My name is ronnie cupp and I have been a b9 customer for a few years now and would recommend them too anybody that is looking for a great debit card checking and savings account with a lot of great benefits, early direct deposit, also provide cash advances up too $500 if you meet the simple qualifications, along with credit building, cash back. Best Bank I Have Had
B9 has been taking my money for 4 months despite account being closed. They lie and say funds are returned when they aren't. Shady company. DONT USE.
I desperately need help with my account. B9 has been taking $100 deposits from my account since September despite me requesting and confirming the closure of my account. These deposits have come out of my account each month and I am unable to access the funds due to being unable to login to my account. This is not okay. B9 has been taking my money each month. I spent a while on the phone with a representative today who refused to give me a manager to speak with. He kept claiming that funds are sent back to those with closed accounts within 3-5 business days. I have continuously explained that I have never received any of these $100 deposited funds credited back to my account. I need access to my account and need to be refunded all of my money or given the ability to withdraw the $400 since September that B9 has been taking from my direct deposits. Please give me immediate assistance in resolving.
Representative lied and said funds are returned to cancelled accounts. This is not true. B9 has been taking my deposits this entire time yet denying me access to my account. Do not use them.
Recommendation: DONT USE. REMOVE FROM DIRECT DEPOSIT. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR CHECK.

First off the way the company presents them self should not be allowed second off this company is not a bank they lie to you tell you to give them proof that a claim was flooded and they will give me my money back and now it’s a different story every day they been holding almost 600 of my line since 12/30/22 and after I gave them what they asked for they want to come back with some other excuse I stopped my direct deposit from my job. ANC also my Uber eats deposits from going to this account thr amount of money they charge to transfer money is ridiculous well over $100 just in the past 2 1/2 months on top of the 9.99 they charge

