Disappointed!!!
Nice install. But found out it has been slow leaking for more than a year. Bath Fitter Lifetime warranty is just for the tub and enclosure, not the plumbing which was done incorrectly and they say they will not cover the repairs and new dry wall that needs to be replaced. Very disappointed in that the leak did start within their one year warranty period but was not discovered until after that period, so they will not cover cost to repair. A bit disappointed in Bath Fitter of Utah!
Bathfitter Review: False Advertising and Low-Quality Product
Bathfitter, let me tell you, is not what it seems. I'm from Westchester County, NY, and I had the Long Island reps come to my house to work on my shower. They told me it would be an easy job and that it would only take a day to complete. I was excited to have a new shower and quickly agreed to their proposal. They took my down payment and we set a date for the installation.
However, the day before the installation, I received a call from a lady named Mia from the office. She told me that they needed to reschedule the installation. I was frustrated because I had already taken a day off from work for this. I managed to reschedule for another day, but it was still inconvenient.
Finally, the day of the installation arrived, and the installer showed up late. He then told me that there was a problem with my plumbing and showerhead, and that I needed to upgrade them. This would cost me an extra $1200! I was shocked and felt like I was being scammed.
After the installation was complete, I was extremely disappointed with the final product. It looked cheap and choppy, not at all what I was expecting. I thought I was getting a high-quality shower, but instead, I received a cheap material shower product. I am extremely dissatisfied with this company and would not recommend them to anyone.
I feel like Bathfitter is using false advertising to sell their low-quality product. They promised me an easy installation and a high-quality shower, but instead, I got a headache and a cheap shower. I would advise anyone considering Bathfitter to think twice before making a purchase.
BathFitters: False Lifetime Warranty and Incompetent Workmanship
A few years back, I made a big mistake by hiring BathFitters to install a shower in my master bedroom. I paid a whopping $7000 for this job, expecting it to be done perfectly. They promised me a lifetime warranty for all the work done, but it turned out to be a complete lie. The caulking comes loose all the time, and I have had to get it repaired countless times. At least four times in the past few years, to be precise.
Today, I called BathFitters again to have the caulking repaired, and guess what? They told me that I have to pay $250 for this repair. What the hell is going on here? Where is the lifetime warranty that they promised me? It's not my fault that BathFitters is incompetent in doing quality repair and remodeling work. This is completely wrong, and I feel like I have been backstabbed.
It's false advertising for BathFitters to offer a supposed lifetime warranty and then not honor it. If I am forced to pay for repairs caused by improper work, I demand my money back. All of it! I have also taken legal action in this matter because I feel like I have been cheated.
In conclusion, I would not recommend BathFitters to anyone. They are not trustworthy, and their work is not up to the mark. If you want to save your hard-earned money, stay away from BathFitters.
BathFitters Review: Great Work, But Communication Could Be Improved During Pandemic
I recently had the pleasure of using BathFitters to redo two of the bathrooms in my home. The first bathroom was completed in late February and I couldn't be happier with the result. The second bathroom was scheduled to be started today, but unfortunately due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, I was worried that the job may be cancelled.
This morning, I called BathFitters to inquire about the status of the job and left a message asking for someone to call me back to let me know what was going on. Unfortunately, I never received a call back and I must admit, I was quite annoyed. As a customer, I expect a certain level of communication and it was disappointing that I didn't receive any updates.
However, I did reach out to the salesperson who sold me the job and he informed me that the company was mandated to stop working due to the pandemic. He assured me that I would receive a call about the cancellation, but once again, I never received a call.
I understand that we are all living in uncertain times and I don't expect BathFitters to give me a new date for the job at this point. However, a simple call back to let me know what was going on would have been appreciated. I am left wondering if they will call me to schedule a new date once the pandemic is over or if they will just show up one day in the future.
Overall, I am happy with the work that BathFitters did on my first bathroom and I am hopeful that they will be able to complete the second bathroom once it is safe to do so. However, I do think that they could improve their communication with customers during these uncertain times.
