rude and disrespectful behavior of albertsons pli employee at lynnwood store.
On 5th November 2017 near 8:10 pm.
I went to Albertsons Lynnwood, Washington store to buy Liquor and there i met one of my known. When I went to billing counter to buy Liquor after seeing my id the PCI employee named Kayla asked me that your known friend also have to show his id to her. At that time, I was shopping for myself only and he was standing away doing his own things. I asked her why she want to see his id when I'm buying bottle for me only. And how can I say him to show his id for my stuff. And the employee acted rudely and disrespected me. She acted as I was doing some crime over there for being Albertsons customer. I asked her to call manager, Then she replied she is the 2nd manager over there. One other employee came over there and said me you was talking to your friend so she need to see his id too. It just surprised me, till now I never show such rule and they refused sell Liquor to me. I'm a regular there customer, But the way they all acted was rude and disrespectful towards their customers. Even they were making their customers fool by pretending to be a manager when I asked them that I want to talk with manager.
rotten meat bought today!!!
1650 N Buffalo Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89128
Albertsons must not care about the safety of the customers sold us rotten meat we could of went to the hospital if my family had ate this! An this was bought today 11/05/17 this is a serious issue that need to be brought up to the meat department! And they seemed not to care basically saying we need to take are chances when buying marked down meat
albertson's treats customers acquired by takeovers differently than regular albertson's customers (see discussion in complaint)
Albertsons offers seniors a 10% discount on groceries the first Wednesday of every month. However, the 10% discount doesn't apply to Carrs Safeway stores in Alaska (recently acquired by Albertsons). So basically Alaska seniors are being discriminated against by Albertsons. Fred Meyers offers Alaska seniors a discount because Fred Meyers values the seniors business. Freddies appears to be a better neighbor than Albertsons, which apparently is a greedy business.
There is a very popular bar here in Anchorage called Chilkoot Charlies. They have a slogan that would be very appropriate for Albertsons. "We cheat the other guy and pass the savings on to you." In this case the other guy would be Alaska seniors and the savings would be passed on to the real Albertsons customers.
I wonder if our local news media would run a story on how Alaskans are being cheated by an outsider company whose only interest is making money here in Alaska and taking the money back to the Lower 48. I'm sure if the word got out some of your customers would head to Freddies.
I wouldn't think they were 'cheating' anyone. Either they have competitive pricing at whatever price they offer their merchandise for or they do not.
The store was always overpriced compared to Fred Meyers and still is overpriced. Here's an example. Fred Meyers frequently puts our favorite brand of bacon on sale at $3.99 for a 16 ounce package. Carrs/Safeway/Albertsons used to almost match the price. Then Carrs/Safeway/Albertsons reduced the size of the bacon package to 12 ounces but kept the price the same. So now Fred Meyer still sells a 16 ounce package of that bacon on sale for $3.99 and Carrs/Safeway/Albertsons matches that price with a 12 ounce package of bacon. That's just one example. And Fred Meyers is not only less expensive, they also offer a discount to seniors the first Tuesday of every month whereas Carrs/Safeway/Albertsons offers it everywhere except in Alaska. You may call that competitive pricing but I do not. I call it the Alaska Gouge Factor. The Carrs Safeway/Alberstons store happens to be very close whereas Fred Meyers store is a lot further away. However we are shopping at Fred Meyers more and more even though is much less convenient. Not everyone has that option. Carrs/Safeway/Albertsons may not be "cheating" anyone by offering the senior discount at all of their stores except those in Alaska but it certainly smacks of a form of discrimination since not all of their customers are being provided the same opportunity. I would imagine if you lived here and your wallet was affected by the disparate treatment of customers you would not like it much either.
customer service
RE: Albertson's on Lake Murray Blvd, San Diego
I went in tonight, 10/30/17, about 9 pm to get some Sumatran coffee beans, but they were out. (except about 2 tablespoons) Tried to find some help, to get the bin refilled. After 5 minutes, gave up and used my cell to call, since I have a bad knee.
Marji, who answered, said they were too busy, there were only 2 people working, and just take a bag of coffee, which I did not want to do, since those beans are usually staler and older, and this was my SECOND trip in 2 weeks - and they were still out... she then curtly said "Oh, all right! l'll come back there!" (Sorry to inconvenience the staff and. I won't let it happen again. Pardon ME!)
