Looks like scam
When I found www.beezid.com I thought that it looked very interesting and decided to try. So I made several bids trying to win a laptop. I was doing it just for fun and never thought I'll win something. But I actually did! I won a dell laptop and was very happy. Immediately called my friends and told them how cool Beezid was.
Weeks passed and I heard nothing from Beezid, when I contacted them they said that my laptop was already sent to me and will be here any time soon. Waited and waited and nothing. This site seems like a scam to me, two months already passed and still no laptop and I really doubt that I'll ever get it.
Lost item
I was really interested in Beezid and decided to give it a try. I wasn't lucky enough but one day I finally won something. I was really excited and could not wait to receive my item. They said that shipping usually takes 2-3 weeks and I was ok with that. Paid for shipping and waited patiently. 3 weeks passed and nothing arrived so I contacted Beezid support regarding my order status and I was shocked when they said that my item was already delivered! When? Where?
I told them that I received nothing and they said that I need to check again. What? Then they said that maybe I gave them an incorrect address, or maybe my package was lost during the shipment. They said that there was nothing they could do.
unethical behavior
I became a Beezid member last year. I bought a small bid package. In practice, I won a vacuum I did not want to I used their "flip" option put it back for sale on their site. It sold. After all was said and done I had $9.04 cash in my wallet and 99 win bids. Neither of which I can claim unless I buy more bids. The rule is evidently that once you win something, any leftover bids get classified as win bids. You must call them in order to convert them to usable bids but they won't do that without an additional purchase. And the money in my Beezid wallet from the sale of the vacuum cannot be returned to me if it's less that $10. This is bold faced extortion in my opinion.
Is Beezid Legit?
Beezid earns a trustworthiness rating of 52%
Think twice and be always careful when sharing sensitive information.
We found clear and detailed contact information for Beezid. The company provides a physical address, 2 phone numbers, and 2 emails, as well as 4 social media accounts. This demonstrates a commitment to customer service and transparency, which is a positive sign for building trust with customers.
The age of Beezid's domain suggests that they have had sufficient time to establish a reputation as a reliable source of information and services. This can provide reassurance to potential customers seeking quality products or services.
However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- Website's registrar is popular among scammers, it means that a significant number of scammers have used that registrar to register domain names for their fraudulent websites. This can indicate that the registrar has lax verification processes, making it easier for scammers to register domains without providing accurate information.
- There was some difficulty in evaluating or examining the information or data present on the beezid.com. This could be due to technical issues, limited access, or website may be temporarily down for maintenance or experiencing technical difficulties.
- Beezid protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
- We conducted a search on social media and found several negative reviews related to Beezid. These reviews may indicate issues with the company's products, services, or customer support. It is important to thoroughly research the company and its offerings before making any purchases to avoid any potential risks.
Unauthorized billing
When signing up for membership to Beezid, you are required to provide credit card information. The very first moment I signed up, my credit card was charged $78.40 for future bids. I did not authorize nor request this. I immediately notified them of their error, their only response was to advise me their offices were closed. I have made repeated attempts to contact them during their business hours, but all requests have been ignored.
Unauthorized credit card charge
I like so many others went to Beezid.com out of curiosity, but when I seen how much the bid packs cost I hit the back button to get out of the screen. Then I noticed it said I had bids available so I check my credit card balance and low and behold they had charged me $70. Needless to say I was livid, especially since I had not authorized a charge and damn sure hadn't hit a confirm button (nor did I even see one on the page) to authorize/confirm any order.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Totally unprofessional and I would advise everyone out there to stay clear of this company and website
I received a call from Beezid.com Tips & Strategy representative on 12/21/2012. Her name was Courtney. She tried to sell me bids. I already felt I had wasted $60 when signing into the website that I could not get back. I was not interested. Courtney proceeded to tell me that I could win an Apple ipad and a $500 gift card. I said "Can you guarantee that?" She said "Yes, I can guarantee that if you follow my steps, you are guaranteed an ipad and a $500 gift card." STUPID me said okay, only if you can guarantee it. Therefore, I purchased the bids at $500. Needless to say, I was obsessed with following Courtney's steps exactly! I bid on one auction for 8 hours Christmas day and lost 2323 bids @ 60 cents each! She never informed me that we could us a BUY IT NOW and get all our bids back. She also never informed me that the promo bids expire in 7 days from purchase. Therefore, I had to sit at the computer to use the bids I purchase during Christmas holiday while a zillion other people would be bidding on items too. They only reason I purchased the bids is because she guarantee them, but when I called and talked with her on the phone her response was that I should have watched the auctions closer. Therefore although it was guaranteed, they would not fund back any of those bids. What's worse is I was on vacation in Cancun and had to use the bids or they would expire. This company uses guarantees to get a purchase, but then will not stand behind them. Totally unprofessional and I would advise everyone out there to stay clear of this company and website!
