I bought a used 2006 Acura TL with about 140000 miles on it. They advertised it as in mint condition, singer user who took care of it. I noticed a pricey "customer service" charge of 599.00 on the bill but wanted the car. They exclaimed how reliable even these older Acuras are. That was 9/14. Now(3/12), I'm going today to Sutton Acura in Macon to pick up this same Acura whose transmission was totally replaced after it left me on a county highway recently! Called the sales manager at Automax to inform him, and he said oh well, luck of the draw! I suspect they dont take care to really inspect what they sale, and arent concerned since sales are "as is". Not reputable!
I bought a 2014 Cadenza and a 2018 Accord - both top of the line vehicles from this establishment. They brought the accord to my house and dropped it off. Everyone was courteous and friendly. They also made the process speedy which impressed me the most because I hate lingering in a dealership for hours. Bottomline is - There are some bad mentions on other reviews, but I have to say the glass has been half full not half empty for me and I am still a happy camper with my purchases. Good work guys!

I put down 2500 dollars to buy a vehicle. Since they didn't ship the vehicle, I demanded my deposit back. They refuse to refund the deposit. I gave them 2500 dollars for a deposit on a vehicle after they said I was approved by them and the bank for financing. They sent me the paperwork via fedex, and I sent them back signed. After 10 days of not receiving the lexus lx570, I demanded my deposit back. They are refusing to refund my 2500 deposit. They are not responding to chat any longer. I did contact my bank today, however it is a 10 work-day process. They screamed over the phone I wasn't being reasonable, however they refuse to send the truck or give me back my deposit.

Bought a car and after about 20 miles the check engine light came on. Took it to get check out, and was told it was a transmission issue. I have bought additional warranty with this car and that warranty company is refusing to fix me car stating that the issue was already noted. However it was by the dealer and now I am stuck.

July 16 purchased a 2012 Honda accord. Was told with good faith that the car wld have all fluids flushed, brakes turned down and a good wheel alignment. I received the car and it needed an oil change and brakes not done. All I want is what was promised in good faith. 1 when they did the brakes they cross threaded a lug nut. Oil was at 20 life left and after the brake job car needs alignment. And was told I wld have 2 yrs of free maintenance means I wld not have to pay for oil changes. I went to pep boys was charge$61 for oil change so NOT FREE. And car needs alignment again and needs stud lug nut. I just want was promised.
Purchased a 17 tahoe June 27th. 1 week from purchase, trans goes bad. Warranty purchased denies claim due to pre existing conditions. I recently purchased a vehicle from Automax Atlanta. The condition of the vehicle was purposefully misrepresented. I purchased a 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser from Automax Atlanta on 2/21. The vehicle was advertised as being in excellent condition inside and out. I was told the vehicle would be serviced prior to it being delivered. Kenny Ly the salesperson claimed to have driven the vehicle personally and there were no check engine lights or system warnings. When the truck was delivered on 2/29 I found multiple problems on the exterior of the vehicle including unreported damage. There are multiple warning lights on the dash cluster, and there is a cylinder misfire on at least one cylinder.

Automax rigged the car so the check engine light would not come on. After I bought my car the manager of Automax told me to drive my car 50 miles and then have the emissions tested because they did not have it tested prior to my purchase. The law in GA is that they are supposed to have the emissions tested before the sale. They rigged the car so that the check engine light would not turn on so that I could pass the emissions test. The day after I passed the emissions test my check engine light turned on. I took it to the honda dealer and they said that where the gas enters does not close completely which is why the light turns on. It will now cost me approximately $930 to fix. I bought the warranty for the car, however the warranty does not cover this issue.

My son in law helped me purchase a 2012 Honda Accord from Automax on August 23rd. The salesman was helpful enough. They delivered the car to us after 10 pm but we did the deal in the am. The car was supposed to come with two keys. They brought one key and said they would overnight me the other one the next day, along with a part that is supposedly required to fix a droopy drivers side visor. After numerous texts back and forth we quickly realized we would not be getting another key or the part to repair the visor. Now the temporary tag we were given is set to expire on 10/6 and we don't have the title yet. I paid cash for the car. The dealership has been completely unresponsive. There was also a graphic message written on the broken visor. We also never received an email copy of the paperwork or the tag, which was included in the transaction.

