I received my Visa statement today and there is a charge for $44.85. I did NOT order this and I will not pay it. I was to be charged only for the shipping cost of $4.95 for a FREE sample of Acaipure. Today is 12/4/08 at 3:55 pm.
I have tried to call and am on HOLD for over an hour. This charge will not be accepted. What kind of scam are you into? I want a credit to my Visa and a confirmation of that credit by mail and I will not wait--I want that credit to my account now and the confirmation now. I simply will not put up with this. This complaints are real and I feel the banks need to look in to these companies. I ordered from several places, and tried to tell them I did not want them to send me any more products.. but I was told that the product that I received really costed.. 39.95, and because I opened and used it I owed them that money.
I had to closed my checking account or I would of lost the money that was left in there.
So people spread the news, do not order anything that says free trial for 14 days.. only pay shipping and handling.. cause you will be charged a lot more money. They will not refund the money and they do not answer their phones. If you do get a answer it is from someone who speaks broken English.
So lets shut these companies down.

I agreed to a trial period and paid 4.95 shipping within two days I returned the pills to them and called to ask for my money to be credited back, they did not credit my money back and charged me 39.95. They are still charging my credit card, when I try to contact them the number is out of service. The credit card company does nothing to protect you from this type of fraud because they get their money one way or another. This ACAIPURE is a fraud company that I am filing a complaint with the attorney generals office and any other complaint I can file! DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION TO THIS PLACE OR ANY OTHER! A TRIAL PERIOD SHOULD BE COMPLETELY FREE AND THEN YOU SHOULD BE CHARGED.

I agree this company should be brought to justice. By all means I would be glad to be included in a law suit. They make it difficult to return the product. You have to get a return number, that took me 10 days. Pills have to be retured in 14 days. What an outfit. I retuned the pills priority mail. Of course when I finally got a reply to my e-mail wanting to know why they charged my account 39.95 they said there no record of pills being returned. Pills had to be retuned to the Fulfillment center Largo, Fl. 33773. They said it takes the fulfillment center a long time to process returned, How great. In the meantime they are billing your credit card. I insursed the package and add ed a signed receipt, However the post office some how put the Insurance and signed receipt on someone;s package that went to New York, I still have my post office receipt showing I paid to mail package to Fl. I can not get a response to find how I send them a copy of post office receipt.
They just don't respond, , They are one rip off outfit. I will never get involved in anything free ever again. This has done me. When they say the word free, I am running away fast. I filed a compaint with the Attorney General's Office in AZ, aganist Central Coast Nut
racenticals Inc. Phoenix Az. 85016, thats where the pills were ordered. I closed out my credit card and obtained a new number, Hopefully they will not be able to charge me ever again.

Buyer beware of terms of trial offer. They offer free trial for 14 days and then charge you. This 14 days starts from date of order, not when you receive the product. If you intend to cancel and not incur additional charges make sure you call and cancel. Get names, net cancellation number and find out where to return product and BY WHEN. Then go to your post office and make sure you are getting a RECEIPT back which confirms the return was made with a date of delivery. I cancelled on time, returned the remaining product 2 whole days before I was told it had to be back or I would be charged and I still received the charge on my credit card. When I called I was told, yes you cancelled but you needed to return this. My guess a lot of people aren't following the written rules. When I called them on this by telling them I did indeed return this on time the representative hesitate and asked for the tracking number. I provided and was put on hold for several minute. He returned to tell me his supervisor had authorized a refund to show up in 2-4 days of the $39.95 additional charge. I'll make sure this shows up and if not, file a formal complaint with my credit card not to pay. I have his first name, his employee ID number and documented date I spoke with him on this refund. IN OTHER WORD...KEEP DOCUMENTATION. If they don't follow-thru I am confident that I will win this charge being removed from my credit card in the end. My reason for return. I saw no results or effects from taking the product. My opinion - it's all hype.

I was just screwed over by these jerk but my cost out of bank was 79.90 which also over drafyed my account, I like how they tell you one price and then they take out what they want. Screwed in Texas.

