Amazon Prime Disappointing Amazon Prime Experience: Not Worth the Cost

I was pretty excited to sign up for Amazon Prime, thinking that the extra services would be totally worth the cost. But, turns out, it's not all it's cracked up to be. Prime books is definitely not the same as Kindle Unlimited, and Prime music is only a half version of Amazon's full music service. And, if you want the full experience, you have to sign up for additional services and pay even more money. I mean, I guess that was probably in the fine print somewhere, but it's still pretty disappointing.

I did get an email promising a $15 promo if I made a $30+ purchase, which sounded pretty sweet. I had a few things in my cart that Santa forgot to bring me, so I figured I'd take advantage of the deal. But, when I went to check out, there was no promo. I read the fine print again and realized that the purchase had to be made on the mobile app and the products had to be sold and distributed by Amazon. Oops. So, I went back to my cart, removed some things, added some others, and checked all the boxes. But, still no promo. I searched online for a bit, but couldn't find anything helpful. So, I decided to contact customer service.

I initiated a chat and things were looking up. The rep said she needed a copy of the email Amazon sent me, which seemed a little weird, but I forwarded it anyway. She confirmed that the promo should have applied and went to talk to her Lead. When she came back, she asked if the order was placed on the app and if the products were sold and distributed by Amazon. I mean, it's Amazon's app, so you'd think they would know, but I confirmed anyway. She went back to her Lead again and then offered me a $5 courtesy promo instead of fixing the problem. I was pretty annoyed at this point, so I asked for my Prime membership to be cancelled. And, instead of trying to keep my business and make me happy, she cheerfully cancelled my membership.

So, I didn't end up making the $30+ purchase, I cancelled my $119 membership, and now I'm one very grumpy customer. All because they didn't want to give me the $10 ($15-5) they had promised me in the email. My advice? Don't bother with Amazon Prime. If you can get the best price there, take advantage of the regular free shipping, but for other services, use one of the better rated ones available for music or books or video.

Amazon Prime Amazon's Refund and Shipping Policies: A Customer's Disappointment

I used to be a big fan of Amazon, but after the recent Christmas debacle, I'm not so sure anymore. I mean, what's the point of paying over $15 a month for Amazon Prime if they can't even deliver on their promises? And don't even get me started on their refund policy. When I canceled my order, I got a notice saying that my transaction was being reviewed. Two days later, I got another notice saying that my refund had been issued, but I still haven't received my money back yet. What's up with that? It's like Amazon can immediately withdraw your funds, but they can't immediately refund them. And it's not just me - I've heard from other people that they've had similar experiences with Amazon's refund policy.

But it's not just the refund policy that's the problem. Amazon's shipping experience is also a mess. I ordered a product on the 19th, and it was supposed to be delivered on the 22nd. But every day from the 22nd to the 25th, the status said that it was out for delivery. Finally, after Christmas, I got a notice saying that my delivery was going to be late. No kidding! It's like Amazon thinks that their customers are stupid and can't figure out what's going on.

And don't even get me started on Amazon's review policy. They used to let you write reviews about anything, but now they've changed the process so that it's harder to write negative reviews. It's like they're trying to cover up their failures and make themselves look good to investors. But what about the consumers? What about us? We're the ones who are paying for Amazon's services, and we deserve better.

So, my advice to anyone who's thinking about using Amazon is to review their return policies carefully. Don't just assume that they're going to do the right thing - because they might not. And if you do have a problem with Amazon, don't be afraid to speak up. They might try to silence you, but you have a right to be heard.

Amazon Prime Beware of Amazon Prime: My Experience with Unwanted Charges and Lack of Notifications

So, I tried out Amazon Prime for the first time in December and it was pretty cool. I ordered a few things and they came super fast, like within a couple of days. Then, a couple of my friends asked if they could use my account for the free shipping and I was like, "Sure, why not?" One friend used an Amazon gift card and the other used her debit card to buy a few things. None of the items were expensive, but I got emails every time something was ordered from my account.

Anyway, a whole month went by and I never got any emails or notifications saying that my free trial was about to expire or had expired. I didn't even know until a third friend asked me if I still had Prime. I never got any warnings when I was on Amazon on my phone or laptop, so I was like, "I don't know." Just to be safe, I logged onto my Amazon account on my phone in January and cancelled my Prime membership. The page said it was cancelled and then the website refreshed to the home page. But, I never got an email or notification or anything, so I just assumed it was cancelled and forgot about it.

