Horrible service. I been tryin' to get my refund from a policy that I applied for then canceled the same day. They took my money the day after the cancellation and I wasn't even gonna have coverage until April 1st so not cool. Veronica J.
Worst insurance company ever
Worst insurance company ever. If you ever need an MRI or CT scan, no matter what the circumstances are or if your doctor calls them, you will be denied service. I have never had rationed healthcare in my life until I had Ambetter Arkansas. If you have any choice at all, do not choose Ambetter. Your life may depend on it.

This insurance company is the worst ever. If your health is important to you, don't use them. They always deny surgeries you need. Their customer service is useless, they hang up on you most of the time. They're in a lawsuit since 2018. I'm switching my insurance, this company should be closed.

Oh my goodness! This company is the worst ever! You gotta be careful because they use the "exchange" as an excuse to take taxpayer dollars. Make sure to write down the number you called, the person you spoke to, the time, and if you can, record the conversation. These folks don't care about you at all. I guess they spend a lot of their government refunds on paying high fees for ComplaintsBoard.com approval. It's just disgusting.

I never signed up for this and they keep billing me. I cancelled this TWO months ago and KEEP getting billed. Will be contacting the governor's office, the news media, local newspapers, state senators. This company is REFUSING to cancel things you never signed up for and to keep billing you for services never rendered. Will be speaking with a lawyer next about harassment charges and a cease and desist order.

I'm worried that I'll start getting more spam from them or others. I won't give them any money. I tried calling to find out how they got my info or who signed me up, but the person on the phone couldn't give me any answers.

Representatives have no clue how to actually help and trying to contact managers/supervisors is impossible. Even if you file a grievance or complaint, your issue will not be resolved favorably or in a timely manner (or ever). I will absolutely never go with this insurance company again. Please do yourself a favor and avoid them as well.

This company is terrible. After setting up all payment information for a new checking account (it was made the default account), the automated payment did not use the default payment. Now I have no coverage until I come up with the back charges. Their payment system is set up to rip members off. Additionally, Ambetter has farmed off their call center overseas. I can not understand the heavy accents of the call center people. I will never use Ambetter again and will warn others not to use them.

Avoid avoid avoid! They double charged me for health insurance on my wife and infant son. I opened up multiple claims and was told I'd receive a call back. Never got the call back. Was also informed not to pay for the next month since they double charged me for January. Then my wife took our baby to an appointment only to be told our insurance was cancelled for lack of payment. We called over 10 times getting all of this resolved and it never got resolved! Now my wife and child are uninsured! Ambetter is cancer!

My enrollment started on February 1st, 2023, but I haven't been able to get my prescription filled at any pharmacy. I've called the company five times, but it seems like they can't fix the problem. The customer service representative (CSR) won't pass my issue to a supervisor or connect me with someone who can cancel my insurance. I guess I'll have to contact my bank and ask them to stop the payments. By the way, I hope others who call don't have to struggle to hear the CSR because of a rooster crowing in the background. I'm not joking.

My husband got his insurance back within 2 days after being on the phone for over an hour back in February. However, they canceled mine in March and it's been over 2 weeks and I still don't have insurance. I was paid up through the end of March, but they say I haven't had insurance since January 31st. I can't understand the people who answer the phones, and they can't understand us either. I spent 20 minutes trying to explain that I wasn't making a payment. I've been with them for 3 years and have only had one problem before when they took out my payment twice, but they fixed it. This situation is becoming ridiculous.

WORST SERVICE EVER. I can't even believe how bad they are. The call center is in another country and their English is not very good - it's hard to understand them. But it's not their fault. This is a US company and they should have people from the US working for them. They canceled my insurance because I didn't pay - I've been with them for FOUR years and always paid automatically. Nothing changed on my account. They just stopped taking the payment and canceled. It's impossible to find someone in customer service who can actually help. The customer service is the worst I've ever experienced.

