Waiting to claim from insurance almost 3 weeks and no feedback
I took out a contract october 2014, as a gift for my mom. On 16 january 2016 she lost the phone. I phoned in to block the device I got a reference number and had to wait 2 - 24 hours before I could get an itc nr, on the 20th I phoned in again as I was still waiting for itc nr, the lady who assisted me said that the call was logged incorrect and she had to do it all over, I eventually got the itc nr 25 january 2016 which was 8 days later after wasting my airtime everyday. The same monday I went to the police station to get a case nr and then went to auto page zevenwacht mall in cape town where shikita assisted me, she did all the paper work and said she will send it through immediately, ever since she hasn't followed up, I had to phone every day to find out whats happening and then she would tell me to phone the call centre directly and this is unacceptable, why should I be the one phoning around but I then phoned the call centre and according to lady who assisted me, they've never received my paper work. I then phoned this morning 04/02/2016 to the branch in zevenwacht mall again where kaylin answered the phone. She couldn't help me, neither could the manager, they not sure what shikita did with my paper work and I have to phone back when shikita is back which will be tomorrow. I'm seriously disappointed and this is real bad service no one is helpful not even at the branch. No one could even give me an amount of how much the excess fee will be. Retention department
Good day please assist my name is Khumotso my dad has a contract with altech auto page. We did a telephonic upgrade about 6 months ago the account and the handset premium is paid to date. My phone was stolen on the 3rd of January when I reported the matter I was told the premium for the handset is less than what im suppose to pay. I then called to get clarity on why we were not informed on this, im still awaiting feedback from the manager Zaheer Valle who seems to not be interested. Ive spoken to Triafina Nomsa, Yvonne and the latest Bianca, who was rude and obnobnoxious. Im utterly disgusted at the level of service auto page has offered to me. They disregard to assisting a client's query is shocking. No client centricity at all.
Unethical behaviour
After of moths of reporting suspected fraudulent activities on my Autopage service. This was to the value of R7500 in May 2015. The requested an URL report which took month to get. They blocked my line altogether. Recently I requested this so called investigation results. I spoke to a lady from their legal department on 2015/12/30 indicating it still under investigation. She put me on hold and after 2 minutes put me through to billing. I requested the results of the investigation in a formal letter from them as they never communicating anything to me. All I got was a technical report, attached. that had not letterhead and did not even had my name on it. No there handed me over for collection and I got the first call from their collectors.
Name given up at credit bureau
30/11/2015 ref: 1.[protected] On the 30/11/2015 I received an e-mail and sms from vvm debt collectors that my details has been updated at the credit bureau. That same day I phoned them and they Informed me that an amount of R7270 is still outstanding on this account. Directly after this I phoned Altech Autopage and they informed me this was on an account I closed more than 7 months ago and there was a penalty on early cancellation. I then informed the lady that this was the first I heard of this payable amount and that I would like physical evidence of the notifications sent to me. After numerous E-mails sent to Altech Autopage and VVM debt collectors I am still no closer to getting any answers.According to the lady at VVM debt collectors they are the 3rd debt collecting company that has my account as no-one could get in contact with me over the past several months. I still have an account with Autopage, no phone call from them has been received on this number. My invoices has always been sent to my mail address, but no notifications has been sent there either. I would like for them to clear my name at the credit bureau and clear all debts I allegedly owe them as they never notified me of it as I closed the account.
Morning today 28/12/15 my phone is locked as i am at month to month contract . Is been 3 months asking to be put on prepaid as the poor service i have received from the you company. I have phone laid a request for opening of my line. No reference number was give when i ask for writtern apology as the phone is my tool of trade. I personally call today as 28/12/15 the phone was hang up on me five times when i request Ref no or when is the phone i going to be open.

