over salted chicken
The chicken I purchased here at Albertsons was extremely salty & unedible due to how much salt was on it . I buy your rotisserie chicken a lot but this time it was extremely salty & im very unsatisfied with my purchase. My father loves over salted food but even this chicken was way too much for him . I also purchased the fried chicken which most of the chicken was rubbery & loaded in grease . You picked it up & it would start to drip . Its unacceptable . How was I suppose to know my food would come out bad ? I wouldn't have purchase it if I knew
removal of good-selling items
Since the "renovation" and re-structuring of Albertsons' groceries (in Ft Worth, TX) I am becoming more & more frustrated! Every visit to this store I am finding items I have always be able to buy no longer being carried. I understand "organic" items are the new 'thing', but that does not mean that tried & true items should be cut! According to the meat dept workers, deli workers, cashiers/stockers & even the mgrs they have NO idea what they will or won't be receiving on any future deliveries. And the prices have almost tripled, just since the changes! I've been an Albertsons' customer for over 20 years because I could always count on quality, availability & a consistent price. This is no longer the case! I Hate going to THAT store (Walmart), but I'm afraid I will be forced to start doing all my shopping there, as Albertsons no longer seems to care what the customers want & need. All I hear when at the store are complaints from customers about what they can't find there anymore, and where they are going to start going for their groceries. And I really feel sorry for the cashiers who have to listen to complaint after complaint. My little $350 per month won't break ya'll, but hopefully after 100 folks take their weekly/monthly $$ somewhere else, you will learn!
pharmacy albertsons madera simi valley
Today I went into the Albertsons in Simi Valley on madera to put one of my many prescriptions in that I had just received from my doctor. It was for Norfolk #5. The girl Yashula said to me they couldn’t fill it until Friday. I am out and I am in the process of lowering the does on the pain meds. So I am out and you can’t be out of these! Anyway yashula nastily asked me if I took to many and the way she asked was in an accusatory way as if I were a drug addict. She doesn’t know me and I am extremely upset! She treated me with disrespect. She doesn’t know that I am a cancer survivor and she doesn’t know about my car accident that almost killed me and left me with pain. My husband and I get all our medications from this particular store. But no more, we will be transferring them all to another pharmacy that has employees that actually care about their customers.
organic produce
My Albertsons in Riverside, CA 92508 (Trautwein), just changed the whole produce section to include a big variety of organic fruit. This is fine but I would appreciate them segregating the ORGANIC fruit into a fenced off area or something. I am not willing to pay the higher prices for organic fruit so for everything I buy I have to look around, read labels and determine organic bananas or regular. This makes my shopping experience frustrating and longer. To tell you the truth, I've more than once eliminated produce altogether since the change because I can't deal with the searching (i.e. forget, no grapes this trip).
If this isn't rectified I may have to shop elsewhere since I like to get all my items at one place.
lack of customer service and common courtesy to elderly couple.
I was at the Alberstons on 32nd St. in Yuma, Arizona on 9/20/17 around 10am. I saw an elderly couple, they had to be close to 90 years old, the woman was hunched over and they seemed pretty frail. They bought a large grocery cart full of groceries, and because only two registers were open, they checked out at the customer service window. I saw them push this large loaded cart out to their car by themselves without any assistance. I also called and spoke to the manager, and all he could say very apathetically was "OK". I find this lack of customer service to a very elderly couple inexcusable. Also, this isn't the first time I've seen this. Not long ago there was an elderly woman in front of me at the cashier, and again no one asked her if she needed help! I asked the cashier "Is no one going to help her out?". He then called someone to help her. I seriously do not know why decent common courtesy is non-existent in this store. It seems that the employees want to do the bare minimum just to get through their day. A real shame, because I've been coming here for at least 15 years. I won't be going back. Disgraceful.
chicken from deli/service
I went to the Albertsons nearest me 97124 at around 7:15 p.m. I went to go get chicken from the deli and the person who was serving was very very rude and gave me an attitude and rolled her eyes when I asked her to just give me half and half then I asked if she had potato wedges she and then said that no and she was not going to make any more for me because she was going to close I asked the person who checked me out what time the deli closes and they said 9p.m to top it off the chicken that she gave me was old and had little to no meat on it.
