Avanti Residential, LLC is a real bummer, let me tell ya. The folks in charge of leasing will straight up lie to your face about the amenities they offer and the help you can expect from the leasing office. It's a real slap in the face once you've signed that lease, because that's when they start treating you like dirt.
Avoid this company at all costs
Avoid this company at all costs. Their service doesn't even exist, and all they do is take your money for below-average properties. They lie, are disrespectful, and don't treat you like a human being. I'm not kidding... places like this should be closed down. It's just pure greed. There's no room for this kind of behavior in the housing market. We're talking about people's homes here.

My car got towed by Klaus towing, which is contracted by Sky at Bear Creek. The property manager didn't know about my car being towed. My contract states the rules for parking, including the time, manner, and place for all cars. I had a sticker in my car window, but it still got towed without any notice. I've reported this to the Colorado Attorney General's office.

I already talked to ***, but she and *** had some kind of agreement that didn't involve me. I'm attaching my lease to prove that I was the only one on it. I shouldn't be responsible for whatever *** and *** were doing. I'm back in *** for another job and wanted to move back into the property, but I can't because of ***'s balance.

They took me on a tour, but the apartment was too small. They then mentioned they had a larger one, which caught my interest. However, they said they didn't have the key because it was being renovated. Despite this, I paid the application fee and a hundred and fifty dollars to hold the apartment for viewing on 12/27. Unfortunately, they never called to update me on anything. Now, I'm trying to get a refund for the apartment holding. The reason I don't want the apartment anymore is because they increased the move-in cost. I was originally told it would be ***, but now it's higher. It's unfair for them to take money for something I never even got to see.

My wife and I dealt directly with the complex. We paid for everything too. The complex told us to go to Cort for furniture rental. Sadly, our granddaughter passed away a few days ago. Our daughter and son-in-law are devastated and went back to their own home. When we called Cort, they were understanding and agreed to quickly pick up their furniture. But the apartment complex won't let them in. Now they want power of attorney from two grieving people just so Cort can get their own furniture. They never asked for any power of attorney when we made the deal and paid. They're not responding to our attempts to end the agreement. Other businesses have been more compassionate.

I moved out on May 24. My family and I lived in Alturas at *** for a year. We were moving our stuff out when *** the manager came in to check the apartment. He said it looked good and told us not to vacuum or clean. He said we could leave trash and dirt because he had cleaning ladies. However, he wanted my son ***(*** used to work with you guys as maintenance at ***) to do some painting and cover the small holes from where I had my pictures hanging. He promised to return our deposit, but my son didn't want to do it because he doesn't work for them anymore and shouldn't be doing that work. The apartment didn't have any damage, no tears in the carpet, and the blinds were in great condition. The windows and doors were fine, but when we moved in, the apartment only had one door in one of the bedrooms. I received my deposit for *** with no invoice. He said he would send me $800, not $1200.

On 9/27/2022 at around 4 pm, I talked to ***, the Property Manager at Dwell Apartments, Avanti Residential. I told her that I need an apartment, and I have a "ding" on my credit that is wrongful and three years old from auto dealer fraud. *** told me that it shouldn't be a problem (which turned out to be a false promise and deceitful, like a scammer) and asked me to come in today, 9/28/2022. I went there this morning at around 10:30 am and asked for ***, but I got *** instead. I started explaining to *** about the "ding" on my credit and what I mentioned earlier. I also mentioned that I am willing to pay more for a deposit for #***. *** ASM said it's not a problem (another false promise and deceitful, like a scammer). I paid $208.59 on ***'s computer. *** said she would call me, but she lied. A few hours later, I drove down to Dwell to ask about the status and show *** the wrongful "ding" for auto dealer fraud and my documents. *** said "NO" (which is misrepresentation again, as I explained to her about AZ Consumer Fraud and the law). I told her that what both of them did is "bait and switch" and it's Consumer Fraud Title 44-1376.03 Unfair or Deceptive business practices and ARS 44-1542 (attached). Please credit my checking account $208.59 today.

It was the same apartment I wanted originally when I applied to live there. I said I would take it. I had walked through it 8 months earlier when I ended up in apt ***. On 9/2/2022, I went to the managers office to get the keys, sign the lease, and do the walk through. The manager was having anxiety. It took her 5 times of entering the information for me to sign my lease. She told me she was having anxiety and that it was new for her. I told her lets go for a walk and do the walk through and it might help her anxiety. She said we don't need to do a walk through because she had sent an employee to do it that morning. I wanted to do the walkthrough but didn't think too much about it because I had walked through it 8 months prior. I walked into the apartment for a minute before running to get my dog from daycare. I noticed a smell like mold immediately. I already had a uhaul truck rental and moving help for the next morning. I was hopeful the smell would air out, and it was very late to cancel the truck and movers I had scheduled for the next morning. When we arrived with the truck full of my stuff from storage unit, I still smelled the mold smell. We left the door wide open the entire time of moving the items in, which was a couple hours. The smell was a little less, but once the door was closed and I entered again later, it still smelled very stronly of mold. I sent an email to the manager - it was a long holiday weekend. I am still living in a hotel because of the mold smell in the apartment. I went to office and got manager to come over. She said it smelled like dirty baby *** powder. I was told she would have a guy go in the next day to check walls for moisture. I stopped by after work, and noticed they had sprayed a can of air freshener in there - that smelled like baby powder.
