ACO Rent a Car: A Fraudulent Company That Will Do Anything to Rip You Off
I can't believe ACO Rent a Car is still operating! They should have their license taken away! We had such a terrible experience with them. We had to call multiple times before their shuttle finally arrived at the airport, and it was already an hour late. When we finally got to their lot, they tried to charge us over $100 more than what we were quoted. I showed them the email I received that clearly stated the amount we were supposed to pay upon delivery, but they refused to honor it. They claimed that the price had changed and that they couldn't do anything about it. This is completely unacceptable! Their website claims that there are "no hidden costs" and "no fine print," but that's a total lie. They are a fraudulent company that will do anything to rip you off.
We were so disappointed with their service that we decided to have them take us back to the airport instead of renting a car from them. I refuse to give my business to a company that operates in such a dishonest way. I would strongly advise anyone looking to rent a car to avoid ACO Rent a Car at all costs. They are not to be trusted!
ACO Rent a Car Review: Hidden Fees, Poor Customer Service, and False Advertising
I recently rented a car from ACO Rent a Car through their website, acorentacar.com. I was excited to pick up my rental car from their Fort Lauderdale location, but unfortunately, my experience was not what I expected. When I arrived, I was shocked to find out that there were hidden fees that were not disclosed during the online booking process. This turned my $18/day rental into a $53/day rental, which was not within my budget.
To make matters worse, the ACO Rent a Car location did not open until 8:30am, which was 2.5 hours after their advertised opening time. This caused a lot of frustration for me and other families who were also waiting for their rental cars. The customer service was terrible, and the staff did not seem to care about our concerns. When I asked why they were not open at 6am as advertised, the staff member replied with a rude comment and told me to leave if I didn't like it.
I was extremely disappointed with my experience with ACO Rent a Car. I wish I had read the reviews before renting from them. I would not recommend this company to anyone, as it seems like a scam. Thankfully, I was able to rent a car from a reputable rental company at the airport, which made my trip much smoother.
ACO RENT A CAR: Affordable, Reliable, and Best Car Rental in Miami!
ACO RENT A CAR - BEST CAR RENTAL IN MIAMI!
I love to travel, so I need a comfortable and reliable car rental service. Recently, I visited Miami, and as you know, Miami is a vast city, and you need a car to travel around. So, I decided to rent a car from acorentacar.com. ACO RENT A CAR is a well-known car rental company that has recently started its services in Miami.
I must say that ACO RENT A CAR is the best car rental company I have ever used in Miami. They have a brand new fleet of cars, and their customer service is excellent. The best part is that they offer the most affordable car rental rates in the entire Miami Airport area. You won't find a better deal anywhere else.
The process of renting a car from ACO RENT A CAR is straightforward. You can book your car online, and they will have it ready for you when you arrive at the airport. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they will guide you through the entire process.
I rented a car from ACO RENT A CAR for a week, and I had no issues with the car. It was clean, well-maintained, and drove smoothly. I was able to travel around Miami comfortably and without any problems.
If you're planning a trip to Miami, I highly recommend renting a car from ACO RENT A CAR. They offer the best car rental rates, excellent customer service, and a brand new fleet of cars. You won't regret it!
ACO Rent a Car Review: Poor Customer Service and Sun Pass Scam
I gotta say, I ain't too thrilled with ACO Rent a Car. When we got to the spot where we were supposed to meet the shuttle to take us to our ride in Orlando, we were supposed to call their office. But let me tell ya, we called and called and nobody picked up. We even had another shuttle company try to call and they got no answer either. After waitin' around for an hour, someone finally answered and sent the shuttle.
When we finally got our car, they made us pay for a sun pass in case we went through any tolls. But they told us we'd get credited if we didn't use any tolls. Well, we didn't use any tolls and when we got back home, we waited over a month for the credit to show up. But it never did. I finally got in touch with the company and they straight up told me there wouldn't be a credit. That's a pretty good scam if you ask me.
I reckon y'all should read the reviews before messin' with this company.
Disappointing Experience with Economy Bookings Rental Car and ACO Rent a Car Office
I made a reservation with Economy Bookings a month before my trip. I was excited to explore the city with my rental car. I even purchased full coverage insurance and had my voucher ready to go. However, when I arrived at the ACO Rent a Car office, I was disappointed to find a small "shed" with no one there. I had to talk to someone on a monitor to get my rental car. It was quite an unusual experience for me.
