I received my Visa statement today and there is a charge for $44.85. I did NOT order this and I will not pay it. I was to be charged only for the shipping cost of $4.95 for a FREE sample of Acaipure. Today is 12/4/08 at 3:55 pm.
I have tried to call and am on HOLD for over an hour. This charge will not be accepted. What kind of scam are you into? I want a credit to my Visa and a confirmation of that credit by mail and I will not wait--I want that credit to my account now and the confirmation now. I simply will not put up with this. Charge & Delivery of Acaipure was made on my Visa. I was out of the Country and returned to late to pay the Visa Charge on time. This resulted in a late charge of $29. Have notified my Visa not to accept future orders on my card. Will only place future orders when I need them and with a check inclosed for amount payable. Do not want my credit to reflect bad habits of late payments. Plus this is money wasted which I can't afford. Thank you.Order date: 10-24-2008 Order number:1390654

I to like all these others have been taken. I responded to the email for a free trial offer of this product AcaiPure. I notice the next day after ordering that they deducted $44.50 from my account, I was very mad because the offer says pay for shipping only which was I think $4 + change. There was an 888 number listed on my bank deduction so I called it, I was put on hold for over 1/2 hour and nobody answered, so that what a deadend.

I have my product with no instructions included on how to take the stuff except on the back label which is so small print you can't even read it. The flyer with the product says not returns for opened product. Well that stinks how do you know if it even works for you without opening and trying it. this is the biggest scam I have ever been taken for. I can't believe OPRAH would recommend such a product scam.

Right now I'm out 44.50 and theres no way to contact this company to get my money back, I have been RIPPED OFF because I had opened the product and tried it but its to soon to tell if it works.

Somebody needs to catch this company and bring them down for scamming all of us out of $44.50.

I'm just shocked that so many people bought something, entered their credit card # and everything without READING what they were AGREEING to! It says right there how much you're going to be charged EVERY MONTH if you don't send back the unused portion and cancel right away. Then right there on the order form are 2 offers ALREADY CHECKED OFF THAT YOU WANT THEM that you have to uncheck if you don't want them...

It amazes me that people DONT READ!

After trying to call this company four times since Oct 24th., and being put on hold for 20 or more minutes at a time. I gave up and called my credit card and filed a dispute.

On Oct 15, 2008 I was charged $41.85 on my credit card, which was only to be $1.95 for a trial size. I received a package in the mail on Oct.24, 2008 and I refused this package and sent it back to the Floria address. On Nov. 4, 2008 I was charged again for $39.95 . As of today Nov.14, 2008 I have not received this order, But when I do, I will refuse it.

I would like for all pass and future orders to be cancelled.

Thank You
Jean Day

I ordered a free sample of the product and expected to pay shipping & handling. The product is Acaipure. They charged my account $44.85 on the 10th and I still have not received my free sample. Shipping and handling was quoted as $1.99. I called the telephone number for customer service and the wait time is 65 minutes.
Not only did they overcharge me, but they still have not shipped the product and they are impossible to reach ny telephone. You can not email them from their website.

I did not ask for that bottle nor did I order anymore. So I, am going to send it back they better credit my account or I, am getting my attorney involed. Why should I pay for something I did not ask for. I only ask for the trial offer nothing else.

BUYER BEWARE.
The company is a scam.
Their billing practices are totally unethical.
And, of course, the product is trash. Actually dangerous trash.
Doesn't take a whole of deductive thinking to figure that one out (at this point in time).
Don't get burned along with all us other dopes. Go to the health food store for your acai.
I just wish this website offered a way to get these guys instead of just airing our sad stories.
A lawsuit would be MUCH more effective at putting these gutter rats out of business.
Why on earth some lawyer doesn't take this one up, I don't know. If you know, explain it to me.

I paid 4.95 for the shipping of Acaipure and there was no indication that I would be charged 39.95 if the product was not returned in 14 days. Today, I received the bill for my charge card and to my surprise, I had been charged $39.95. When I called customer service, the persons on the phone were rude and the manager hung up on me after I waited on hold for over an hour to speak with someone. I wish I had checked this site before I placed the order. I filed a complain with the Better Business Bureau on line and would encourage others to do so.