I do not understand why these kinds of websites thrive on the Internet
I do not understand why these kinds of websites thrive on the Internet. Is it because humans are really greedy in nature? But why exploit that greed? In my opinion these kinds of business platform will always be a fraudulent one. How can we know if there's actually a bot that will always win in majority of the biddings? We will never know. Until these kinds of sites can solve this problem, it will stay fraudulent.
It is great... for the owners, it is a rip-off for the users
It is great... for the owners. It is a rip-off for the users. Allow me to explain: You purchase bid "tokens" that enable you to place bids on items. :Each bid raises the cost of the item by a penny. You may indeed be able to purchase an item for pennies on the dollar... IF your timing is right and all other bidders have exhausted their bid tokens or given up. How does this website make money selling items for pennies on the dollar? Simple... you don't purchase the tokens for $.01 each... they cost a lot more than that, even if you purchase in bulk. So if they get, say, 1, 000 bids ($10.00) on an item that has an; MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) of $100 and that 1, 000th bid wins the item, then it looks like a great deal for the winner, Hey! A $100 item for $10.00 ! But understand that this means there were at leat 1, 000 tokens purchased by consumers for the "priviledge" of bidding on this item. At the current MINIMUM price of $.60 per bid token (if bought in bulk, at the time of this review) that means that the website owners made a nice, tidy profit. 1, 000 bids x $.60 per bid token = $600.00. Yes, SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS minimum for an item with an MSRP of $100.00... which they probably were able to purchase in bulk for $50.00. Since the bidder has to pay the bid price for the item, let's do the math: Cost = $50 plus the fractional cost of doing business (payroll, bandwidth, servers, etc.). For the sake of argument, let's say their fractional cost is $1 per auction, though it is probably far less. So their cost is $51. The item sold for $10.00 so they will get direct payment from the buyer, thus the item then cost them $41.00 (the buyer pays shipping). The profit? Well, they sold a MINIMUM of $600 in tokens, so... $600.00 - $41.00 means they made a profit of $559.00. Not too bad for a few minutes of work. So the owners of the website are the winners. Does that make everyone else a loser? Well, only one person won the item, and maybe they only spent one token ($.60) to win it. But that means that in our example that 999 tokens were spent NOT getting anything. You only come out ahead if the total amount of tokens you purchase is less than you would have spent on the item in a store. You decide.
Don't you have more important things to think about? If you don't like the site, don't bother with it. Simple, no?
The site was legitimate for a while but is not anymore
The site was legitimate for a while but is not anymore. They have a huge tax and penalties burden owing to the Canada Revenue Agency and Revenu Quebec, and they're doing everything they can to raise $$$ to pay that off before they're assets are seized and they're forced into bankruptcy. By "everything they can" - shill bidding to raise prices/more bids needed to win, plenty of "technical glitches" where suddenly the auction is over and the "winner" is nothing more than a beezid employee account, and rather than refunding all bidders in that auction, each bidder has to contact them individually to have their "concern" investigated, often getting nothing in return or just an offer that Beezid will give you a double-up if you purchase ANOTHER large bidpack (smoke-and-mirrors to distract from the real issue that the site glitched and you lost bids - don't get caught up in the feeling that you're getting a great deal by buying MORE bids!), or if you're persistent enough and have a screen or video shot of the glitch, they'll maybe just refund your bids used in that auction.
I can vouch for them having been legit at one point - look me up on allpennyauctions.com - username Teletubbiechef - I had won a ton of stuff there. But then they got caught by the gov't for not collecting and paying taxes from all their Canadian users, and now owe well into the hundreds of $1000's in taxes and penalties, and that's when they began employing underhanded techniques to get as many bids as they can to be used in each auction to drive up the prices (profits) etc. and censor any critics who have noticed and commented on these things (their Facebook page is now a joke with fake "users" posting rainbows-and-unicorns BS about how great it is and the great deals) - desperate times apparently called for desperate measures, and this website is deep into the desperate measures now.