After providing my information under a camera, the man in the box informed me that I needed to put $1000 on hold to ensure that I returned the car in the same condition and with the same amount of gas. I was surprised because I thought that's what insurance was for. I have rented cars for almost 40 years, and I have never encountered anything like this before. It was quite frustrating.
To make matters worse, I was also told that I had to pay for "Sunpass," which I didn't need for my trip. However, the man in the box said that I had "no choice." I'm 61 years old, and I have never been forced to pay for something I didn't need. It was quite an unpleasant experience.
I strongly advise you not to use this "business." They are terrible. I decided to take an Uber back to the airport and rent from a "real" company. I had zero issues with the other rental car company and had a great time exploring the city.
Beware of ACO Rent a Car and Michigan Car and Van Rental: A Scam Review
I recently reserved a car with ACO Rent a Car on May 18th. They told me that I could pick up the car at two different locations: one at DTW and the other at a car rental in Warren, MI. I thought it was strange, so I wanted to call and make sure where I was supposed to pick up the car. When I called, they told me that the car was provided by Michigan Car and Van Rental. I called them, but they didn't have any record of my reservation. I was put on hold three different times before a woman representing Michigan Car and Van Rental answered. She was very rude and didn't seem to care about my situation. She told me that she didn't need a confirmation number, just my name and date of arrival. I was shocked by her cold and callous attitude.
After that experience, I decided to contact ACO Rent a Car directly. I called both of their numbers, but one of them was busy and the other went straight to voicemail. I was starting to get worried. To make matters worse, I didn't receive an email confirmation from ACO Rent a Car. All of these "red flags" made me suspicious, so I decided to call my credit union to stop the transaction. Unfortunately, it was too late. I had already been scammed.
It's frustrating to think that there are businesses out there that are willing to take advantage of people. ACO Rent a Car and Michigan Car and Van Rental are not legitimate businesses. They don't care about their customers and they don't provide good service. If you're looking for a reliable car rental company, I suggest looking elsewhere. Don't make the same mistake I did.
ACO Rent a Car: A Nightmare Experience - Beware!
So, me and my family were looking for a rental car after we got off our flight. We saw a sign that said Economy for $133.00 and we thought that was a pretty good deal. We had never heard of Economy before, but we figured it couldn't be that bad. When we got to the rental car area at the Miami airport, we couldn't find Economy anywhere. Someone outside told us to go to the left and we saw a shuttle that said Economy on it. The driver dropped us off outside a gate and told us to go inside. When we got inside, we saw a sign that said ACO.
I told the guy at the counter that we had reservations with Economy, but he said he didn't see it. I asked him if this was Economy and he said no, it was ACO. I was confused because the shuttle had said Economy on it. The guy told me that he could give me a better price than Economy and asked to see my ID and credit card. He said the price would be $113.00, which was even better than the price we had seen for Economy. I was excited until he told me that they charged $23.00 a day for insurance unless we wanted to use our own insurance and put down a $600.00 deposit. If we used their insurance, it would be a $100.00 deposit. They wouldn't give us the car without making us pay for their insurance.
I was shocked and didn't know what to do. I asked him where Economy was and he said it was across the street. I went outside with our luggage and it was so hot in Miami. I couldn't find Economy anywhere, so I went back inside. The guy smiled and said he thought it was the building across the street, but they had moved. I was so angry and frustrated that I just told him to rent us the car. I had never been through anything like this before. The insurance cost more than the car itself.
This was the most expensive rental car I have ever paid for and it was the worst experience of my life. I never write reviews, but I had to tell my experience. I would advise anyone to run far, far away from ACO Rent a Car.
ACO Rent a Car Review: Overcharging, Poor Condition Car, and Unhelpful Staff
They tried to charge me $100 more than what Economy Bookings said I'd owe upon arrival. I had to speak to a man on a screen inside of a kiosk. He kept insisting that the quote was through a third party and that they did not have to honor that quote. Then he tried to tell me that my insurance would not cover this rental. But I'd contacted my car insurance in advance, and they said it was covered. Aco wanted me to buy THEIR insurance. I refused. So they wanted to hold a $1000 deposit! I again refused and threatened to call the police because they were committing fraud and to contact the Better Business Bureau. So they reduced the fee to $40 over the quote and held $500 instead--but then they wanted to charge me $18 for a Sunpass. I knew I did not need one. All I planned to do was drive from my Airbnb to the back 5 miles per day--so I called them out on this scam as well. The man on the screen kept insisting, so I asked for the shuttle to take me back to the airport where I'd rent from a different company and write a negative review of them online. So he agreed to let me go without the Sunpass. They also tried to get me to sign a contract without first seeing it! I refused. The contract isn't even real, it turns out. It's a receipt.