Fast forward a few weeks to February and my second friend, the one who used her debit card, freaked out because she got charged $116 from Amazon.com on her card that had less than $10 on it. Plus, she got overdraft fees from her bank. I was never informed that my free trial was over and that one of the cards on my account was being automatically charged over $100. The card that got charged was my friend's, it was under a different name, and it wasn't even the main card connected to my account.

So, I logged onto my account on my laptop and saw that her card got charged in January, but she didn't get a bill until almost three weeks later. I cancelled my membership on my phone, but apparently it didn't go through properly. And, of course, I wasn't notified about anything. So, I cancelled my membership again on my laptop and I'm in the process of getting a refund for my friend's card.

Honestly, I'm still pretty angry that I was never informed about my Prime membership becoming official and charging me $100. But, Amazon can inform me about "This week's deals!" so easily. Hmm... okay. I've actually talked to a few other people who had the same thing happen to them. So, just be careful if you try out Amazon Prime.

Amazon Prime Is Amazon Prime Worth the Money? A Critical Review of Its Benefits and Drawbacks

I gotta say, I signed up for Amazon Prime and I'm not sure it's worth the money. They push the free shipping angle hard, but it turns out that only applies to a limited number of products on their site - maybe only 20-30%. And even if you don't have Prime, you can still get free shipping if you spend over 29 euros. Plus, sometimes they don't even deliver your stuff on time or at all, and you have to hassle with customer service to get your money back. And if you're trying to pick up your stuff at an Amazon hub, forget about it if it's heavy or bulky.

Then there's Prime Video, which is supposed to be this great perk of the Prime membership. But honestly, a lot of the movies and TV shows they have are already available for free on other sites like YouTube or Dailymotion. And for the stuff that isn't free, you have to pay extra on top of your Prime membership. Plus, the selection isn't even that great - you could probably watch everything they have in a year or less. And even when you do find something you want to watch, the video player can be glitchy and frustrating. And don't even get me started on the fact that a lot of the content isn't even in Italian - you have to settle for subtitles.

All that being said, if you're someone who buys a ton of stuff on Amazon, Prime might be worth it for you. But for most people, I'd say just sign up for the free trial and cancel it before they start charging you.

Amazon Prime Mixed Feelings About Amazon Prime: A Review of Customer Service and Streaming Issues

I have been an Amazon Prime member for a while now and I have to say, I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, there are some great perks like free two-day shipping and access to a wide range of movies and TV shows. However, there have been a few instances where I have had some issues with the service.

One such instance was when my son and I wanted to watch an animated movie called Fly Me to the Moon. I was excited to see that it was available for free on Amazon Prime, but when I started playing it, I realized that it was in Spanish. I called the Amazon Prime customer service center and spoke to a woman named Marie. She was very kind and friendly and tried to help me resolve the issue. However, she informed me that the free version of the movie was only available in Spanish and if I wanted to watch it in English, I would have to subscribe to HBO.

Being a frugal person, I decided to take advantage of the free 7-day trial of HBO that Marie mentioned. She told me to hit subscribe on my TV and assured me that I would not be charged by Xfinity for the subscription. However, just 10 minutes into the movie, I received a text notification on my cell phone thanking me for the subscription that was charged to my Xfinity account for $26! I was also charged for purchasing the movie Fly Me to the Moon for $19.99.

I was extremely frustrated and called Xfinity to have the HBO subscription removed from my account. They were gracious enough to do so and even gave me a free movie coupon in place of the movie purchase that could not be refunded. However, my frustration did not end there. I received a review text from Amazon Prime asking me to rate my experience with the customer service associate. I gave her 5 stars for being friendly, but only 1 star for resolving my issue as it only made things worse.

To my surprise, two days later, I received a call from Amazon on my cell phone from the same customer service associate. She asked me why I gave her a bad review and I was livid. I demanded to speak to her supervisor and she hung up on me. She called me again the next day claiming to be a manager and asked me to explain why I gave her a bad review. I again asked to speak to a manager and she hung up on me once again.

