Explpratory gall bladder surgery with dr obrochta
This was some years ago but still bothers me greatly. I was scheduled to have exploratory gall bladder procedure. After anesthesia Dr obrochta proceeded to just remove my gall bladder and the exploratory was never done. A few days after my surgery I was having some issues so I went to the emergency room. Bile ducts were dilated and was told I needed emergency surgery. Dr obrochta came in my room and stated he was too busy and didn't have time for another surgery and sent me home. Said he would follow up in 2 days at my follow up appointment. 2 days later I walked In for my follow up and he said oh my God thank God your ok. I thought you were going to die. After you left I was so worried you were going to die or at least be turning green. I don't know how as a Dr you can send someone home knowing they could die. Especially after you did not even read my chart close enough to know I was the exploratory surgery not just the removal to begin with. Terrible experience and I hope no one else has to go through that
Desired outcome: compensation for the ptsd I now have surrounding doctors and surgery as a result of Dr obrochta and his negligence
The medical center of Aurora colorado
My client he name is Kei Rogers. B-day 05/04/1965 is at the medical center of Aurora. She has been there for a week! She has an infection. No one has gotten kei up out of bed or given her a shower. I am her host home provider ( caregiver) she has lived with me for 11 years. I got her out of bed to give her a shower. Her bottom is as red as could be from bed sores and not being cleaned. Her pull up was soaked with pee and she also did a BM in her pull up! I gave her a shower and I sat her in a chair after the shower! She cried in pain when I gave her a shower!I don’t get paid to go to the hospital to take care of her as the state pays the hospital when she’s there and they can’t double dip! Her care was worse than bad! She is being discharged to Life care center of Aurora to finish her 2 week IV antibiotics today which I hope they take care of Kei better. Desired outcome: Somebody needs to be accountable for kei not getting the proper care! They need to hire more people or train the staff to do a better job and not leave clients in bed to soil them self’s and get bed sores!
Aurora Health Care Hospital
I have already talked about and you will do nothing. Your hospital is such a joke. I was there on 02/25/22 in Milwaukee. I had nothing more than a bloody hemmaroid. and you kept me for 3 days for no reason with a completely false diagnosis. I had nothing wrong and you did nothing.
As a result with my high deductible I incurred a 4k debt for no reason. I will never go to Aurora again.
I wish I had someway to tell everyone about how bad Aurura is.
Desired outcome: Reimburse my 4k you already made almost 20K for no reason.
Aurora medicare billing
In late January of 2022 I was diagnosed with cancer. I had switched my health insurance on January 1, 2022, from traditional Medicare with a supplemental insurance plan to a top-rated Wisconsin advantage plan which has an annual out of pocket limit per year. I consulted several surgeons and oncologists. I decided to have my treatments at Aurora Vince Lombardi cancer center for chemo and radiation and my surgery at Froedtert in Milwaukee.
I was asked to enroll in a clinical drug study to add one additional drug to my
regimen. A targeting drug. My husband and I both asked if there was any additional expense to us to enroll in the study and were told NO by the enrolling nurse. As I began treatment, I began to have severe side effects from the additional targeting drug. I had to stop all treatments within 3 weeks to recover. I had daily infusions for several weeks for vital minerals and supplements. After July I asked for a full accounting of all claims submitted to my insurance. I found that Aurora had submitted 6 claims to Medicare and
not submitted those claims to my advantage plan. A portion of one of those claims was submitted to the advantage plan.
Now Aurora is refusing to submit those claims to the advantage plan and is instead billing me all of the copay that Medicare allowed. That amounts to over $2900. Our advantage plan claims rep has been unable to speak to
anyone in Aurora's Medicare claims department, other Aurora Billing supervisors have been unable to speak to anyone in Aurora's Medicare claims department. It appears as if that department is unreachable and unable to bill these medical clinical drug trials to the correct insurance. Even a letter to the president of Aurora Health Care went unanswered.
Medicare has demanded a refund from Aurora on 3 of the claims submitted to them. Aurora owes us the copay for what we paid them on those 3 claims. I reached my out-of-pocket limit for 2022 but Aurora is circumventing that amount by not submitting the claims to my advantage plan.
Desired outcome: Submit all claims to my advantage plan.Refund Medicare and me the amount I paid on those 3 claims submitted to Medicare that have now been denied on review.