Bath Fitter Lifetime Warranty a Scam: Poor Quality and Terrible Customer Service
I bought my house six years ago and the previous owner had Bath Fitter come in and redo the tub. They said it had a lifetime warranty, but now I'm noticing cracks and the caulking is breaking down. I called the company and they said the warranty doesn't apply, but they would send someone to check it out as a courtesy. The rep came and recaulked the whole tub and took pictures of the cracks in the bottom to send to the company.
After a week, I filed a complaint with the BBB because I hadn't heard anything back. Finally, I got a call from Tabitha who acknowledged the cracks but said the warranty doesn't apply. She offered to redo the tub for a "warranty rate" of $1800 with a five-year warranty. But the work was shoddy to begin with, and obviously the product quality is poor if cracks are happening so soon.
The company's customer service is terrible. It's more expensive to keep putting a "band-aid" on the problem than to just replace the tub with a quality product. I'm not happy with the outcome and I wouldn't recommend Bath Fitter to anyone.
BathFitters Review: Disappointing Install, Poor Customer Service, and Hidden Costs
I gotta say, I'm not too thrilled with my experience with BathFitters. I mean, don't get me wrong, the pictures in the book looked great and the salesperson was all smiles and promises, but when it came down to it, the install just didn't live up to expectations.
First off, we ended up with an out of square frame that made it impossible to close the shower doors properly. And don't even get me started on the header trim - there's a noticeable gap that just looks sloppy. We asked them to fix it, but all we got was a bunch of excuses and lip service. It's like they didn't even care that we spent a ton of money on this.
And speaking of money, we were under the impression that all the plumbing was going to be new. But nope, turns out only the water control valve and shower head were replaced. The rest of the piping and plumbing is ancient - like, 75 years old ancient. Our salesperson promised us that everything would be replaced, but we had to shell out an extra 2 grand to get the drain replaced ourselves. And we even told them about the clog beforehand!
To top it all off, there was a wall built that just looked...off. The trim was all rough and pointy, and when we complained, we were told there was nothing they could do. Like, seriously? We're not even that picky, but some things are just not acceptable.
Honestly, I don't even know why I'm bothering to write this review since they won't fix anything anyway. But I just want to warn other people out there - don't believe everything you hear from BathFitters.
Bath Fitter Review: Abandoned Project, Poor Customer Service, and 6-Month Delay
So, we decided to go with Bath Fitter to spruce up our en suite shower. The installation was supposed to happen at the end of August 2021. They came out to take measurements for the custom glass on Sept. 1st and told us it would take about 2 weeks for the glass to be cut and shipped. But, due to 'supply chain issues' the custom glass was finally ready to be installed 4 months later on Jan 24th 2022.
The workman arrived on site and was here for all of 30 minutes before he told us that "they gave him the wrong kind of metal framework" and that he could not complete the install. He left a small pile of aluminum shavings on my porch, and my poor dog even got a sliver of it in his paw. We expected to hear from Sarah the scheduler shortly after that to reschedule, but we still have not received a call from them over 6 weeks later.
It's now been more than 6 months since the initial install, and we are still waiting for them to complete the job. When I call the main line, Customer Service can only send me to Sarah's VM, where you get a recording saying "the mailbox is full" and can not leave a message. When I call CS back to tell them that I was not able to leave a message for Sarah, they tell me that "they will message her directly via their internal system to have her contact us" which, of course, never happens.
I can understand that Sarah is probably swamped with work, but shouldn't they hire another person to help her out? At this point, this is an abandoned project, and we are currently looking for legal representation. Our experience with Bath Fitter has been a complete disaster, and we would not recommend them to anyone, not even our worst enemy. We give them a 0/10 rating.
BathFitters Review: 8 Weeks Without a Shower & Poor Customer Support
So, like, I gotta tell you guys about my experience with BathFitters. So, on July 10th, this sales lady came over to our place and gave us a quote for a shower stall refit. We signed a contract and she took measurements. She said that a tech would come over in 2-3 weeks to start the installation.