My car was several years old. I had to purchase a device to hold up my phone so I could program the GPS on it. There were nicks and scratches all over the car, and the seats inside were stained and torn. It was pouring raining on my drive to my Airbnb, and the windshield wipers were useless. I could not see. I had to get off the highway and drive slowly on back roads. On my final day with the car, the hatch kept acting like it was going to blow off on the highway. The car and the steering wheel shook when I drove over 45 mph. When returning the car, I ran into another very unhappy customer. Turns out they were charged $100 more than the quote listed on another third-party web site. I'm glad I didn't let them get away with it. Guess what though, halfway into the transaction, I began to record the conversation on video with my iPhone. I have it as backup should they try anything.
Overall, my experience with ACO Rent a Car was not a good one. The man on the screen was not helpful and tried to charge me more than what I was quoted. The car was old and in poor condition, and I had to purchase a device to hold up my phone for GPS. The windshield wipers were useless in the rain, and the car shook when driving over 45 mph. I also ran into another unhappy customer who was charged more than what they were quoted. It's important to be aware of these issues when renting from ACO Rent a Car.
ACO Rent a Car Review: Poor Service, Dirty Car, and Unsafe Conditions for Children
When I arrived at ACO Rent a Car, I called to get picked up at the airport. They told me it would be 15 minutes, but I ended up waiting over 40 minutes. I even called before acquiring my luggage, but I still had to wait 40 minutes outside for the shuttle. Once I arrived, it took another 30 minutes just to find my reservation. After that, I was told they had no mini van, which was what I had requested in advance. They tried to take a $1000 deposit to rent a car, but I had not been informed of this when I ordered online. I requested to be taken back to the airport to rent elsewhere, but they dropped the deposit to $100. I agreed to this because it had been hours and my 10-month-old daughter was past her bedtime and cranky.
They insisted on putting me in a Nissan Rogue, but I said it wouldn't be big enough since we had luggage, a stroller, and a wheelchair. After filling up the Nissan Rogue, the car was full from trunk to back, but the car seat for my daughter couldn't fit in the back. The person at the desk insisted on us leaving with my daughter on my wife's lap in the front seat. I have video of this.
I requested to speak to a supervisor, but was told he wasn't available. After refusing to leave with my daughter on my wife's lap, the guy finally said we could switch to a mini van. Once in the mini van, I requested the baby car seat again, and he finally brought it out. I asked him to install it since I am in a wheelchair and cannot do it, and my wife wasn't familiar with the particular car seat. Of course, he had no idea how to do it, so he insisted on my wife holding the seat in place.
After about 2 hours, we finally decided to leave because we weren't getting anywhere with this person. The car had an empty tank, so after all this, I still had to get gas. Once at the gas station, we asked a nice gentleman to help us out and install the car seat for us.
On the way to the hotel, which was 15 minutes away, my daughter started screaming in the car for some reason. Once we got to the hotel, we noticed rashes all over her neck, arms, and legs. We figured it was stress hives. The next day, it happened again, so we realized it must be the car seat. We decided to wash it, and once washed, my daughter was fine. Not washing baby car seats is unacceptable!
During the day, I could finally see the kind of shape this car was in. News flash: this car was not clean or serviced after the previous renter. There was food all over, sticky black liquid in the cup holders, the lights barely worked unless on the high beam setting, the defrosters did not work, and the windshield wipers needed to be replaced. I literally couldn't see in the morning during the rain and had to wait the rain out as defrosters didn't work, and I couldn't drive with windows down.
The day after we landed in Orlando, I called the office looking to speak with a supervisor. The first time I spoke with a woman, and after 15 minutes of explaining everything, she said the supervisor would contact me. The next day, no one contacted me, so I decided to call back. A gentleman picked up, and once again, after explaining everything, I was told the supervisor would contact me. The next day, the same scenario. Fast forward 3 days, and I am back in Jersey still waiting on this call.
Beware of ACO Rent a Car: Hidden Fees and Long Shuttle Waits
ACO Rent a Car is a company that you should be careful with. They will charge you more than you think, and you may have to wait a long time for the airport shuttle. This company has an F rating from the Better Business Bureau, which should tell you something about their business practices.