I returned back to the coffee aisle and waited a few minutes. Instead of coming herself, she sent some poor, underpaid employee, who could not pronounce decaf, or any other of the coffee names, poor guy. At least he tried. Made decaf rhyme with Jaffe.
I pointed out some large bags to refill the bins with, up out of reach for me, but, alas, none were Sumatran. If I could have reached them myself, earler, I would have done self-serve to avoid the torture and time waste. He didn't seem to understand, after I tried to explain. He didn't think there were any in back, which is poor planning and stocking.
This trip cost me about $150, and no coffee, plus bad service with an attitude, for only $90 worth of items at a store 5 minutes farther down the road - or even less $ at Walmart. Last time I spent about $400, and no coffee again, only because I was having a party and running late.
The time before that, I couldn't find any help, and when I did, I asked for dried porcini mushrooms after looking everywhere. The girl said they were over in produce. I said I didn't see any "DRIED" porcini mushrooms, and she then said "What?" She hadn't listened, and come to find out, neither she nor her fellow male coworker had a clue what I was talking about.
They'd never heard of them and didn't care. They clearly thought I was unreasonable and this was an imposition. I was not irritated at their ignorance until that point.
After waiting 10 minutes, because they said they were busy and it would be a few minutes, and after that, they made 2 calls to the front, one finally came back and said they didn't have any, then they both abruptly left, letting me know I was interfering with wherever they were going, probably home. (I guess nobody cooks Italian around this Albertson's?)
Maybe these three instances of poor service are not the norm, but I think I am going elsewhere. I have to anyway, to get what I was shopping for initially.
I can get good, knowledgeable, FRIENDLY service elsewhere, without wasting my time making 2 trips. It is just that this is across the street from my new apartment, so it was convenient. But they don't need pesky customers who bother them with weird requests like mine.
Tried to call Stephanie, the manager, but guess who I got. Marji. I said I wanted to leave Stephanie a message. She said ok. I said I wanted to leave her a voicemail. I knew she wouldn't have gotten a complaint about Marji from Marji. She said Stephanie the manager did not have voicemail. She was nicer this time, after I identified myself. I had left my name and number for Stephanie
at checkout, regarding the coffee.
I am not sure what the company culture and work ethic are now at Albertson's, but it appears to have seriously declined in the last 20 or 30 years since I have been shopping there off and on. I used to consider them as an upscale store. Not the one on Lake Murray in San Diego! Maybe there is truth to East County being different? I am beginning to wonder.
Usually it can be directly traced to management when they allow poor service like that. And don't keep the store stocked. I was looking for Albertson's bandaids, too, and guess what? They were out.
Plus, Marji was rude when I asked about my Albertson's card discount. She said they didn't have cards, there's an app, and they do the discount automatically. This tells me I didn't get the discount the last two times, either. (What if I pay cash, which I probably did. How does it automatically take the discount then?) Very disappointing.
Think I have been shopping there longer than Marji has been alive. Thanks for being rude a second time in a row tonight to an already disgruntled customer, Take some lessons on customer service. And take off your management stripes for now. Not qualified.
On to Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Sprouts, and any other stores that know what porcini mushrooms are and why someone would want fresh Sumatran coffee beans, bandaids, and stock them.
Still peeved,
Jennifer Lefler

PS: Just unpacked my 2 sacks that cost $150 dollars. Can't believe how expensive bad service with a a bad attitude costs. And I paid. I should just take it all back.
I am still upset about this whole ordeal. And it was an ordeal. Not once but 3 times! Unbelievable. I don't have to put up with this. It is after 1, I have to work tomorrow, and I have to waste my time and energy writing a letter of complaint about a grocery store and it's bad employees because I am still upset and doubt that my complaints will be listened to or acknowledged anyway?
I complained on Google, but doubt that will have any affect, other than make people notice more, if they get similar treatment. So to you Corporate Headquarters.
Please do acknowledge at the number listed above. So the founder doesn't roll over in his grave.