On August 3rd, the tech finally came and ripped out the old shower stall. But then he realized that they ordered the wrong size shower base. Can you believe it? So, he said that it would take three weeks to get the right size from Canada. So, we were left without a shower for all that time.
Finally, on September 2nd, the tech came back with the right base and installed it with the surround. But then he said that it would take two more weeks to get the glass in to finish the installation. So, we were still without a shower.
On September 23rd, they called us and said that the glass was in, but we couldn't get an appointment to have it installed until 10 days later. So, another month went by.
Finally, on October 2nd, the tech came back and finished the installation of the glass. So, we were without use of this shower for a total of 8 weeks. That's like, two whole months!
I contacted the dealership and asked for a discount of 15% of the total price as compensation for our inconvenience and loss of use. But the owner/manager was like, "No way, Jose!" He only offered us a discount of 7% of the total price. I was so insulted!
I tried to contact the corporate headquarters four times, but no one would respond to my emails or talk to me on the phone. No one would even return my messages.
The product we got is okay, and the tech did a great job of installation. But I would recommend that you use a different dealership than the one in Clearwater, FL if you want a timely job done. And I was really disappointed with the customer support from this company.
So, yeah, that's my experience with BathFitters.
BathFitters Review: Poor Service, Hidden Fees, and Damage to My Bathroom
So, I had a guy come over to my house to give me an estimate on a new tub. The price was a bit steep, but I figured it was worth it for the convenience. A few days later, the sales guy showed up uninvited while I was watching my 1-year-old child. I was in a bit of a rush, so I signed the document he gave me without really reading it. Big mistake.
The next day, I took a closer look at the change order and realized that they were planning to break one of my ceramic shelves and replace it with a smaller plastic one. They even said that they weren't responsible for any damage to the existing tile and that there might be unfinished edges. Not exactly what you want to hear when you have babies and toddlers using the tub.
I called the sales rep to cancel the job, but it took months for me to get my deposit back. When I finally talked to the owner, he told me that I was out of luck and that they were keeping my $425 deposit. I didn't even know I had put down a deposit, and the contract didn't specify the amount. I had paid for the entire job upfront, so it was really frustrating to have them try to take even more money from me.
To make matters worse, the contract said that the deposit only applied to custom items, but the sales guy had told me that the tub was a stock item. The owner refused to honor the 3-day cancellation policy because it had been more than 3 days since I had originally purchased the service, even though I had only just found out about the damage they were planning to do.
Overall, I was really disappointed with BathFitters. It's not worth paying $1700 to have someone come in and damage your bathroom, and the owner's refusal to acknowledge my concerns was really frustrating. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Disappointing Experience with BathFitters in Wilmington, NC: Poor Customer Service and Delayed Completion Time
So, I recently had my shower redone by BathFitters in Wilmington, NC. I was pretty happy with the end result, but when I received a survey from them, I gave them some honest feedback. Unfortunately, the branch manager, Shawn Brock, didn't seem to like my answers. He replied to my survey and said that I had told him I loved the shower, which wasn't entirely true. When he came to my residence for the inspection, I did mention that I liked the shower, but I also told him that I wasn't happy about the fact that it took 10 weeks to complete instead of the 4 to 5 months that I was originally told by Danielle, the office person.
To be fair, I only kept calling them to check on the progress because I didn't want to wait for 4 to 5 months. If I hadn't called, it probably would have taken that long. But when I received Shawn's email about my survey, I called the office to talk to him about it. Unfortunately, he wasn't very nice on the phone and even hung up on me while I was talking. It's a shame because he was nice until they got paid, but now that I didn't give them a 5-star rating, he's being sarcastic and rude.
I'm not sure why they charge so much money and then treat their customers poorly. It's not like they're doing us a favor by selling us their product. And now that I've reported Shawn to the corporate office, I'll make sure that everyone I know never does business with BathFitters from Wilmington, NC. I'm glad I took pictures of before and after, though. The shower looks okay, but it's not exactly what Richard, the salesman, promised me or what I saw in the magazine.