I immediately called Amazon Prime and reported the incident. Since then, I have noticed some strange things happening on my Amazon Prime Video account and I am not sure if it is related to the incident or not. I am hoping that Amazon Prime can resolve the issue and ensure that their customer service associates are trained to handle situations professionally and respectfully.

Amazon Prime Amazon Prime Review: Is It Worth the Hype and Cost?

I've been shopping on Amazon for years and they always kept pushing their "Prime" service on me. I finally decided to give it a try during the holiday season. They promise free two-day shipping, unlimited streaming of movies, music, and Kindle, and special prices on certain items. I found a deep fryer that was $20 cheaper with Prime, but I later discovered that the "special" price was actually the same as other online stores like Walmart and Target. I ordered it anyway and it arrived in the same amount of time as it would have without Prime. The same was true for all my Christmas presents. Shipping and handling were free, but I started to wonder if the $99/year membership was worth it.

It's important to note that not all merchandise is marked "Prime" and some Amazon vendors don't honor Prime, which means you'll have to pay for shipping and handling. The S&H can be hefty, sometimes more than the product is worth.

The free "unlimited" streaming music/movies/TV they offered was a huge disappointment. The selection was limited and the good stuff cost money. I wrote to Amazon customer service and received a response in broken English from Taiwan. They apologized for my dissatisfaction and asked if their response was helpful. I said no and explained in more detail why I was unhappy. I received a response from India in broken English saying they couldn't help me because my problem was beyond their scope. I was disappointed with their customer service.

I finished my Christmas shopping, but I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. I cancelled Prime as soon as the reminder arrived. Since then, I haven't ordered anything from Amazon. Unless you plan on buying a hundred items a month or you're into media that only came out in the last few years, I wouldn't recommend signing up for Prime.

Amazon Prime Amazon Prime Review: Is It Worth the Cost? Pros, Cons, and Features Explained

I shop a lot on Amazon because I earn digital gift cards through Swagbucks. Every month, I can purchase a $25 Amazon gift card at a reduced amount of Swagbucks, so it's a great deal for me. There are other gift cards and sweepstakes that can be entered into, or the Swagbucks can be donated.

Amazon Prime is definitely not for everyone. For a long time, I was content without Prime. When I started doing product reviews of products purchased through Amazon, I decided it would be better to have a Prime membership. Without a Prime membership, I have to have a total of $45 or $25 worth of books in my cart in order to get free shipping. This free shipping method is very slow but had worked great for us for years even though the minimum price used to be lower.

Once I joined Prime, I started looking at all the other features they offer. The first feature I checked out was Amazon Music. I do not know how it works for non-Prime members, but for Prime members, we have a large selection of music available for streaming either through an app or the website. There are a lot of premade playlists, which is what I listen to so I can hear music I may not normally think to listen to. The selection is extensive, and this has been my favorite feature because I listen to it every morning at work, and no one gets sick of the songs.

Another big feature is Amazon Movies. Again, it's through an app or the website. There are many movies and TV shows available for Prime members to watch for free. Others have rental and purchasing options. The selection of free movies and shows will change out as licensing agreements expire. What is available today may not be available next week. If you create a playlist and view it on a computer, you can hover your mouse over the titles in the playlist to see when they will be removed. After getting Prime, I decided to get the Amazon Fire Stick, which we now have two, so I can enjoy Amazon Prime Movies better. We also sideloaded them with Kodi. I use a lot of my slow shipping $1 digital credits for movies and seasons of my favorite TV shows.

For readers, each month there is a list of 4 to 6 soon-to-be-released books that are offered to Amazon Prime members. Each Prime member can choose 1 free book. Sometimes there might be an option to choose 2, but I haven't seen that, but I didn't know about this feature until recently. There are some other features, but those are the main ones and the ones I use most.

Prime Pantry is another feature. It isn't a favorite for me. They offer select items at a lower price for a $5.99 shipping fee. Every month they provide a code for free shipping on a Prime Pantry order if you purchase 5 items from a selected list. The code can be stacked with a Prime Pantry credit from slow shipping. Each box can fit a certain amount, and more than that creates more boxes and more shipping fees. These boxes can get heavy! There are some great deals in Prime Pantry, and if you take advantage of coupons and codes, it is very valuable! These boxes do not ship as 2-day shipping.