On May 5, 2009 I ordered the ACAIPURE (for the amount of $1.95) after receiving the product on May 9, 2009...which was the wrong product...I was sent ACAIPOWERI then I called the cancelled the account(so I thought). I have the cancellation number and the person with whom I talked to on the phone. After checking my account(bank) I was charged $39.95 for a product which I DID NOT ORDER NOR DID I RECEIVE)! I again called the company...which they said I did not call them...I spoke to VALARIE. To no aveil I did not get the charges drop...this company is a ripeoff...they are very dishonest. I will be reporting them to the BBB! NO NOT BUY FROM THEM>>>you will be charged for something you did not order.

The same happened to me. They have the offer restated in very small print at the bottom of the last page of ordering, claim that you must return the unused portion in 14 days or be charged for the entire bottle.

When I called them they were very 'righteous' about what they did as if there were nothing deceptive in their ad. It is deceptive!

I am going to find out how to report them for decesptive advertizing.

This should be investigated. This should be illegal!

Add me to the list of suckers who got swindled on a supposed "free trial". I thought I had nothing to lose but the $4.95 for shipping and handling. On the advice of my Doctor, I didn't even use the stuff. He said that there was nothing in the ingredients that would hurt me, but how do I know what is really in it! He cited a couple of examples of some miracle products that had undergone chemical analysis and were found to contain little or none of the supposed miracle product. He said, "It looks like it could be made from Cow dung for all we know. YESTERDAY, MY ACCOUNT WAS CHARGED ANOTHER $39.95!

Do we see a pattern Here? I don't even have a number to call to complain!

There needs to be something done about this company! You see on the internet that you only have to pay the shipping fee of $4.95 to receive "a free trial of acaipure" then get slammed with charges for that, hoodia water and green tea! I informed these people that I had just been laid off work and cancelled my order on Monday..it's now Thursday and my account has been charged another total of $118.50! I just called them and wasted my breath..DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID..AVOID THIS SCAM!

Ordered a "free trial" of product for $4.95 shipping only cost. Told by phone I would be recieving the hoodia and Green Tea for $1.00 more. I was given 2 weeks to try and then could call and cancel which I did. I receieved confirmation of my cancelation, but was not informed that if I did not return the remainder of the products all three I would be charged 38.95 30.95 and38.95 for the free trial that I recieved.
Can this be legal? Please advise!

I read about this product and wanted to try it out so for the advertised $2.95 trial offer what do I have to lose - so I did! Little did I know that if you dont return the trial bottle then you are charged $44.90 automatically! The product DIDNT work for me. I didnt finish the bottle either.
To my surprise I received another automatic shipment AND of course an automatic debit to my checking account. I called and asked to stop shipment. I went to their website for returns and sent a request for a return auth number. No response was received and I simply cant WAIT and follow-up because I am a busy professional. When the SECOND bottle arrived and another debit to my account, then I really was furious. I called again...requested another return auth through their website. After 72 hours there was no response from the request therefore I couldnt return my products. I called for now the 3rd time...THEIR REPS ARE RUDE...and no business being in customer service. THEY CLAIMED I NEVER CALLED NOR SENT THE EMAILS. WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP!
They refuse to give me credit for the first auto shipment even if unopened because it is out of their 30 day policy. THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY SO STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I have alerted my bank not to process any transactions from them. I doubt if I will even get my money back!
SPREAD THE WORD...CENTRAL COAST NEUTRACEUTICALS is ran by a bunch of crooks!

My free order was shipped and I was charged only $4.95, I've just requested they cancel the order online to the customer service department. I'm 12 days from the date I received the product, however, I have lost close to 13 pounds in 12 days from the acaipure product. It does have a proprietery blend in it and you can order organic pure acai berry by the pound for $55 on line. You put it in yogurt or shake and it is much more powerful than capsule full and does not have anything else added to it. Will let you know if they charge me the $44 in a couple weeks.

Do not do business with this company. I didn't have a complaint about the product, I just wanted to change the shipping address, so I
sent them an e-mail on their site as instructed and received back an automated response that they would reply in 72 hours and for me
not to contact them again.
22 days later I get a charge of 44.90, 3 times on my charge card. When I called I am told they had nothing from me and I would be billed because
it was delivered to the address they had., which I was trying to get them to change as I would be away for 6 months. The only response I could get out of the supervisor was they would only credit me 20.oo per 44.90 charge and cancel my account.
Sure is a good way to make a 24.90 profit per product.
This sure teaches me a lesson.

