Accredited Collection Service I made a settlement with Accredited Collection Service, Inc

I made a settlement with Accredited Collection Service, Inc. but they didn't stick to the agreement. I gave them my card details and 2 hours later they called to say they wouldn't honor it. I filed a complaint with the Nebraska *** and the ***. I've tried everything to resolve this debt, but now I'm looking for legal assistance.

Accredited Collection Service Jamie from ACS contacted me about hospital bills from 2019

Jamie from ACS contacted me about hospital bills from 2019. I couldn't afford the payment plan the hospital offered and didn't qualify for financial help. She said they left me multiple messages, but I only found ONE call from them in May. I told her what I could pay, but she said it wasn't acceptable because I've been uncooperative and unresponsive. She insisted I pay $435 a month or face a judgment and garnishment. I explained I couldn't afford that and it would mean sacrificing my medication. She asked when I could set up post-dated payments for $435. I was in tears and told her I didn't have my debit card with me and would have to get it on my break at 4:30 or 5. She said she worked until 4 and expected me to call her back before then, ignoring the fact that I'm also at work and could get in trouble for leaving my area. I know I owe this debt and that you're trying to collect, but please understand it's MEDICAL debt and many of us are still dealing with serious medical issues. Now I have to choose between paying rent, getting insulin, or getting my necessary autoimmune treatments just to pay this money. If I had $435 a month, I could have paid before it came to this. Being professional doesn't mean putting our health at risk. Show some compassion. We're doing our best.

Accredited Collection Service One of the staff at ACS contacted me a week ago and we had a similar discussion like the one mentioned in the review

One of the staff at ACS contacted me a week ago and we had a similar discussion like the one mentioned in the review. The only option she offered was for me to pay over 200 bucks a month, but I declined. However, she said they would send me a final notice to pay the full amount, even though I explained how difficult that would be. The bill is for $1756.25 from Nebraska medicine. Then I received the notice on 08/02. It said, "Please send us your balance or contact our office so that we can come to an agreement." So, I called them today, 8/9. I'm not sure if I got the staff member's name right, but it sounded like CJ. She told me the amount I owed and asked why I called. I told her I called to make a "mutually agreeable arrangement," using their words from the notice. She replied that there would be no such arrangement. I must pay the full amount. I mentioned that their current notice states I should contact their office to discuss an agreement. She then explained how I had missed payments. In June , I paid less than the agreed $30 a month, and in July, my card declined. I told her I had no knowledge of that. Additionally, I received no notification from them about the declined payment. She said it was my responsibility to check with my bank or cards and ensure my debts are being paid. She compared herself to me, implying that I was irresponsible. She claimed she always checks every month to make sure her debts are paid. That made me angry, and I told her she had no basis for such a comparison. Other agencies send multiple written notifications, make phone calls, and leave voice messages, which takes time. It's helpful because it reminds us and we take responsibility. She argued that it was still my responsibility, as they are not a billing agency. If I don't pay in full, they will proceed with a judgment against me and possibly garnish my wages. She said my issue is now with their attorney. I acknowledged my debt, although I don't understand how it got so high. However, I felt she was being inhumane in her approach. She denied it, claiming she was only telling the truth. We argued about whether she was being inhumane or not. If this is what the law protects, it's disgusting. How can I afford to pay such a large amount? I have a family, other bills, and debts. I'm a student. But they show no sympathy. I am willing to pay, I haven't refused. But they want to force me or frustrate me, and she says that's not inhumane? I explained why I didn't know about the declined payment, which means I never intentionally stopped paying. It also shows I had financial difficulties, but they turned a deaf ear and claim they're not inhumane.
