Dental Scam Artist
I would never recommend this place to anyone or step foot in that office again. It is a scam that preys on people visiting for emergency visits. They have a fee for everything. To get copies of your x-ray it's $20, if you cancel your appointment less than 48 hrs then the fee is $270, and the list goes on. I went there only b/c my dental insurance had just changed and my dentist was out of network. I had a really bad toothace and this clinic can see you in the same day. It was also apart of my dental insurance network so I knew I only had to pay 30% of the charges. When I got there the dentist told me I had an impacted tooth and needed two wisdom teeth extracted. I was then explained that it would cost me $475 and this is after using my insurance. I didn't know at the time this is highly unusual. When I got my explaination of benefits later from my insurance it qouted that I am only responsible for $89 dollars. When I called to confirm this with Angel Dental I was given the run around. Several times I was told to call back and even once told that I have to call after 3pm to speak to someone in billing. Finally I reached someone and was told that they don't charge insurance for meds and products. So therefore I was charged $120 worth of guaze, $60 for irrigation, $25 for mouthwash, and the list goes on with these bogus prices. I think this place takes advantage of naive desperate individuals in need of emergency dental services. Please just find a private dentist and never ever come here.

I would NOT recommend this dental office even to have your gerbils tooth removed. The little short oriental dentist woman broke one of my teeth off while removing and pulled one out partially and gave up on it telling me to come back in 3 weeks.I had to pay an oral surgeon to remove the remainder of the tooth that the dentist at Angel Dental Care had left in my mouth and remove the other tooth that she had pulled out partially.I had no dental insurance at the time and had paid Angel dental care in full in advance to remove four teeth.they refused to reimburse me any of the money even though they had only pulled the one tooth which they had not even pulled that out completely(the one they left 1-2 of the root in). They also promised me before i paid them for the scheduled appointment that they would put me under completely because i have a high sensitivity to pain, when i arrived for my appointment they said they just use local anestetic and would not put me under as they had promised. The dentist kept giving me shots of novocain, walking away to work on other patients, coming back and giving me another shot of novocain and walking away to work on other patients. She gave me six shots of novocain and two double shots and turned the nitrous oxide all the way up but by that point my nerves were so bad i could still feel the pain everytime she would come over and attempt to pull my tooth. My daughters mother who was with me at the time said the dentist looked likean oriental version of Tarzan swinging from my tooth.Over all i am very dissatisfied with the service (or lack of service) i received at Angel Dental Care and i would NOT recommend them to anyone ever.
Ive been to the office twice and both times felt he was very professional. He has a female assistant who bends over backwards to make sure your comfortable. Both times that ive been there the procedure was explained to me by an assistant first, then Dr. W. himself before he started. Im sorry but i prefer a dentist who gets in there and gets the job finished quickly. He doesn't change the plan as he goes along, but does what he says he is going to do as fast as possible. Why would anyone complain about speed? Did you want extra time to savor the pain? Expensive? Yea he is expensive, but so is the rest of the world. He always explains the fee's right after the initial exam, but before he starts. No one is getting tricked into paying anything.
Everything else aside, i can feel the confidence in his ability's when he is working in my mouth and that's what makes him fast.
I believe Angel Dental Care diagnoses problems that are not there. I went in for a routine appointment, and the hygentist said I had 11 cavities. The dentist came over and scolded the hygentist saying that all 11 were NOT cavities. When my treatment plan was printed, he had put 11 cavities that needed to be filled. I'm know I had 2, but 11? Anyway, I think Angel Dental care gives false diagnoses and does things that you don't really need so they can pay for there up-to-date facility. Also, the dentist works too fast and is not even nice or friendly. I would not recommend this dentist.
Yes, totally understand. I am finding out from my insurrance that they grossly over charged me. I am now going to see if they will refund the funds and also if I can get a print out of all of our charges.
definately agree! this place is so unprofessional! Dr. W yelled at me while I was in the chair, he belittles his staff and I overheard a few assistants talking that they hate working for him! I don't blame them at all! He comes across as a complete jerk and I would NOT recommend this sweat shop dental office to anyone!
To Does Not Care...I think you should file a small claim in court. You have plenty of personal injury damages to describe. You could easily get your money back with your case. I can help you file as I have filed a small claim against them also.
I posted a complaint about their Zoom procedure, but your case is so much worse in terms of negligence.
They are injuring people and they need to be sued, maybe even a class action suit.
email me at jem11701@hotmail.com if you'd like to pursue
I agree...Angel Dental Care is a scam...I went there to get the Zoom whitening procedure not knowing that there is no way whitening will work on veneers. No one told me it would not work nor recommended NOT to have the whitening procedure because it would not work on veneers. I lfound out from ANOTHER, ETHICAL, PROFESSIONAL DENTIST IN ANOTHER OFFICE.
Wouldn't you EXPECT A PROFESSIONAL, ETHICAL DENTIST to advise his/her patients if the procedure has no possibility of working? Wouldn't it be stealing the pts money to perform a procedure that they know will not work and still charge them for it? In fact, after the procedure, the technician commented about how well it worked even though anyone could clearly see IT HAD NO EFFECT! Don't count on Angel Dental Care to be HONEST, ETHICAL, OR PROFESSIONAL...THEY ARE ONLY OUT FOR YOUR MONEY! I politely asked if I could have a refund, and the dentist would not even speak to me.
I took it to small claims court and because their contract says there are no guarantees the judge ruled that they had no responsibility for scamming me. I DISAGREE. AN EDUCATED PROFESSIONAL DENTIST HAS THE OBLIGATION TO INFORM HIS PTS THAT THIS PROCESS WON'T WORK AND NOT TO THROW AWAY $400 INTO THEIR GREEDY, UNETHICAL, SELF-SERVING POCKETS.
I WILL NEVER GO TO ANGEL DENTAL CARE AGAIN AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW WHAT SCAM ARTISTS THEY ARE.