And yes they did sell my e-mail address, My inbox is loaded now with junk mail.

You can't get through on the support line for hours-it took me 5 days of constant calling before I got a LIVE? person who told me my order was cancelled-refused to give me an RMA number to return item and then continued to bill me for products I did not get nor want. I feel like an idiot for falling for this "crap" and have closed my credit card account to stop them, the only way I know how from any further charges. This company is a total scam! Free trial my butt they send it to you and only give you 14 days to supposedly try it and call to cancel and have it back to them before the 14 days is up. Then they still charge your account claiming that they need 10 to 14 days to process your return. What the hell! And a side note their customer service people if that is what you want to call them are a joke especially that ### Aaron. I call to find out why there was a charge on my account because I returned their product and she has the nerve to raise her voice to me, excuse me did I charge your account unlawfully. Total scam besides the fact that the product does not work. My advice to anyone who has ordered this product close your account that you gave them to order it and my advice to anyone thinking about using this product don't it is way more trouble than it is worth.

Acaipure is a fraud they took 79.90 out of my Account and when I told them I had sent my product back they are like we do not no where it is even after they have the tracking number that I sent them they still do not belive that I sent it in and Andrea said until you we get the product you will not get your money back I feel Ophra should be ashamed to be associated with this company, all they are is a big liar and they like to take peoples money out of thier banks and then screw them over big time. I guess we all learned a big lesson with this company they suck big time.Cindy in Texas

I to as all of the above fell for this lie but I was given a total different number to cancel for another company that selss products but I did come across the companys number [protected] to cancel anymore orders and she informed me that she seen I had called yesterday and talk to Nick to cancel my order...I NEVER called yesterday to cancel it because I just got the number today so I will be calling my bank and they will NOT get anymore money out of me.They apperently are a scam because Ihad nothing in my order telling me anywhere to call or a web page to cancel at anytime! Well the word is getting out and I am sure if we can figure out the right people to contact in our states they will put a stop to it. Hmmm wonder if my Senetor would or could help out? I agree the product DOESNT work at all!

I realized after the first order in January that I couldn't afford $44 per bottle. I called to cancel the order in February, but failed to return the bottle. My husband has been very ill and we've had to make several trips to doctors and twice to Boston Hospitals. I called today, June 17th, to get information on mailed the now 6 bottles and to get my credit card adjusted. When I finally got through to a real person, I asked for a manager and was told I was talking with a floor supervisor and that's as good as I was going to get. He repeatedly told me I could only mail 1 bottle back and would be credited for only that one bottle. I explained that I had canceled my order in February but continued to receive the bottled and my credit card was billed $44 per month. I tryed to explain that I needed to mail the unopened bottles back and get my credit card adjusted, but he kept repeating the same thing. I will never do business ON LINE EVER AGAIN. It's always a nightmare getting a real person on the phone and no one ever answers an email.

I want this service cancelled! I have called the [protected] several times without success. I have three bottles of this crap and no RMA number so I cannot return the unopened bottles...what a racket!
If I don't get a response to this complaint in 3 days I will be contacting the State regulatory commissions for both Indiana and Arizona.

I am another that was duped by this product and company. I cancelled immediately as it made me sick. I received verification that my order was cancelled. Three weeks later, they charged my account 39.95. Same info on the charge as when I ordered the sample and they are telling me they did not charge my account, it must have been some other company.
The charges go through Florida, the product ships from Arizona. I think if they are skipping around like that, they are crooks.
I had to have my card cancelled to prevent further charges and since it was a debit card, the bank is investigating.

AcaiPure uses deceitful practices. I thought I was just paying for s&h a 1.95 to just try out the product. All the products I tryed before this you just pay for the s&h you don't have to send back the unused portion. But because I didn't see the small print on returning their unused portion AcaiPure did charge me the full price of $39.95. When I called to cancel my order before my trail day was up the salesperson did not mention that I had to return the unused portion or I will be charge the full price. AciPure used deceptive practices banking on people not reading the small print because normally you don't send back the unused portion.

