They will charge you to return products that don't work
I bought a coat and matching rain boots from Acorn and the rain boots were impossible to pull on because the opening was too tight. I discovered that they will charge you to return or exchange an item, even if the item is unusable. I would have tried the next size up, but then they would have charged me twice for returns if the next size up didn't work either. Their customer representative said, "We sent what you ordered. It's not our fault if it doesn't fit."
Recommendation: Beware of buying from this company.
Poor Customer Service from Acorn: My Experience with the Backordered Bird Bath/Feeder
I bought this super cool Verdigris Bird Bath/Feeder from Acorn some time ago and let me tell you, the excitement was real. However, after a week, I got an email saying that the item was "backordered". OK, it happens, right? I waited another 10 days then got another email saying that the item was "no longer available" due to high demand. Disappointing, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt.
Then the next catalog came out, and what do I see? The same item listed as "NEW" and "available". I was ecstatic! So, I placed another order, wait for it... And it happened again. They said the item was "backordered" and not available.
On top of that, they claimed that they hadn't charged my credit card, but they put a "hold" on almost $80. That's just not cool. I had to deal with multiple useless phone calls to their customer service, and it took a while to finally resolve the issue. Ain't nobody got time for that!
Overall, I was not impressed with Acorn's service and won't be buying from them again. It's a shame because I really wanted that item, but it just wasn't meant to be. As a retired Customer Service/Operations Manager with 36 years of experience, I know the importance of good customer service, and unfortunately, Acorn did not deliver.
Poor Customer Service Experience at Acornonline.com
Acornonline.com is the website where I purchased two solar flares valued for 30 bucks each as they are worth $9.99. One of these flares didn't work, and I must tell you that the customer service experience I had was not that much pleasant. When I called the number given in the confirmation email for customer service, a person answered claiming that they only handle sales. He provided me with another number, but it was the wrong one again, and the individual who responds only tracks orders. You can imagine how frustrated I had become at this point.
The sales rep told me that a "specialist" would contact me, and they only have access to my landline number. Besides, when I asked if I could email them instead, they said, "no." Given that I'm not always around my landline, I decided to check Acorn's website and found an email address there. But to no avail, as it turns out that their priority isn't on addressing problems but instead hoping that people like me would give up. But for some people like us, we don't give up easily, do we?
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to upload a pdf, Word document, or even a scan, but I can still vouch for the authenticity of my purchase. Sure enough, the item I received has a problem, but the customer service needs improvement to cater to the needs of people like me who need help but don't have easy access to a landline phone.
Terrible Delivery Experience with Acorn: Package Stuck for 5 Days
So, I decided to order something from Acorn, and was pretty excited when I got the receipt and notification that FedEx was going to be handling delivery. I kept track of it as it made its way closer to me, but it decided to just...stay put for a few days. Like, 3 or 4. I was getting a little concerned at this point, so I figured I'd give Acorn a call. Unfortunately, they basically told me to just wait until the delivery date passed before they could do anything. Which felt...not great. So, I thought I'd give FedEx a try. Except their phone tree thing didn't have any options that would actually let me tell them that my package was just sitting there, not moving. Frustrated, I kept watching as it bounced around from Wisconsin to Florida and then finally back to Indianapolis.
And then, when I called Acorn again to see what was going on, they kept passing me around to different people! I'm pretty sure I already called customer service, but apparently that wasn't enough for them. And the worst part? I STILL don't have my package, which has been stuck in Indianapolis for five whole days now.
Honestly, I don't think I'll be shopping with Acorn again after this experience. It's just been too much of a headache trying to get my order delivered.
Acornonline.com Review: Don't Count on Your Order Arriving on Time
I gotta say, I had some high hopes for Acornonline.com when I saw their catalog. I figured with all the unique and fun gift options they had, I was sure to find something perfect for my Christmas shopping list. But oh boy, did things take a turn for the worse.
I put in my order on the 7th of December, thinking I had plenty of time. But as the days ticked by and I heard nothing about my order's status, I started to get antsy. By the 17th, I decided I needed to take action and called them up to see what was going on. But all I got was some automated message about my order being "escalated" and that it would ship that same day. And what do you think happened? Yup, nada. This repeated on the 19th and 21st - same message, same result.