I reserved a car with ACO through Kayak, and I was quoted $34. However, I was charged $57 when I arrived. Of this additional amount, $20 was a fee for declining loss damage waiver (LDW), which is an insurance that rental companies charge to cover damages to the car. I have never heard of being charged for declining LDW, and I consider this a hidden fee and an unfair business practice. The people at the counter said this was an additional service, but it's not a service, and it's not additional if everyone has to pay something more. The people at the counter provided a copy of their rental policy, which says that if you use your own insurance or a third party insurance, you will be charged a recovery damage fee per day. However, this does not specify the amount, is not linked from the Kayak site, and requires way more reading than is fair to expect when booking a car.
I had a previous reservation from Orbitz for $47.96, which I canceled in favor of this Kayak reservation. I ended up paying more and going off-airport. By the time I got to the rental counter and was told about the fee, there was nothing I could do because a last-minute car rental with anyone else would have cost more.
If you were to rent through ACO's website, the story would not be much better. They quote you a price, and if you click on LDW, the price goes up $23. Only if you click on a link to their lengthy rental policy would you see that you will be charged $10/day if you don't pay them the $23 per day.
When I was at the counter, another family had the exact same problem I had, and also said they were seasoned travelers and had never heard of anything like this before. Another person at the counter also had some problem with hidden insurance-related fees, though I didn't understand exactly what they were saying.
As a side note, ACO is a bit more than 4 miles from the airport and from what I could tell only runs one shuttle. I waited for a shuttle for about 10 minutes when I got there (which isn't horrible) and about 20 minutes when I returned the car. Someone else said they waited a half hour at the airport for a pickup. So, even if you end up saving some money with ACO, you would still be getting what you pay for.
ACO Rent a Car Complaints 11
ACO Rent a Car: Dishonest and Untruthful Practices
I rented a car from ACO Rent a Car on March 21st. They charged me $200 plus a $600 deposit, which was a lot of money all at once. I had a credit card, but they told me that I would also have to pay $25 for tolls. Now they are trying to charge my credit card even more money, so I had to block their charges. I think they are dishonest and not truthful.
Disastrous Experience with ACO Rent a Car: Dirty, Unsafe, and Unprofessional
i rented a car from aco rent a car and it was a total disaster. first of all, the car was not clean at all. there were crumbs all over the seats and the floor was dirty. i had to clean it myself before i could even sit in it. secondly, the car was not in good condition. the brakes were squeaking and the steering wheel was shaking. it was a scary experience driving it.
when i returned the car, the staff was not friendly at all. they were rude and unprofessional. they charged me extra for a scratch on the car that was already there when i rented it. i tried to explain this to them but they didn't listen.
i would not recommend aco rent a car to anyone. there are plenty of other car rental services out there that are much better. save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.
ACO Rent a Car Review: Not Worth the Hassle, Go with a Reliable Company Instead
I gotta tell ya, ACO Rent a Car is not the way to go. First off, they ain't even at the airport, so you gotta figure out how to get to their location. And even when you do finally get there, they ain't gonna give you the car you paid for. Nope, they'll just hand you whatever they feel like and hope you don't notice. And if that ain't bad enough, they'll try to rip you off for every little thing they can. Trust me, it ain't worth the hassle. Spend a little extra and go with a company you can actually count on.

ACO Rent a Car: Lack of Insurance Transparency Disappoints
So, I was looking for a rental car and stumbled upon ACO Rent a Car. At first, I was pretty excited because their website looked pretty legit. But then, I ran into a problem. I couldn't find any information about the insurance they accept. I mean, come on, that's pretty important, right?
I called them up and asked if they accepted my insurance from Country Financial. And guess what? They said no. I was pretty bummed out because I've been with Country Financial for a while now and they've always been great.
So, I had to go with one of the "popular" insurance companies that ACO Rent a Car accepts. And let me tell you, it cost me a pretty penny.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend ACO Rent a Car. They need to be more transparent about the insurance they accept. It's just not cool to leave customers in the dark like that.
Terrible Experience with ACO Rent a Car: Deceptive Policies and Unreasonable Fees
ACO Rent a Car is the worst car rental place I've ever been to. They're a bunch of liars! They say you need your original insurance card to rent a car, but they won't accept a fax copy. What a bunch of bull! And if you don't have your original insurance card, they'll let you use theirs for an extra $23.00 a day. That's just plain robbery! I'll never rent from them again!
ACO Rent a Car Review: Poor Customer Service and Lack of Directions Outside Miami Airport
I had a pretty bad experience with ACO Rent a Car. First off, there were no clear directions on how to get to their "offsite" location outside of Miami airport. I had to ask some random employee at the airport who told me to call the number provided for service. I tried calling the number (which was ***790) multiple times, but each time I got a recording that said "please try again later." I tried for over an hour and still couldn't get through to anyone.