cashier didn't give change
Spencer Park at the Oregon City Albertsons (19007 Beaver Creek Rd) did not give me or anyone in my track team the correct change. Three of us he gave no change and to one person he gave half the required change. He simply bagged our items, said "have a nice day" and turned to the next customer without giving the change. It wasn't a big enough problem that I was going to make a scene about it, but it is illegal.
service
First off Albertsons gets rid of self checkout because they dont want to pay someone to stand there, then they start this "3's a crowd " that they promptly ended because they cant handle their own policy, and then they have the "express lanes"which are never open in the evening plus they allow customers to use their cards and so you stand there forever waiting for the customer to find one with money on it or for the machine to read the chip. What about a cash line? thats express. Last night I go in a little before 9pm, guess what? one register open with a line of people, oh wheres Ken he needs to open customer service, no one can find Ken. I asked the lady how late are you open?, she said 1am really? yes and you went to one register at ? 8pm she said. I was hoping after the renovations things would get better, they are worse. Im done, Smiths is only a few blocks away and they have self checkout and they always have more than one reg. open.
So here it is the day after the poor service and like a dummy I go to the deli at Albertsons ONLY because of the chicken special 8 piece baked and fried. I tell the guy I would like to get a mix of the chicken so 4 baked and 4 fried, he starts putting all fried in the bag, I said I want a mix, he said sir you have to tell me, I said I did. I said can I get a mix of the chicken and you said 8 count? I said yes and you started putting all fried and then dumped it out all pissed off and of course hes not wearing a name badge, that was really the last straw for me and anymore shopping at Albertsons and of course as soon as I get to the express lane at noon when the store is busy they shut down one of the registers. Just the worst. I was in retail for 13 yrs a floor manager for Macys, Albertsons seems clueless on the concept, taking care of the customer, maybe its just store management because for most part the staff is nice, the store is operated poorly.
produce
I am new to this city moved here about three weeks ago, ... about a week ago I went into your store and had bought some Anaheim Chile around one good full bag . I was in a hurry that day and wasn't paying much attention if the chile was in the best condition or not . I only had the product one full day and then on the next day when I went to go and cook it I noticed mold was growing from the stems . I went in and spoke to customer service and explained what happened . I didn't have a receipt but explained I didn't want my money back that I just wanted to exchange it for better chile . The lady was very rude grabbed my bag and said she would go talk to produce. She came back rather quickly and said no that I must have the wrong store or something cause they haven't ordered chile in a few weeks . I was confused and explained that I was new to this city and thought maybe I had wondered into the wrong store.I definitely knew it was an Albertsons because thats where I normally shop in my home state and because The chile was in an Albertsons bag . Anyhow the point being is that it was literally at most a three dollar bag of chile and it was not as if I was asking for my money back or anything but only asking for good customer service. I don't like feeling as if the person behind the counter treats me as if I was lying over a three dollar bag of chile . The least the lady could have done was try and ask if there was any other chile I would have like in place of giving me old product in the first place. Anyhow I came home with the bad product in the end and told my husband about it and he guarantied me that I was at the right Albertsons . Never the less I will never go back to this store !
employees
Store 101 Boise, ID Dept managers, store director and Hba manager are the rudest I have ever met. Cashiers are the only customer service oriented in the whole store! I will never shop at this store. Joe Albertson would be turning in his grave if he saw what they have done to his very first store! I have business to do weekly in this store and I cringe everytime I have to come here.
your checkout
When shopping I look for things that are on sale with my Albertsons card. When I was checking out the cashier hit total before I could enter my phone number and I lost the ability to get discounts. He would have had to cancel the entire order and start over so I could get my discounts. There was a line and I didn't want to make everyone wait. Why do you have your computers set up like this? You owe me at least $10.
service
I was assisted by James M. today at the 1760 Charleston Blvd. Las Vegas store. He was rude, inattentive, dismissive when he had to question a discounted item even after I told him I didn't need it because I didn't have the time, my bus was coming. He delayed me an additional 8-10 minutes while ignoring me. This caused me an additional 25 minute wait and my ice cream to melt. This is not Customer Service.