Thank You.
service
10/28/17 at 610 pm I came in to your service counter. I had searched where to cash a money gram. Money gram offered you or walmart. I went to you and your service department refused to cash . I fact, made me feel like a criminal for bringing it. I have never filed a complaint before ever. This was so bad I opened a claim against you w money gram. I left was told to try smiths, which i did. Smiths does not deal w money gram and cashed it in 5 mins. Your people called money gram to verifi and said that they are not during business hours and sent me to smiths. I spoke to money gram, they were open and incuraged me to file complain against albertsons. That is not there policy and was sorry your store treated me this way. I have shopped at Albertsons for years. I am so disappointed I was treated this way. This is not the service I'm used to getting in your store.
Did they give you a reason as to why they would not cash it?
cashier/manager
I Was buying 2 items and had my one year old with me. I went to type in my number and the screen disappeared. I asked the cashier to bring it back up so I could get points towards my rewards. She then proceeded to me "no you were too slow, I already hit total and I can't go back. Next time don't say hi to me or ask how I'm doing. Just put your number in. This is your fault and you should know this because we do our job fast here and you are too slow."The manager came over and also told me I was too slow and it's my own fault and both refused to give me my points. I have been a faithful customer for 4 years. No longer.
One more thing this incident made me so angry that when my one year old started crying in the parking lot I got so angry that I slapped him hard and threw him in his carseat. Unfortunately someone saw me and reported me. An emergency social worker showed up at my door and took my child and now he is in foster care.
I don't believe they take children away just for a minor reported incident.
I'm sure they would investigate, but without anything to corroborate, they wouldn't likely pull the child.
horrible service
i came in this past Saturday with my child as I always do, and went to the Starbucks and was badly greeted by the young girl working there. She seemed to have a horrible attitude and seemed annoyed I think her name was Kristina, she had bad language that my child heard and repeated. I'm a regular customer, have been shopping here for years and am really good friends with Laurie, the president from Vons Albertsons Pavilions and would not want to inform her of the bad visit I had. So please make sure this does not happen again.
just 4 u
I have been using the Just 4 U app with the same phone number for 22 years since being a Safeway shopper. Albertson's has finally come on board with Just 4 U and it was complete disaster. I had over 30 items that weren't further discounted. After standing in line at customer service for 45 minutes and then going item by item with my receipt and the app on my phone, my refund was $20.00 and I still got screwed paying full price for Gain laundry detergent. MaryAnn and Darryl in customer service are completely incompetent. He walked away and didn't want to deal with the issue, but it was okay to waste an hour of my time. I quit shopping at Von's for this reason and I hate Smith's. Albertson's needs to get it together and stop treating people like idiots over a phone app. Don't ask me if I put the correct phone number in. I have been using it since your courtesy clerks were in diapers.
courtesy clerk
Courtesy clerk Tyler Riddle he is a courtesy clerk at Albertson’s store number 6076 warm springs andrainbow in Las Vegas Nevada I am a customer Who is shocked that store for a long time he is extremely rude disrespectful and I want him terminated immediately please forward this to Jhon Dubois the store director at that Albertson’s on warm Springs and rainbow Please terminate this employee at once he also lies and cheats he also does not clear the parking lot he has been warned about this numerous of times this is the fifth complaint on him and I need him terminated or I will never shop in that store again signed anonymous
check out
10/20/17
Since the Safeway across the street closed, the wait times to check out are horrendously long. This is not good for the majority population of elderly people who frequent your store as most cannot stand for extended periods of time. There should be more clerks to check people out especially during lunch time when people from surrounding businesses visit your store for lunch. There are open cash register areas not being utilized. This has caused many of us to go to different stores in the area that are out of the way, which is causing you a loss of revenue. We like to shop at Albertson's and hope this situation can be remedied.
coworker I work with
I work with a co-worker named Tina Morgan. I have only talked to her 2 maybe 3 times and all those times she has cussed at me. She is higher up then me so she should show some type of maturity and professionalism. She also used to work on the front end bagging and doing check stands when she is on light duty. Even after a boss told her so. I wasn't sure on how else to contact or make a complaint. I have told managers my story and I don't know if they took it serious or not so now I'm writing this hopefully to the higher up people such as corporate.
albertsons app
For the second time in a week I went into Albertsons to redeem my app coupons. And because I did not enter my phone number in BEFORE the cashier rang up my purchase I did not get the coupon price or the 5% off my purchase. I have shopped a Albertsons for MANY years, but alas this will stop. The first time was with a cashier that did not seem to know what he was doing so I thought after he rang it up the second time AFTER I PUT IN MY PHONE NUMBER and did not get the $10 off I thought he had made an error. The error is with Albertsons, not the cashiers.
service and machines
I shop at the Albertson's near work. It has been my experience that the machines are way to slow to process effectively. The lines are long and inefficient for the amount of shoppers needing service.
