On the 28th of October 2023 I had purchased a couple of items at the Kenilworth centre store including Barbie flip flops. Within 2 hours of the purchase my 5 years old daughter tried the flops on and Within less than 15 minutes of wearing them she rushed into my room crying as the flip flops had scared a cut under her foot. She is unable to walk on the one foot as a result of the cut. I had to take time off my work and attend to the wound.
I called the Kenilworth store on the 29th October 2023 and the manager who took my call did not even apologize or acknowledge the issue. Instead she referred me to customer care call center provind me an incorrect contact number.
After searching the number on Google, I managed to get through to someone who was unwilling to assist and referred me to send an email.
This item is dangerous to kids and should be recalled. I need to be compensated for the stress and my unpaid time off work as I have to stay with my daughter for MOnday and Tuesday as she is unable to attend school due to the cut under her foot. Please attend to this matter with urgency as I will be escalating this to the media and ombudsman.