Ambetter of Arkansas Health & Wellness is the worst Health Insurance Company ever! They've been takin' my state taxes for 2 years now for a premium that I never got notified about back in 2017/2018. Mind ya, I've been on the program since 2012. I always let 'em know 'bout any changes in my household or income. Today, I found out that Ambetter can change yer health plan and premium in the middle of the year based on yer income, without even tellin' ya! It makes it real hard to budget yer healthcare costs. I even got automatic withdraw set up for my payments, and they had the audacity to send me a letter sayin' their system was down and I still owe 'em. So now I'm a whole month behind and tryin' to catch up! They don't mind takin' money from hard workers, but they give free plans to lazy folks every day! I would never recommend this company or their customer service. I've talked to the Department of Finance, Ambetter, the Department of Human Services, the Marketplace, and still ain't got no resolution. All I get is a bunch of robots readin' from some "get off my line with yer problems/pass the buck on to the next company" scripts!

I've been tryin to call ambetter for FIVE HOURS. They keep hangin up on me, like 5 TIMES! They won't cover this medically necessary thing like they're supposed to. The policy says they gotta cover it all, but now I can't even ask why they ain't doin it!

We've been tryin to cancel my insurance plan with Ambetter for almost 2 years now. My policy was $13 dollars a month, and when we started tryin to cancel it, my bill was $13. Now it's gone up to $234. Every time we call, they tell us it's canceled and we won't get another bill, but we still keep gettin bills as of yesterday. We've talked to the marketplace and all, but they keep tellin us it's canceled and still keep billin us. It's gettin really ridiculous.
I paid $90.00 on Nov
I paid $90.00 on Nov. 7, 2022 for health insurance. It got canceled on either Nov. 27 or 28. Finally, in March 2023, I got reimbursed. Then, on Dec. 12, 2022, I paid $65.25 for new insurance. On Jan. 18, I paid $65.25. On Feb. 27, I paid $40.50. And on March 1, I paid $90.00. These payments covered the months of Jan. through April. However, they claim they haven't received any of these payments and are threatening to cancel my insurance by the end of April unless I pay $261.00 right away. So, on March 29, 2023, I paid $261.00, but I don't have proof of this last payment...yet. I really need and want the insurance, but they keep overcharging me and threatening to cancel it. I haven't received a bill for May yet. Considering the extra money I've paid, my insurance should be covered until August 2023. Can someone please help me?

I called Ambetter and they canceled the policy and issued a new one in my wife's name. They said she would still have coverage because I paid until March 31st. The next day, my wife went to the pharmacy to pick up her prescriptions and they said she had no coverage. We called our family doctor to check her insurance and it showed no coverage. We called many times for 7 days and got the same response - she has coverage, but our family doctor and pharmacy still say it's canceled. It's now March 8th and there's still no coverage. I wouldn't recommend Ambetter Arkansas Health & Wellness to anyone.

I've been with Ambetter of Arkansas for the past 3 years. In the last year or so, my doctor has been submitting requests for a certain procedure to be done. Somehow, Ambetter claims they don't receive it, like it's being thrown away. Last Thursday, they finally got on my doctor's case and I had to get on the phone with them to confront them. My doctor has marked this as urgent, meaning it needs to be done as soon as possible because of the seriousness of the situation. They are at fault for not wanting to pay for this procedure or anything else that may need to be done to address the issue. I had a similar procedure done 2 years ago that showed I have certain health conditions and symptoms that indicate the need for this procedure. It seems like it could be a serious problem that may require surgery. I'm pretty sure Ambetter won't willingly cover the costs for this. I really need them to approve this procedure and any other requests for necessary treatments.

I was connected to ***, who was really rude, so I asked to speak to a supervisor. They told me I had to wait for thirty minutes, and they said it with a laugh that I couldn't believe. Then, they put me on hold and played some music, but after about five minutes, the call ended abruptly. I called back and talked to ***, who said that someone would call me back within an hour. But, that call never happened like they promised. The next day, I called again, and the same representative laughed at me and said that the company has policies for everything, BUT they don't have a policy to make sure callbacks are actually done. *** argued with me when I asked for a supervisor, and then they put me on hold and hung up on me. This is NOT customer service; it's customer abuse. And to make matters worse, this company has all my private information. I can't trust them at all. Their customer service is terrible, and they don't even follow their own policies. I want all my information deleted from their records, and I want them to contact me. There are serious customer service problems with this company. I'll also be filing a written complaint about this.