On October 20th, I saw an Ad on the internet for Acai Pure - Dietary Supplement. It looks very good as Oprah even adverstised this on her show. The Ad was supposed to be a free trial bottle with about $1.95 or $4.95 shipping and handling is all that is what I am supposed to pay.

A few days later I saw my checking accounted debited for $44.95. I immediately called the [protected] phone listed on the debit entry on checking account. The Rep I talked to said the other charges was for the small bottle of water hoodia and hoodia gum which I was unaware and for a small gum and small water bottle, I was overly charged. The person offered me a $20 credit which I was not satisfied but went ahead anyway. But in short I was charged $24.95 still for that supposed to be 'free trial shipment".

Nov 10th I saw another charged from Acai Pure for $39.95. When I called the toll free number, I was told that was for the Acai pure pill/bottle that because I did not return I was charged. I asked, it said free trial bottle, if we were to try it, for I think 30 or 60th day, how can we know and this was never discussed during our conversation on October when I first complained, nor this gimmick was not very clear and it is obviously the intention of this company was to deceive and scam people so they could over charge naive people like us.

I will be filing a charge dispute with my bank soon, but I would like to also request a refund and hopefully I do not have to settle this with my bank and had to close my account and debit card for two weeks, which is very inconvenient. Please send this to the proper authority or people so this company will stop doing this to others.

please contact me at [protected] if you have any questions.
Thank you for your help.

I received a package from this company today and I did not order anything from them! Needless to say I was a little dismayed at the fact I got merchandise that I did not want or need. Oh and they got my credit card number and charged me $44.85. I tried calling to no avail. I emailed to no avail too. So, I just got the charge reversed on my card and my company said they will dispute the charge. The rep also told me they know all about this company. Makes you say, hmmmmmmmm!

This company toke 39.95 from my checking account and I would like it back. it has not even been 30 day trial yet and the took my money. this was not authorized and is against the law to take something unauthorized. I called the number and waited an hour on the phone and no one answered. the recording stated i had 57m and 3s and I waited 1h 6m amd 3s and no one answered. will be calling bank to put out fraud alert on them and stop this payment from going out.

I too have not recieved any positive results from my 4 emails. I have called the customer service # all different times of the day and night, even at 2am, and get a recording saying that because of their popularity the waiting time is 50-60 minutes !
I am now dealing with this thur my creditcard company and the
BBB of New Jersey.
Don't blame Oprah for someoneslses deceitfullness, email her, ask her to stop supporting their product and to remove her image from any of their advertisement.

i was about to order the same product seen on this website -- http://www.acai-pure.com -- but when i started researching about it, i stumbled upon Complaints Board and now i am very sceptical about it. they even post Oprah's picture... which makes it even more believeable... i think. thank you for your comments. you did not only help me but many many more people out there from scam artists.

as for the comment of A- the only reason you seen the boxes was after you read these scams. The boxes are deceiving. And even if you cancel your order these buttheads are still charging anyway. So answer that. It amazes me that these people dont know what cancel means!

Isn't there anything we can all collectively do about this? I just got scammed too! And this was AFTER I had already called their number and complained about the FIRST charge. And they STILL charged me for another bottle [I'm assuming... I have not received anything else from them yet]. This product doesn't even work. I know they're just going to tell me that I'll only get part of my refund because of their bullcrap restocking fees and have to send this back at my own expense. I have sent ANOTHER email [it's Sunday and of course their Customer "Service" center is closed] requesting my "account" and my card number be removed from their system immediately. I don't expect any kind of help from them, but there's got to be something we can do. Obviously their false, or basically invisible advertisement has caused an issue for many of us.

Ordered a free trial sample charged $41.85...got products I did not ask for! Then next month charged $39.95 for another order which I did not order. I didn't experience any difference from this product as with a much less expensive one from the health food store for less than half the price!

I also ordered the AcaiPure for trial period and was charged the $44.85 for the gum and the hoodia water which I did not order. I emailed the company several days ago and they responded back to me today and suggested that I requested these items which is not true and that these items should be used together. BIG SCAM!