I filled out the survey honestly, and Shawn didn't like it. But as a customer, I have the right to say what I experienced and how I feel. If they don't want true answers, they shouldn't send out surveys to customers. And hanging up on a customer who might need their help in the future is not cool. If I have any problems with my shower in the future, I don't want Shawn Brock to come back to my home ever again. Hopefully, the corporate office will send someone more professional and not email customers with an attitude if they give them less than 5 stars.
Overall, I don't think BathFitters is worth the money, and I certainly don't appreciate the sarcasm and rudeness from Shawn Brock. People should be aware of this before doing business with them. And to top it off, they're using COVID as an excuse to delay their work for 10 weeks or more. But in reality, they probably just don't have enough people to do the job, which is why it takes two days instead of one.
Nightmare Experience with BathFitters: False Promises, Water Damage, and No Compensation
I gotta say, I tried out BathFitters for two showers and it was a real rollercoaster ride. First off, I made the order online and got a call from John Richardson to set up a meeting at my house. He insisted that my husband be there, which was a bit of a slap in the face to me as if I couldn't make decisions for my own home. But anyway, John came over and gave us his whole spiel, taking pictures with his tablet and telling us there was no water damage behind the walls. I was skeptical because I knew there had been some issues with frozen pipes and leaks, but he insisted everything was fine.
Fast forward to the installation day and things started to go downhill. John had told us that both bathrooms would be done in one day, but that was a total lie. The installers came and found water damage in the second bathroom, which John had said was fine. One of the workers even told me that he was instructed to just install the bathroom and not worry about the mold starting. I mean, seriously? That's not okay.
The first bathroom was eventually completed, but with three separate parts instead of just two like John had promised. And then, when I finally got to use the bathroom, there was no hot water. BathFitters tried to blame it on me, but it turned out that they had crossed the lines and my HVAC folks had to come out to fix it.
When they finally came back to finish the second bathroom, they still couldn't get it right. They didn't have the proper plumbing license and ended up causing even more issues with my water pressure. I had to hire a plumber to fix it, which cost me even more money and time.
And to top it all off, BathFitters wouldn't even compensate me for all the trouble. They promised me $1,000 per bathroom if I had the second one done, but I'm still waiting on the $1,000 for the first one. It's just ridiculous.
Overall, I would not recommend BathFitters to anyone. The whole experience was a nightmare and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

BathFitters Cancelled My Appointment for No Reason - Unprofessional Service!
I had a really bad experience with BathFitters. I made an appointment with them last week and they called me yesterday to confirm the appointment. I had to rearrange my schedule to make sure I was available for the appointment this morning. But guess what? They cancelled on me this morning, claiming that I live in a high-rise building. What a load of nonsense! I live in a 3-storey building, not a high-rise. I have a feeling that they cancelled on me for some other reason, but it just shows how unprofessional they are. Maybe I should take my business elsewhere. These guys are total schmucks!
Disappointing Experience with BathFitters: High Price, Poor Quality, and Two Months of Problems
We recently had a tub to shower conversion done by BathFitters and while it was nice that it only took a day, we were disappointed with the high price we had to pay. Additionally, we also had the Wayne's coat put on the wall and were not satisfied with the job done. There was a lot of caulk used and it was not a very good job overall. Even after they came back to fix it, the photos we took show that it still wasn't up to par. It took a total of two months of problems until it was finally fixed, and even then it was just about as bad as it was originally. We would not recommend BathFitters based on our experience.
One of the biggest issues we had with the job done by BathFitters was that the caulk and Wayne's coat seemed to attract everything like a magnet. It was frustrating to constantly have to clean it off. Additionally, the shower stall had a curve to it which allowed the water to drain properly, but it also made it feel like we were standing on an inward slope from both sides. This was not a comfortable feeling and made us feel uneasy while showering.
Overall, we were disappointed with the job done by BathFitters. While it was nice that the conversion only took a day, the high price we had to pay and the poor quality of the Wayne's coat and caulk made it not worth it. We would not recommend BathFitters to others based on our experience.
