our recent stay & manager concern
I am a disabled veteran and my wife and I, along with our two teenage children stayed at one of your hotels on August 15th. We arrived in our room at check in time and were quite happy with our room initially. After setting our bags down and getting settling in to eat, we immediately had to call the front desk to remove the chair at the desk: the chair had a crusty, stringy white substance on the seat! My wife and I suspect it was NOT glue or silly string. The person on duty said she would take care of the issue; that happened just a bit before we went to bed, 5 hours later. While waiting for the chair to be replaced we were confronted with another set of issues.
I opened the freezer to put our ice packs and had to remove a McFlurry from the freezer! It was frozen hard to the bottom and I had to put a warm towel on it to remove it. While doing that one of the packs slide out and onto the floor under one of the beds. Using my cane I got it from under the bed along with 4 Bud Light bottles, two towels and 2 powdered donuts still in the wrapper. I called to the front desk: no answer. Went to the front desk, no one there, just a sign saying they would be back in 5 minutes; I waited 15, still no one.
Tired I went to sleep.
When we complained to the day staff, she told apologized for our inconvenience and told us she would pass our issues to the manager to decide how to compensate us for the issues. We also informed her that no one offered any alternatives, including switching our room or having the room re-cleaned. We were told we would receive a call by 2pm, we never did.
When the manager was finally told who to contact and who to look for, he became indifferent and condescending. We called to speak to the manager, no matter when we called, he was never there. We went back in person twice, again we were blown off. We were told he would not be coming in any time soon and that we would not be properly compensated for our night, after we had to clean our own room! Per his staff we were told that it was not the problem of the hotel.
I have stayed in numerous hotels around the world during my time serving in the USAF and since I returned; I have never been treated with such indifference anywhere! I assume that your company, like most major chains, believes in quality customer service, regardless of race, socio-economic status or gender, so we are contacting you first due to this manager's lack of concern instead of posting our stay on Booking.com after they sent us an email regarding our stay.

On August 17th 2018 my family and I stayed here In Chenoa, IL. We had a memorial service to attend in Fairbury, IL early Saturday morning. Unfortunately I was charged because there was color all over bedding. That night the baby had a little chocolate milk on sheet, that being only colors they had. I am trying to figure out why I am charged $35.00 for cleaning if all bedding is supposed to be washed after every guest stays.

The clerk said she could not give us a room because we had a service dog which is against the ADA laws. This happened on August 14th 2018. This kind of behavior should result in consequences to the motel and it's Clerk. There should be some kind of reprimand + or fined. I hope your company does something about this. I definitely would like to know.

Itinerary #[protected] reservation for Joshua Wallace at 2512 W Lincolnway, Cheyenne WY. Was told they received the reservation email, but it didn't 'integrate' into their system, and there were no more rooms with our needs left. Offered us two separate rooms, but without any discount or any other way to compensate us for their mistake. Very little effort to make an apology.

This website is scamming people to think they are receiving the best price for a decent hotel. I arrived to the hotel and the hotel was disgusting. I paid 150 to stay in a hotel that had stains on the pillow, an uncleaned showered, bugs smashed onto the wall and not cleaned, a stanky hot room, and a door that did not work with the hotel room key. I brought this to the front desk, but he was being rude and saying that I was not doing the key correctly. I was confused how he knew I was doing it wrong, so he also stated that he was watching me on the security cameras the whole time. I did not feel safe and I felt that my privacy was violated. I understand the purpose of the security cameras, but to watch me the whole time made me extremely uncomfortable. He told me that I had to come to him each time to have him come upstairs to unlock the door with a special key he had. That made me feel unsafe that he could open any door at any time. I thought if we left, my valuables would not be safe, as well as my friend's valuables. This was alarming. I asked if he could fix the door so the card could work, but he told me to wait rudely since he had to process the paperwork. If I wanted people to come back, I would help them instead of the paperwork. So we waited 10 minutes and this is when we decided to find somewhere else instead of this dump. I have pictures to prove my statements that I have made. Once we decided to leave, I asked the person at the desk working for the manager's name and he said he'll be here tomorrow, take the card. My friend and I went back to ask one more time for the manager's name, and he said he was one of the managers, but he was extremely rude and made me feel belittled. He said he could refund me for the second night, but not the first. I called you guys, but all they said was you agreed to the terms and conditions. I understand that, but he was very rude and the fact that I cannot get a refund for the first night after charging me a huge amount for a dump hotel like that made me realize that this website is just trying to make money and allowing people to stay at trashy hotels. I could've booked a motel 6 instead of using your website. The fact that your customer service representatives are unprofessional and useless made me take my business elsewhere and I will recommend people to not use your website. Hopefully you take this note seriously. Please do not book from bookings.com