You need to update the debt/credit machines and hire more check out folks. Every time I go in during lunch I walk away. It is overcrowded and the lines are way too long to be efficient. The checkers tell me the machines are too slow and outdated.
If you want to make money and have a good service for the folks of the community, please re-evaluate the efficiency of the store. It is one of the most consistently backed up slow service store I have ever encountered.
Here is the address:
5881 E Charleston Blvd
Please for the sake of the community, correct this slow outdated machines and hire more checkers during peak hours.

the manager denise l's attitude at 89138 location on charleston on 10.15.17 at night
About the Manager Denise L's attitude at 89138 Location on Charleston on 10.15.17 at night around 7 to 9 PM or so.
She had the worse attitude I ever encountered in the service industry, rude and condescending. At the check-out, I asked her to double bag things, and she started arguing with me, and refused. Not even in a nice matter, just flat out cold, arrogant, and mean. she thinks she is a big-shot manager that she does not need to be nice to customers. I needed those bags for special reasons, and she is the 1st one refused in the history of my grocery shopping, and I spent an average of $500.00 weekly on grocery bills. I will have to go to Smith's now instead to avoid her.
service
10/15/17 Around 7:30 pm The night supervisor is a young unfriendly man. He is bad to the customers but worse with his employees. I don't think it's based of race but out of ignorance. It's unfortunate that you hired such a young ill manner daddy's boy. That's probably why he got the job.
Thank god for other stores like Smith's here is Santa Fe NM.

complete systemic failure of store management
This is being reported on 10/15/2017 for the Alebertson's grocery store located at 6600 E Grant Rd, Tucson, Az.
I've been coming to this store for 2 years since it is literally 3 minutes from my home. It is poorly managed and employees are not encouraged to be aware of customers.
1. Often out of or under stocked on sale items.
2. Deli counter is often understaffed and they are in the back doing prep.
3. When the register is backed up, they don't call for a bagger or open another register.
4. Management and staff have no sense of urgency and don't "flow" to the customers.
5. Management makes excuses but nothing ever changes.
The above overview is indicative of a poorly managed operation and a failure to build awareness in the attitudes of the employees. It is understandable that the low volume of this store is a result of these things despite it being in a fantastic location with lots of potential customer traffic. Obviously the local population has figured this out. I assume they shop elsewhere. I've addressed my concerns to various managers to no avail. Very frustrating
customer service false advertising
I've been a faithful Albertson's customer for the last five years until more recent months. When they started the gas reward program and moved over to the Von's cashiering system that seems to be when the decline in customer service and false advertising started. The cashiering system is so backwards that it does not show you the correct sales price on the screen until AFTER the cashier hits the total button. Only at that point does it show your discounts but even then you can't tell if you got discounts correct line item by line item until you take a look at your printed receipt. AND if the cashier hits total before you enter your phone number well the entire transaction will have to be cancelled and rerung again in order for you to enter your phone number for your discount to apply, what [censor] created this system?! Additionally, the gas rewards as so fraudulent I am surprised there has not been a lawsuit for the misrepresentation of the supposed discount you get. Even at thirty cents off a gallon the gas stations you get to go to are anywhere from thirty to fifty cents higher a gallon than the other competitor gas stations so you honestly you are not getting a break in the dollar amount you pay for gas no matter what kind of pretend discount Albertson's is claiming to offer you. Finally, have you noticed that now Albertson's has discontinued their buy 5 specials? This was one of the biggest reasons why I shopped at the store on a regular basis and now with the buy 5 phased out and this new pretend "lower" prices phased in, I have no choice but to shop at Stater Brothers or Wal-Mart. Alberton's you have disappointed me!
