I received my Visa statement today and there is a charge for $44.85. I did NOT order this and I will not pay it. I was to be charged only for the shipping cost of $4.95 for a FREE sample of Acaipure. Today is 12/4/08 at 3:55 pm.
I have tried to call and am on HOLD for over an hour. This charge will not be accepted. What kind of scam are you into? I want a credit to my Visa and a confirmation of that credit by mail and I will not wait--I want that credit to my account now and the confirmation now. I simply will not put up with this. free sample was suppose to be 4.95 shipping. charged my account 44.85. called their phone #, recording told me there was a 51 minute wait due to increased popularity of their products. Yea, it's people trying to get their money back. I'm filing fraud charges with my bank.

I ordered the trial package of Acaipure only. There was never any thing written about having to buy additioanl products. My checking account was charged 39.95 but I have not received any additional Acaipure. I have only tried one of the trial products there was nothing stated that I had to send the products back by a certain date, if so I would have sent it back the day after receiving it. These people should be stopped for taking advantage of us and not be allowed to make untrue stated and get away with it. I want my money back.

Ordered the trial size of Acaipure for only 4.95. Received package with Hoodia Gum and a Hoodia Liquid. They charged my credit card 44.95. When I attempted to call, there was an extremely long wait. Emailed them and they said I marked it when I ordered. I have a very good memory and do not recall marking this invisible box. I returned the package with all its contents within the 30 days. Still have not received credit for the first one, then they charged my account again for a second shipment. I have a confirmation letter when the item was delivered and a letter stating the account had been cancelled way before they charged the account again for the second time. Company is a scam big time. Anyone reading this needs to file a complaint with your credit card and the BBB. Christine

I also ordered this FREE product for the shipping and handling of 4.95 and got charged the 44.95 and have yet to receive the product itself. I have alerted my bank and since it was in the early stages, they were able to block the payment and refuse any future transaction they may try to make. When you call the [protected] number you are told that your wait time will be 54 minutes and 30 seconds, they are counting on you not having the patience to hold that long.

This is my second complaint. I called this morning and was told to hold on for 66 minutes and 47 seconds, that's almost 2 hours. If you try to call in the mornings you will not be able to go to work, if you call in the evenings you can't prepare dinner for your family. I beleive that this is a scam because most people can't hold that long so this gives them the space to send you another order the next time and make more money. Just think how many thousands of people that this is happening to THEY ARE MAKING TONS OF MONEY BY SCAMMING. I am going to report this to the BBB today. One complaint said that we should get together report this to Oprah since her picture is in the ad. I think that's a good idea. In fact we need to sue this company. What do you guys think? clarahardy@sbcglobal.net

What bank are you using that said you would lose your complaint; or was that this ### company that said you would lose your dispute?

$39.95 on 10/27/2008
$29.95 on 10/26/2008
$29.95 on 11/10/2008

I want my name taken off of their mailing list, and them to stop charging my credit cards for merchandise I never receive.

Ordered trial offer only, but was sent Hooduburst Gum and Hoodiawater, which I need to send back, cannot get a hold of customer service on the phone, now I notice it says a 15% restocking fee will be charged, this I better not get charged because I DID NOT order it, why are you people so dishonest?, and trying to rip innocent people off! Please respond to this matter and let me know you people are going to help me, and are not just plain crooks.

I signed up for a free trial after (I thought) carefully reading to make sure there was no catch, such as there auto ship negative option. I was to pay $1.95 for the trial. End of story. I found a $39.95 charge on my bank statement after about 2 weeks. I called their number, and after a 54 minute wait time, was able to talk to a representative. After our discussion she told me that she would take $20.00 off the charge and cancel any further orders. I asked about returning the pills and receiving a full refund since that was supposedly what I would have had to have done to not be charged any further for them. She said they couldn't do that since they couldn't reuse the pills. I, then informed her that I would be reporting the company for fraudulent and misleading business practices.

Ok, they got me too. Ordered the stuff 1 month ago for 4.95. They called me 2 days ago, I cancelled and told them I didn't want it. Charged my account for 39.95. I'm on the phone right now holding (have been for 34 min.).

I ordered this product on a trial.. for the shipping and postage only. I have now been charge $74.85 . I have ask for a refund 5 times from their web page.. which clearly states if you don't like the product they will give a full refund no questions ask. I did not authrize these charges. This is clearly a scam. They want a credit card number to charge the shipping and handling. I wonder what Oprah would say if she new her picture was being used in a consumer scam.

What a jerk! What a jerk! I have tried for 2 days also to reach the Acaipure 888 number on my credit card statement. Also, have tried to email Acaipure.
emails refused.
NO RESPONSE What so ever.
ACAIPURE sure covered his butt. I have an agreement with my self that I will not pay anything I have not agreed to.

When a business gives me a statement that says they will automatically send me merchandise, watch out!
I'm not paying.
We love Oprah's endorsement, don't we?

I, too, have been scammed by Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. On 11/3/08 after getting their email, I ordered their FREE Acai Pure Trial with a $1.95 Shipping but when I received the product, the package contained two other products, Hoodia Gum and Water, costing $29.95, that I did not order. My credit card was billed $41.85! I have repeatedly tried calling this company and also emailing them but cannot get in touch with them. Today, they charged my account for $16.95 for something I did not order nor have received. I have had to resort to closing my credit card account to prevent them from billing me again! I want to return the products but unless they provide me with an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization), I will not get a refund. How can I get an RMA if I cannot reach their Customer Service? There is also a 15% restocking fee which in my case is $4.50 just to return the products! I am contacting the PA. Attorney General and filing a complaint.