I tried to cancel this order the day after I made it on 5/13/09 and was told I could not cancel until I received it and sent it back - I did send it back and they still charged me on my account and tell me I will be refunded in my account and I am still waiting for confirmation of it!

Good morning to all of us that trusted Acaipure. Did any body get their money back? I sopke with a very rude clerk. Why if acaipure debt you(our) account for the cost does it take them week to electrinically place your money back in your account? They took it in a second why not replace it in the same manner. Man I wish I had seen these before my daughter ordered this stuff! While it appears to work, the "fine print" scam caught her off guard. It is like pulling teeth to get the charges to stop...all this while you can get things as good locally for 75% less investment wise! Opra needs to mention this and we need some kind of intervention here. I am soooo sick and tired of not being able to trust anything anymore. The almighty dollar has totally clouded this nations vision to the point that morals are non-existent!

I was scammed just like the rest of you. I ordered the trial for AcaiPure at the end of December 2008 and received the shipment 2/11/09. I called on 2/16/09 to cancel my membership because I no longer thought I should be spending $40 a month on AcaiPure. Customer service told me that they would cancel any future orders and to return the trial package of AcaiPure to them once I received an RMA via email. As all of you can guess, I never received the email but I did get charged 39.95 for the trial bottle. Then the next month I received a 2nd bottle of AcaiPure and was charged 39.95. I called them again and was told the same thing as last time but they also told me to call their billing department to cancel future billing (and not very nicely either). I talked to Kevin and he said he would take me off billing. Did that happen? NO! Instead I received a 3rd bottle and was charged for that one at 44.90. This time when I called I had to leave a message but never received a call back. Fortunately I did not see another charge on my next statement nor receive any product. However, I cancelled my membership before the 30 days and I believe I an entitled to a full refund of $123.90. But no, they said it was my fault for not calling their customer service people and then their billing people.

I ordered the AcaiPure trial for 14 days. i cancelled the offer within a week of getting the pills. I called and spoke to one the reps. named Christina. I told her that i wanted to cancel my trial offer and she said k. I asked her if there was anything else I needed to do and she told me and that I would not be billed for anything else. That was in May. Now It's June and I looked at my bank acct, and there was a charge for $39.95 for acaipure. I called the number and the lady told me that even though I cancelled my order I was still going to be billed $ 39.95 and that She could only give me a $15.00 Credit back. So now I'm going to file a report with the BBB and get my money back. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE.

THEY TELL YOU YOU WILL RECIEVE A FREE TRIAL AND IF YOU DON'T CANCEL WITHIN 14 DAYS YOU WILL CONTINUE TO RECIEVE FURTHER SHIPMENTS AND CONTINUE TO BE BILLED. i CANCELLED 3 DAYS AFTER RECIEVING PRODUCT AND WAS TOLD THAT WAS ALL I HAD TO DO. THEN 3 WEEKS LATER THEY TOOK $60.43 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT, UNAUTHORIZED AND SAID I WAS SUPPOSED TO RETURN THE PRODUCT WITHIN 30 DAYS AND BY THIS TIME THEY NEED THE PRODUCT IN TWO DAYS OR I OWE THE MONEY. HA HA DON'T TRY IT. BOTTUM LINE IS IT DOESN'T WORK AND YOU WILL OWE BIG TIME.

DON'T ORDER THE TRIAL OFFER! It's a scam...my checking acct was just charged $59.95. I called [protected], spoke to Britany who claims to be a supervisor, told her I did not authorize this, etc. She said it is in the Terms and Agreement section, when you enter the 3 digit code from the back of you card, it shows up in that area. I told her I did not see that area...she said "Yes you did". This charge is for that bottle they sent...that they said was $4.95...if you don't send it back within 14 days, this is what it costs...I said, OK, it's never been opened, I will send it back. She said "It doesn't matter if you do or not, that charge is not being removed" I said I wanted to speak to someone else and get some cooperation and she said "YOU WILL NOT RECIEVE ANY COOPERATION!"...So, there you have it...once again, customer service and full discolsure at its finest. I said I would contact the Atty. Gen Office, any consumer group I can find and Oprah. Maybe it is time for Oprah to get back to basics and stop hawking these products until she knows the other side. Maybe she should do a show on scams! Brittany responded "you can contact anyone you want, this charge will never be credited to your account!

