Good day. I had medical aid in 2015 with Topmed. Comprehensive cover and received authorization for hospital submission for giving birth. The aid didn't pay the hospital in full and now I'm blacklisted due to that account. I lost my baby 14days after birth, due to "wiggie dood" so I was devastated. We had a rough time, I didn't went back to work and never received calls or messages about this account... This was the last on my mind. Now Topmed refuse to pay the account that I feel is unfair as my medical aid was paid every month. I did my part, now it is there responsibility. Please can someone assist me to get this done as this is not the first time trying to sort this out.

I was admitted at Mediclinic Midstream on 11 September 2017 after it was discovered during a doctor's visit (Doctor Mathonsi) stating that my blood pressure was abnormally high. The doctor then instructed that I be admitted and that an emergency C-section would be performed. the C-section was performed but due to my blood preseeure not stabilising I had to be admitted for an additional 5 days at the hospital. I was in hospital until 18 September 2017.
Then I received a bill a couple of months from mediclinic informing me that the topmed medical aid refuses to pay for the bill as furnished by the hospital and that there were differing views between the hospital and topmed about how the claim should be structured. As a result of the difference in opinion between the hospital and topmed the hospital is now holding me liable for the debt of R7 616, 60. I a of the view that I cannot be prejudiced because the hospital and topmed are unable to agree on an account and the anner in which it has been structured.
I need this account paid by Toped because the inability to pay the account is not due to any fault on my part. I have paid all my premiums and have complied with the contractual agreement between me and the medical aid company.

Ridiculous Premium Increase!
On the 1st of September i officially signed on with TopMed as my new Medical Aid Scheme, I signed on through Jenus Health. I have a very tight budget and requested the cheapest plan. The lady that assisted me advised that there is a 3 month general waiting period and 12 months for anything involving treatment of the recent accident i had. I had no issue with this as i rarely get sick and majority of my treatment from my accident was done. It is now November and i recieved an email from TopMed to advise that my premium is going up by 12, 5% in January. I am absolutely shocked. i havent even come off my general waiting period and they already increasing? Firstly no-one told me about this while i was signing up and secondly there should be an exclusion for people who sign up 3 months prior to the annual increase (thats what my previous medical aid did). Im sitting with an issue now where if i change medical aid ill be on another 3 month waiting period and treatment for my accident will be delayed by another 3 months. This is absolutely ridiculous! The fact that when i call the sales agents refuse to put me through to a manager makes me even more furious!
