona State Attorney General's office and/or the Florida State Attorney General's Office. Contact the state that is mentioned on the products packaging. I have faith in this system and you will get results. I have just contacted Arizona and am confident we will hear something soon. Google "Arizona State Attorney General" and you will get to the site and click the links leading to consumer issues. There is a direct link to e-mail and explain the situation. Include all the information you can in regards to the address, etc. They will have to respond to us all.
Good luck!
Further to my earlier comments --I am so insecure in trusting to the fact that my order is truly cancelled despite being given a cancellation number, I decided to cancel my credit card--did this around an hour ago and explained why and how foolish I felt at being so taken in after using the internet for over five years without anything like this ever happening before.
The guy was really understanding, especially when I told him how very convincing the whole set-up appears and he made me feel a lot better simply by telling me not to worry, my card is now blocked and a new one will be with me within 14 days or less.
Well---it has been a lesson truly learned--
I don't know whether anything else will turn up, as apparently some other affiliate named Fit Factory or similar, is a hidden extra scam tied in with this and is ALSO deducting almost 30 dollars per month ON TOP of the AcaiBerry lot!
If that happens, I'll return it, marked unsolicited mail--
How bad is it when we have to not only go through the scam issue in itself but it goes on seemingly forever, trying to make telephone contact to cancel, cancelling credit cards, losing money not authorised, receiving--or not!--unwanted goods at ridiculous pricing--and in my own case, the extra hassle and cost of 'phoning from the UK, hardly being able to be heard?--hence my insecurity and lack of confidence in the "cancellation".
Do you have programmes on TV over there--we have one called "Watchdog" on BBC tv---it takes up public complaints and outrages scams such as this and highlights them and gets them looked into legally and with Police intervention when necessary--I would definitely say this is such a great example.
They are using Oprah for one--part of the reason I trusted in the product so much as I have watched and enjoyed her for many years---she usually is a Woman OF and FOR the People---can she not take up the banner for us all?
If anyone understood the desperate measures that we take when needing to watch our weight and health, she certainly would, having been there so many times herself and I'm sure she would abhor the lengths these scammers have gone to in exploiting that.
Again--Good Luck to you all---best do as I have and many others--cancel your cards, they cannot take hundreds and thousands of us to Court, can they?--it would only show their sins up for all to see!
I'll keep watching here and comment again if necessary--
Warm wishes to you all----keep ringing, it'll be cheaper holding on the 'phone than losing all that money every month----but once your cards are cancelled, they ain't gettin' ZILCH!

OH---BY THE WAY------A THOUGHTTT
NO WONDER "ACAI BERRY" IS SO SUCCESSFUL IN PROMOTING WEIGHT-LOSS; IT'S 'COS OF THE STRESS!-

I responded to a free offer with just paying shpping. I received additional products that I never ordered. After repeated attempts I did get through and got a return #. I returned the unordered products with an authorization # but have never received a refund to my account. I had ordered the free sample and was charged 39.95 and then an additional charge of 44.85. No one will answer the phone now They say it is a 40 min wait.
I ordered the trail for the AcaiPure, they charged me the 4.95, then a week later there is another charge on my account for 39.95 from them again! I never placed another order to AcaiPure and I can't find an email address for them and when you call it tells you the wait time will be 48 mins! This is ridiculous! Please spread the word, DO NOT USE! It doesn't work as a weight loss pill, the best it's done is help my skin, a bit. Stay away!
I just ordered Acaipure and wass charged 44.86. I thought it was a trial offer for only 4.95. Please cancel my order if i am going to be charged the full price.
I was billed 39.95 for Acaipure that was never sent to me. I tried numberous times to contact this company and have waited on hold for over an hour and still wasn't able to talk to anyone there.
This is very disturbing that it can't be cancelled without someone picking up the damn phone on their end.
I recently ordered this product and was told it was just a free trial offer. I was charged 46.82, should of been 4.95. This is no way to run a company. If this is not cancelled, I will take further action. My order # is 1549966
I just checked my checking statement and the charges are also $44.85 and not the $4.95.
IS THIS A SCAM?
WHAT CAN WE DO?