Obviously, the main feature of Amazon Prime is the 2-day shipping and free shipping. The 2-day shipping has some exclusions. Some items may need to be handled differently by carrier services, so there might be a delay. If it can be sent by airmail, there might be a delay. Sometimes an item may be out of stock, and Amazon knows it will be arriving very soon, or it has arrived but hasn't been put out in the warehouse yet. Amazon knows these things, and most of the time their computers are able to come up with a delivery date based on all the input and previous shipments. On the final ordering screen prior to checking out, you can see the expected shipping date. On occasion, the estimated shipping date on the product page may be off. That information is based on a generalized shipment, but when you go to check out, it may change because it's going to a different address as a gift, or the current address is not the main address on the account. After the order is placed, something may cause a delay, such as the inventory being off, and the product isn't in that warehouse, so it's coming from further away, or your order was the last one, and the order picker realizes it is damaged. There will be an email letting you know of any changes of the estimated delivery date, later or sooner. Most of the time, I receive a shipping sooner notice, so it appears that the computer overestimates those situations, whatever it may be.

If you have a range of dates for the expected delivery date, then it is likely that it was purchased from a 3rd party seller. Very few exceptions exist for this, which one is that the order is a preorder, and another is that the item is out of stock, and Amazon doesn't know exactly when to expect it. 3rd party sellers that don't use fulfilled by Amazon do not have 2-day shipping. If they do use FBA, not all their products may be FBA.

Once it has shipped, the countdown begins for 2-day deliveries. Even though USPS delivers every day except some holidays for Amazon, and UPS delivers on Saturdays, Saturdays and Sundays aren't counted as business days. If the order was not a slow shipping order, and the package arrived late, Amazon is usually really nice about providing compensation once in a while. This usually includes a month extension on your prime, a refund of any shipping costs, and/or a small promotional credit. Amazon uses a variation of package carriers, and sometimes they even use 2 carriers for one package. These are when they ship the package through a parcel company such as UPS, and UPS hands it off to the local USPS office to be delivered with the daily mail. If the UPS driver is scheduled to be in the area that day, they may just deliver it themselves. UPS gives the option for an upgrade at a fee to have UPS deliver it. USPS has a contract with Amazon to have Sunday deliveries for their packages. This helps most USPS offices anyways because if they skip a day, the following days are very heavy on them.

Each carrier had a large variety of complaints, and Amazon always gets threats from customers threatening to shop elsewhere if they refuse to stop using a certain carrier. That won't be happening because the majority of customers are happy with their services. My carriers are all great.

Amazon Prime has been a great benefit for us. We can order any time we want, which we do. I usually use slow shipping because I like to help ease the congestion at Amazon and the carrier's facility. Plus, I love the credits, even the $5.99 pantry credit.

Again, Amazon Prime is not beneficial for everyone, so I highly recommend weighing out the pros and cons. You can sign up for a free 30-day trial to check it out. If you are a student with an edu email, you can try a 6-month free trial and enjoy discounted Prime after that.

If you sign up for a trial, please make sure to cancel it if you aren't interested because it will auto-renew. If it does, Amazon will refund you. If you cancel midway through your membership, Amazon will prorate a refund for you if you ask.

Amazon Prime Amazon Prime's 'Guaranteed Next Day' Delivery Service: A Disappointing and Frustrating Experience

I recently had an experience with Amazon Prime that left me feeling extremely disappointed and frustrated. I placed an order for around ?250 worth of items on December 18th, using their Prime 'Guaranteed Next Day' delivery service. The order consisted of 11 different items, which were all gifts for my family and friends for Christmas. I chose Amazon because they have always been a reliable and reputable company with excellent customer service, so I felt confident that everything would arrive in time for the holidays. Unfortunately, this was not the case.

The next day, nothing arrived. I wasn't too worried at first, since my family wasn't coming to visit until the following Saturday, but when only 3 of the 11 items turned up on Wednesday, I started to get concerned. By Thursday, nothing had arrived, and on Friday morning, I received a call from my sister (whose address the parcels were due to arrive at) telling me that most of the items had still not arrived. She was starting to worry, since they needed to be wrapped and ready for the following day when my visiting family members would arrive. I decided to take a break from work and call Amazon's customer service department to see what was going on.