Unfair and bias treatment
Katherine E. Kormanik, MD misfiled a non-professional parent review in my son's medical profile (e.g. she mentioned untrue accusation about a parent). ALL clinical providers were able to read and I could feel the awkwardness form this). Also, Ms Kormanik called 911 to report me while I was driving and I was unnecessarily pulled over by police and promptly let go because I had not done anything wrong. Searching through the reviews of this provider, I don't see anything regarding my valid but seemingly hidden experience. What Ms Kormanick listed was untrue, unnecessary, and not ever discussed with me as the parent. Both actions were unprofessional and unnecessary to wherein I am mistrusting Aurora as a whole...as other odd and anomalistic occurrences have recently occurred. Desired outcome: Prevent any parent from having to go through what I did with my son's chart history and prevent any patient from unnecessarily being called in to 911 because I didn't ever do anything wrong to her or whilst driving.
Er visit green bay
I had pt friday Feb 3, 2023. Later that evening I could barely move my pain in my back was severe and i could barely move. I waited to see if it was better saturday morning which it wasn’t. It took me 5 minutes to get out of bed. I could not dress myself. I should have called the ambulance but a family member drove me. I went to er and the pa Mikaela Vollmer on duty wrote it off as just being sore. I couldn’t sit without pure pain or lie down without it. She sent me on my way even though i could barely get out of the bed myself. She said i am not going to give pain meds because it would open up a can of worms. This pain was worse than having a child and she wrote it of as chronic and pt. Well i have never had this much pain in my life. They put on notes that i agreed it wasn't urgent care. I wouldn't have gone to the er if it wasn't. .
Desired outcome: I don’t care what happens. It wouldn’t matter anyhow
Pain relief after surgery
I recently had a hernia surgery at the facility in Bristol Wisconsin. Though most staff was very professional, one was not. A day the surgery I was in agony! I was taking the medication that was prescribed, but it had little effect. When I asked for something more effective, I was denied by the surgical nurse. Needless to say I was upset. She explained to me how more aggressive medications can be addictive. Later my wife had talked to a friend in regards to her husband who had s similar surgery and described the meds that were provided. OMG what a difference. I must say that not everyone will get hooked on pain meds these days. I think when a patient says they are in pain after a procedure like this, means they are in pain and medical staff should listen and try to assist the patient, not just let them know they should grin and bare it. I am most certain that this nurse is a good nurse, but she is being directed to handle cases like mine this way. Hopefully this helps change your policy to some degree. No one should have to feel the pain that I felt while healing if there is a better way. Thank you for listening. Paul Curzon

Incomplete service/ care
I recently had cause to visit my doctor at aurora health clinic in Wautoma Wisconsin. I had been suffering from unexplained diarrhea for the better part of a week. My appointment was on January 11. it was decided that I needed to submit stool samples to the lab for testing. I took the sample kit home and returned it the following day to turn in the samples. the following day I called about the results and was told that the testing would not be complete till the following week on Tuesday, as Monday was martin Luther king day. well i called back on Monday and left a message for them to call me if they had any results. they did call back and said nothing was found, at that time I told the nurse I was still sick and would they ask the doctor what the next step should be. no one called me back. I have since made multiple calls to the clinic, and have been told that message would be left for the doctor and or his nursing staff, and no one calls me back. if they can't handle this or care about it I would have liked a recommendation to someone who could. i.e. another doctor or specialist. I feel somebody has dropped the ball and I will try to find another primary care physician elsewhere. thanks for nothing. Jan 17 2023

My future mother-in-law is in the final stages of passing away. I happen to be white but they are a very loving close Mexican family. They were told to call family. The family came. A very pompous security guard came and kicked everyone out. My fiancé and his nephew are police officers and approached the security guard. Apparently he had an issue with his nephew. Everyone was kicked out but he said my son and I could stay. My daughter drove over 1.5 hours to pick us up. We were then told I could be in the room along with the other spouses. The rules changed again and I am not even allowed to wait in the hospital waiting room. I am currently writing this complaint in my car in the parking lot. We have been treated like criminals and have been subjected to very poor treatment. I get there are rules but I can’t even comfort my fiancé as his mom dies. How utterly cold and cruel. Her grandkids are standing out in the cold looking sun n the window. We video chatted each one in so they could say goodbye to the matriarch of their loving family. To say I am appalled is an understatement. Creating scenes when her passing and meeting her savior should be a peaceful journey. Please tell me how this can even be rectified. As a veteran educator I teach kids fair and equal are not the same thing and there are many shades of gray. This family should have been able to say goodbye in a respected manner.