I am trying to call now, but plan on reporting them to the attorney general. I think they may be part of Berkley Nutraceuticals, which did the same scam with other products, and the owner and CEO is now doing jail time. I am also going to request a new bank card, so they won't be able to keep charging, which is what Berkley did. It may, and probably will be, a $45 mistake, but it can be much more if they keep charging. And I hope the attney general goes after them like they did Berkley...if we all contact, they will.
Like all other complaints - the government needs to prosecute. We are looking at a class action that should tie up any assets they have for sometime and identify the specific people so we can take direct action if you know what I mean. They charge your card for items you do not receive and provide misleading information. I contacted Oprah who is very interested in use of her name for practices that do harm to people. Do not order with a credit card. We cancelled our card a filed a dispute (they are sending a new card). These people are playing a dangerous game and will no doubt pay in many ways for their exploitation.
I, too, was scammed by this company. I ordered the free trial for $1.95 shipping. I received 2 extra items and was billed $41.95. I tried to call, but the recording said there would be a 52 minute wait due to the popularity of their products. Yeah, right! I emailed them but don't expect a response after reading all of these complaints. I guess I'll be paying a visit to the bank early tomorrow morning to make sure this fraudulent company doesn't steal any more of my money. If I don't get reimbursed I'll file with the Better Business Bureau, too.
Yep, I'm just like all the others. I paid $4.95 for the trial product and then they billed me quickly for the balance of $39.95 and then billed me again 10 days later for another $44.90 product that I didn't authorize bringing the total to $84.85. Thank goodness I saw the charges on my bank statement and quickly went there to fill out a dispute form. They canceled my card that I used and is trying to contact the company... LOL Lots of luck to them! Sounds like no one ever gets to talk to anyone. So now they can't bill anything else to my account. PLEASE EVERYONE CANCEL THE CARD YOU USED SO THEY CAN'T GET ANYMORE MONEY FROM YOU! I'm also going to contact the Better Business Bureau. Not all companies are bad, but when you get stung by one that is, it ruins it for the honest companies online trying to make an honest living. I know I'm going to be alot more skeptical.
Initially, I received and was billed for items I did not ordered. I returned the items but still have not seen a credit to my account. I cancelled all future orders, however I have received another shipment and account billed. This company needs to be checked!
Well everyone I did the same as you all did, however; I did receive the product and have been taking it and believe it or not it does work...I lost 10 pds the first week. I am very upset about the issues you all are about being charged when I was told it was just shipping and handling. I plan on contacting my bank to put a stop payment an any further transactions from them and am also going to contact the BBB. Good luck everyone.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I found out how they were legally able to send you extra items and charge you for them. If you look at the ad for the trial order, the two boxes on the right suggests that you can elect to order these products with your trial order at the low low prices of $9.95 and $29.95, however what they don't tell you is that the boxes are automatically selected right as you hit the "Rush my order" button. So it forces you to order those anyway. I did the same thing, but I was lucky, mine kept saying I was the 1, 000, 000, 000th customer and needed to call. They are ripping people left and right and know it. Call the BBB and complain, the more calls the more chances they might do something about them.
I ordered a free trial bottle of acai pure tablet s with shipping handling of 4.99, I was charged for a botttle of hoodie water and hoodie gum. I was charged for two months. They then sent me more after canceling. I called the company in October to cancel (by leaving a message). I have been billed, yet again, but when I tried to call again, I was prompted to a line to cancel only to get a recording and unable to leave a message. I
THE SAME THING HAS HAPPENED TO ME. I HAVE TRIED TO CALL AND THE RESPONSE IS, THAT I HAVE TO WAIT ON LINE FOR 59 MINUTES. IT IS RIDICULOUS
This company is a rip off...they charged me $44.85 instead of the $5.95 shipping that was stated. I even read all the fine print and it said nothing of charging me more. It has been over two weeks and I still have not received anything. What was Oprah dreaming up when she told us about this product...Is she in on the take?
I order a trail sample for $4.95 and was billed for $44.00 if that wasn't bad enough I got another bottle of Acai Pur that I didn't order and I don't want and it isn't easy getting a customer service person on the phone. I was told it was over 1 hour wait...this is nuts!