I spoke to a member of their team who looked into the situation and found that the items had not been delivered, but assured me that they would most likely arrive later that day. I explained my situation and told them that if the items did not turn up, I would be stuck with nothing to give to my family on Christmas day. I asked them to look into the situation again and guarantee that the items would arrive, but the call suddenly ended. I called back and spoke to another customer service agent, but they also hung up on me. By this point, I was getting very frustrated, but I had no choice but to call them again.

It was now 3:00pm, and I had already wasted half an hour of my working day trying to sort out the situation. I spoke to a third customer service agent, who assured me that the items would definitely arrive by 9pm that night. I explained that I needed this guarantee, since if the items did not arrive, I would not have time to go Christmas shopping that day to replace them. After some deliberation, the agent agreed to double-check and then informed me that the parcels would not be arriving after all.

I was absolutely furious by this point. After waiting for 5 days for their 'Guaranteed Next Day' delivery and spending an hour on the phone with 3 different people, they were telling me that they could not deliver my parcels. They did not even have the decency to contact me and let me know what was going on. If my sister had not contacted me, I would not have known until the following day, which would have been too late.

I continued my conversation with the third agent and explained that I was disgusted by their level of service. My only option was to finish work early, travel to the town centre, and spend the rest of my afternoon and evening shopping for presents that I did not have the money for, since I had already spent it with Amazon. They offered me a ?5 Amazon gift card and 1 month free Amazon Prime, which I felt was insulting given the situation. They then offered me a refund, but I told them that it did not compensate me for the situation they had caused. I would be making a complaint and closing down my account, which I had held for over 10 years and spent thousands of pounds with. The agent then spoke to their manager and agreed to fulfill the order and issue me a full refund for the items not yet received. Although I was not happy about having to leave work and roam around the town centre buying presents, I felt this was fair compensation given the situation.

I arrived in a busy town centre and attempted to find anything suitable with the money I had on my card. I entered Toys R Us and grabbed some toys for my niece and nephew, but when I tried to pay, my card was declined. I tried again, but there was no money in my account. I left Toys R Us and went to a Cashpoint machine, where I discovered that my refund had not yet arrived. I contacted Amazon's live chat, and they told me that the refund would arrive in 5-7 working days. Desperate, I called a friend who lent me ?50, which was not enough for all 8 gifts, but it was better than nothing. I spent the rest of my evening around town buying anything I could find, aware that the items should arrive later and I could try to post them later.

Christmas came and went without too much trouble, but in the first week of January, I realized that the items had still not been delivered. I decided to call Amazon again, but the call hung up after a few words. I called back and spoke to another agent, who told me that my refund had been issued. I explained that I had received the refund but was still waiting for the items. The agent said that the items had been returned and would not be sent out again. I explained that I was supposed to receive the items as per the agreement I made with them on December 22nd, but there were no notes on the system to this effect. The agent agreed to raise the issue with a manager for investigation, and I would receive an email in 5-7 days.

Two weeks later, I still had no email or items, so I called Amazon again. After being hung up on three times and spending around 45 minutes on the phone, I finally spoke to a supervisor. They told me that there were no notes on the system and no investigation had been done. They promised to call me back the following day at 5:00pm once the investigation was complete. I waited by the phone but did not receive a call. I checked my Amazon account and found a message saying that they were sorry they couldn't reach me and that I was misinformed about receiving the items. They told me to call back for more information.

I have given up trying to deal with Amazon's customer service team. The entire experience was disgraceful, and they should be ashamed of how they treated me as a loyal customer of 10 years. I will be closing my account with them and posting my experience on every major review site online, as well as telling all my friends and family. Amazon has embarrassed me at what should have been a happy time of year, and they don't seem to care about their customers anymore. I will be reporting them to the Advertising Standards Agency regarding their false advertising claims and speaking to BBC's Watchdog about my case. If anyone else has had a similar experience, please let me know so we can potentially work together in holding Amazon to account for their false claims and poor customer service.