service
On [protected] I received a rain check for 24 pack of Refreshe water at 2 items at .99 cents each. On 9-8-2017 I went into a local Albertsons to redeem my rain check. It was early morning and only one register was open and a line was building. The clerk could not figure out have to credit me for the correct amount. The ad for the current week listed the water at $2.49 and if you had a coupon it was listed for $1.67. It rang up for regular price of $2.99, she should have just given me a $2.00 credit for each one. Instead she says I will just give you $1.00 since you already get .50 cents off. I questioned that and then she said I will give you $2.00 dollars. I think ok and the people behind me are getting inpatient. After ringing up my other items and I pay I think it seems high and when I get home I look a the receipt and I see that she give me .50 cents on one and charged me $2.00 on the other. So I ended up paying $4.49 on my rain check items that should have cost me $1.98. The more I thought about it the more upset I got. I was going to call the manager but decided I was not going to drive 18 miles to get the difference back. I will only go to an Albertsons from now on if I can't get what I need some place else from now on. They need a better way to do their rain checks since the clerks can't figure it out. I guess I was my fault for feeling like I was holding up the line and not catching it before I left the store. I am still feeling dissatisfied about the whole thing.
I work at this location, and I feel sorry about this. We had just gotten a whole new system Wednesday September 6th which no longer allows us to price over-ride the item for a rain check but to do the difference as a store coupon. If the cashier had gone through the correct training she would have known as we no longer price over ride and we get in trouble. But please keep the receipt, and next time you are within the vicinity of this Albertsons please come in with the receipt and we will be more than happy to fix it for you. I work at customer service and will tell my service coworker about this and we will get it straightened out for you. I apologize for this, and trust me, even to this day we are still having issues with the new system. We are changing more to Safeway's way of doing things than Albertsons. And if you are like me 11 years of working there to suddenly having to learn a whole new system, it is not fun. But please allow us to get this situated for you.
not enough staff!!!
There's not more than 5 people on the entire store floor ever. Poor Starbucks has under staff and half of the staff call in or dont show at all. The ONE manger and previous manager do the work of 10 people and then get botched at and treated like [censored] until all the tasks are Finished. The store manager ad director are both rude and pushy. I feel like I'm getting pressured into spending all the money I work my [censored] of for on [censored] groceries. When I go shopping I would like some one to approach me with a " hello are you finding everything ok?" Not. "You nees to fill up your basket, your not shopping right". I feel like attendance at that facility is sgot as far as some employees go. Theres never more than one person in the meat department. And had my ever anyone at the counter. But my main problem is Starbucks. Those people need more help back there. Its one major coffee shop in an area the size of oildale. With 5 employees which 3 of them call out constanly. Its ridiculous when 2 -3 pope work 45+ hours a week just to pick up the slack for people who need to get fires and replaced plus some.. I am a buisness owner and this is an atrocious example of business in my opnion. Idon't know how much longer I can fake a smile to the bull [censored] managment of this store.
pets in albertson grocery stores
I have shopped at the Albertson on Clark Ave in Long Beach CA. On several occasions, I observed people with their dog (some in the grocery basket where we put our food). I finally complained to the manager and he just did not say anything, really. The last straw was when a shopper with his dog in the grocery basket, handed the dog to the bagger who placed it on the counter where he was bagging people's food and started petting the pooch. I complained to the checker and I suggested the bagger should go and wash his hands. Instead, the kid left me to bag my groceries...after having to pay the "bag tax" so that we can save the planet (never mind this is California. See, if you tax something it automatically stops a problem, but I digress).
There is a state regulation regarding this issue. There is a county regulation regarding this issue. And at least here in Long Beach, we have a health department regulation that prohibits pets from entering food establishments.
OH yes, of course, service animals are exempt from this regulation. And saying that your 2-pounder Chihuahua is a service dog is plainly taking advantage of people who really need help. Get a pair, Albertson!
Oh really come on would you rather the person have there dog in a hot car, sometimes I don't believe how heartless people are these days. Most people are dirtier then most dogs . Get over it and stop being a pain in the butt! to a dog friendly society we've become . The reason no one said anything is because you are the one sounding crazy getting all upset over a poor little puppy, pathetic really
store management
On Friday Sept 1st i was shopping in Kingston Albertsons around 2:30pm with my children, while walking thru the front door I witnessed a manager screaming and cussing at a young woman, I am not sure whether or not she was an employee or customer but regardless his behavior was not professional or respectful. His language was so inappropriate that I left the store so my children did not hear such things. This man is not someone I would trust to run my store not will I ever shop there again. I'm sure I am not the only one who will complain about this situation as the store was very busy that day.
service
Good evening,
My name is Liz and a single mother of two kids and Vietnamese consent. I came into your establishment tonight on Canyon Road in Puyallup Washington. My complaint is against the manager of this location. Unfortunately I did not get his name. I was discriminated, judged and shamed by him for using WIC check, which was holding up the line. I did not appreciate his comment about having a WIC line for people like me. I'm an educated woman who works two jobs to support my family. I fell on Financial hard times and needed some assistance from the state. I hope this will be corrected to all your employees.
racist customer being rewarded for her behavior...
