We have several issues regarding our membership and would like to cancel our membership. On multiple occasions, we have tried to book several things and are displeased with the process. What we were told and what actually occurs is very different. First of all, we never received our membership information to log into our account. After 30 days of becoming a member, I had to reach out to someone to get our login information to be able to access our benefits. Once we got access to our benefits, we started looking at flight options for a trip we wanted to take to Boston in November. The flight system was down. I asked an agent to assist me with this and they said since the system is down and there was nothing they could do about it. I asked if they could assist me with hotel information. There were no hotels available for the weekends that we were interested in in the city of Boston. We also tried to look at a hotel in Mexico, Xcaret Mexico or Xcaret Arte and we were very displeased with what we saw. Before signing out for our membership, we specifically asked about these two resorts and they’re all inclusive fees. Although they could not tell us specifically what the inclusive fees for the resort Was, they said it would be no more than several hundred dollars. In researching the information, the all inclusive resort fees actually are $2000 per person. This is almost full price of what a non-member would be paying out-of-pocket to stay at the resort. The dates for the hotel are very limited, but in checking the different months that the hotel had available, the inclusive fees remained about the same price. Although in the contract, it states that we have three days to cancel, we specifically asked several times before signing the contract if that date was flexible. We were told to contact the employee at ascendant who helped us with our and that they could make it happen if we were displeased with the services. We were notified that the conversation in the final room that we were in that went over the contract details, there was video recording of our conversation. If one were to look back at that specific recording, you would see us asking the question about canceling at any time if we are displeased with our membership services. I am not sure how one is even supposed to know within three days of their membership if they want to cancel when they don’t even have access to their membership until after 30 days of signing the contract. Although the representative I spoke with on the phone said we have access to other perks, we were very clear about the specific items that we were interested in. I have been put on hold, transferred to different people who cannot assist me, and my issue of canceling the membership has still not been resolved. I was told it was a process and it would take some time. It is very frustrating to know that only one person can assist me with this process when in every corporation there is a supervisor in place to assist with more pertinent matters. All I have gotten in an email is that it’s being looked into… yet here we are a month later.