From the beginning it was nothing but issues. I wasn’t able to send money transfers. Until the following week the issue was resolved. Which left my deposit in limbo. I was willing to give it a shot had my debit card ordered, debit card lost in the mail. No big deal right? Until I find out there’s a limit on transfers you can send from B9 to another card. Now I can’t use any of my money deposited into the account and order a new card. Which leaves me with one option. Doing an ACH transaction and canceling my membership completely. I’ve never worked with any type of banking institution or otherwise in regards to dealing with my money that has left me so frustrated.This may work for other people, I’m sure, but it absolutely does not fit the standard for my life.Thanks but no thanks.
Useless for Advances. Repayment is Absolutely awful!
First off, I never liked the interface. I found it cumbersome and does not put the most important info upfront.
I’m familiar with advance apps and thought I’d use this one to help bridge between paydays. I received an initial advance of $100 which was great…until I realized that any money that goes into the account will automatically be used to repay the advance, even if you took out the advance that same day! I thought they’d debit me to repay the advance on my payday-which makes sense, but that is not the case. It made me so mad when I received a deposit the next day after getting a B9 advance (the advance was going to go to a bill, and then I was going to deposit some money for misc expenses until I got paid)-and the full deposit went to paying back the advance, leaving me with nothing until payday.
This shocked me so much because no other offering advances app does this. I immediately changed my direct deposit back to my old bank and closed this account. Absolutely useless.
B9 a no go
Thank you for all the people who left a review(Warning). I downloaded the app and started to set up an account to get my direct deposit put in it, I came here looking for bank more millennial friendly lol I’m actually switching from Dave. but thankfully I went back and read reviews before hand, again I really appreciate the people who left a warning for the next guy because I probably would’ve fell for they’re bullzhit also. I really dislike and despise companies that take advantage of hard-working Americans, If they weren’t so blinded by greed, treated people like they have common sense and with more respect they would probably get more customers but now they all they have is a bad rep and they deserve it. In today’s economy people who work hard for their money deserve way better then a so-called bank treating people like they’re just another $20 a month. What they don’t understand is that if it weren’t for the consumers that download this trash app and open accounts they wouldn’t have a company, THEY SHOULD BE THINKING YOU, The users of this app keep them employed. Judging from these reviews the world would be a better place without B9. Refuse to continue to let companies take a vantage of us hard-working consumers and remember they’re supposed to be working for you, They need to act like they’re grateful for every dollar you invest in this B9 app and ultimately into their company..
As for me they won’t be getting a dime, i’m headed to Money Lion, i’ve heard nothing but good from consumers about Money Lion from the cash advances to the helping you build your credit.
And hey people over at B9, Just a word of advice; you should really start acting like you’re not oblivious to the fact that people have better choices as to where they choose to invest their hard earned dollars.
Waste of time & worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with
So I thought I finally found an app that wouldn’t be as difficult as Bridgit and Earnin have been to use in my situation mainly due to my irregular pay schedule but boyyyy was I wrong! This has to be the worst ‘payday advance’ banking app I’ve ever used and this is coming from someone who uses multiple apps such as this with no issues whatsoever. My problem with B9 is the $9.99/month fee even if you’re not able to use the advance option (which if you ask me is probably the main reason why people even gave this app a chance to begin with) and when you do finally get ahold of customer service all they do is tell you the same thing you already knew basically just giving you the runaround. Finally I had to ask the representative to put me in touch with someone in management or whatever they call themselves because apparently she couldn’t tell me exactly why a refund credited back to my account was showing it was deposited 2 days earlier but never actually reflected my balance until today which has been one month since I opened this account so I was charged the $9.99 monthly fee. Honestly I wouldn’t mind except I asked to have my account closed almost a week before this happened since it wasn’t benefiting me at all compared to other similar apps that I use that don’t charge you to have them or use their advance services. And on top of all of that they’re telling me the monthly fee is not refundable which I think is unfair seeing as how the account should have been closed before it was able to be charged that fee. Oh yeah I almost forgot about the fact that no one can tell me why my most recent deposit transaction has 2 different dates either, other than basically just to go with what they’re telling me it says in their system. So yeah please don’t even waste your time because this whole app along with its customer service has been nothing but a joke & I’ll never recommend this headache to anyone who can get literally any other bank like this one.
Predatory Bank. Beware
Listen. It’ll save you some money. So far I’ve had this app for about 2 weeks now. Here’s what you should know. Upon getting my first deposit two weeks ago, my initial advance was $40. However, b9 put up a message saying that if I switch to premium for 3 months ($47 value), they’d increase my limit. So I went ahead with it and they increased my limit to $60. YOU WILL NOT GET 100% OF YOUR CHECK RIGHT AWAY. NO MATTER WHAT YOU PAY. I should have noticed that red flag, but moving on. I began to notice there was a HIDDEN FEE for everything. Sending $5 on cashapp ended up being $5.10 for b9. Getting $20 Doordash was actually 20.20. And so forth. Fast forward 2 weeks. I get paid again, over $2000 again and it repays the $60 advance immediately. Because of that, my advance has been increased to $75. Golly! They’re so generous. Once again. YOU WILL NOT GET A REAL 100% Advance. IT WILL POSSIBLY TAKE A FEW MONTHS TO GET ABOVE $300. IF you decide to go ahead with it, which I’d recommend you not, do not pay for a premium subscription until you’ve had it for months. That was my first mistake. Paying $47 was NOT WORTH IT.
Now back to the real icing on the cake. The fees and the predatory nature of this bank. Upon getting my second advance ($75), b9 told me if I pay $9.99, I get an instant increase to $125. ANOTHER BIG FLAG. But I took it. B9: WE USE YOUR FEES TO GET EVERYONE THEIR ADVANCES; SWITCH TODAY. Fast forward again. My mistake was thinking that there was a simple $0.10 charge on cashapp transactions. I send $1389 to someone on cashapp. B9 charged it as $1416. They took $27 WHEN CHIME HAS NEVER DONE THIS. The hidden fees are based on what you spend. There’s no set amount. I contacted support in the app. And get this! They told me to switch to “premium support” for $3. That way, I could get a response from them in 1 hour rather than 24 hours when not paying. I screamed lol! Switching my direct deposit back to chime. It was surely not worth my lost money. And the bank is surely not worth the hype. I’m looking for a Waaaaaaay better advance app so if anyone has one. Let me know. DO NOT GET THIS APP. SAVE MONEY AND HEALTH