I ordered ACAIpURE AND IT WAS TO BE A TRIL WITH SH BUT YOU CHARGED Me 44.85. NOW I HAVE ANOTHER CHARGE ON My CHECKING, FOR 39;95 I WANT A REFUND FOR ALL OF IT. I CALLED AT CANCELD THIS BEFORE THE TRAL WAS OVER SO I SHOULD NOT BE GETTING MORE CHARGES. A REFUND PLEASE.
i do not wish to order more at this time. i was charged for another bottle and did not recive it . i am out of work right now . i need that charge back in my account. thank you; please cancel my account and my credit card number' a
I DI DNOT AGREE TO HAVING AN ACCOUNT AND WANT MY MONEY BACK!
you all should pay attention to the order confirmation form, to the right of the form two boxes were automatically checked, saying you wanted these other products, kind of how email company's do. well if you do not un-check these boxes you will be charged! NO Scam, you just didn't pay attention!
I ordered a free trial and agreed to pay shipping only of $4.95. Acaipure charged my credit card $44.85. I have disputed this with my credit card company. They charge my card again for $39.95 for something I did not order nor did I receive. I have disputed this claim also. Again they charged my credit card $44.90. I have disputed this claim also. The only way I can stop them from charging my credit card is to cancel my card which I have had for 20 years. After holding on the phone for one hour I finally spoke to a person. I was told that they sent me to additional items (which I did not want) and said it was automatic unless I "opted out." I do not remember reading this when I requested free trial.
My advice to future buyers DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THINGS YOU DO NOT ORDER.
Everyone is suffering from the same things: receiving wrong orders, bogus numbers, no answers, wrongful charging to your account, etc. However, if the number doesn't work and the e-mails go unanswered, then I say that we go back to the sites we got trial from, check the Terms and Conditions, and mail them a letter telling them to cancel your order and stop sending you things you didn't order. If that doesn't work, then I also say that we band together here and take them all to court and see just how it goes. Maybe, if it works, then we'll get them to stop their b.s. and give us back our money, even if it was a dollar. If all else fails, I say close out that account and open up a new one. When you order online next time, try a Wal-Mart Master or Visa card or Pay Pal instead of using your usual debit or credit card. If so, use credit and not debit and check your account regularly because you can keep track of your purchases and keep down identity theft.
Wow what a shock - I should have read this before I was fooled by this scam. I have cancelled my card and requested a refund from the company - I haven't received anything yet either. Typically I always search for any offers on the net and add the word scam to the search - I think the inclusion of Oprah's name lulled me into a false sense of security - won't be doing that again regardless of the 'seller' Good luck everybody!
Hi Everybody this is Vanessa again. Having read all the complaints on this site and two others I did more investigating and found the name of CCN's CEO - Graham D Gibson on another site. I decided to send him an email asking him about the activity at his company and included my telephone number asking him to call me and he did about 5 minutes ago which was a pleasant surprise. He told me about the inclusion of the other items that I had ordered and that I hadn't notice and said that this was a common mistake that many of us have made when ordering the product. I like many of you thought I was just doing the free trial and wasn't expecting a charge of ~$45. He did say that my money would be refunding less the restocking fee when I returned the products that I hope to receive soon so I am very optimistc that this will happen. A lot of people are happy with the product and were probably more vigilant in their ordering than we were. He also said that they get 1000's of calls on their customer support line and had only ~45 people managing this hence the long wait times on the phone (which I wasn't prepared to wait for). So all in all if things go to plan and I get a refund for the additional items I do not want I will be happy and will try the product as >90% are happy with it. I can only suggest that you try to get a refund by email and if that doesn't work contact Graham by email who may be able to rectify things for you - his email address is graham@centralcoastnutra.net and if this site doesn't post email addresses you should be able to get it at www.azsfinestthings.com under the contact page.
PS if you have seen information suggesting there is a class action suit against this company that is not true.
Hope this helps - good luck! I'll let you know if I get a refund on the extra items.
Oh my God, the same as everyone else. Every day, no answer on the 888# and another bag in the mail today. Total charges as of today will be $174.60, cancelling credit card.
I agree with all of the above comments, and was also robbed by this low life company. I was initially charged $44.85, sent the products back, and continue to be billed for $39.95. A class action suit is definitively in order, and Oprah should be notified...PRONTO.