Charged for bandwidth I didn't use
I have been charged almost R8000 for bandwidth on my cell phone which had a soft cap on. Although they said it can't be 100% guaranteed (all cellular companies can on prepaid services). They couldn't prove my usage as I made a claim and made an affidavit, that it was not me that used the data. They requested a URL account and the last was that it was a mistake. I stopped monthly payment as they blocked my account. Now they handed me over to their legal department. I am willing to continue payment if they communicate with me, my service is restored and they waive the monthly payment while this was under investigation and I was falsely accused. (This was in May 2015). Service brought from Autopage cellular in Galleria Amanzimtoti. The couldn't provide me an account or any other detail at this store on 2015/12/06 except that I was handed to their legal department.
Staff
This morning I was being attended to by a lady at the Eastgate branch when a young man arrived at work (11.30) - sat down between her and another man who was sticking labels onto pamphlets - and proceeded to have an extremely LOUD conversation with the label man. It was so loud he could be heard outside in the passage. Myself and the lady who was helping me both asked him to speak quietly, and what irked me the most was he laughed. How dare a sales person laugh at a customer! I have noticed over the past year or so a growing trend of indifference towards customers in general across a lot of retail outlets, and to me this all comes down to training. You would never find this kind of attitude towards customers anywhere else in the world. It borders on arrogance and disrespect and I intend to cancel my contract with you as soon as my contract is over.
Damaged goods
I am beyond being a happy and loyal client and this for almost 10yrs. In April I upgraded. I opted for a Samsung S6 Edge. And so the nightmare started.I have had to book in this device 3 times already; once vodacare and twice Altech. This will be the 3rd time. I asked for a new device but instead Altech blocks me, a paying customer on Facebook they removed my voice completely. I went to your stores, the service agents agree with my dilemma yet head office says to me that I should wait. They can fix it. And let's me wait for 3-4 weeks for this device. I run my own business you don't care about that as long as I pay... I lose money whilst you do that... why ? Where is the heart in your customer service comoradie? When I charge my phone. I use Samsung chargers. I switch it off until it is fully charged. Than I switch it on. Within less than 5min the bat life dropped to 80%. It burns my face literally the way it's warm and 2hrs later... no bat life. 3 times. Really? One unpaid debit order and you disconnect my services. I am taking this to ICASA and the complaintsboard as well as hellopeter. I get no joy, help or proper treatment from you.
Excessive billing
Good day itemised.50 in july which comes off my bank account as a debit order. However my average is r500.00pm. I made numerous phone calls to autopage querying this account they sent me forms to complete to get itemised billing from them. Needless to say I never got it, I phoned again numerous times after that with no positive feed back they kept telling me I must wait for the url. However I phoned again this morning and spoke to a manager named ashley who informed me that 90 days has passed since its to late to get the information although I queried before 90 days he would not do anything to help me. I gave him my reference numbers which are 857210 and 877288 and still nothing. Is there anything I can do about this matter. Thanking you. Mary
Scratched laptop and poor service
I have been an Autopage customer for the past 15 years. I upgraded my laptop contract at the end of April 2015. On 17 October 2015 I took the lenovo laptop to Autopage Alberton because the laptop was switched on but the screen was blank. The laptop still had the original screen plastic on and I informed them that the plastic must not be removed. I was subsequently informed that the hard disc drive will be replaced. On 14 November 2015 I went to Autopage Alberton to collect my laptop. The consultant insisted that I sign for the laptop before I can open it. I refused to sign until I see the laptop. When I opened the laptop the screen plastic was removed and the screen was full of scratches, almost like it was wiped with a scratch or dusty cloth. I informed the consultant that I cannot sign for the laptop because it did not have any marks when I gave it in. I was informed that I have to sign and complain after. I left the laptop at Autopage Alberton and left. I spoke to Katlego at Autopage head office on 16 November 2015 who gave me a reference number 933291 and said that I will get a result on the next day. On 18 November 2015 I spoke to Leonard at Autopage head office who informed me that it will take time for them to resolve my complaint which could take up to a month. I have been without my laptop for a month already which I am paying on time every month. I am very unhappy with the service that I have been receiving from Autopage. I will not have accept this scratched laptop as I gave it to them with no marks on it.