I transferred my direct deposits and signed up. Sounded like a great app! Boy, was I ever wrong. The day my deposit came in, I was instantly charged $9.99 monthly fee. A day later, I was charged a $19.99 monthly fee. My card did not work a single time. I had thousands in the account and stood in the gas station repeatedly trying to pay for gas only to be declined 10x in a row for $15. I contacted support who responded days later in the middle of the night and when I didn’t immediately respond back (bc I was sleeping) closed the ticket. (Btw, they did this EVERY time I contacted support) Being as I could not use my card, I simply transferred all of my funds out in multiple transactions to my original bank account and added my B9 card to my Apple Wallet, which somehow did function properly. After doing so, I noticed I was charged over $85 in “External Wallet Fees” on top of the $9.99 monthly service fee followed 2 days later by a $19.99 Premium monthly service fee. Oh, the best part is I was NEVER eligible for an advance (the only reason I got the app in the first place) bc my only source of income is Social Security Survivors Benefits. They decided to tell me AFTER they charged all their fees that they do not consider SSI income. I have REPEATEDLY requested refunds for the ridiculous amount of fees. I’ve repeatedly explained and sent screenshots showing my card being repeatedly declined despite having WELL MORE than enough funds to cover the charges. Within minutes of the 2nd monthly premium fee charged within 2 days of $19.99 I requested a refund and stated I couldn’t even use the app (card non functional, cant get advances, no support, etc…) and I was told I agreed to the fees when I signed up. This entire thing has been a nightmare. Support is 100% useless. Ive asked via chat in the app and via email to have the account closed at LEAST 8 times now, and every time I receive the same generic response asking me if I’m sure and then regurgitating the bull benefits they claim their app provides in the description on the App Store. They have failed in EVERY manner possible. They have taken advantage of someone on a fixed income. They have falsely advertised their benefits and fees. Their tech is non functional. PLEASE save your time, money and sanity and do NOT download this app. They are conartists.
Don’t use. THIS IS A SKETCHY STARTUP
Let me give you a timeline and please explain to me how you don’t see it in your system when there are emails, even if it’s your system is newer and has kinks to be ironed out, Id appreciate that answer more than some quick poor spewed back answer like a yes man with some polite jab. I signed up, and connected my payroll employer with Argyle. It requested for me to advance I needed to let it take $100 from my next pay check. So I allowed. Within an hour I saw that I could not advance until the $100 was taken within that same hour I contacted support for help cancelling that, THOUGHT i got the proper direction but apparently the $100 was still withdrawn on my paycheck. That same day 6/16/22 my account was closed after Adrian helped me close it and gave the direction on disconnecting my payroll. For clarity, I DID NOT RECONNECT ANOTHER, you asked this and I was not under the impression I had to connect another account for my previous to not be cancelled, THAT IS NOT WHAT I WAS TOLD 6/16/22 WHEN MY ACCOUNT WAS CANCELLED, NOT IN MAY LIKE IM BEING NOW TOLD AS OF THIS PAST FRIDAY. Most recent I reach out this past friday and am met with a Karen and each rep doesn’t know what’s going on or EVEN MORE SAD what the last rep said. I have to provide that…. how garbage is your system? As that’s what that shows me and any individual with a clear working brain. My issue is there’s $100 tied up I need to spend time tracking down but my BIGGEST issue is it appears your as if each rep can’t account for the past and there’s no real management in helping, so I feel like I connected my payroll to some sketchy startup that can’t care for my info. Like If I’m told I won’t be charged and I am, that tell me my info is stored after I removed it. So now I use more time in clarifying and receiving some answer that’s as good as telling me to go kick dirt.
Reassuring I chose to cancel that day.
This is what I sent to the email support… It’s been 2 days total trying to catch them up on what you would think they could see in their system. Each step of the way being politely told to eat dirt, while they answer maybe 1/4 of anything asked or being indicated needs to be resolved. … I get sketchy startup that just wants your money to be able to loan more out and clearly now where near a banking service like a commercial bank that actually resolves concerns and understands how their system works to be able to provide help and solve issues nor some upper management that can fix uncommon concerns.