Let's all work on putting this "### of the earth" company out of business so other, unsuspecting people do not have to go through what we have all endured!
Started to order the "free trial" only to find out they wanted $4.95 for shipping. When I declined, they came back at me on the web site stating now they would reduce the shipping charge to $1.99 Received the trial and paid the $1.99. Next month credit card was charged 39.95 for a bottle I didn't order.
Tried to reach them many times on the toll free #. This is what I got----
"Due to the popularity of our products we are experiencing unusually long wait times. "Current wait time is 49 minutes and 30 seconds."
Wonder Oprah knows their using her name for this rip off?
the exact same thing happened to me, i called and couldn't get
a live person on the line, then i emailed them and finally i got
a person after a 4o minute wait, they said wait time was 23
minutes. The person that got on the line wanted to give me a
tracking number, since i didn't receive the product. She said
it was too late to take the charges off my bill and wanted to know why i didn't call when i didn't receive my product. She also said i should have noticed the 1st charge on my bill, which i did and couldn't get through, i asked how old she was and she said 19 and also that she would have noticed that she didn't get the product and checked her charge bill. I explained to her that i have alot more on my mind then wondering how late my product was. Unbelievable company, i'm making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and called my credit card company but we should all do more, i just don't know what!
Good Luck everyone, call your credit card company and explain it and they should take that off your bill! Don't give
up.
I didn't even know I ordered this product, while looking on line. I did put in my debit number, but thought order was only $1.99. Then I decided to cancel. The next thing I see this charge appear on my account for $41.85 and didn't know what it was for until I checked my bank account. I did not even recieved product and I don't want it. This makes me think the scams will keep charging my account. I am going to contact my bank. I tried the call the scammers, but got a recording. I thought you could trust Oprah.
The absolute same thing has happened to me except I only inquired and all 3 products were sent to me! I returned them, argued with the representative over a 15% re-stocking fee and the cost of mailing. He called me a liar as well! Now, I just received another shipment! I am working with my credit card on this. If you have any advice please let me know.
I agree! The same thing happened with my account. I had to cancel my credit card to keep the THEIVES from charging my card. They should be stopped! BAD BAD BUSINESS!
I sent for a free trial, which I never received, then on 10/01/01 and 10/28/08, my crecit card was charged $44.85 and $39.95 respectfully, even though I never received anything. And like I said, I only order a free sample. Then today, I got an email supposedly from UPS with a tracking number, saying my package sent to the wrong address, and that if I don't pick it up from UPS in 10 day, I will be charges $6.00 a day! I called my UPs stores in my area, and they never heard of this tracking number. I don't know what to do.
I ordered a trial sample of the acaipure products paying the shipping and handling charges for it. On september 26/th 2008
I saw charges on my bank statement for $41.95. After trying too call several times I sent two e-mails immidately and got no response from the company, I then thought the bank could help so I went there and signed a statement but they thought it was a scam and then after all that I got another shipment a month later on october 27/th charging my account again a $39.95. I called the company several times in all this time and finally one day I waited an hour too too finally get a represenative on the other end when they were taking calls, I explained my dilemma and all I got was that I should have cancelled these orders. What did I not do too cancel these shipments? Well once the bank paid the charges they deducted them from my account again, I couldnt do anything about it and tried too send the order back only they wouldnt send a return shipping label to me when I requested one so I knew from one experience before that I hadnt better return the acaipure order or they would keep that order also, I would not hear from them after having paid for what I didnt order as well. Well after all the trouble for over a month I changed my bank account for a new one and they have no access to it if they didnt cancel their shipments to me.I also cancelled with the represenative when I finally got one.
It just happened to me! I am stunned. I am thankful that your comments are here. My heart is pounding from this theft. I am disgusted, first with acaipure, second with myself. Never again.
I recently e-mailed you regarding this product and someone was suppose to get back with me. That is know way to run a business. I think you guys are scammers. I really wanted to cancel this order, and know one got back with me. I was suppose to only get a free trial and was charged 44.82 for god knows what. My order # is 1549966. If this is not taken care of, I will go to further actions. Please contact me ASAP!