Aurora pharmacy burlington hospital
Im so tired of getting treated like a criminal for getting a control rx filled! I don't need micromanaged if im one day early im busy little time to play games with this pharmacy! So i will take my business elsewere after 2 years. I was patient thet they might improve no such luck. So good bye my whole family will also find a pharmacy that treats people with respect

Mask monitors
I have weekly injections for allergies at the main Oshkosh hospital and for some reason the mask monitors seem it is fit and right to handle the masks with bare hands that they mandate we wear. If the masks are supposed to be sterile, maybe keep your employees from handling them and getting whatever germs they have on their hands on the masks. If this doesn’t get resolved I will be taking this to the local news and will post all over social media warning people of the dangerous practices this facility follows.
Desired outcome: Either stop mandating masks that are contaminated by your employees or train your personnel on proper handling of so called sterile masks.
Aurora Hospital Fraud
Went to Milwaukee for a wedding on 02/25/2022. Had some bleeding in rectum. so decided to go to Aurora in Downtown Milwaukee. What a mistake. I read on- line later should have just waited a day. Bleeding already quit late on Friday. They kept me 3 days and did not diagnose anything and did nothing and told me to follow up with a colonoscopy. The specialist said I did not need to be there, what does that tell you. No-one listened to expert. Gave me insulin for no valid reason. Took 8 pokes to get blood drawn people did not know what they were doing.
When I got the colonoscopy back home, the doctor said I should never even been admitted for a bloody hemmarhoid, if WI would have had any kind of expertise. He also said I was really taken advantage of in WI.
Desired outcome: Return my deductible. This hospital was an absolute joke with a capital J. I missed a wedding spent 4K, because I chose a hospital with no expertise.
Pharmacy
I went to Aurora Pharmacy on Washington Ave in Racine/Sturtevant. I had to pick up my prescription a day late because they were understaffed yesterday and I went there twice but they were unable to fill it
I usually do curbside because of the mask policy ( I am unable to wear one) but the curbside had no room and I thought it would be nicer on the staff to not have to run it out in the cold weather we have today.
I waited patiently for the elderly gentleman in front of me to put his coat on which took several minutes.
I knew none of the pharmacy staff, which has always been very friendly in the past. These people were all new and very hostile. I did not even get my name out before I was demanded to put on a mask. I told her it was not even a CDC requirement anymore and that I don't mask wear and she threatened to withhold my medication if I did not. So I put one on grudgingly. This is dehumanizing to me and gives me anxiety. But I hoped to be out of their quickly.
Another staff member was attempting to find my meds and asked me to spell my name, and since mask wearing impedes hearing and speaking she asked me to repeat, at which point I pulled the mask down so I could speak without my lips being rubbed painfully and so that she could hear
The mask nazi that first threatened to withhold my medication again came up and told me to leave because I had done that. I tried to explain I cant speak through a mask but I had to pull it up and put my hand between my mask and my lips to finish the transaction. Withholding medication is not something that a pharmacist should ever do unless their is a medical reason for it which there is not.
Your mask policy is very outdated as most people realize masks do not stop viruses and dont wear them ANYWHERE ELSE! Yet this policy was being used to dehumanize, embarrass, and torture me when all I wanted was to get my meds and spare the staff the venture into the cold! Way to repay kindness with cruelty! IF this does not get resolved I will be forced to take my prescriptions elsewhere
Desired outcome: Pharmacy staff spoken to, and the inhuman mask policy done away with, made optional, or for exceptions based on medical and religious reasons be honored

My son Marcello Lanza who is under my insurance , is being seeing Dr Sprung couple times since my son is a former Marine he did not understand the insurance process these are the facts :
My son has seen him Virtual 3 times 200 dollars on hour for 6 minutes Zoom call than he approved the meds this happen a few times - he can't never reach him few weeks ago i called and ask for the billing statement to be mailed at our house ---they never do we did not get March Bill until June and once more until October .When my son called for new MEDS he was told he had to pay in full before the Dr gives new Meds i find this totally UNETHICAL his this guy a Doctor or Tony Soprano ? I find this very bothersome to holf off Meds because of $$ When we where not aware of this billing problem
As a father i find this very disturbing for someone to practice like this in 2022

I am currently out of work due to an injury. I have been trying to get a letter from my treating provider since last week. I have email/messaged twice about this. The message was read but, I have yet to get a response or what I've asked for. This provider isn't good at getting back to me and never has been. He has not treated me adequately or completely.