Bad service!
I've had a contract with Autopage for the past +-4years and for the first time this month I didn't receive my monthly allocation that I receive on the 1st of each month. I called the Autopage call centre on Tuesday the 3rd of November when I realised that I was still not allocated my airtime the lady told me she will escalate the issue and I should wait 24 hours for the allocation and if I still don't get the allocation I must call back. I called the call centre again on the 4th of November at 02H00 and got through to a girl called Shaneez, I told her what my issue was and that I haven't received my allocation, she insisted that my allocation was sent to my phone that and there was nothing that could be done because the system shows that I have received the airtime, after going back and forth with her I asked to speak to her supervisor and she rudely told me that the supervisor will tell me the same thing as she had told me and she can't call her supervisor to the phone. I insisted to speak to her supervisor and she bluntly refused, I asked for her surname and she refused. eventually she put me on hold for over 5mins until I hung. I still haven't received the allocation today! I need this issue sorted asap.
Poor service and excessive data charges
I have been charged for data excessively and can not get a clear answer from Autopage where and how data was used. I had an additional 1 Gig loaded, but was charged a R175 for data about a week later. I use my office wifi 95% of the time and use the data on this line with extreme caution.In between I was charged and not charged at random times after. And I have a limit of R150, but was notified only after a week and an additional R280 later. Today on the start of a new month, I get soft locked. Yesterday I went to Autopage Bayside to complain and after repeatedly saying to the employee I am not upset with him personally, but I'll will take it further. He kept on saying I am wasting my time, I will not get helped. I asked his name for record purposes. He refused to give me his name and refused to help me further and threatened to have me removed by security.
Dishonesty
2 months ago i went to altech in menlyn shopping center and got a laptop for R360.00 per month stating it must be a CLOSED contract. MR KNOLL who decided he doesnt care and made it a open contract. My first month i got a bill for R1499.00 when I went back to menlyn to speak to this guy he laughed in my face and had me in tears saying I don't have a leg to stand on and I just gotta pay . I opened a dispute and got told it takes 7 working days. 7 days later I called and someone closed the dispute with saying its not valid. I opened another dispute that until today nothing has been done. I asked several ppl at head office to help me with this and not one calls me back or helps me. Month 2 I got a bill for 2999.99 which I can not afford cause I only budget on paying 360, 00. Again they laughed in my face and told me sorrryyyyyy not their problem. i am highly pist offff for the non excisting customer service and discriminating service from them and the guy MR KNOLL att menlyn .
Faulty goods / device
I cannot believe that I have to resort to this yet again. I have had endless problems with a brand new device I had upgraded to. The device was hardly 6months old and has been booked in 3x already. I was adviced that it may be a factory default. As a result I have been without a device for a month if not longer. I have just started up my own Life and Business Consultancy and depend on that device. Can anyone of you imagine the agony... So to date I have been sent from pillar to post and classically advised that it is being investigated and marked for or as priority. Honestly, which one of you would settle for that repair after being sent back 3x already?
3G data
I have been with altech autopage between 6 and 10 years with no complaints on cellc or mtn.in may i had to upgrade after my data and cell contract came to an end.because i have contracts with cell c and altech i took both my stick to the store so they can check the card no`s to pinpoint the stick under their contract.a very long episode in a few sentences.2 persons worked my contract, went home nothing worked went back they gave me a wrong size card, lady was on leave send me to their other branch sandton city.they loaded my card came home it did not work, my first bill came (on my history i spend on average R600/month)it was R2100.I went back 2 more people worked on my laptop saying they will do settings, went home, battled to get on to internet, used other stick, second bill came R60 less than june.I went to altech h/o complaining my laptop was not working right with my new stick and i dont want to take it back to the stores.they worked on it and the next bill was R3100.I have lost total faith in the abillity of altech staff and locked my stick in the safe.I will not have another month like this.if i know i can trust anybody at altech i will let them sort my problem, but after reading this blogg can i trust anybody, maybe the MD?i dont know if the stick is corrupt or faulty but i am to scared to trust anybody at altech-maybe i must take another contract with cell c.anybody brave enough to check my acc history my no is 1.[protected]

New contract upgrade a billing disaster
Earlier this year I called Altech Autopage to cancel my contract as it was expiring in a month. They put me through to a guy who sold a new (lucrative) package to me which was too good to reject, and I took a leap of faith that I won't have the bad service that I was experiencing in the past. I've been a client for around 7 years.