I eventually gave up and booked with another rental agency. I'm not sure if ACO Rent a Car is a fraudulent entity or not, but I did book through Cheapoair and had some issues with them as well. Overall, I would not recommend booking with ACO Rent a Car. The lack of clear directions and inability to get through to customer service was a major inconvenience.
Horrible Experience with ACO Rent a Car in Miami: Rude Employees and Unexpected Charges
I recently rented a car from ACO Rent a Car in Miami and let me tell you, it was a complete disaster. The lady who helped me had absolutely no manners and kept calling me "lady" with a really bad attitude. She kept insisting that I purchase a Sunpass, even though it wasn't mentioned anywhere in my terms and conditions. It was a really frustrating experience and I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone.
To make matters worse, when I arrived at the rental location, I was hit with a bunch of extra charges that I wasn't expecting. It was really frustrating and made me feel like I was being taken advantage of. The employees were also incredibly rude and unhelpful, which only added to my frustration.
Overall, I would say that ACO Rent a Car is a horrible company that you should definitely stay away from. Their employees are rude and unhelpful, and they add in extra charges that you weren't expecting. If you're looking for a car rental company in Miami, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
ACO Rent a Car: A Shady Business with Poor Customer Service and Scam-like Practices
I gotta say, ACO Rent a Car ain't the best company out there. I mean, I was charged a deposit that was supposed to be refundable, but I never got it back. And let me tell you, I tried calling them multiple times to get my money back, but it was like talking to a brick wall. They kept redirecting me to a number that nobody ever picked up, and when I did manage to get through, it was always the same two people answering the phone. And get this, they even pretended to be other people! Like, what kind of shady business is that? So yeah, I wouldn't recommend using this company. It's a total scam, if you ask me.
ACO Rent a Car Review: Hidden Fees, Poor Quality Cars, and Slow Service
ACO Rent a Car is not a good choice for car rental. They may seem like a good deal at first, but they will end up charging you a lot of extra fees. They will quote you a low price, but when you arrive, they will add on a bunch of extras. They will also require you to have certain insurance in order to get a discount. Even though they say that transport to the airport is free, they will still charge you for it.
In addition to the extra fees, the cars they provide are not very good. They are often loud and not as nice as the cars you would drive at home. It's not worth it to rent from ACO Rent a Car when you can get a better car from a rental place right at the airport.
The check-in and check-out process at ACO Rent a Car is also very slow. It takes a long time to get your car and to return it. This can be frustrating if you are in a hurry.
Overall, it's better to spend a few extra dollars and rent from a better car rental company. Don't be fooled by the low prices at ACO Rent a Car - they will end up charging you more in the end.
ACO Rent a Car Review: Scamming Customers with Poor Service and Hidden Fees
I recently had an experience with ACO Rent a Car and unfortunately, it was not a good one. I had reserved a mid-sized car for my trip, but when I arrived at the airport, the representative informed me that the car I reserved was not available. Instead, she offered me a Toyota Yaris with over 130,000 miles on it. I was not happy about this, but I needed a car, so I accepted it.
When we arrived at the rental location, I was shocked at how run-down it looked. It was like something out of a horror movie. The representative then informed me that I needed to purchase Sunpass and liability coverage, which would increase the fee from $135 to almost $600. I was not happy about this and told her that I did not want to pay that much. I asked her to take me back to the airport, but she refused.
I felt like I was being scammed and I did not trust this company at all. I would not recommend renting from them. They are not honest and they do not provide good service. I was very disappointed with my experience and I hope that others can avoid the same situation.
ACO Rent a Car: A Complete Disaster - Terrible Customer Service and Policies
This company is a complete disaster! I can't even begin to describe how terrible my experience was. I had to wait for over an hour for the shuttle to arrive, and when it finally did, it was packed with employees instead of renters. The office was so small that I couldn't even get inside, and to make matters worse, it was pouring rain outside.
When I finally managed to get inside, I was informed that I would be required to purchase liability insurance, even though I had proof of my own insurance and coverage through my credit card. I argued with the staff for what felt like an eternity, but they refused to budge.
In the end, I had no choice but to ask them to take me back to the airport, where I rented a car from a different company. I would never recommend ACO Rent a Car to anyone, and I urge you to stay far away from this company if you value your time and money. Their customer service is non-existent, and their policies are nothing short of a ripoff.
