Result - I am still without internet.
Logging a call with them on client zone to tell them my LTE device is return a red light on the 3g/4g and keeps promoting me to insert the SIM card.
Needless to say the standard of support one receives is this...
1. You don't get a phone call unless you click on the button on their client zone requesting a call me back.
2. They instead respond on the client zone know very well you don't have access.
3. No one follows up on your ticket
4. You have to phone them...on the 15th I phoned their support, and when you finally get someone the person is so aggravating asking the same questions over and over because they are not focused and listening to your issue and even worse actually sounded like he was stoned or drunk. He made me so angry that I actually asked him if he was drunk. The person sounded like he had no clue of what I was saying and he is trying to assist clients?
5. I phoned back and got to a guy named Thabo and asked him to see who I had just spoken with because I was going to put a formal complaint...good luck with that. They have no escalation process.
6. Thabo tried to assist asked me to call back if the problem was not resolved...because now i am instructed to reboot the router and wait 10 min... Needless to say the problem persists and it just happens to be 5pm which suddenly the support centre is a ghost town...
seriously this is the level of service that we receive.
7. This is not my first incident with their sub standard technical support taking weeks to resolve the simplest of errors.
8. Can I just buy a new LTE SIM card and insert it ..can you imagine how long Afrihost will take just to understand that I did that and the card needs to be activated. That's even if that is the problem maybe the LTE is the issue because we did have a huge thunderstorm the day before it started acting up...
9. But you can't find anyone at Afrihost who knows how to troubleshoot.. because they get given a script with the APN details and this is what they give you to try...you must log in to the router to reset the APN details.
10... And then you get told you are not supposed to remove the SIM card from the device ...it gets suspended as soon as you do that ... That is a little bit of I am not sure you know what you are saying...or ...don't you think that is pertinent information to disclose to your clients when they buy this package from you?
Desired outcome: I would like someone who knows what my error is to phone me to resolve it in one phone call