I too did the same thing, and have been charged multiple times. I wish I would have seen the complaint boards before ordering all of these products and paying for them at a charge of $89.80. I have had to close my credit card in order for them to stop taking money out.

Is there a class action suit I can get on. I hired a lawyer today for over $500 in charges to my account and my credit card company after 4 months will not cover because they contend it was my fault even though I never recieved the products.

This is the biggest scam I have ever seen! Dont buy this crap. It says it will work, but they lie threw their teeth. I payed shipping and handling of 4.99 I tried the product for 2 weeks and nothing happend. So I canceled my membership and said I do not want anymore of the product and I asked if I would be billed later and thye said "NO, " I checked my account balance today and they had taken 79.99 from me so I called and the dumb ### told me that it says in the terms and conditions that we will bill you later on if you cancel your membership and when I went to check the terms and conditions it will not even pull up on the screen and they will not return any of my money. What a load of crap this company is! Do NOT try this product you will lose your hard earned money and will not see any changes that they claim will happen.

I MADE THE CALL TO THEIR CUSTOMER CARE LINE THAT I GOT FROM THE LADY ON COMPLAINT PAGE #2, WHEN THE PERSON CAME ON SHE ASKS U FOR YOUR NAME AND OTHER INFO TO BRING U UP ON THE COMPUTER. I IMEDIATLY WENT ON THE OFFENSIVE! I FIRST EXPLAINED THAT OUR CONVERSATION WAS BEING RECORDED, TRUST ME HERE, THERE WILL BE A PAUSE WHILE THEY DIGEST THIS! MY LADY SAID THAT IT WAS OK AND THANKS FOR ASKING. I EXPLAINED THAT THIS WAS SO NO ONE COULD SAY THE OTHER SAID SOMTHING THEY DIDNT. ACCORDIND TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER COMPLAINER THIS IS WHAT THEY TRIED TO DO TO HER. I PROCEEDED TO EXPLAIN MY PROBLEM, WICH TRUST ME, MIMMICS MOST OF YOURS AND SHE TRIED TO STOP ME IN MID STRIDE, DONT LET THEM STOP U! TELL THEM U R NOT FINISHED AND THEY WILL HAVE THEIR TURN AT BAT. THIS KEEPS THEM ON THE DEFENSIVE. AFTER I EXPLAINED WHAT MY COMPLAINT WAS ( HAVE YOUR SPEECH READY LADIES) THEN I PROCEEDED TO TELL THEM WHAT I HAD ALREADY DONE ABOUT MY PROBLEM AND THEN WHAT THEY WERE GOING TO DO TO FIX IT. I TOLD THEM THAT I HAD CONTACTED MY CREDIT CARD PEOPLE AND TOLD THEM WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND THAT THEY HAD CHANGED MY CREDIT CARD #'S, (THIS SENDS THEM AN INSTANT MESSAGE THAT THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS MY ACCOUNT ANY LONGER) THAT THE C.C. PEOPLE WERE SENDING ME A FRAUD FORM TO FILL OUT. AND THAT THEY WERE GOING TO PUT ME ON A CONFERANCE CALL WITH CORPERATE (WHICH IS WHO DOES THE FRAUD INVESTIGATIONS) SO THAT I COULD FIRST HAND TELL THEM WHAT HAPPENED AND TELL THEM ABOUT THE COMPLAINT SITE AND THE 14 PAGES OF COMPLAINTS I HAD READ. THEN I TOLD HIM I HAD