I was overcharged
I have been renting a room from Americas Best Value Inn in Haltom City Texas for almost a month now day to day they told me if I found a better rate
Online at another motel with the same name that they would honor that rate and I found one at $49 they didn't honor that rate he said he'd give me a room for $51 per night I was charged $253 for 4 nights. I got a itemized recipite and come to find out they charged me $51 for the first night and $61 for the next 2 nights and $51 for the last night. He did not honor the rate I found and He did not honor the $51 per night like he said. The lady who runs it or owns it said if I book a room in the internet again through booking.com so that I can get the rate she was going to charge $10 extra for booking online. Thats not right we book online so we can get the cheaper rate .They are very RUDE there they do not check the milk and other things that they offer for a quote unquote breakfast. I have pics of the milk they put out and it was spoiled and clabbered the stuff you get out of the vending machine is out of date. I want a refund or at least deserve a couple of free nights. The housekeeping is redicolus the rooms are dirty. The mattresses sink in as if they've been there for 50 Yrs .I would really really appreciate it If someone would please call me back today so that we can resolve this issue. My husband, Robert, and I stayed in room 107 at the Americas Best Value Inn & Suites - 5201 Gulf Freeway, La Marque, TX 77568, from August 3-5, 2018. Our guest number is 66508.
Before I go into my biggest complaint, I want to make mention of a few things that made the hotel to feel unclean. There were dark stains on the carpet. One of the pillow cases had spots on it that appeared to be dried blood. And, the pool water was green and cloudy.
Now for the BIG complaint:
On Saturday, August 4, 2018, we took a fishing trip and caught several Vermillion Snapper (pictures attached), which was about 10 pounds of fish after they were cleaned and fileted. When we returned to our room, we placed the fish in the refrigerator with our sodas to keep it cold until we bought ice for our ice chest, which would be the next morning before we headed home. On Sunday morning, at approximately 8:00 am, we left our room (DID NOT check out of our room) to drive into Galveston to Katie's Seafood Market to purchase some shrimp and get ice for our ice chest.
We returned to our room at approximately 9:30 am, because we HAD NOT checked out of our room. We noticed that housekeeping, who were across the hall cleaning another room, had cleaned our room. Robert went to the refrigerator to get our things to place them in the ice chest for our trip home, but the refrigerator was empty. We went to the hallway to ask the housekeeping (a man and a woman) where our sodas and fish were and the woman tried to tell us, but did not speak English. All I could understand was her saying sorry. Robert asked her if she threw the fish in the trash and she said, "Yes, sorry". Again, we HAD NOT checked out of our room.
Although I understand that it is housekeeping's job to clean the rooms, they should not be removing things from the rooms until the guests have checked out. The woman returned our sodas to us, but not the fish.
We went to the front desk and filed a complaint. The girl at the desk was very pleasant and understood our frustration. She notified the housekeeping manager who came to the front desk, and at that point the woman who cleaned our room had also arrived and kept repeating sorry over and over again. The housekeeping manager advised the woman housekeeper that it was not yet 11:00 am and she should not have been cleaning our room or removing anything from our room, because we had not checked out.
We requested a refund of the $30 we paid for our fish to be cleaned and something for the frustration and inconvenience of all that happened. The housekeeping manager went to get the hotel manager. The hotel manager said she could refund the $30 we paid to have our fish cleaned, but could not provide a discount to our room. We advised we would take the $30, but we were contacting the customer relations/service department to request the additional refund we should get.
I feel that in addition to the $30 refund we already received, we should receive one night of our room refunded, and the market value of the 8 pounds of Vermillion Snapper ($15 a pound - shown in attachment from Katie's Seafood Markets website) that we did not get to bring home with us.
10 lbs. Vermillion Snapper x $15.00 = $150.00
1 night room rate = $76.79
Fish cleaning = $30.00 (already received from hotel staff)

no where on their website does it say you have to be 21 to reserve a room so we booked a room, and wanted to pay with cash and it still asked for a card and said no charges would be made on the card at all. i go in to get the room and give him my ID and he says i have to be 21 to reserve the room. and they charged me for an overnight stay when i did not stay there. i want my money back because it was unknown to me that you had to be 21.

