Amica New customer fee applied after quote

The agent I spoke with on April 10th was difficult to understand, was speaking very fast and I had to keep asking her to repeat information. At the end of quote she assured me nothing was effective until April 30th and I could cancel anytime before this date. Then I was told a " new customer" fee must be applied with any card I might have including credit cards. So fee of $175 went on a credit card and at 4pm after reviewing notes I called the extension of agent to revoke/cancel process with a request to stop payment, no answer left message but reception was choppy . I called the agent number and extension next morning April 11th at 7am left another message to cancel and refund my card when she didn't pick up phone. Repeated the same process at 11am when no one answered. The quote given by AMICA agent was $300 more than current insurance and then to tack on a $175 new customer charge is out of my price range. My only income is a disability annuity for last 14 years and those charges maxed out my last credit card. The company or agent has not contacted me in any way and I followed thru with a charge dispute. This is making me sick, I can't afford to pay for something like this and ethically should have been told up front about a "new customer" fee. Not at end of quote making me feel pressured. She didn't say anything about non-refundable, but that I could cancel up to the 30th of April.

Desired outcome: Credit back my Mastercard $175

Amica Homeowners insurance denied after statewide emergency freeze in texas

Amica insurance has denied my 79 year old parents that live in spring texas critical emergency repairs to their home after the february 2021 texas freeze. The roof leaks, there was plumbing damage, the insulation got wet and now has mold, also the siding needs replacing after busted pipes and moisture and giant trees and vegetation had to be cut down because of freeze death. We also have had 3 inspectors confirm roof damage and other damage caused by the freeze and other bad weather, yet amica then sends their "inspectors" to then deny the claim. So far amica has only approved for siding and painting but has denied the insulation inside the siding and the roof repair. The home owner insurance claim was filed in february 2021 and it is now november 2021! What a low blow to senior citizens that have had amica for over 20+ years without a claim.

Desired outcome: REPAIRS NEED TO BE APPROVED AND REPAIRED

Amica non payment of claims

AMICA'S INSURED RAN A STOP SIGN, DAMAGED MY CAR AND INJURED MY PASSENGER, WEEKS LATER WE STILL CANNOT GET AMICA TO HONOR THE CLAIM.
WE ARE NOW FORCED TO HIRE AN ATTOURNEY AND SUE FOR DAMAGES AND INJURIES AS WELL AS EXSPENSES.
NOW WE HAVE TO WAIT WHO KNOWS HOW LONG FOR COURT JUDGEMENT FOR AN OBVIOUS CLAIM WHERE THEIR INSURED IS AT FAULT FOR RUNNING A STOP SIGN.

!I WOULD NOT RECOMEND AMICA TO ANYONE, THE INSURED WHO THOUGHT THEY WERE COVERED ARE NOW BEING SUED FOR WHAT THEY PAYED INSURANCE FOR!

AMICA wouldn't pay me (their insured) when a woman made an illegal left turn into my car and banged the heck out it and injured me. They are crooked. Stay far far away.