I agreed to purchase only if the vehicle can be shipped to me . Which they agreed . I filled out a credit application and was advised of the terms which I agreed. Then I was told I would have my vehicle in a few days once all paperwork was signed which I agreed. I was overnighted the paperwork and I immediately signed and returned that same day. It was Thanksgiving so I understood it would take a little longer so *** advised as well as the manager that Ill have it by the 1st of December. Its now the 7th and Im still given the run around. I purchased a vehicle one week ago. It was supposedly dispatched on Friday with a window of 24-48 hours for delivery. We took in to account the weekend and expected delivery possibly Monday but for sure today. My car has not shipped and they can't tell me when to expect it as "Shipping pricing is just crazy. If a dispatcher finds another load for a higher price. They cancel the previous one. We increased the price for your load this morning. We should have a notice soon. Please be patient. Nothing is wrong. Your car is perfectly fine. I assure u" which if this is this is the case, is understandable but we were not kept in the loop about it and when I attempted to contact the dealership I was given the run around. Only after my husband called and spoke with another manager was he able to get any type of response as to when I could expect my car. At this point, I feel we have been scammed and there is no car.

On April 14 I purchased a 2020 ZL1 Chevrolet Camaro from Automax Atlanta. I paid $18,300 down total between $1,000 cash, $6,000 check and $11,300 from my credit cards. As I was completing the paperwork, I asked if the car had been in any accidents and he stated "No". The front passenger wheel liner was torn due to lights that were installed by the previous owner. On May 10, I took the car to a Chevrolet dealer to have the liner replaced and once they got under the car, the Chevrolet mechanics informed me that the car had major front end damage/repairs and that Chevrolet could not touch the car. They informed me that items under the car were still broken. I immediately called Automax and informed them of the situation and that I wanted a full refund of my $18,300 deposit and wanted to know when to return the car. I was told that Chad (Manager) would call me back and he never did. I contacted Capital One auto finance and they are investigating as well.

We purchased a 2015 Audi A3 from the dealer 07/14. Initial red flag occurred when my son arrived home with an estimate for the vehicle. It reflected a $6000 down payment, part of which was a payoff of his auto loan outstanding. We decided to pay off the auto loan as it was with our credit union. Called to clarify if this would be an issue and were advised, nothing would change with his payment. Upon arrival back to the office, my son was advised the monthly payment would increase after all. He decided to move forward although they'd been dishonest about the monthly payment. Upon arrival home with the vehicle, I immediately noticed oil on the pan and on our garage floor. Automax agreed to have it "fixed" by one of their technicians 07/15. Supposedly it was just a cracked oil cap and all was well. However, 07/16, we noticed the oil light was back on in the vehicle. 07/17 more oil was on the garage floor and we took the vehicle in for a thorough inspection.

Phil (salesman) assured me he would never sell me a vehicle that he wouldn't sell to his own mother. Purchased 2014 MercedesBenz CLA250 from Automax Atlanta 12/21. Within a week, major problems, brought it to Mercedes dealership 12/28. Major Issues:Transmission replacement, Engine replacement, Turbo failed, spark plugs replacement. Cost to me:$555.00 for diagnostics. Filed warranty claim, request engine tear down but expressed would not be approved only had car a week, these were pre-existing condition. Spoke Automax mgr Chad (very rude guy), told me they were not responsible for what happens after leaving with car. Was able to get ***'s info (GM). Brought car to *** on 2/4, who told me he'll get car fixed or give me a new car. Car was finally ready for pick up 4/26. No definite answer or documentation of what was replaced. Less than a week, 5/1 car leaves me strandedengine failure. *** told me to have car towed to repair shop, claims he'll get warranty approved. Warranty again requests tear down, which costs $500. Haven't been able to get *** to approve $500.

I told them I would just fly down and drive it back to Minnesota, I asked them to make sure the oil was changed, the battery was in good working order, that a service light was taken care of and that it had a full tank of gas to start my trip home . When I got to atlanta it had a empty tank and the service light was still on and they said the other things were taken care of . When I got back to Minnesota I took it to my local service garage for plug change and they said it could use a oil change because it hadn't was over due. Less than a month later I took it in again and they showed me that the battery was in need of replacing. I called automax atlanta to try to get reimbursed for some of my expenses or airfare because they didn't ship the car to me and they would not work with me on any of my extra expenses or airfare .

We purchased a 2014 Convertible Volkswagon Beetle for $16,587 on 8/23. We received the car on 9/5. The vehicle was nowhere near the condition that was advertised. It has many cosmetic defects, a foul odor that does not go away, & it was delivered dirty with even jewelry still on the floor board. We were told that the car had not been smoked in which is a lie. Someone tried to mask the smell by pouring some nasty smelling cleaning solution inside the car. There's holes on the back seat and several other places from cigaret burns. The floor carpets are nasty. There's long scratches that looks like claws from a cat on the front hood. There's dings on the side passenger door. The convertible top is ruined & needs to be replaced. Many attempts to return car by reaching out to Lionel the sales mgr, Chad the general mgr, and the owner Omar. They said that we had to pay $1,100 to return it. That is a rip off but agreed. Since then they have ignored us and the car is still in our driveway.