Aurora Medical Center - Kenosha - Dr. David Needle
I was scheduled for surgery on Aug. 4, 2022, for a complete thyroidectomy. I was told to be there @7:00 a.m. for surgery @9:00 a.m. After being there for a while, I was told my surgery was bumped up to 11:00 a.m. Then I was told there were 2 people ahead of me and that they weren't sure what time it would be. I was contemplating leaving, since I was also bumped 3 times back in February for another surgery I had done. Dr. David Needle came in my room mad and scolded me by saying "You canceled this surgery already." I said "No I didn't...I postponed it because of my dog, and you know it." Then he got in my face and said "Now you're getting me mad!" I had to bite my tongue because I really thought I was having surgery. Then he threatened me by saying "You walk outta here and I'm not doing your surgery!" Then he walked out and blurted out loud to the nurses @their station "I'm frustrated!" I did NOT want this Dr. to perform my surgery in that state of mind. That's when I left. I literally cried all the way home. I heard that he was the only Dr. on duty that morning and I'm certain he was taking his frustrations out on me.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate an apology. He should also be responsible, if I got charged, for any services. I called my insurance company when I got home and told them not to pay for any charges that day. I was not even hooked up to an I.V.
I found Dr needles to be very professional when installing and removing my chest port, he explained everything and was comforting which makes it hard to believe he reacted in the matter mentioned
Mother's Doctor
Applied for FMLA 6/29/2022 & 8/3/2022
I take my mother, 82 years old with Alzheimer's to all of her doctor appointments, phone calls, anything to do with my mother I take care of.. She ended up in the hospital 2 times in June. I applied for FMLA for taking her to follow up appointments after her hospital stay because I was unable to schedule them outside of my working hours and had to miss some work. Her Doctor, Kelly Cihowiak has denied it 2 times now that I have applied even after she told me to re-submit. I am getting very impatient with this. My job is important to me and for her to not grant my FMLA is very frustrating. I am even considering getting a lawyer involved. I'd rather not switch doctor's because she know's her history..
Desired outcome: I would like my FMLA granted.
Dr Hagnal Elkhorn Aurora
I called after hours (Sunday at 3pm) Dr Hagnal was the Dr on call. She called me and was EXTREMELY rude, short and dismissive. After telling me she would not care to assist me, I began to say thanks and mid words she abruptly hung up the phone on me. How disgusting and disappointing of a dr...
I was having very painful cramps and she couldn't have cared less. Aurora should be ashamed to have such a doctor.
Desired outcome: I'd like an official apology and for her to be taught to be kind to patients.
The nurses at the Gastroenterology dept at the Sheboygan Clinic are not doing their jobs. My medication list had not been accurate since the first of the year. There is serious miscommunication between the nurses I leave a message with one nurse believing it will be charted. When I speak with another nurse she says she knows nothing about the first conversation. I am a former health care worker. If I did my job in the same way I would have been fired. I have complained to patient relations several times to no avail.
I had an appointment with Dr Mai Derm at 8am 6/30/2022.
I drive down to Mewuon from Port Washington for my appointment only to find the dictionary was "unexpectedly out" -I was never notified -the receptionist said Amy -snotty Amy called everyone. She did not call me. The receptionist told me I wasn't even scheduled -really -then noticed in the notes yes I was. Then she told me I had an appointment August 10th but told ne I couldn't get in until the end of August. Again REALLY? I am livid -I waited a month and 1/2 for appt -my hair is thinning -,fling out and now she tells me to wait 3 months more. I'm dumping him and Amy. I am requesting a refund for gas -I can seek legal if necessary

Rude Nurses/Prescription Issues
It took from May 4th until June 5th to get a 30 day prescription filled. Every time I need a refill I have to go in to complete a urine test. I ended up taking 4 urine test over 4 weeks because the prescription wasn't correct. When I brought this to the nurses attention over the Aurora Portal, the nurses were not helpful at all and very rude especially Stephanie the RN. Instead of being helpful, the nurse made the situation 20 times harder than it needed to be. This is not the kind of person that should be working with patients.
Desired outcome: Services and processes be improved. Employees behavior needs to be addressed.