CONTACTED THE BETTER B. B. AND THEY ALSO WERE SENDING ME A FRAUD FORM, AND THEN I TOLD THEM THAT I HAD CALLED THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AND THEY WERE DOING LIKE WISE. I ALSO TOLD THEM I WAS CONTACTING MY LIFE LONG ATTORNEY WHICH SO HAPPENS TO BE A DISTRICT COURT JUDGE OF WYANDOTTE CO. IN KANSAS, AND HE WOULD BE HAPPY TO HELP OUT! THE FIRST THING SHE WANTED TO DO WAS TELL ME THAT ALL SHE COULD DO WAS REFUND ME $20.00, I SAID NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I SAID U WILL GIVE ME BACK ALL MY MONY EVEN IF I HAVE TO RENT A BILL BOARD ALONG I-35 HIGHWAY AND TELL THE WHOLE OF UNITED STATES WHAT FRAUDS AND SCAM ARTISTS THEY WERE! SHE THEN SAID THAT SHE MIGHT BE ABLE TO PUSH BACK THE DATE OF MY FREE TRIAL AND AND THEN ISSUE ME A REFUND BUT SHE WOULD NEED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR AND GET HIS PERMISSION, I SAID ASK AWAY! OK PEOPLE THEY MUST THINK WE ALL HAVE JUST FALLEN OFF THE TURNIP TRUCK! U WOULD THINK THAT IT WOULD TAKE HER AT LEAST 5 MINUTES TO TELL THE SUPERVISOR THE STORY, YES- NOPE, BECAUSE ALL SHE DID WAS HAND HIM THE PHONE AND I WAS INSTANTLY TALKING TO HIM! HOW AMAZING!THEY MUST HAVE ESP! PLEASE FOLKS THEY DO THIS ALL DAY LONG, THEY KNOW ALL THE STOPS, SO DONT BE WEAK, STAND YOUR GROUND AND DONT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER! I BRIEFLY SPARRED WITH HIM AND HE TRIED TO MUMBO JUMBO ME BUT I REPEATED ALL TO HIM I HAD SAID PRIOR, HE DID NOT LIKE IT ONE BIT, NO, NOT ONE BIT! THEY DONT WANT THIS LADIES, THEY CANNOT HAVE ALL THIS REPORTING GOING ON, IT JEPORDIZES THEIR SCAM. THIS MAN WAS PISSED AT ME AND WAS READY TO GIVE ME HIS FIRST BORN CHILD TO GET RID OF ME! HE SAID THAT IF I GAVE HIM A VERBAL PROMISE THAT I WOULD CALL ALL THE SAID FOR-MENTIOND HE WOULD PUT THE CHARGES BACK ON MY CARD! I SAID, SIR I WOULD BE MOST HAPPY TO CALL ALL THOS PEOPLE AND TELL THEM THAT U TOOK CARE OF ME BUT NOT A SECONED BEFOR I SEE THOSE CHARGES BACK ON MY CARD! HE SAID MAM, ITS ALREADY BEEN DONE, NOW DONT EVER CALL US AGAIN BECAUSE WE HAVE PUT A BLOCK ON YOUR NAME. I SAID AS IF! I CALLED THE C.C. POEPLE AND ASKED IF BEING ISSUED A NEW CARD WOULD KEEP THEM FROM PUTTING THE MONEY BACK IN MY ACCOUNT, THEY SAID IT SHOULDNT, BUT IT COULD TAKE UO TO 30 DAYS BEFOR IT SHOWS UP. PEOPLE IT WAS POSTED ONTO MY ACCOUNT IN 2 DAYS! NOW, DID I CALL ALL THOSE PEOPLE AND DO WHAT I SAID I WOULD DO? NO NEED TO, I NEVER CALLED THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE! BUT THEY DIDNT KNOW THIS! WELL, EXCEPT THE C.C. PEOPLE, AND I DID CALL THEM! AND I NEVER EVER SAID I WOULDNT SAY ANYTHING TO YOU ALL! U MUST REMEMBER ONE THING THO GUYS, THEY ARE RECORDING U ALSO, SO STAY CALM, COOL AND COLLECTED. DO NOT CUSS OR LOSE YOUR TEMPER WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE FROFFESINAL SCAM ARTISTS AND WILL TRY TO TWIST YOUR WORD ALL TO HELL! SO PRACTICE FIRST WHAT U ARE GOING TO SAY AND ALL THE LUCK TO YOU! EVEN IF U ONLY LOST $10.00, THATS WAY TO MUCH!
