I gave the trial version of AfterShip a shot, and I followed their guide to set up my CNAME settings for my email address at ***@domain. But boy, oh boy, did it cause a major problem with my site! My whole site went down and became completely inaccessible due to some DNS issues. It was a nightmare, and it took a whole hour to recover from this mess!
So, I decided to reach out to their support team and provide them with all the exact settings I had made, step by step. But you won't believe what happened next! The support person, who happened to be from India, had the audacity to ask me for a screenshot of my CNAME settings! Can you believe it? What an incompetent [censored]! I had already written down the exact settings in the ticket, and yet they still wanted a screenshot!
Seriously, did they expect me to keep those settings and have my website down for a whole 24 hours just so they could have their precious screenshot? Ridiculous! Of course, I had to delete those settings in order to get my website back online and functioning properly again.
And get this, they have the nerve to charge you $49 per month for only 1000 shipment notifications, and a whopping $123 for just 5000 shipment notifications to your customers! Can you believe the audacity? It's quite a hefty price to pay, if you ask me.
Overall, my experience with AfterShip was a complete disaster. The setup process caused my site to go down, the support team was unhelpful and clueless, and their pricing is just outrageous. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, especially if you value your website's uptime and your hard-earned money.