My boyfriend and I come into Aiken, SC a few weekends out the month because I work for UPS Corporation and I travel to different locations to clear up accounts and speak with customers. We always stay here at this hotel because it's in the right vicinity of my work location also restaurants, gym, even places to shop. I never had any problems until this day. I ALWAYS arrange late checkout at 12:00pm so I can go to the job at 5am and I leave my boyfriend there until I come back. It was 11:20 am and he heard a loud banging on the door so he responded we didn't need anything at the moment so she walked off and came back 5 mins later and was like y'all need to leave because checkout is 11am so he stated to her we had 12pm checkout. She must have went to the front desk because she came right back banging and I mean banging like she was the police or someone that was trying to escape. This housekeeping lady was very rude, loud and unprofessional and I even went to the front desk to talk to another lady and she was very rude as well so I just walked off and got in my car and left.

I bought three nights Americas Best Value Inn Syracuse New York Carrier Circle on Monday 723 booked in at 9: 30 Monday night left Tuesday morning at 4 a. M. The rooms were nasty rugs with birnholz floors water and vacuum they told me it was going to charge me for my one and a half day stay I left they charged me $96 they only credited me back $69 I was there because my apartment building caught on fire I was sent there from Red Cross they lie to me about my credit I tried talking to them they don't understand can somebody please call me my number [protected]

I was scheduled to stay in your hotel in Sandusky Ohio on July 18 and 19. When we arrived the front desk was nice.. I asked for a roll away bed since we were 5 people and I was told that the roll away bed was extra which was not mentioned in the reservation. After agreeing to pay the extra $15 per night we were given a key to room 221 (I believe). Once in the room we were brought the roll away bed and it was completely full of urine and the springs were broken and you could not even lay down.. I was a little upset but would of tried to make it work by getting extra sheets and blankets-but the straw that broke the camels back is that there was either urine or old blood stains on the sheets and there was also mold on the pillow and sheets also... the blanket on one of the bed had cigarette burns... I at that point decided that staying in the hotel was no longer an option for my family.. Mold is absolutley horrible for your health and with the sheets having either urine or blood stains what else could we possibly get from staying in your hotel.. I asked that I be refunded for both nights since the room was horrible and I was never offered another room (which I would not of taken) the front desk told me that they would not refund me the money that night so I got the phone number to the manager Jennifer that would be in the following morning.. I called her at about 9 am the following morning and she stated that she would only refund me one night since we could of stayed in another room. I am not looking to get anyone in trouble I would just like to be refunded the total amount... We had bedbugs in our room they said they couldn't give us a new room not refund us back our money so we had too stay in that room . We no longer will be going back too ambi until this issue is resolved and we are customers they Kno by name and usually treat well Las nite was a complete diff story
I made a complaint aug 6th 2018 and requested a refund not once but 2 different times and I was told they would refund my money. Even the so called ceo called me and told me to go tell them that he said to refund me my money. Unprofessional as all get out. It's not my job nor place to go tell them the CEO said to issue my refund. But like dummy i did n got laughed at i was embarrassed and made a fool of. Not happy at all. I'm still waitin for that refund and whats sad it's been over a year and i don't have the card i used to rent the room rediculous. My granddaughter had been driving cross country from California heading to Georgia. It got to be late in the evening so she called America's Best Value Hotel at 4060 LaMar Avenue in Memphis, TN. She booked the room through Expedia while still driving and about an hour from the hotel. When she arrived they should she wasn't 21 and couldn't stay (she's 20). They said Expedia would have to call the manager (Megan) of the hotel the next day to get a refund. I called Expedia today and they said they denied a refund. I called the hotel directly and asked for Megan. The woman answering said she was Megan and when I asked her if she was the manager she said she worked there. I couldn't get a manager and Megan said she was aware that the refund was denied. She said I needed to call Expedia which I already had and she said she couldn't help. The whole time I was talking to her she had a child screaming and talking in the background (I believe it wasn't a customers child either but hers). I don't feel I should be charged and am requesting a refund. I will never deal again with an America's Best Value and will not recommend it to anyone. I would appreciate a response ASAP.