Finally, on my last call on the 21st, I asked them if I could change the shipping location since I figured my stuff was definitely not arriving by Christmas. But what did they say? "No need, it'll be there on time." Spoiler alert: it wasn't. On the 23rd, I called them one last time, only to be told that it would be arriving 2-3 days after Christmas. At that point, I was beyond frustrated. I mean, how could they have NO idea what was going on with my order?
Needless to say, I won't be using Acornonline.com again. I was really looking forward to those cool gifts I had my eye on, but it's just not worth the hassle.
Acornonline.com Review: Outdated DVDs, Insulting Apparel, Nonexistent Customer Service, Total Scam!
Acornonline.com ain't worth the money, folks. Let me tell you why. They sell DVDs, which are pretty much outdated. I mean, who even uses those anymore? And don't even get me started on their old-fashioned t-shirts and sweatshirts with dumb sayings. That's just insulting to my fashion sense. They even sold a personalized sweatshirt to my grandma with a messed-up saying that didn't make any sense. When we called them up, they didn't wanna help us at all. We spent two whole hours on hold, only to get hung up on! That's just wrong.
This whole thing is a total scam, guys. They don't care about their customers at all. They just wanna take your money and run. They don't give refunds, and they won't even bother fixing their mistakes. And don't even get me started on their customer service. It's non-existent! They don't care about their old customers, and they certainly don't care about their customer service. They're based in Ohio, which is just a scam waiting to happen.
Let me just give you some advice, folks. Don't buy anything from Acornonline.com. They're out to rob the elderly, and they don't care who gets in their way. They send out sale booklets in the mail to sucker old people into buying their junk. Don't fall for it, folks. Save your money and your dignity. Stay far away from Acornonline.com.
Frustrating Experience with Acorn Online: Poor Customer Service & Technical Glitches
I had a pretty frustrating experience shopping on Acorn Online. I spent more than an hour trying to do 2 things; find out if my previous orders had been shipped and try and order something new. To my surprise, things didn't go as smoothly as I expected.
Firstly, I received four different phone numbers and two email addresses to contact the customer service team. That alone was quite confusing. When I tried to call them, it ended up being a nightmare - slow computers which took forever to load, the sound of a barking dog in the background, and some staff did not listen and kept asking me the same questions. It felt like a waste of time trying to explain everything over and over again.
But wait, it gets even worse! When I finally started placing an order, I provided my information including my zip code and state. I got cut off - which was quite frustrating - but decided to order online instead. To my dismay, the system kept changing the size of my item when I reached the checkout page. This was really upsetting.
Although I really love the products that Acorn Online offers, I don't think I'll be ordering from them anytime soon unless their customer service gets better. I reached out to their customer service team via both the email addresses I was provided and I hope to get a convincing response soon. They promised a response time of 24-48 hours, but I'm a bit skeptical and don't know if I can trust them.
Terrible Customer Service and Shipping Issues - My Disappointing Experience with Acorn
I placed a big order on November 14, 2019 with Acorn. I was excited to receive my package, but my excitement quickly turned into confusion when I received an email four days later saying it had been shipped with a FedEx tracking number. However, when I used the number to track my package, it said it had been delivered somewhere else entirely. I was shocked and confused - how could this happen?
I contacted Acorn customer service, hoping they could shed some light on the situation. Unfortunately, their response left much to be desired. They told me it wasn't their fault - that somehow, FedEx had messed up - and that I should contact them to try to fix the issue. I was taken aback by their response. How could they just wash their hands of the situation like that?
I was persistent, though. I requested to speak to a supervisor and finally, they agreed to send out my package again. It wasn't until I threatened to cancel my order altogether that they appeared to take me seriously. I received an email saying that my package would be on its way soon.
But even that turned out to be a false alarm. When I called FedEx to track the package, they told me that they never received any package from Acorn that was supposed to be delivered to me. I was outraged. Had Acorn charged me for my order without even sending it out?
I had no choice but to call Acorn customer service again, requesting that they give me a FedEx tracking number and order number. I waited for a day with no response. This experience was beyond frustrating. It felt like I was getting the runaround from customer service, who truly did not seem to care about my experience. They repeatedly said it wasn't their fault, but as the customer, I didn't care whose fault it was. All I wanted was for my order to arrive.
Needless to say, my experience with Acorn was incredibly disappointing. I would never recommend purchasing from this company. If you're looking to buy something online, I suggest you look elsewhere. Their customer service was poor, and their inability to fix the problem has left me feeling cheated and frustrated.
