I start my Christmas shopping in October, I purchased a Velour outfit for my granddaughter for a total amount of $79.12 plus tax, she didn't like the way it fit so I took her to the store to exchange it, low and behold they did not have them in stock, no avail on line. They told me that my receipt had expired! ( never heard of such a thing) apparently because I ordered the merchandise October 23th the return window was for 60 days, was told that this was purchased before the Holiday extended returns of 90 days, so I am 6 days over the 60 days and they wanted me to take a store credit of $28.00! I could not believe what she was saying. She told me to go online and return the merchandise for full credit, so, I did just that - when I went into my account to do the return, I got a message that the return was not eligible. Expired receipt! I will never step foot in a Aeropostale store again. I can not believe that this is exceptable. I have talked to customer service, no help from them either.! I could see if it was 2 or 3 weeks after the 60 days but 6 days? and the items still had the tags on them so they could see the full price along with my receipt. I am so disapointed with that store and their customer service
Claimed loss: $79.12 plus tax
Desired outcome: Return for refund or store credit of $79.12 plus tax, and they need to extend their return window for those who shop early for the holidays