Disappointing Experience with BathFitters: Crooked Wall, Poor Grab Bar Installation, and Damaged Flooring
I recently had BathFitters install a new shower in my bathroom, but unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the final result. The installer cut the wall surround crooked, leaving a noticeable 1/2 inch gap where the wall meets the tub. To try and fix this, he used a large amount of caulk, which ended up beading and not sticking properly. Instead of using the proper tools to smooth it out, he used his finger, which made the situation worse.
Another issue I had was with the grab bars. BathFitters is supposed to put backing behind them, but the installer did not do this, leaving them just in the green sheetrock. This is not safe and could cause serious injury if someone were to use them and they were not properly secured.
To make matters worse, the installer cut up my linoleum when he was removing the old shower base and did not repair it. This left me with an unsightly and potentially dangerous floor.
Overall, I was very disappointed with the quality of work that BathFitters provided. I have experience in construction and know that with a new faucet and shower head, there is less than $2,000 in materials. I would not recommend paying more than $3,000 for this lousy new shower.

Beware of BathFitters: Lifetime Warranty Only Applies to Original Owners
I gotta say, I'm not too happy with BathFitters. I mean, if you're thinking about buying a house that already has one of their fancy updates installed, you better watch out. 'Cause if anything goes wrong, you're on your own. That "lifetime" warranty they talk about? It only applies to the person who bought it directly from them. So if you're not the original owner, you're outta luck.
And let me tell you, things can go wrong. Like, say you notice some rust on the shower curtain support rod. Well, guess what? You can only get a replacement from BathFitters, and it's gonna cost you twice as much as if you could find it somewhere else. And if your tub liner starts peeling or not sticking anymore? Tough luck, buddy. You're gonna have to shell out some serious cash to get that fixed.
Honestly, I'm pretty disappointed in BathFitters. I thought they were supposed to be a top-notch company, but it seems like they don't really care about their customers once they've made a sale. So yeah, I definitely won't be using them again.
Design Flaw with BathFitters Shower Doors: A Review
I recently contacted BathFitters to replace my old bathtub with a new walk-in shower. The installation process went smoothly and the end result looks great. However, I did notice a design flaw with the shower doors.
When I called the installer to address the issue, he informed me that the doors were designed to be that way. He even suggested that I tie a string to the loop on the door to ensure that I use the correct one. I was taken aback by this suggestion and couldn't believe that this was the solution to the problem.
The handles on the doors with the seal are unusable due to the way they are designed. This is a major inconvenience and I am not satisfied with the solution provided by the installer. I believe that whoever designed this should be held accountable for their mistake and should be fired.
I have attached a photo of the outside door that seals. As you can see, the handle is not accessible from inside the shower. This means that when you are inside the shower, you have to push the door closed with no handle. This is not only inconvenient but also potentially dangerous.
Overall, I am happy with the quality of the materials used and the installation process. However, the design flaw with the shower doors is a major issue that needs to be addressed. I hope that BathFitters takes this feedback seriously and works to improve their product in the future.
Horrible Experience with BathFitters: Unprofessional and Disgusting
Public
Published review 6/7/22
So, I had a guy come over to my house from BathFitters to give me a quote on a new bathroom. And let me tell you, it was not a pleasant experience. This dude started talking about his grandparents being nudists and how he wasn't sure what was between his legs when he was young. Like, what the heck? I was so uncomfortable and horrified. And then he went on to say that they put a little life jacket on him. I mean, seriously? Who talks about that kind of stuff with a complete stranger?
Anyway, I was so disgusted with this guy and the company as a whole. I tried calling them several times to get my money back, but they refused. I mean, not only did I get sexually harassed, but I never even got my new bathroom or my measly $1000 back. It's just ridiculous.
So, needless to say, I would never recommend BathFitters to anyone. They are a horrible company with terrible customer service. Thanks for literally absolutely nothing.
Beware of BathFitters: Lifetime Guarantee is a Scam!
So, I had some issues with my BathFitters tub surround and decided to share my experience. It seems like I'm not the only one who has had problems with the caulking flaking off. I had a service technician come out to do a simple recaulk, but instead, he had a bit of a meltdown and insisted that I needed a tub insert. This wasn't the first time I had been pressured into buying something I didn't need from BathFitters. When I had the tub surround installed by the London On branch, they also tried to sell me a tub insert.