A few months ago I was physically attacked and robbed.when I called b9 to report my card taken rather then then help me and protect my funds they punished me said it was my fault bc my pin was in my wallet it was the last 4 of my social which was in my wallet so as punishment they revoked my debit card and access to any card.now my funds are there I can't transfer them bc they said I reached my limit I can't use my debit b9 revoked it and I have till the end of today to pay my electric who was already here once today or it's shut off.b9 is by far the absolute worst bank I e ever delt with they make chime look amazing.now I'm in tears and b9 just says oh well there's nothing we can do.thanks to b9 they force a single mom and her children to sit in the dark

I have had numerous issues with funds being taken for their premium services and still getting no additional support same response time if any… nothing is resolved ever in regards to making a dispute. They send ai driven messages in response to any questions and concerns that do not answer or pertain to watch you are contacting them directly over…. They claim you get atm fees back which they sneak in their own fees on top of the merchant fees and they don’t even give you back the money. Their dispute resolution takes 90 days in which they don’t even try to do anything they just ignore you. It’s a scam and they just steal your money
Desired outcome: I want my money for memberships back and I want my disputed charges fixed and resolved

I needed help out of a Jam but instead B9 Jammed me up harder byAutomatically having my paycheck direct deposited into this account in order to get my money back and then cost me $30 to transfer it back to myself into my bank account on top of the fees to the fee it cost to open this account! I promise you that you will regret opening an account with this app!

I have switched over my direct deposit for it not to be in my account. I am a struggling single mother and not receiving my money could resort in bills being cut off. Terrible app
Awful awful awful! Please don’t use this app the interface is so confusing and they somehow get you signed up to a monthly subscription and there is no way to cancel but contacting their customer service through email. They don’t respond to any of my messages if I get charged i am going to have to dispute the transaction and cancel my bank account all over a cheap app that is super confusing save your self the time the money and the stress this app is not worth it I hope this company crumbles and disappears.

I wired the money back to pay them. And it didn't work. I tried adding my bank card.. Didn't work. I sent money by wiring it, and it didn't even go into my account. I tried contacting support and there IS NO support. Just a straight-to-message phone call. There is no support or help and I owe them 30 dollars. Nobody to answer me or anything. Worse online banking ever
Do not do not go with these guys. What they do to customers and how they ignore them blows my mind. They quick to take your money but when a mistake is done in there part you have to wait days for your money to be refunded. Agent advise me a few hours I would get my money back. And it’s been three days. They charge you for everything you pay for 9.99 basic service but for what?!?!? you don’t get any services oh you want help from them faster it’s going to coast you 16.99. they definitely need to have a investigation on this company cause what they are doing is not right .

WORST APP - DO NOT DOWNLOAD
I downloaded this app and they put me in a $9.99 plan that you can’t undo. I have searched everywhere a ‘Cancel Subscription’ button with no luck. I contact support and ask if I cancel my subscription the on the same day I downloaded the app, would I still be charge in a month, here is Rep. Damaris contradictory reply:
“ William, If we cancel the account you will not be charged And if you were charged for the monthly membership fee, we are unable to refund it.” -Damaris
The app replied YES and NO. She made nj sense. Here I am still struggling in unsubscribing. They will charge you BEWARE

I switched over my direct deposit to B9 mainly because of the advance offer. I get weekly direct deposit and was only getting $100 advance until I got scammed into paying $20 a month for membership then I got $500 advance but once you get that advance which will NEVER increase, don’t try to deposit even $1 because it will trigger payback and you will be negative on your balance. Do you never have a cushion!
