I found Key Property Management through an ad for a rental in Las Vegas in May
I found Key Property Management through an ad for a rental in Las Vegas in May . The first realtor I talked to was really mean to me, which was not cool. I complained to the big boss and they gave me John Maher's number. John sent me a bunch of rentals that were "available" and we set up a time to see them. We spent like 4 hours looking at places. I liked two of them. One was at a place called ***. John said he talked to the property manager and the other person who wanted it had bad work history, so I could apply. He said the application fee was $50.00 and I had to print it out and take it to the office. This was on Wednesday 5/26. I printed it out, filled it in, and got a money order. On Thursday 5/27 I went to the address on the application and it was all torn up and being fixed. When I called the office, they hung up on me.
I'm Mark and I wanna complain about Key Property Management
I'm Mark and I wanna complain about Key Property Management. They messed up our credit report cuz they didn't do their job right. We told them we were leaving cuz of Covid-19 and they didn't show up for the walk through. We went to their office to give back the keys and stuff and they said they'd let us know if we owed anything. But they never did! Then we found out they sent our account to a collector and put fake charges on it. They need to get in trouble for this!
They kept most of my deposit, even though I left the house clean and in great shape
They kept most of my deposit, even though I left the house clean and in great shape. I really liked the house and took good care of it, but the landlord didn't seem to care. In Nevada, they're only allowed to charge for damage caused by negligence, but they charged me for every little thing they could find. They even charged me $20 for screwing in a light fixture that I had removed when I moved in. And they claimed they did landscaping two months before I moved out, but I never knew about it and it wasn't added to my rent. When I asked why they kept so much of my deposit, they showed me a bill for it. It's not fair and I wouldn't recommend this property management company.

The property manager did some work on my rented property without asking me first or updating me
The property manager did some work on my rented property without asking me first or updating me. I got a bill on 12th Oct 2020 for property management fees and saw that there were two unauthorized work orders on 9/28 & 10/12. Both were about plumbing and faucets. Vivien told me about one of the issues on 9/13, but I didn't hear anything else until I got an email on 9/29 saying that the work wasn't finished yet. I gave them the contractor's details, but I didn't get any more information from Key Property Management. When I checked my bill, I saw that I was charged for something I didn't know about. I talked to Brian H(owner) and asked for proof of the agreement on the work orders, but he couldn't show me anything. He said I should get the reimbursement from the ***.
Me, my mom, and my daughter rented a condo from Key Property Management from 03/07 to 03/31/22
Me, my mom, and my daughter rented a condo from Key Property Management from 03/07 to 03/31/22. We had a final inspection on 03/30/22 with Kirsten A. She said everything was good except for a loose towel rack and a dirty medicine mirror. She said they knew about these things before we moved in. She gave me a signed document saying I didn't have to do anything. She said the condo was clean and well kept. A few weeks later, I got my deposit back. It was supposed to be $1,250.00, but it was only $1,040.00. They charged me $210.00 for cleaning because they found urine around the toilet and the shower door was dirty. They didn't say anything about this during the final inspection. If they had told me, I could have fixed it. I don't know if someone else caused the problem after the inspection. I don't think it's fair to charge $210.00 for cleaning a little bit of urine and a dirty shower door. I think Key Property Management didn't act in good faith. My mom and I are disabled seniors on a fixed income, so this is a big problem for us. Please help. Thank you, Celia M MA MFT.
I told Key Property Management I was moving out in 30 days
I told Key Property Management I was moving out in 30 days. I cleaned the apartment before leaving, but I didn't clean the microwave or oven. I'm a regular person with a job and kids, so I was tired. I knew I wouldn't get my whole deposit back because I didn't get the carpets professionally cleaned. After a few weeks, they sent me a letter saying I owed $220 on top of keeping my deposit. They said they had to replace the AC filter, but I just put a new one in the night before. They also charged me for lightbulbs that weren't even there when I moved in. When I moved in, the apartment was dirty and "as is." I cleaned it better than it was before. They said I had to pay for half of the paint job they did after I left, even though the walls weren't painted when I moved in. They're super ridiculous, and I wouldn't rent from them again. The lady who did the walk-through was also not very nice. I know they won't do anything to help me, but I don't think it's fair. I want them to take off or lower the $220, especially since I know I put in a new AC filter.
KPM has not kept our house up to code, according to Nevada law (NRS118A.355)
KPM has not kept our house up to code, according to Nevada law (NRS118A.355). We've had a lot of problems since moving in last September, as it's an older house that was flipped. Our back sliding door didn't work and we had a strong smell coming from the living room wall. We told KPM about these issues, but they didn't do anything. We even hired a lawyer to send them a letter, but they still didn't fix the rodent problem. We've sent them pictures and videos of the holes and damage, but they haven't done anything. We want to move out because we're stuck here all the time now, but KPM won't let us. We've spent over 60 hours dealing with them and they're very unprofessional and rude. We've seen other bad reviews online, so we know we're not alone. We hope our lawyer can help us leave soon.