I decided to go with a much cheaper option of reglazing my tub, which cost me about 5 times less than the BathFitters tub insert. However, when I contacted BathFitters about the flaking caulking, they claimed that they couldn't remove it without damaging my tub. I mean, seriously, can't they take a course or something? It seems like they're just trying to gouge people for money they don't have.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend BathFitters to anyone. Their lifetime guarantee seems like a bunch of B.S. to me. If you're looking for a reliable and affordable option for your bathroom, I suggest looking elsewhere.
Beware of BathFitters: Lifetime Warranty is a Scam!
I gotta tell ya, folks, I had a real bad experience with BathFitters. I mean, I thought I was doing the right thing by shelling out some extra cash for their "lifetime" warranty. But let me tell you, less than 10 years later, we couldn't even get them to come and caulk for us - and that was supposed to be included in our package! When we finally got in touch with someone, they told us our warranty was voided. Can you believe that? And the owner wouldn't even return our call! The only person who would talk to us was the poor office gal.
So we decided to complain to corporate BathFitters, thinking they might be able to help us out. But nope, they told us that every contractor was independently owned and there was nothing they could do. I mean, what kind of company is that? They don't even stand behind their own product!
So let me give you some advice, folks. Save yourself some money and frustration and go to your local contractor or go to the big box store and have your small local guy install. You can then go to said big box store for supplies for a fix - just like we ended up doing after a "lifetime" warranty was not honored. Trust me, you'll be money ahead. And please, please, please stay away from BathFitters!
Disappointing Experience with Bath Fitter: Uneven Lines, Mismatched Silicone, and No Door in 5 Months
So, I had these tiles in my shower and I wanted to get rid of them. I heard about Bath Fitter and thought they could help me out. They said they could replace the tiles with their vinyl product and it would look great. They promised that the work would come in one piece and I wouldn't be able to see any seams or grout/silicone lines. I was excited to see the finished product.
But let me tell you, the finished product was not what I expected. It was actually pretty horrible. The silicone color they used didn't match the wall pieces, so it stood out like a sore thumb. The lines were not uniform or consistent, some lines were thicker and some were thinner. The seat in the shower wasn't level, so water accumulated on the seat and dirt and stains stuck to it. The pattern on the wall pieces where the cuts were made didn't match. And to top it off, they finished the shower without a door. They were supposed to order a door for it, but it's been over five months and they haven't contacted me about the issues I'm unhappy with or let me know when they will install the door.
There are other issues too technical for me to explain, but needless to say, I wouldn't recommend Bath Fitter to anyone. It's just not worth the hassle and the money. I wish I had gone with a different company.
BathFitters Review: Misleading Advertising, Rude Customer Service, and Installation Nightmares
I gotta say, I was pretty happy with BathFitters at first. Everyone was super nice and helpful, and they made it seem like they really cared about making me happy. But then I paid for the shower stall, and things started to go downhill real fast.
First of all, the floors are super slippery. My husband almost fell twice the first time he used the new shower, and that's just not cool. They told us it was a no-slip floor when we signed the contract, but that was a total lie.
And then, when I called to schedule the installation of the shower door, the customer service person was just plain rude to me. Like, seriously? I just spent a bunch of money with you guys, and now you're gonna treat me like garbage? Not cool.
And don't even get me started on the installer. He spent over 14 hours installing the shower, when they had told us it would take less than 8 hours. And then, to top it all off, the shower door was the wrong size! So we had to reschedule the installation for another day. What a pain in the butt.
Now, I will say that the shower does look pretty nice. But honestly, I wouldn't recommend BathFitters to anyone. They're all about making the sale, and once they've got your money, they don't really care about anything else. They make mistakes in their measurements, they're rude and condescending when you try to talk to them about it, and their estimates for time frames are way off. Plus, their advertising is super misleading. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely find another way to install a new shower.