Review: AcornTV - The Perfect Website for British TV Shows
Acorn (acornonline.com) or AcornTV is the perfect website to enjoy British shows like Above Suspicion, Prime Suspect, Midsomer Murders, Cadfael, Agatha Christie's Poirot and more. I'm a fan of police and medical dramas and mysterious shows too, like CSI, Bones, Law & Order, Castle, but now I can watch captivating British shows on AcornTV from the comfort of home in the USA.
Admittedly, there is a slight catch to using AcornTV: you can only view a limited number of shows that are available at any given time. They generally offer one episode per show, and you'll find up to ten shows available to watch at any one time. Then, once a week, the oldest available video will drop off, making way for a new addition. While this is a bit of a snag, it's still a feasible solution if you're willing to be patient and wait for new episodes to materialize.
Another plus of using AcornTV is that it's safe to use. You won't encounter dangerous "click throughs" or other links that could lead you into a virus or malware-laden territory. Additionally, there's nothing to download before you start watching. It's all right on the website, which makes for a straightforward and hassle-free viewing experience.
However, I wish there were more episodes available to watch on AcornTV. While it's great to have a selection of British shows to watch, I imagine that most viewers would love to have even more variety to choose from. It would be great if they could offer more than one episode per show at a time, but then again, the website is still a fantastic option for any Anglophile.
Acorn's Disappointing Customer Service and Shipping - A One Star Review
So, I gotta say something about Acorn. They fumbled the ball on my order, big time. I was trying to do something nice for my hubby and ordered him two shirts for Christmas. I coughed up more than $26 for super-fast shipping, so I could be sure they'd be under the tree on time. Well, 5 days later, I hadn't heard anything and there was no way to check what was going on online. I called their customer service line and got told to check my order status online! What kind of crazy talk is that? They didn't even read my email...rude! After 7 long days, they finally generated the FedEx label, but it took 2 more days to give it to FedEx. My package finally arrived after a total of 15 days. I was pretty excited to finally see those boxes, but nope! They sent me two shirts that were exactly the same, and one shirt was missing entirely! And to top it off, they charged me twice for the upgraded, ridiculous shipping costs for both shirts. I so wish I could give them a negative score, but it looks like 1 star is as low as I can go.
Now, okay - I know mistakes happen. But when I tried to check the status of the rest of my order, all I could see was that one of the shirts I wanted was backordered. What?! According to their website, the rest of my order is in stock. When are they going to ship? Huh? I'm not hopeful for a refund on those shipping costs, but I sure would appreciate it. I'm not sure I want to deal with them again. Unless you're really in the mood for a crazy shopping project, don't bother with this company. I'll feel a little better if they can at least send the rest of my stuff without messing up the shipping - again. Please, just let me be done with this mess.
Acorn Order Delay Nightmares - A Review
I gotta share my experience with Acorn. So, I ordered what I wanted on December 14, but didn't hear anything after the initial confirmation. No tracking info, no nothing. Normally, I love Acorn products, but this year and last, my Christmas orders weren't picked for shipment in time to arrive by the big day. It took a whopping 9 days to even pick my order! Can you imagine that? I had to call them three days in a row just to check on it.
I first called on the 21st, and the rep said that my order hadn't shipped yet but promised it would definitely ship on the same day, and that it would get to me by Christmas Eve. Okay, fair enough...or so I thought. I called them again on the 22nd, and again, the product still hadn't shipped! The rep apologized and said that "this happens all the time," and that sometimes shipments get lost or fall off skids. Can you believe that? But this time, the rep assured me that the product would be shipped overnight and that she would email me to confirm.
So, I called again the next day, December 23rd, only to find out that the product had just shipped that day and hadn't even reached Fed Ex yet. They expected it to be delivered by December 29th! Ugh, this is why I hate online shopping sometimes.
The same thing actually happened to me last year too, but the delay from order to shipment was even longer, 15 days. I don't know what's going on with Acorn, but this is just not acceptable. I feel bad for the clerks who have to deal with explaining all of this to angry customers all day long.

Disappointing Size and Return Policy Experience with Acorn Online
So, I wanted to get some new clothes and found Acornonline.com. I picked a top I liked and, like always, I picked my usual medium size. But, when it arrived, it was way too big! It was more like an extra-large! I was bummed out because I was looking forward to wearing it.
I decided to return it, but that's when things got even worse. Customer Service said they couldn't give me free shipping back, even though it was their mistake! I had to pay $20.00 just to try on an item that was supposed to be a medium size.
Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with my experience with Acorn. The top itself seems to be good quality, but it's not worth the hassle and extra cost of trying to return it.
Disappointed with Acorn: Poor Customer Service and Mystery Charges
So, I had heard about Acorn, this online store that sells really cool stuff - like TV shows, DVD's and clothing. And since I was in the market for some new things to watch, I decided to check them out. A couple of weeks go by and I still haven't received my order - I'm waiting patiently until I realize that I can't even track it! That's when I tried emailing and calling them, but I got no response. I was really bummed out because not only had I spent my hard earned dough, but I didn't even have any new shows to watch!
To make matters worse, I was reviewing my recent credit card statements when I saw a charge that I definitely didn't make. It was a total mystery. At that point, I was feeling pretty defeated and confused. I had no idea what to do next. While I suppose I could try to deny the charges, I realized that I'd have to cancel my card and get a new one issued - but who wants that hassle right before the holidays? Talk about a major bummer.
All things considered, I'm not super impressed with Acorn. It's hard to trust a company that doesn't answer their phone or emails. And although I'd love to give them another shot, I'm hesitant to risk my money and personal information again.
Terrible Product Condition & Customer Service: My Experience with Acorn
I ain't gonna lie, I had a terrible experience dealing with Acorn. Their products arrived in the worst condition, packed in the crappiest way possible. I mean, the boxes were literally ripped up and crushed. Ain't nobody wanna receive a product like that, right? And don't even get me started on their customer service department. Let me tell you, I was on hold for what felt like forever just to get connected to a live person. And when I finally did, they talked to me like I was stupid. What kind of customer service is that? They were rude and not afraid to put me on hold and never come back, or straight up hang up on me. So please, do yourself a favor and avoid this company like the plague.

Beware of Hidden Charges: An Honest Review of Acorn's Shipping and Sales Tax
I recently made a purchase from Acorn and boy was I surprised by the total amount! I got myself 2 ball caps and a t-shirt, which cost me $59 USD. They don't show you the shipping charge until the very end, and BOY was it a whopping $32 US to ship to Canada! This made my grand total a whopping $95 USD, or about $130 CDN ($42+ CDN per item). YIKES!
To add insult to injury, they decided to charge me a sales tax of $3 *eye-roll*. But here's the kicker, they're a US company, why are they charging me a sales tax? This is a TOTAL rip-off if you ask me! It's not just Acorn, I've noticed this with their sister company, Signals, too.
I'm a little annoyed by this, but the quality of their products is top-notch. If you're looking to purchase from Acorn or Signals, beware of the hidden shipping charge and sales tax. It's a bummer that these charges were not disclosed upfront, but the products are worth it!
Acorn Review: Great Products, Frustrating Customer Service Experience
I recently ordered some items from Acorn and while the ordering process was easy as pie, tracking down any information on my order has been quite the task. Even after waiting for over a week, I still haven't received any notice of shipping or tracking.
I tried calling their customer service line, but the wait times were outrageous - I spent a total of 80 minutes on hold! And to make matters worse, there isn't an easy way to link your email or phone number with your order numbers so you'll need to write them down and keep them handy.
Despite the frustrations, I will say that Acorn does offer a nice catalog with a great selection of items. But for all the hassle it's been to track down my order, I'm not sure if I'll be ordering from them again any time soon. Overall, while Acorn has some great products, their customer service needs a serious revamp.
Don't Trust Acorn: My Frustrating Experience Waiting for an Expensive Item
So, I tried to get myself a big and important thing from Acorn. Yeah, it was expensive, but dang, that thing was worth it! But man oh man, did I have to wait for it. 6-8 weeks! That's like, half an eternity or something! But I was a patient little guy and waited until the clock ran out. But you know what? No thing! No item! Nada! So, I called up those Acorn peeps and I was all like, "Yo, where my stuff at?" And what do they tell me? They gotta check with their buddies over at the vendor to see what's what. So, I'm all like, "Okay, fine, just let me know." Except they didn't. No word for me! And I ain't about to play phone tag with those guys all day! So, I just told them to scrap it all and cancel that order. But man, can you believe it? Each and every rep I talked to fed me a different story each time! What kind of operation are they running over there? Finally, I get through to this bossman and he tells me that they're gonna cancel things and send me an email heyin' that it's done and dusted. Guess what never came? You got it in one! That email! For over 400 bucks, you can bet my britches that I ain't about to trust Acorn with any more scratch. Never again!