service - harassment by employees
I went shopping at Albertson's (Casa Linda Plaza, 320 Casa Linda Plaza, Dallas, TX 75218), on Thursday, October 5th around 2:30pm CST. Upon entering the store, I noticed a medium height white male (Steve Marza) and a tall black woman (Dinah Jackson) following me around the store. They appear to be more corporate, in appearance, as though they are both part of the management of the store. I have seen them follow me around the store before, but they were more extreme and obvious on this particular shopping visit. I started shopping in the produce section and they were within 2 to 3 feet of me. They appeared as though they were pretending to be doing a store audit. As I continued shopping, I was in many sections throughout the store, they appeared to be within 1 to 3 feet of me wherever I went (not exaggerating) and would continuously walk by me smirking/smiling as though they thought what they were doing was funny and cute. They were blatant, in a covert way, in watching me and making sure that my experience was uncomfortable. When they walked past me, in the juice aisle, I asked both of them for their names and they told me their names were Steve Marza and Dinah Jackson, respectively. I confronted them and said that it appears as though they were following me around the store. They responded by saying no that they were both doing a store audit, which was always 1 to 3 feet from where I would be in the store. After the confrontation, they split up and I decided that I would go to the checkout and pay for my groceries. Dinah Jackson followed behind me and was about 2 to 3 cash registers over from where I checked out. She was on the phone, at that cash register, while she was facing in my direction. Steve Marza came to the front of the store, in the aisle near the cashier checkout where I paid for my groceries. He temporarily went into the “employees only” area, in that aisle, near the checkout and the front of the store. Mr. Marza then came out of the “employees only” area and paced the aisle, in front of the cashier checkout where I paid for my groceries, while trying not to make eye contact. After I paid for my groceries and proceeded to walk out of the store, another employee (non management clerk) walked past me and said “goodbye”. Again, this was a blatant attempt to make me feel unwelcomed at Albertson's. What took place was OUTRIGHT HARASSMENT and this is not the first time that I have been followed around in this store.
First, I want to start by saying that I am a TARGETED INDIVIDUAL. Without going into too many details, I have been targeted for harassment, blacklisted from most segments of society and my movements are being monitored 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, due to corruption. As a result, I am on a Watchlist (most likely the Terrorist Watchlist). There are no real requirements for why people are placed on these lists (refer to congressional watchlist hearings in 2009), but one can easily be placed on these lists if anger a well connected individual. I am aware this means that neighborhood establishments are contacted and alerted whenever I am in their area and/or going into a particular store.
I have never committed a crime or exhibited violence towards anyone. I have frequented Albertson's, on many occasion, and have never caused any trouble. I basically mind my business and shop for my groceries and do NOT deserve this type of treatment. I refuse to be intimidated or run out of your store and want something to be done regarding this behavior. Their are people in this store that even follow me out to the middle of the parking lot upon my leaving the store. This is absolutely uncalled for. I will continue to post complaints, on various sites/forums and other social media, until this matter is resolved.
customer service
I called into the butcher block at Cherry Lane in Meridian, Idaho and spoke with Sheri. I requested 5 lbs of chicken so I could make a quick stop and pick it up. She told me I could come in and order it. I explained to her that I didn't have much time and this needed to be a quick errand. She asked if I was on my way. I told her yes, I would be there in about ten minutes. Usually when I call in one of the gentlemen working answers and don't give me this much trouble, and are very pleasant to talk to. When I arrived, I had a quick exchange for the product with Sheri informing her I was the person who called about the 5 lbs of chicken. Nothing else was said between us besides thank you and have a nice day. When I get home to clean the chicken, I was astonished. Every single breast had the most fat I've ever had to cut off. Which to no surprise, saved me no time between that and writing this complaint. I get through them as quickly as I can and get to the last piece. Half of this breast was red and full of veins. I couldn't cut it out, I tried to at first. But they were very deep. I had to throw half of the breast away. Honestly, I don't know if it was veins or blood. Sheri may have just personally butchered it and threw it in the bag. I think next time I call in and Sheri answers, I will wait until there is a shift change or buy elsewhere if needed. The quality of your meat and products are above those around, but I sure don't want to waste my time and money throwing half of what I purchase in the garbage. This was very disappointing. I always have a good experience when I shop at Albertson's. I fill my prescriptions there, I am there several days a week picking up pantry items. I hope Sheri doesn't treat everybody this way.
digital coupons
I do not have a smart phone, I am a senior citizen, I feel I am being punished by not being able to get the best prices because I am unable to afford a smartphone. You bend over backwards for people on wic, and foodtamps, but you cannot help your elderly customers who have worked hard all their lives and earn their money. This company makes me mad and others feel the same, I will not make albersons my local store and will shop at QFC where I get the service and respect