The pool is closed (ad is wrong) like the hotel should be. I did not feel safe. My room was on first floor and kids lighted up fireworks just at my window during the night There were no phone in the room and I had no service (ATT) with my cellphone so I was not able to report the issue easily. The room smelled tabacco badly (mashes were in the room and fire alarm covered by plastic bag). The couch had dark stain on it. It is written everywhere in the motel not to smoke. I don't think the electricity (eplugs) met today standards. The TV cable is going through the ceiling by a not well done clean hole and the ceiling looks like to be made with asbestos so bad hole is an issue. They apply reduced rate since 2017 and it looks like the motel is closing soon for safety/maintenance requirements issue. The curtains were also not closing well which is a big issue when your room is on first floor with a public walking street window. The Kleenex box was emptied. Moreover, I reported the issues in the morning at the lobby and she was not surprised and left the lobby to the back office without speaking to me. I stopped there after a long drive and I was really tired so I stayed for a short night but I was closed to leave multiple times during the night. This hotel should be closed. It not even on the contact TLH list customer service system which shows that this hotel is really bad

Checked in Friday night around 11pm was tired from driving 3 hours so the kids and my boyfriend and i all passed out. Waking up the next morning we noticed blood stains on the sheets (I'm 9ms pregnant) and big bits covered us from shoulder to feet! We walked down to the offices and demanded a refund but they denied! NEVER STAY HERE! On top of that the room and area smell like a sewage and the bath water!

I live in Siler City, NC and am appalled at the discarded sofas and TV sets which have been dumped on the side of the street at the Americas Best Inn of Raleigh St. in Siler City, NC . I have been seeing this for several weeks now. Is there no pride in the way your motel looks? Because, right now it looks like a dump. I would never recommend out of town guests stay there.
condition of hotel room
I stayed at America's Best Value Inn, in Helen, GA over the weekend, June 1-3, 2018. As you may be aware, there were intermittent storms in the area. When I made the reservations, I had asked the manager (front desk) if they were/had been flooded. He replied, No, they weren't.
When we checked in on June 1st, I had noticed the room (115) was very humid and the rug seemed quite damp, I turned up the A/C hoping that would resolve the issue. The next day upon returning from our activities, the room was starting to smell musty and was still very humid despite the AC being on 69 since we checked in on the 1st of June. When I woke up on June 3rd, I noticed it was getting harder for me to breathe due to the moldy smell coming from the rug.
Also, the comforters on the beds had cigarette burn marks on them in several places.
I did not address these issues with the front desk/ manager due to the fact, I overheard a patron talking to manager regarding an issue he had and there was no resolution in that conversation.

We stayed at an America's Best Value Inn at Murfreesboro TN May 18, 2018 room 118 or 119.
I feel it is important that corporate know the condition of this motel. We required a refrigerator and first room we were given, it didn't work. We spent no more time in that room. We were given another room, room. This room the toilet paper holder was hanging off the wall. The exhaust vent in the bathroom was hanging. It was a non smoking room yet the bedspread had cigarette burns in it. The bathroom door's paint was chipped and looked bad. The threshold into the bathroom was filthy. The only good thing I can say about this motel would be that the AC worked well.
We will never stay in another America's Best Value Inn and I will tell everyone the condition of this motel. If this were my company I would want someone to tell me of this condition.

Very rude stood there for 4 months paid everyday worker who worked at night was drinking alcohol on the job said I never paid everyday for 3 days so I supposedly owe then 300 I have all documents down she was keeping my money she also has priors. room condition in nashville location
Me and my wife checked in to the America's best value inn in Hermitage and within 15 minutes we left. There was a huge puke stain on the mattress with dry puke still on it and the ceiling was falling in and there were burn holes in the sheets. I get that is low priced room but it wasnt habitable for anyone. Would like a full refund. This was ridiculous. The office smells like raw sewage as well.

We were in Room 112. In Room 110 were 4 occupants (supposed to be 2 per manager) who were loud and belligerent from 10 pm on...lots of yelling, throwing things around, hitting the wall, etc...at 11:30 we tapped on the wall( walls are paper thin so you hear everything!)...the occupants yelled back at us and one said something about a gun...so obviously we did not knock anymore and were afraid to leave the room...we called front desk 3 times but an auto message came on (We did not realize until our 3rd call at 230 a.m. that the end of the recording states a cell phone to call..this should have been provided up front and you may want to recommend such) ..we considered walking down the hall to the desk to find anyone but were afraid to do so since we would have to walk past room 110. I finally got a hold of managers wife via cell at 240 and filed the complaint...we were told police were being called. From 1130 until 3 a.m we sat on the edge of the bed listening to yelling, banging around, crying, cussing, etc...so stressful. We then heard police arrive and at least 2 people escorted out the door. Talked to manager this a.m. who stated at least 2 to 3 others filed complaints. Nothing was offered us in terms of a refund/partial refund or credit. In addition, we then had to listen to the remaining 2 people in the room have make up sex loudly after all this occurred.
Lastly the charge for the room was $113 of which $20 was a pet fee but all taxes were added to room AND pet fee when usually the pet fee is a stand alone charge?
This had to be the most stressful, emotional stay we ever had. We would appreciate a response.