In month 1 of my new contract I ran out of date (TWICE) for the first time in my life. I called in and logged a querie (705988) only for them to come back and say that I don't have a data bundle. I requested the voice recordings and they admitted that this was an error on their behalf. They then activated the data for the next month.
On 17 May I received a cellphone bill of almost 3 times my usual amount and noticed they billed me R956 extra for data (after they admitted they never activated it).
I logged another query (789670) and every single time I have to call back as nobody ever return my calls. They said I received data and the billing is correct. I have spoken to roughly 9 people in the past 3 months and they just log queries and then read the automated message to me. I am beyond frustrated and feel robbed of my time and airtime I've wasted on these calls. All for nothing. I have opened a THIRD query (818 472) which they also rejected now.
I don't know what to do anymore but feel really done in since they admitted to the mistake and I had to pay for it. I deeply deeply regret signing up with them for another term.
My contract also expires in March 2015 and a salesman also convinced me to upgrade again (didn't really want to) but I did. One week later I received my new phone and sim card. when I switched on the phone the sim was not working, I phone autopage and they say to whait 48 hours, so I wait a week! still nothing only emergency calls aloud. I wend to the nearest autopage shop and they gave me a new sim and also tell me to wait 48 hours, 1 week later still nothing. I phone help desk and put in several queries but no one knows what to do or they just put the phone down in my ear. then I tried to cancel the contract! o boy then they want 24 months of money first. I never used the new phone or was able to call on the sim card. so disappointed in autopage. they are robbers. they still take money every month but STILL NO SIM CONNECTED! I HATE THEM MORE! USELESS BUNCH OF PEOPLE WORKING WITH ACCOUNTS
I agree with the complainant. I have also renewed my contract this year in June, But honestly I regret that fully. Since my new contract, I have experienced nothing but MISERY. I am paying though the debit order but either they take double payment, when I complain, no one is calling back to update you and inform you what are they doing with the problem. Now I have just received the new Invoice that is billing me for 2 months. Why is the debit was not in place in the month of September for me to now pay unbudgeted amount close to R1000.00 a month for just a cell phone, I do not understand.
I refuse this inconvenience as we all work with budget and this is not budgeted for. I regret this contract renewal because of the Autopage's billing disaster and inconsistence. At first they were over billing me and no one is in touch to resolve the issues, I must always keep on calling. I am so tired of them and their inconsistency. I HATE AUTOPAGE ALTECH.
Repair in warranty
I got a Lenovo tablet from Autopage on a 2gb contract. After nine months of use it couldn't read its sim card. I took it back to Autopage Paarl to have it repaired under warranty on 2015-04-09. I was informed to wait six weeks for the repairs. After exactly six weeks I received it on Friday 2015-05-21. I did not have time to test it immediately and only tested it the next day and found that the speakers distorted and that the screen had a hazy white border. I tried phoning them but they do not answer their phones. It just rings till it stops. On Monday 2015-05-25 I took it back to them and explained everything to them. They could not give me an acknowledgement of receipt as their system was down. I also asked the lady (Fredalien) to please try and speed up the repair as the tablet was with them already for six weeks and that there was nothing wrong with the speakers or the screen and that it must have been damaged by them. I also told her that my warranty expires during July 2015. Again she gave me a lot of tel nr's to contact her. The following numbers 021-[protected]/0600319/20/21/22. When I tried contacting them by telephone - the same thing. They do not answer. Then I sent a mail. I received the following answer from Dee-Wayne : " In response to your mail, please be advised that the store underwent

I was fortunate to reach them by telephone on 2015-06-03 and spoke to Adrian Goossen. After explaining the problem to her I was informed that she could not help me and I had to wait for the repair centre.