I am disabled and am on a fixed income. My daughter just gave birth by cesarian to a premature infant . Thinking that this would be of use to her in aiding in a healthy weight loss program, I ordered the acai pure product for a free sample and only to pay a shipping cost of $1.95. Imagine my surprise and my frustration to see an unauthorized charge of $9.95 for gum and $29.95 for water, for a total price of $41.85 charged to my credit card account! This is so unconscionable in such a blatant scam! I would gladly join a lawsuit to prevent this from happening to anyone else AND to prevent them from profiting by such corrupt means. Oprah, remove your name! Linda C.

well i ending up having to cancel my credit card, and get another number, i am not taking a chance that they will do this again next month because i am sure they will try. It is horrible that they do this to people. Today was my day off and i had to mess with this all day. I filed a dispute with my cc and they say it could take 45 days to resolve this if i even get my money back. I wish i would have read these complaints before i was suckered into this scam. I even canceled my order two weeks ago and they sent me a email saying okay no need to do anything else we have canceled your order, and now two weeks later, i was not expecting this charge. i still had some of my trial offer left, i threw it in the garbage, i couldnt stand to look at it. i know i can find something at GNC.

I went online to purchase the Acaipure product and was supposed to be charged shipping and handling $5.95. I just happened to check my bank account online to find they drew $44.50 from my credit card. Fortunately, I had the money in the account to cover the draft, but I want compensation for charges that were taken without my consent. You do not get any confirmation or anything, no way to track item and I am concerned this may be a continuous withdrawal. I am still searching for a phone number to talk to a person to get this resolved. I refuse to talk to their automated system!

I have been charged twice now on my debit card for this acaiberry ###! I had one for $35 and then today I found another one for $44 that came out off my card. I am so freaking mad. If I don't get ahold of someone shortly I am going to report them to the better business bureau. Has anyone else had any luck getting them to refund their money? or is it just a lost cause?

I ordered this scam of a product on November 8th, 2008. I haven't received it as of yet. However, I called their toll free customer service number [protected] they had listed on their website to let them know I didn't want the product any longer due to them charging my account $44.85 that same day. I never authorized $44.85, but $4.95 shipping and $1.00 for the trail. I haven't received the product yet, so I thought well what better way to cancel than now. The website said it takes 3 days to ship out anyway. I called the same day to cancel my order. After I dailed the number I was prompted by a recording, stating due to their excellent product, they have a high nature of calls and my wait time would be 45min. Well, I waited and waited for over 45 min. I waited 67 minutes and got too frustrated and hung up. I then sent an email to support@centralcoastnutra.net to inform them of who I was, my order number, and the date I ordered their product. I told them I don't want their product and do not send it and give me a refund, and don't charge my account again. Today, November 13th as I'm typing my comment I'm holding again. This time the automated system said my wait time would be 20 min. Unfortunately, I've been waiting for 38 min. I'm determined to speak with someone. Oh yeah, I still haven't received the product. Gotta go now, if I do speak with someone from this company I'll re-post and let everyone know. Count me in on the suit. Just let me know. My email address is Linda.Summers@ymail.com

This company is bogus. Do all your research before purchasing. Be prepared to pay $45 for a "free" trial. Also be prepared to not receive an answer when calling or emailing. I had to cancel my credit card and dispute all their charges. I will now email all the companies that they use for advertising (Oprah, Today, Rachel Ray, ABC, CBS etc.) and advise them that their name is on a scam. It is easier to go into your local Wal Mart and purchase the Acai pills and a colon cleanse. At least there you get a receipt, product, bag, change (in most cases), a real phone number or live person in case you need a hassle free return and a smiley sticker. Simplicity. =) Nevertheless, I will NEVER purchase from Central Coast Nutra again. I strongly advise that no one, (unless you enjoy punishment) purchase from them either.

I signed up for the free trial and was suppose to be charged $4.95 shipping and handling and got charged $41.85. Apparently there were items on the side that had the boxes checked in them for additional items I didn't want or know about. I tried contacting them through email and it said to allow 24 to 48hrs for a response and don't send the email again. Well it's been 7 days and I have not heard anything.

I agree with the negative comments. I ordered this product in October which the company debited my account in October for $44.85. I have NEVER recieved any products. I have called the company to dispute this and the hold time is well over 2 hours. I have e-mailed this company but have not had ONE of my e-mails returned with a comment. I have just looked at my bank statement an lo and behold they have debited my account again on 11/13/08 for $39.95 which AGAIN I have not had any products to show for this. Now I am having to take off work, go to my bank to sign a waiver so this "SO CALLED" company can not take any more $ out of mu account. Even though I am a single Mom, this should not happen to anyone EVER.. What is this world ocming to. TAKETAKETAKE...

Asked for first trial and got charged $44.85 and they sent gum, water and the "sample" instead of the Price of 5.00. Not any good. While I was away in England they charged my credit card with another 39. 95 and I never received anything. Credit card charge is in dispute.