Disappointing experience with Acorn: Unhelpful Customer Service and Rip-off Pricing
I gotta say I had a less than stellar experience with Acorn. Now don't get me wrong, I love their stuff and have been a customer for years, but this one time was a real bummer. Here's the deal: I wanted to order 12 of their super cute ornaments, cuz they give a discount for orders of 12 or more. So far so good, right? Well, the very next day I get an email saying that one of the ornaments I ordered had been discontinued. Bummer, I thought, but no biggie. So I asked the customer service rep if I could just replace the discontinued ornament with another one from my original order. But no! They told me I had to place a whole new order, pay for shipping, and worst of all... I couldn't even get my discount! Can you believe it? Instead of paying under 8 bucks for that one ornament, they wanted to charge me over 20 bucks! What a rip-off!
So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and called customer service myself. But wouldn't you know it, they passed me back and forth between different departments and put me on hold way too many times. And in the end, no one could fix the mistake THEY made! Can you believe it? I was beyond frustrated!
Now, I know no company is perfect, and I'll probably still shop at Acorn in the future, but I hope they figure out a way to fix their mistakes better in the future. Ain't nobody got time for all that nonsense!
Disastrous Shipping Experience with Acorn - Shop Elsewhere
Yo, I gotta say something bout my experience with Acorn, cause it was a hot mess. I wanted to get my friend a cute bunny basket and thought acornonline.com was the way to go. But boy was I wrong. When the package arrived, it was all busted up into a million little pieces. Ain't nobody got time for that. So, I contacted customer service and they sent me a replacement. But guess what? That one came all busted up too. So, I contacted them again, and they sent out a third one. This time, you guessed it, broken once again. I can't even with how many times I've had to call them up and complain. Plus, with the pandemic going on, standing in line at the post office to send these back just ain't it. I'm so done with Acorn's shipping department. They need to get it together and get their act straight. Save yourself the trouble and shop somewhere else.
Disappointing Experience with Acorn: A Cautionary Review
I had some trouble with my Acorn account and was pretty frustrated about the entire ordeal. After completing my taxes for 2022, I noticed some strange information on my form 1116 for Foreign Tax Credit. I wasn't sure why I had to pay foreign taxes for a company based in the US, especially since the accountant said she could have chosen any country. She ended up picking the Kingdom of Bahrain, which left me feeling even more confused.
Feeling fed up, I decided that I wanted to close my Acorn account, but unfortunately, I had trouble logging onto the website. It was pretty frustrating since I just wanted to be done with the whole thing. If and when I can finally close my account, I plan on telling all of my friends to avoid Acorn like the plague. Honestly, I think they're a scam.
Despite all of the issues I encountered, I will say that the Acorn website looked pretty nice and professional. However, looks can be deceiving, and I was pretty disappointed with what actually went down. In the end, I don't think I'll be returning to Acorn anytime soon.
Overall, if you're considering using this platform, I would suggest doing your research and carefully considering your options. While the website may look nice, there are obviously some underlying issues that need to be addressed.
Acorn Online Review: Unique Items, Disappointing Experience
I gotta say, I had high hopes for Acorn's website (acornonline.com) and all their unique items that supposedly can't be found anywhere else, but man, was I let down. And it's not just one issue, it's a laundry list of problems I have with this company.
First off, the quality of their T-shirts is seriously lacking. I mean, they were so wide it was like trying to wear a hot air balloon. Not to mention the fact that half the time the colors aren't even the same as what's shown on the website. And here's the kicker: out of the 12 items I ordered this year, FIVE had to be returned. That's almost half, people.
Now, let's talk about shipping. I don't know what kind of shenanigans they've got going on in their warehouse, but I've received damaged products more than once. And don't even get me started on that $200 stained glass hanging I ordered. It was supposed to be this beautiful piece of artwork, but it showed up in a damaged box (see pic) and the colors were totally off. Not to mention the fact that it was nowhere near the quality I expected for that kind of dough.
And don't even get me started on the returns process. Not only do you have to use their fancy-pants "SmartLabel" (which costs $11.95, mind you), but the whole process takes FOREVER. I'm talking glacier slow, folks. It took 24 days for me to get my credit. Who has time for that?
Overall, I'm just really disappointed in Acorn. I want to love them, I really do. But until they step up their game in the quality control and shipping departments, I just can't recommend them to anyone.