To date I am still without my tablet and have been paying for a service/product that I had no use of for more than three months. In the meantime my warranty also expired and I am not sure what will happen now if there is something wrong with it again.
I would appreciate it if somebody from Autopage could contact me or solve this problem. I also want them to extend the warranty for the period that they had it as I will need time to properly test it. I want this because I feel they took unnecessary long to repair something that they damaged.

Bad service with an upgrade
I was contacted by a lady called leah on tel number [protected] she informed me that i ca upgrade and receive a phone the next day. The phone a blackberry z3 arrived and i realised that it did not ring. I contacted leah and she sent the courier back to pick up the phone. Now i see that my account has increased with more that half the monthly amount and i have apparently upgraded without a phone. I keep on getting messages that said this matter is now closed. . . What does that mean? Am i getting a new phone or what because at this rate i want to cancel my account! I tried for two solid weeks every day to talk to someone at autopage and not oneo not one can answer me! Pls help! [protected] petro - no phone no billing!

I have had no luck escalating my Autopage problems for more than a month via the normal service channels and then finally got to the person who CAN make a difference at the very top. He is Najima Moosa Email address Najma Moosa NMoosa@Autopage.Altech.co.za - I suggest you email him directly or phone him directly [protected] -this is much more effective than trying the service line. This is really the only way and the only person who can handle your complaint for immediate satisfaction. You are wasting your time trying anybody else or any other avenue. If it is urgent keep sending emails every 30 minutes.
Tired of struggling with Autopage Bad Service? Then contact Mr Najima Moosa directly immediately and just keep pestering him untill ALL your services issues are resolved. He has the authority and is the decision maker - DO NOT LET HIM FOBB YOU OFF to someone else, that is simply a feedback loop. Stay with him and continue emailing him and calling him directly untill Autopage gives you good service as promised.
All my emails to the Service Desk yielding zero results. Phoning the support desk yielded no results for a month. Mr Najima Moosa is the man!
International roaming queries
Good day,
I have contacted AutoPage on many occasions to give me a breakdown of my international roaming bill. They are now telling me that i am liable for a R30000 phone bill when they cannot provide proof that i have expensed that amount of usage on my account. I was told by their agent that my usage for the month of May was around R1750 and i confirmed for a 2nd time with her to ensure that there was no error in the messages i have received from Autopage.
I do not agree with these charges an no one in their business seems to care and to assist me in resolving this.
Cell phone contract
We have 2 cell phone and one 2 gig data card contract with Autopage. The 2gig data card has a standing instruction to suspend service (softbar) when the data usage exceeds 2 gig. In may we received an invoice on more than R3000.00 for data usage. We paid the monthly charge for the data card and the invoice amounts for the cell phone contracts. Now Autopage suspended service on all 3 contracts and can give no explanation for the data usage. We consider this as a breach of contract.
Incorrect deductions
I would like to lay a formal complaint with Autopage regarding my account. I have made numerous inquiries with you guys of an incorrect deduction on my account and you guys have still not sorted out my query.
Its been 5 months and you guys are still deducting incorrectly from my account, ref number is 595866/ 649795. I have spoken to Pre-anne, Marco(dealt with my hellopeter enquiry) who said it will be sorted out and still same ****. I have spoken to Simphiwe who said it will be handled. I spoke to Mpho Sepeesa on 13/05/2015. She said there is number(contract) on my account that's not suppose to be mine. I cancelled my [protected] and paid the settlement amount in January 2015. I have since queried every second or third week to refund my money and to cancel the number, I spoke to Trisha Govender in accounts who said she will put me on a cash basis but still an amount was deducted end of this month and I also paid R150 now, so what the f... is going on in your accounts division, I keep on calling and nothing seems to be done. please sort out your ****...