Amazon Prime Mixed Experience with Amazon Prime: Quality Issues, Bait-and-Switch, and Navigation Challenges

My experience with Amazon Prime has been a mixed bag. On one hand, I was excited to purchase my first Kindle and found a beautiful cover on Amazon. However, the quality of the cover was not up to par and started showing signs of wear just a few months after I bought it. It's disappointing to see something you spent money on not hold up over time.

I also signed up for Amazon Prime TV, which includes access to a variety of series. However, I quickly realized that they only give you enough to get hooked before making you pay for each episode or wait years for Prime access. It's frustrating to feel like you're being baited into paying more money.

Another issue I've had with Amazon is the varying quality of products from their vendors. I purchased batteries for my phone, but they turned out to be crap. The vendor replaced them with more crap several times, which was a waste of time and money. It seems like Amazon doesn't care about the quality of their vendors as long as they're making money.

To make matters worse, Amazon's website can be difficult to navigate. They hide things you need, like your list of books on your Kindle, and they've moved it several times, making it harder to find each time. It's frustrating to have to search for something that should be easily accessible.

While Amazon Prime has its benefits, I personally prefer doing business with companies that I can count on for high-quality products and services. Companies like eBay and Costco provide great customer service, long-term well-reviewed vendors, and products. Why settle for mediocre at best?

I canceled my Prime account over a year ago, but recently received a free month membership with a purchase. I'll do further analysis and decide if they've improved before deciding whether to renew my membership.

Amazon Prime Disappointed with Amazon Prime's Return Policy Changes and Customer Service

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Amazon Prime lately. I used to be a big fan because of how easy it was to return items and get quick refunds. But now, things have changed and it's not as convenient as it used to be.

If you're a frequent shopper like me, you know that when you request a return, you can use a QR code that gets scanned at a UPS store and most returns are free. And if you choose to get a credit to your Amazon account, it used to be credited as soon as the item was scanned. But not anymore.

I recently had to return some items and it took me three whole weeks and four phone calls to figure out that the credit won't show up on my Amazon account until 7 days AFTER they receive the item. And it takes even longer for a refund to your form of payment. I mean, come on! I sent those items back two weeks ago and they were just received today. Now I have to wait seven more days for the credit to be available on my Amazon account. And to make matters worse, I was told I would be emailed with an update 5 days ago, but I haven't heard anything yet.

This is a huge policy change that I don't appreciate at all. And the lack of understanding and customer service is really disappointing, especially since it used to be excellent. I used to love Amazon Prime, but now I'm not so sure. I'll definitely be cutting way back on my purchases, including clothes, shoes, cleaning supplies, beauty products, furniture, pet supplies, electronics, and more.

Amazon Prime Amazon Prime Review: False Promises of Free Delivery and Limited Selection of Movies and TV Shows

Amazon Prime is a service that promises free delivery, but in reality, it only applies to a small selection of products available on Amazon. What's worse is that non-Prime customers are tricked into signing up for Prime (at least the free trial, which must be canceled within 30 days of registration, otherwise it becomes a paid service) because, at the time of purchase of a product that has shipping costs, a message appears inviting them to sign up for Prime to save on those shipping costs. For example, if shipping costs 5.99 euros, the message appears stating that you can save 5.99 euros on shipping with Prime. All of this is clearly false, as free delivery with Prime is only possible on certain products and not all of them. In fact, after starting the free trial of Prime, I still had to pay for shipping costs that Amazon suggested I could save by signing up for Prime!

Furthermore, when it comes to movies and TV shows available on Prime, there is certainly not the same selection as there is on Netflix, and many series are not even dubbed in Italian, while several films (especially older ones) are also available on YouTube or Dailymotion.

Despite these drawbacks, Amazon Prime does have some benefits. For example, it offers access to Amazon's streaming music service, as well as free access to a selection of e-books and magazines. Additionally, Prime members can take advantage of exclusive discounts and early access to certain products on Amazon.

Overall, while Amazon Prime may not be the perfect service, it does offer some useful features for those who frequently shop on Amazon. However, it's important to be aware of the limitations and not to be fooled by false promises of free delivery on all products.

