I can't believe that the management team for Austin Bergstrom Airport would allow such a delay again because they decided to replace their scanning units on a Monday morning which is the busiest time to fly. How can you operate with only one security checkpoint and expect people to be able to make their flight times. It seems that the management team has a total disregard to it's customers. The reasoning for my statement is because I missed my Southwest flight after standing on the TSA line for 2 hours. I arrived at the airport at 5:30 AM and my flight was scheduled to depart a 7:20 AM for Nashville and arrived at the gate at 7:30 AM. When I tried to rebook my flight, they expected me to fly to Dallas and go on standby. I played that game before and got stuck in a roach motel for the night and still missed my business meetings so I had no intention of doing that. I decided just to cancel my flight and attend my meetings virtually. Your airport to so poorly managed, that I intend to fly out of San Antonio because the operation of this airport is simply a joke. To make matters worse, my bag made it to Nashville and I had to make arrangements to have it returned. Unfortunately, I now have to return to the airport to pick up my bag at Southwest because they will not deliver it to my residence without additional cost to me. This just confirms my thought that flying this day and age is simply not worth the hassle.
Desired outcome: Improve your operation of the airport and make customer service a priority. As you can see from the attached photo, the line began at the end of the south terminal and ended at the North terminal.
