On January 30, 2024, as I was passing by the ICA building, I placed a drink can on the plastic divider and continued walking back home. An Aetos Chinese security guard rushed approximately 100 meters and put his hand on my shoulder in a rough manner. He then rudely instructed me to pick up the can and throw it in a bin, which I did. Thereafter, a Malay Aetos security officer approached me and informed me that he was in charge. I inquired for his name because he was not carrying an ICA ID and a name tag. He then requested for my identity card. I refused as I believe that a security officer has no authority to request for civilian’s identity card let alone he is not having any ID nor name tag. At this moment, the Chinese Aetos security guard again made personal contact with me. An Indian ICA officer with the rank of staff sergeant then instructed the Chinese Aetos security officer not to make physical contact. I then approached the Indian ICA security officer for advice. To my utter disbelief, the Indian ICA officer advised me that should I continue to talk, I would get into trouble. The complete narration has been recorded for your reference.