Amazon Prime Amazon Prime Overcharged Me and Couldn't Explain Why: A Disappointing Experience

I recently signed up for Amazon Prime, which costs $12.99 per month. They had an introductory offer of $1.99 for one week, which I decided to try out. However, I only wanted the one shipment/one week service, so I cancelled right away. According to my calculations, I should have been billed $1.99 plus 6% tax ($.12 for Ky sales tax) for a total of $2.11. But when I checked my credit card statement, I was charged $2.16 instead.

I was confused and concerned about this overcharge, so I contacted Amazon via Synchrony Bank, which handles my credit card for Amazon. Unfortunately, the representative I spoke to was unable to provide me with any further information beyond saying that it was taxes. It seemed like they were just reading from a script and couldn't give me any real answers.

This experience left me feeling worried and frustrated. I don't understand why Amazon and Synchrony Bank would overcharge customers and then claim it's for taxes. I've never had this issue with Amazon before, as they always charge the correct tax (6%) on all the products I've ordered. So why is Prime being billed incorrectly?

It's concerning to me that Amazon would inflate the actual published price of a service without providing any explanation or justification for it. If they're going to charge a service fee, it should be clearly spelled out on their website. I don't like feeling like I've been scammed or treated dishonestly.

Overall, I'm disappointed with my experience with Amazon Prime. While I appreciate the convenience of their service, this overcharge has left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope that Amazon will take steps to address this issue and provide more transparency in their billing practices.

Amazon Prime Amazon Prime: Not Worth the Money Anymore

I've been a member of Amazon Prime for a good 3 years now. Back when I first signed up, it only cost me $75 a year and I could get my hands on ANYTHING they sold with my Prime membership. But let me tell you, things have changed a lot since then. Nowadays, it's $99 a year and only certain things are covered by "Prime." It's just not worth it anymore, if you ask me.

I've been ordering things lately and instead of getting my items in two days, as per my $99/year membership, my orders are getting split up and I'm receiving "1" out of 4 items in 2 days...as per my $99/year waste of $$$. It's just not fair, you know? I mean, I'm paying all this money and I'm not even getting what I paid for.

That's why I've been spending more and more time on EBay these days. At least I KNOW to expect scams and thieves on EBay. Amazon just hides it real good. The sad part is I have spent THOUSANDS $$$ on Amazon as a Prime member because it USED TO be so much of a time saver and I started to get spoiled receiving my items in 2 days, but now good luck finding items that AREN'T sold by 3rd party sellers (hence not bound by the 2day delivery promise you get as a "Prime Member").

I'm not repeating the same mistake for a fourth year in a row by giving them ANOTHER $99. I truthfully only kept it this year because my 6yr old autistic daughter watches her shows on Amazon Video, but I can get Roku and save $90...and not have that "gotta take a shower" dirty feeling for being ripped off AGAIN.

So, folks, learn from my mistakes and don't get suckered in!

Amazon Prime Disappointing Amazon Prime Service: Late Deliveries, High Prices, and Poor Customer Service

I've been a member of Amazon Prime for quite some time now, but I have to say, I'm not too happy with the service lately. I ordered a roll of plastic bags on October 11th and was supposed to receive it on Saturday, but it's been almost two weeks and I still haven't received it. The delivery time keeps getting pushed further and further back, which is really frustrating. I mean, what's the point of paying for Prime delivery if I have to wait this long for an item? It's not like I'm getting it for free - I'm paying for it!

It's not just the delivery time that's bothering me, though. I've noticed that almost everything on Amazon is priced way higher than it should be. It's like someone is making a ton of money off of us, and there's very little accountability in their own department. It's really disheartening to see a company that used to be so customer-focused become so profit-driven.

To make matters worse, it's almost impossible to get in touch with someone from Amazon to voice your complaints. When I called customer service, I was connected with someone in India who had terrible English and seemed uncomfortable writing a complaint. And even when I did get an email response, it just told me that my item would be delivered by a certain date - which turned out to be wrong, by the way.

It's frustrating to feel like there's no direct contact between customers and Amazon representatives. It's like they don't really care about our issues or concerns. And to top it all off, I've noticed that my negative reviews don't even make it to the Amazon reviews page. It's like they're trying to hide anything negative about their service, which is just awful.

Overall, I'm really disappointed with Amazon Prime lately. I hope they start to focus more on their customers and less on their profits, because right now, it feels like they're just taking advantage of us.