I ordered a free sample that was suppoesed to cost 4.95 to ship. They have deducted 44.65 from my bank account. This place is a total rip off. I had put a stop payment on it but the charge came in under a different name than the preauthorization name so the bank paid it. I get no answer from my e-mails either.

Have not received any product, ordered on Nov 5, this day is Nov 16. Account was charged 44.85, suppose to be free trial offer for 4.95. Product was AcalPure. Did not see all the complaints until after order was placed, otherwise I never would have ordered. And probably never will again.

This is what I just posted...( a new complaint):

I wish I had known about this website before ordering these two products. I saw this on Oprah/Rachel Ray...in which I will NEVER order anything she sponsors ever again, nor will I watch her program...how can such a name like Oprah endorse such a scamming product? Matybe it is because she gets it for FREE. It states that you may try the products for just a shipping cost of: Acaipure $4.95, and Colopure $5.95. Low and behold, I went to my online banking within a few minutes and guess what? Yes, I have two charges, one for $44.85, and another for $45.85. For what? Well, I went right back to the web site & it already has it checked that I want the gum & some other crap. But, it gets better...it is checked on BOTH orders. So, I will get double the gum (& I dont mean double the pleasure, double the fun GUM) & two Hoodie water liquid drops? What the heck? Someone needs to help us. I printed ALL contact info and am going to my bank ASAP in the morning. Also..PLEASE GO TO THE BBB LINK I PROVIDED (it is no shocker..please make a complaint).

I sent in for an order for a free trial and I change my mind and would like for you to disregard the order please. I didn't realize how much that stuff cost and I saw that I would be sent additional bottles that I don't want. I was just going to get the free trial and that's all. Now I don't want any of it. So please take my credit card off from the order.
Thank you

If anyone had read the fine print on the bottom of the Acaipure website upon ordering, you would have read that they will continue to charge you 39.95 a month and the first month is also in that, $4.95 price. You need to call them and cancel if you do not want to be charged more, and then send back the remainder of the pills you have, and they will give you a refund!

DIRECT FROM WEBSITE:
You are ordering the AcaiPure 14-day risk-free trial offer for $4.95 shipping and handling. Your 14-day trial begins when you receive the product. If you are not satisfied with AcaiPure for any reason just return the unused portion anytime before the end of the 14-day trial period and you will have no further obligation. If you are happy with the product do nothing and your credit card will be charged an additional $39.95 approximately 14 days after your receive your trial shipment. In addition, approximately 30 days after you order your risk-free trial and about every 30 days thereafter, we will automatically send you an additional 1 month supply. The credit card you provide today will be billed the low price of $39.95 plus $4.95 shipping & handling for a total of $44.90 when each new product ships. That's 20% off the regular price for a 1-month supply. You may cancel your membership to at any time by simply calling our Customer Care department at [protected], by emailing us at support@centralcoastnutra.net, or by using the Contact form on our website. Please read the full Terms and Conditions for complete details of this offer. I also agree to the 24 day bonus trial Fit Factory for $29.95 each month thereafter, should I choose not to cancel. I saw the famous "Prah Recommends" ad online. Like an idiot I assumed she had known about this, but they are using her face without permission.

I went ahead and STUPIDLY ordered a free trial for $4.95 and immediately my account was debited $44.85 for a free trial of some Hoodia junk and some other junk, and I tried to stop payment but it went through. Very slick. I've reported them to my bank.

I sent three or four emails which have gone unanswered, and I tried to get through on the helpline. I finally got an "operator" (scam professional) after 65 minutes on hold. He was mocking me and making fun of me, not letting me speak, interrupting me, and then finally would not agree that I did not see the "pre-approved"? orders for all the other junk that they charged me for.
That S * O * B hung up on me after 65 minutes on hold!

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ACAI-PURE OR YOU WILL BE FORCED TO CLOSE YOUR CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT, AS THEY WILL REACH INTO IT AT WILL AND YOU CANNOT STOP THEM!