Avoid Beezid till some rules on number of wins changes
The way it is now configured--with too many wins possible for deep pocket and obsessed with winning gamblers--stay away! They have many 'cherry auctions' to entice first time winners-only to be wiped out by the big bidders after. The site is happy to make money this way with the pawn shop and rich bidders doing in the constant flo' of new naive players. If you must penny auction--avoid Beezid till some rules on number of wins changes---other sites are more even a gamble...
I definitely feel there are bot bidders
While I agree with your overall assessment of Beezid, you have your basic facts incorrect. The bid packages must be purchased to participate. But the highest amount you pay per bid is .60 not 1.00. The higher the bid package you purchase, the less per bid you pay. But still you are PAYING .60 plus bidding .01 each time you hit the bid button. The "timer" resetting is another error in your summary. If the auction begins with a 16 second "reset" timer - then as long as people are continuing to hit on that auction it resets at 16 seconds each time someone bids. However, as the bidding prolongs - people run out of bids, get tired, give up and drop out. As the number of people bidding reduces the bid timer reset point reduces too. I was on a bid that the timer reset was 16 seconds and when another bid was placed it reset to 6 seconds. If someone else joined, it would reset at 7-8 seconds, if they dropped out back to 6 seconds. Now, where people are making their biggest mistake is understanding if they have the MONEY to gamble with in the first place. They should understand that there are people out in this world that are loaded with money (and have seemingly unlimited numbers of bids to play with) and simply play this game for the excitement and "win" not because they feel that without winning the item - they would not be able to purchase it. So if you spend your hard-earned or saved 120.00 on a 200.00 bid pack - just realize that you are likely going to be bidding on the big dollar items against people that might have a Bid Bank worth as much as 50, 000 bids. There is NO LIMIT on how many Bid Packages a person can purchase - they only limit how many bid packages a person can "win" at a much reduced prices and even then for only a limited amount of time. So...for example. One of Beezid's "Bid for" packages is a enticing 2000 Bid ("Blow your competition away"). You take your measly 200 bids and you decide you are going to rack up on these bids so you will be prepared to win the big items. So you are bidding away and most likely you are bidding against someone that is using Autobeezid - not even at their computer but they have put 5000 bids in their Autobeezid function - so every single one of your 200 bids are going to get trumped by not only THAT wealthy in bids player but every other person that is participating in the auction as well. UNLESS you happen to bid on an item at a time when none of the BIG DAWGS are able to participate. That is the ONLY time a regular player has a snowball's chance to win a big ticket item. So...bottom line is realize what you are doing is gambling. You are not guaranteed to win - EVER. You WILL have to pay not only .60 per bid but also whatever the top bid amount was should you actually win. A Tip for you. NEVER bid on an auction on Beezid until the timer is resetting every single time in the red with less than 10 seconds remaining. Tip two. Never use Autobeezid unless you have a TON of bids available. Tip Three. Never bid at all if there is an AutoBeezid war going on between other players. You're just tossing out your bids. Number 4. Realize that your chances of winning a Big Ticket item are likely as good as your chances of getting struck by lightening on a sunny day. Take this advice from someone who has thrown away about 700.00 and won in exchange a 25.00 gift card to Home Depot.
Another word of warning. Their reps will try to sucker you back into buying another bid package by calling and telling you what you are doing wrong and why you are not winning. They will offer tips and then entice you into getting another package by matching in "bonus" bids whatever package you pay for. If you still don't win and you call them and tell them what you were doing (when you were walked through it with another rep) they will tell you that each rep has a different strategy that works. So, does that mean it works for THEM? Does this mean that Beezid employees can bid in these auctions? And yes, I definitely feel there are BOT bidders. Save your money. Don't bother.
I signed up for Beezid this morning, wanting to get in on some of the cheap stuff action. I admit, it sounded intriguing. I was unavailable for most of the day (as most people are), so I received a call from their "strategists". They said they could help me plan a strategy for how to win, as well as "give me a CRAZY amount of free bids" (I still have the email). Their quick talking sales girl told me that I was to go in and purchase a 1000 bids with her promo code, and I would get even more on top of that with her help. I put in my CC information after being assured that I was "purchasing these bids with the help of her manager promo code". After seeing the message that my card was charged for $550!, I asked again, "Did this get charged to my card?" She said yes it did, as she threw 75, 000 free promo bids my way (by the way... promo bids expire in 7 days. After 25 minutes of back and forth, they finally gave in and put through a reimbursement to my CC. However they wouldn't remove the purchased bids from my account, so if I did use even just one of them, then my refund would be denied! ---- There's that story... Now, about the bots... I specifically wanted one item from Beezid, the combo Dewalt drill set. I stood patiently by my computer for four hours watching 2 bidders auto-bid back and forth. In particular, the username "quiltfarry" had the auto-bid set up to automatically take the top bid when someone would challenge. That is all fine, but once that auto bid was turned on, it stayed on for the entire bidding. The final winning bid was $42.00. 45% (realistically) of the entire bidding was from these auto bids made by "quiltfarry". In doing the math, with the average bid price for this item at $0.54, this user/bot spend very close to $1020.00 on bids alone to purchase an item listed as $479.99. No real customers of that site, having the wealth and competence to even buy $1020.00 worth of bids would invest more than double the retail value in order to win it. Other customers of their site (3 in particular) spent a combined ~$1250.00 in trying to bleed out this robot, and they lost hundreds of dollars. I will be sharing this with the Better Business Bureau and other agencies. I encourage you to do the same, so they stop this thieving practice.