Amazon Prime Amazon's Review Policies are Unfair and Untrustworthy: A Call for Change

I gotta say, Amazon Prime is a pretty sweet deal. You get free two-day shipping on a ton of stuff, access to a bunch of movies and TV shows, and even some free games and books. But let me tell ya, not everything on Amazon is created equal. Sometimes you order something from a third party and it's just straight up garbage. Like, what's the deal with that?

But here's the real kicker: Amazon's review policies are just plain BAD. I'm a Quality Control Checker for a bunch of companies, and I buy stuff on Amazon with my own money and then write unbiased reviews for them. And yeah, sometimes I get reimbursed or even paid extra for my trouble. But now, after being a Prime member since 2014, Amazon has gone and revoked my review privileges. They didn't even give me a reason why, just said their decision was final. That's just not right.

And don't even get me started on the reviews that ARE posted on Amazon. They're all just copied straight from the box, so how can you trust them? If Amazon really wants quality product reviews, they need to start looking at themselves first and stop treating their customers like garbage.

Honestly, I think it's time for a National Ban Amazon Purchase Week. Let's show this company that the customer comes first, and that we won't stand for their shoddy policies and lack of respect for our time and effort. We spend hours testing and measuring and taking pictures and videos of their products in action, and they can't even give us a little bit of respect in return? It's time for a change, people.

Amazon Prime Mixed feelings about Amazon Prime: Great for delivery, but streaming issues

So, I don't really know how we got Amazon Prime. Maybe my wife or I accidentally clicked on something or maybe we just wanted to try the free trial and forgot about it. But, after a month or so, we realized we were members and my wife was totally into it. I was also pleasantly surprised. There are so many 'prime' items available that come with free next day delivery. Since we buy quite a bit from Amazon, it saves us money and patience.

The Instant video was a big bonus with loads of TV and film available for free. You can also buy or rent the latest and most popular stuff. It's really convenient to have all of this in one place.

However, we've had some issues with the streaming service. After a few months, we got an Internet connection error when trying to watch any movies or shows. I tried to fix it myself, but it didn't work. So, I called Amazon and they blamed the TV, the Internet provider, and everything else. I pointed out that it was working fine before and that I can still use other Internet services through the smart TV like BBC iPlayer and even movie previews on Amazon. We agreed that I would try to reinstall the app and check my Wi-Fi. Since then, I've had Virgin Media come out and they tested everything, installed a new hub (even though the signal was perfect before and after), and purchased a Wi-Fi booster which has made sure the signal is full strength throughout the house. However, we still can't enjoy any streaming video. All we can do is pay for view and download to a device.

Overall, I think Amazon Prime is worth it for the free next day delivery and the Instant video. But, if we can't get the streaming service working again, we'll probably cancel our membership. I suspect that the issue is a lack of bandwidth at their end, but I'm not sure. As a system test analyst by trade, I know that these things can be complicated.

Amazon Prime Mixed Feelings About Amazon Prime: A Review of the Pros and Cons

I recently got a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, and let me tell you, it's got some good stuff, but it's not all sunshine and rainbows. If they don't start offering cable TV, they might be in trouble. The only real benefits are the free shipping and the TV shows and movies. But if you don't spend at least $150 on shipping a year, it's not worth it. I buy at least 50 items online a year, and I don't think it's worth it. You can find free shipping elsewhere or use their shipping pick up places.

During my free trial period, I ordered a dozen products. One came early, one came on time, and the others were late. The three biggest problems with Amazon Prime are the tracking, the delivery times, and the customer service. They say they have tracking, but it's not real tracking info. They change delivery times at any point and almost every time. The delivery time and date change almost every time, so don't trust it. They give no warning or reason, and it's frustrating. Their customer service is like an illness, they avoid you like the plague. It's very hard to even report anything. They have no email address, which used to be a rule of thumb that if a company had no email, they were a scam and you shouldn't do business with them. But that's all big business now. They have so many customers and advertising, and this generation of young people are dumb and are willing to let people steal from them and do nothing about it. Just like they let TikTok steal all their info and sell it and let the US government take away their free speech and other rights. Amazon knows all this, so they will avoid you and try to keep your money and give little to no service. So don't waste your money, pay the shipping or drive to your local UDF gas station and pick it up for free.