I thought your chain was family oriented store, but I guess I was wrong.
In 8/24 I went to buy groceries, a customer was going off to one of your cashiers so I told the customer to be nicer to the cashier since she was doing her job.
That customer went off on me with racist comments and "threatened" me with calling the police, like if I should be afraid of that, I'm an American citizen just like her, proudly have everything in order...
She told me several times to ahut up and mind my own business and asked me several times "what are you " (as far as I can tell, that's a question someone illiterate would ask, since the right question would be "where are you from"...).
Well, she walked away yelling at me to shut up as I did to her to.
She waited where the flowers are, right in front of starbucks, I saw one of the managers and told him about the lady being disrespectful to the employee and that I told her to be nice...
When I was on my way out from the store, that lady stopped me again, yelling at me to mind my own businesses and asked again several times "what was I..." (an alien probably, since she couldn't see that I'm a woman too...).
The barista from starbucks asked either one of us to leave, I was leaving and she stopped me with her racist rant..., her words are really clear to me as I can clearly remember her saying "yeah, you had to be Mexican, you should go back to where you came from, go back to Mexico"...
It's been a week and yeah, I cannot get over it, I have been bringing my kids with me to tge store just in case I see that "beautiful" and "well educated" lady again...
To my surprise, I found put that her behavior was rewarded with a price of 25 dlls off..., really?
She had a rant because you guys didn't have the nail polish she wanted, went off on your employee, went off on me for stepping in, was racist to me and at the end you rewarded tgat behavior?
I've been going to that store (tigard, Barrows rd) since February 2007..., I knew most of the people that moved to safeway and/or New Seasons when you transitioned from Albertsons to Haggen...
What makes me think that you will stand by my back one day if I ever see that lady again and I'm with my kids?
I don't think the people reading this message will ever relate to what it feels to be profiled, to be harassed for the color of your skin, your accent, your nationality or religion...
I thought you guys were better and were family oriented.
What warranty do I have from your people after being attacked verbally with racial slurs that you would step in?
Learning that her behavior was rewarded, really disappointed me...
What is racism?
management
I'm a volunteer for a local non-profit. Today I called the Albertsons located at: 28047 Scott Rd, Murrieta, CA 92563. I spoke to an associate and let her know which organization I was with and that we were looking to possibly get a (tax deductible) cake donated for a child. She put me on hold for the manger named Tony. He accepted my call and as I was telling him about the sick child, he cut me off. He told me he was busy. He asked me not to bother him, call another time. Then hung up on me. We do a lot of local children. He knew I was with a non-profit. He could have refused my call. Instead he chose to answer and be disgusting. I am a regular at Albertsons and decided to call her because I've met some great people here. This manager does not represent what you all stand for. Maybe he can be given a lesson on respect.
Thank you!
terrible customer service. cashier practically called me a liar and a thief
I shopped today at your store and the cashier did not give me the cash back that I had requested via my debit purchase. I became aware as soon as I walked to my car. The amount was only $10, but that was not the issue. I am the first to admit if I had made a mistake, but the cashier promptly dismissed the fact that he might of made a mistake and went on to say that customers try to take advantage and say they had received the money when they had not. He practically called me a liar and what is worse a thief. Instead of seeing what could be done he proceeded to make me out as some type of scam artist. To make matters worse he implied this in front of other customers waiting in line. I made it clear that maybe if he paid more attention to the customer in front of him instead of talking to the other clerks this would not happen. Furthermore, he proceeded to call his "supervisor " who in turn was as unprofessional. After waiting for him to count the till and finding that he was over. He pretty much, in a condescending way said "well he was over x amount and here is your money "Not one apology, or even thanks for waiting like a jerk for him to do his audit. I assure you that I can shop any other place but choose to give my hard earned money to you because of the great selection your store provides. But being humiliated is not my idea of good customer service.