Is it really bots at work or is the site is just getting really popular? I noticed they have dramatically increased their number of live auctions, I think that was in response to overwhelming activity.
I think you are right that people must avoid bidding wars and also pre-emptive bidding at the onset of a long auction. I’ve been on the site and I can honestly say I don’t get the point of bidding when there’s 6 hours to go. My boyfriend swears by Beezid and it’s sort of funny that I found this page because we were discussing this exact thing last week. I asked him about penny auctions and the fact that you have to buy bid packs…He told me Beezid has been around for years and are one of the few with credentials and a track record. I went on the site with him and found that Beezid lists the bids spent at each auction and calculates the total price paid *including bids. That’s a bonus.
My bf gave boxes of jewellery last week that he bought off the site and showed me the authenticity certificate. When I asked how much he paid, he told me and it just a few dollars (I wasn’t offended). He told me he bids at off hours, like really late… he’s self employed so he can afford to hit the auctions in the wee hours. Did you call their customer service and ask them straight out? If so what did they say? It’s surprising that Beezid was a disappointment for you when I know firsthand it can be so amazing for some others.
You should definitely call them. I just saw that I have friends on FB who shop at Beezid, I’m going to ask them what they think. Good luck.
Some of that you're saying here is true but you just throw the "robot bid" thing in at the end there which is incredibly weird. I've used beezid for over a year and have won more than I've lost. I have over 40 auction wins on the site. I've never had any reason to believe they would jeopardize what is clearly a very successful business by using these mythical "bid bots". Maybe you could expect that from a smaller startup site but beezid is one of the top penny auction sites on Earth. I certainly agree that you shouldn't spend moey that you can't afford to lose when using the site and also don't bid carelessly. You're also right that people with huge amounts of bids should be avoided.
It is a total scam and I wish someone would do something about it
This site is a complete fraud. Basically the inside story of how beezid works is this. You see a timer that counts down and if no bids occur at the end of that timer well then the last bidder wins right. Wrong! Beezid has a program that creates "FAKE BIDS" everytime the counter gets down to 1 or less. There are more fake "automated bid" being done by beezid then there are real customers. But once enough real customers bid to pay for the item plus a profit then they will end the auction and here is the sad part. 90% of the time the automated bidder wins the item so you the true bidder are basically cheated out your money. If you youtube or google you will find NOTHING that talks about how someone won an item from beezid. It is a total scam and I wish someone would do something about it.
LOL. If they had a program that did that they would have been shut down long ago. I have won and had my items delivered. Just because you don't understand it, doesn't mean it doesn't work. Thanks for the laugh! :)
100% pure scam, stay away
WOW... What is amazing to me is the amount of stupid people out there these days. These sights pray on dumb people like the plague. If you have even an ounce of brain cells left in your head you could see this sight is a scam. I found the web-sight and spent 10 minutes looking around, then Googled beezid.com complaints. I then saw my immediate uncomfortable feeling about the place was for reason. It is an obvious gambling scam scheme and I just cant believe how anyone with even half a brain could not see through this... COME ON PEOPLE! REALLY! ... Use the brain in your head so places like this don't have a chance to even be invented. I use to think there was no way people fall for all the e-mail fraud out there. I finally came to realization that there are really stupid people out there that don't do research about places before they click the scam button...lol... Otherwise e-mail scams would not still be going strong. all you need to do is live by the fact that you must earn what you want and nothing in life is free. Then you wont get ripped off. I don't feel sorry for these people that get taken. If your really that stupid you deserve what you get. I just hate the fact that the scam sights like this one has made tons of money. I even read that some of these people do it 5 or 10 times before realizing " Hey I Got Scammed" lol Really!
