I was a client of Access-VR since 2020, sometime in August of 2023 I find out that I was discharged without notice. My counselor was Elizabeth Rivera, she was great, lenient, professional and extremely helpful. Unfortunately she retired sometime in March or April of this year. I never received anything from access-vr indicating a new counselor, when I called they explained I was discharged because they haven't heard from me. (This was from the supervisor Ms. Suazo and her assistant).
I have one more semester left and they are making me reapply and submit documents all over again. I explained ed everything is still the same. I missed out on starting fall semester so I will have to see what happens next.
I complied and submitted the requested forms and Now I have a new counselor by the name of Janis Chapin. She is very rude, aggressive, and belitting. She felt the need to tell me to apply again later because she feels that I am too busy. I don't understand who she is to think she can tell people if they can apply or not. She hung up on me after the fact. ( also considering I never received documents on who was my counselor or that I even had appointments) so currently they have me listed for missing two appointments that I never received appointment letters for.
I tried reaching out to Ms.Dibise, Ms. Suazo and the director Maria Vasquez to put a complaint and request a counselor change and not one person has reached out. Access vr needs new workers who do not lack professionalism and empathy. Shut down or rectify your work habits!
Desired outcome: To receive my final help for my last semester without jumping through hoops, and for workers to be held accountable for their errors and putting extra stress kn me.