I found a vehicle I wanted to buy online from Automax, we spoke on the phone to a man who says his name is Shawn, and sent 300 dollars earnest money to secure the car while I arranged financing through my bank. The car was advertised as being Phantom Gray, but when they sent paperwork, it all said Mica Green, when we asked why it said this, they claimed it was a clerical error, so ok, the color was not a deal breaker, and we moved forward with the deal. after Automax received payment for the 2007 Toyota Sequoia on 05/23, they still have not delivered the vehicle. Many attempts have been made to understand why this is the case, at first, I could understand that it was a holiday weekend, but then they started telling me that they could not find anyone to deliver my car. So I finally reached out to a local transport company (Roadrunner) and was able to get a quote of 625-695 dollars to deliver the vehicle, and forwarded this info to Automax. Still no call, no delivery. At this point, I have lost all faith in this company, and wish to cancel delivery and get a full refund in a timely manner.

It has been over 60 days and they still haven't sent the title paperwork to our local tag office. We traded our 2011 GMC Acadia in at Automax for a 2017 GMC Acadia. Our temp tag expired on feb 18. We went to our local tag office numerous times trying to get our car registered. They never had any info when we went and were never able to register our vehicle. We called the dealership numerous times. They told us on Feb 10 that the title paperwork was in the mail and being sent to our tag office. It never showed up. We ended up having to get a temp tag through our local tag office, which expires on March 20. We've reached out to the dealership numerous times trying to figure out the status of our title. They called us on Feb 24 and told us that we'll probably have to turn the car back in to them and they'll pay off the loan to our bank like the purchase never happened cause they claim that carmax won't release the title to them. Here it is March 11, and we still haven't heard anything back from them. I have oncology appts, physical therapy appts, and I drive my daughter to and from school everyday. We can't afford another car payment, so our money is tied up in this one until they pay the loan off or give us the title paperwork so we can actually drive the car. I traded my car in under the presumption that I was buying this car, and now I can't even legally drive it on the road, but am still expected to make car payments, which hinders me from being able to purchase another car.

03/20 I was mislead when I was sold a vehicle without state emissions. They are frauds, I was told they check there vehicles major part and fluids. 03/06 left deposit $900.00.I came check the vehicle and they confirmed they check all the major parts and fluids topped off. What dealer wouldn't check if the vehicle had oil before they sell a vehicle. I returned 03/20 and I asked roger the sales man if they look over the vehicle he went to confirm this manager that they did check everything. Then as we walked out of the dealer my husband realized there was no approved passed emissions in the paper work . I spoke with the manager Tony he confirmed they are a dealership if any major goes wrong they will handle it.03/24, Check engine light came on and low pressures light came on and I explained in my researched that it could be the engine timing chain went. I emailed the dealer with the issues.And codes print out details. They had the vehicle for a week they said the problems was fixed on 03/30. I thought the timing chain was handled and the o2 sensor and converter.All they did is took it to a shop that changed the O2 sensor and installed it to a smaller converter that didn't fit my vehicle.The Shop said it would make the engine work harder but they told the dealer they told me that it wasn't the correct converter so they added a spacer (Cheater) so it can pass the emissions test.the shop told this to me when I had to bring the vehicle back ,04/06 because the check engine light came back on once they said it was repaired. At this point I asked for a refund and refund of the days lost . Tony the sales manager said I had it to long at that point I haven't had the car more then 7 days. Now when the took it back to work on it they gave me a loaner vehicle now the third time they just gave me the address to the shop to go to and no offer for help to how we were going to get home. Oscar the repair shop manager tell me we can wait all day until the work is done when they already know how sick I am. So as were leaving down to the shop the vehicle make this loud nose. Come to find out the sales team lied they don't check the fluids before they sale the vehicle. The vehicle had no oil remind you they had the vehicle for a week. The sales date 03/06 but I didn't pick it up until 03/20 more then enough time for them to look it over and I called before I came I asked the sales man Roger once again to make sure they check he put me on hold and confirmed they did.So it was never check so that was were the nose was coming from me and my children waited two hours and thirdly minutes for them to bring me two bottles of Dollar General oil. This was on 04/01 and 04/06 we went to the shop . This has been a fraud deal from start to finish. So 04/06 I took it to Smith tires and repair in Roswell GA. They did a sound pressures test to confirm the low pressures light was due the the engine timing chain went so they said if your going to do that it will be $4178.00 to fix it mind you I paid $4700.00. That is as much as what I paid for the vehicle. If they really checked the vehicle they would know to never sell the vehicle and sell it for junk.I called back once they did this test to the dealer to ask then if they can repair this when I did bring this to them and the shop manager Oscar said no. I called back to speak to the shop manager or Tony the sales manager but they wasn't in but the other manager he told me they sold a vehicle to a woman that is stuck in Florida Honda Odyssey.I called to speak to the owners and they said there never in the business please help me to speak with the owners.
