They backdated the coverage date I asked for and won't fix their mistake even though I complained to the Marketplace
They backdated the coverage date I asked for and won't fix their mistake even though I complained to the Marketplace. They keep sending me bills for their error. Maybe they're doing shady billing stuff. I'm gonna report them to CMS.
I've been really disappointed and hurt by this company's service
I've been really disappointed and hurt by this company's service. From their billing department to customer service agents, they are unhelpful, disorganized, uninformed, and confusing. It's clear their goal is to give customers as little as possible or as many mixed-messages and incorrect information as they can.
Ambetter from New Hampshire Healthy Families is a real headache when it comes to premium payments
Ambetter from New Hampshire Healthy Families is a real headache when it comes to premium payments. They always mess it up, and even if you show them evidence, it's like talking to a brick wall. Oh, and keep an eye on your bank statements too! Right now, I'm stuck dealing with them because they're trying to cash a check for more money than it's actually written for. Can you believe it? I shudder to think about the nightmare they must be when it comes to filing a claim. It's already a struggle to get them to fix their blunders when they conveniently forget to record a premium payment.

I got charged twice for my insurance this month
I got charged twice for my insurance this month. They said they'd give me a refund in 7-10 days, but they took too much from my account and wouldn't give it back immediately, so I kept getting charged until I could add more money. I called today to see if my refund was ready after 8 days, but they said my account doesn't exist anymore. It feels like they're just trying to take my money.
I called Ambetter a few months ago to make sure my insurance got cancelled for February 'cause I moved outta state
I called Ambetter a few months ago to make sure my insurance got cancelled for February 'cause I moved outta state. When they asked if I needed coverage for February, I said no. But guess what? On 2/17/22, they charged me a whopping $636.80 for February and March! So, I called 'em up to fix this mess, but they wouldn't cooperate or take responsibility for not cancelling like I asked 'em to. Can you believe it?
After I canceled my plan, I was charged $211.89 the following month, even though I was assured that wouldn't happen
After I canceled my plan, I was charged $211.89 the following month, even though I was assured that wouldn't happen. They are currently refusing to refund the money. I decided to cancel my plan because my new job offers better coverage. This happened in November. When January arrived, they deducted $211.89 from my account and still haven't returned it. I called them, but I still haven't received the refund, despite being promised it would be in my account by Monday. They also told me I wouldn't have to pay in December, but the money was still taken from my account.

I'm a member of Ambetter NH Healthy Families exchange program
I'm a member of Ambetter NH Healthy Families exchange program. I got an online account with them. I can't access my account no more. I've been tryin' for weeks to get back in. Their account recovery system don't work. I've spent over 90 minutes on the phone with 'em, tried emailin' 'em over and over. Nothin' works. I can't get into my account, check my bills, or pay my premiums. I might lose my insurance 'cause their customer service is so bad. Look at the picture I attached, there ain't no button to ask for an email to be sent again. I never got an email 'bout my password. I do get other notifications. Their system is messed up and they don't seem able or willin' to help.
I just signed up for healthcare with Ambetter NH
I just signed up for healthcare with Ambetter NH. I paid my first month's premium when I signed up. Then, on 2/28/2022, I paid my premium for March through their website. I also enrolled in auto pay so I don't miss any payments. But on 2/28/2022, they charged me twice. I called Ambetter and told them they double charged me for March. They said they would refund my card. However, it's been a week and I haven't received a refund or a confirmation email. So, I called again today and they said the refund was denied. Instead, they credited my account for next month. The problem is, I'm on auto pay and they'll take out the payment for next month on March 31. I never authorized two payments, and I want my card refunded for the extra payment they took out because of their mistake.
I got a bill for 2 ultrasounds for a regular pregnancy that was put towards my deductible
I got a bill for 2 ultrasounds for a regular pregnancy that was put towards my deductible. But my insurance company said these charges should be part of my $15 co-pay. I've been arguing about this mistake since August , but my insurance won't do anything. I checked with my doctor, and they billed it correctly, saying it's for a routine pregnancy, which should be covered by my co-pay. I tried to appeal with my insurance, but every person I talked to either hung up or said they can't help and it's my doctor's fault. Even though I checked with my doctor multiple times and they didn't make any mistakes. My doctor told me to keep fighting with my insurance, but they won't help or fix the problem. If nothing happens soon, these charges might go to a collection agency in 2-3 weeks.
I got health insurance from Ambetter through NH Marketplace in 2021
I got health insurance from Ambetter through NH Marketplace in 2021. There was a problem with automatic payments, so I called to catch up on payments in August . I set up autopay over the phone using the same payment info I used to pay the bill. But it didn't work again, so payments were missed once more. I didn't realize this until months later when I tried to confirm my 2022 health insurance. The Marketplace confirmed I was auto enrolled for 2022 with Ambetter, but Ambetter canceled my policy in September. I found out about this in January 2022 while trying to confirm my 2022 enrollment. Ambetter said they canceled it because of nonpayment, but they also said I had autopay set up, even though they had no info stored. It doesn't make sense to cancel it so soon after a payment, so clearly it's a mistake. However, Ambetter didn't reinstate my insurance and the Marketplace wouldn't let me enroll in any plan because it was outside the enrollment period. I can't get insurance through the Marketplace anymore because of Ambetter's mistakes. This is a big problem, especially during a pandemic. The whole point of automating payment and enrollment is so I don't have to keep an eye on these things. I'm overwhelmed with everything I have to deal with as a single dad and self-employed person going through these struggles.
I've been having problems with the Ambetter site for months
I've been having problems with the Ambetter site for months. All the payments and invoices have an "invalid date" and the "latest invoice" is actually 9 or 10 months old, not the most recent. I have auto payment set up, but my account got suspended because I owed money. I don't understand how that happened, but I put in extra money and now I've overpaid. For months, I haven't been able to check any invoices or payments because there are no dates, just "invalid date" printed. I've been trying to get them to fix the problem, but now they're saying there's a billing error and they're ignoring the invalid date issue. No matter how much I ask to speak with someone higher up who might understand my issues better, they don't like to pass problems on to others. I've been trying to get my medication sent through their mail order pharmacy, Caremark. Between Ambetter's pharmacy department, Evolve, and Caremark, there's a serious lack of communication. I've spent 6 days trying to get my medication that way, but it failed. I can get my prescription locally in just a few hours. Now, onto the most recent issue. When I try to log into my account, I get an error telling me my password expired. Supposedly, an email is supposed to be sent, but I never receive anything. This could be because I have an incorrect email address that the system won't let me change. I've been told that I need to fix it, but the site doesn't allow me to. It tells me to try again later. Two other representatives have told me they fixed the email address and that I'll receive an email to log back on, but I still haven't gotten anything. If I had been a few days earlier, maybe I could have changed plans. This is becoming impossible to deal with. Calling in is ridiculous. They really want a chance, but there are so many problems and messes. If the website doesn't work, I might need to have a lot of things printed out for me. Maybe going to Executive Park in Bedford will help.