It really seems like a scam to me
Probably a common story. I spent $70 buying 100 bids, then set autobeezid to bid on a $300 item when it was down to the last 12 seconds. Well, of course that can go on for awhile and after about 1.5 minutes my bids were all used up. Then about 30 seconds later someone won the thing for $2.30. Considering how fast my bids were used up, and the quick win by someone, or something else, afterward, it really seems like a scam to me. Did that winner even really exist or was it a bot? Anyway, I decided after that to cut my loss and close the account.
Please don't make the same mistake as I
I was curious about Beezid.com and spent most of the day attempting to understand what, at first, seemed to be an interesting possibility of bidding on useful electronics and gift cards for a very reasonable amount.
I even admit to purchasing 50 bid points for $40 to see if, I too, could be a lucky one, to bid on something I might want. One auction that appeared to have only 15 seconds left on it would be hit by another bidder and watched as these 20 second auction went on for hours. Soon my bid points twindled to 18 and I knew that I had been had.
I watched one auction end for an internal auction of 200 Beezid auction points retailing for $120. This poor bidder b5036687 kept bidding, then he/she would get slammed at the last second and then he/she would bid again. This kept on and on. the same 20 second auction must have gone on for, at least, an hour. Finally the end came and b5036687 won what he/she had been wildly bidding on.
I then checked how much this all cost b5036687 in bid points and it was 248 at a total cost of $173.60. Remind you he/she was bidding on the bargain of 200 bid points for $120. The bottom line was the bidder lost Big Time.
Yes, he/she should have been more aware of the fact that every time you hit the bid button it cost you a point. There were repeat bidders, bidding against this bidder and yes, there was a point where I begain to think this might be an internal scam, because those other bidders were spending way to many points for what the bid was worth. i just began to do the math and something was very wrong.
I warn all of you that might be intersted in Beezid.com to just sit and watch the bid names when the bids get hor and heavy for an important item, you will see the scam unfold before oyur eyes. I should have taken my own advice, but foolishly bought my 50 bid point for $40 without throughly spending more time doing my homework. Please don't make the same mistake as I. Beezid is a SCAM. But, I must say, they are clever, no doubt, distant relatives of Scary Madoff.
I have spent countless about of money. And have not got all that I have won. Have sent emails asking about it and have not heard anything . I agree something needs to be done about them/
is anyone leading the charge to sue Beezid?
They always had shaddy deals going, but I had fun, much like gambling on a slot machine.
But they shut down, they owe me 7 prize wins and I had cash in Wallet and paid for a crap load of points I can't redeem or get credit for.
So if anyone knows a course of action to get "something back" please let us know.
I can't just go up to Canada and demand a return.
Fortunately I took pics of all my assets left on thier site before they shut it down.
I need a lawyer than can win on this
Does anyone know if this site will come back...I too have credits in my account
I responded by email to a dishonest Craiglist ad for a phone and was told the item was sold but the best way to get a good deal on this phone was on Beezid. I took the bait, went to the site and "gave them" about $65. I then recognized it for the futile scam it is and never placed a bid. I went back to the Craigslist site and discovered there were other dishonest Beezid-Bait ads. You can guess what happened when I tried to get a refund. I was told I can either buy some of the undesirable cheaply made and overpriced merchandise they sell in their "store" or throw my money away at a pie in the sky attempt to get something for nothing. . I used my debit card for the purchase of the bids and the time and effort necessary to challenge the theft of my money was more than I could spare from my work at the time. This should be illegal but apparently it's ok to bilk the public with this type of scam. I will take the hit on the $65. I can afford it; but doubt the crooked Beezid folks can afford the difficulties and pain they will suffer from the "goes around-comes around" retribution that always follows such larceny! I would not want to be in their shoes (or orange jail suits). Please tell your friends to watch for the Craiglist baiting and stay away from Beezid!
I have not had a good experience with this site
After a lot of time and many bids the time and amount for item changed radically. Not once but three times. Big scam do not get caught up in this. P. S. No amount of stratagy was involved change was instant and not in the least bit logical.
You will probably think I'm one of their employees since you all seem so paranoid, but I will give me 2 cents anyway. I've won exactly 700 auctions to date in the roughly 2 and a half years I've been bidding and I can tell you I've received every single item I've ever won. While yes I agree there is room for improvement and I've had some issues with shipping times in the past, I must say that they have vastly improved on that. Just because you jumped into an auction with no idea of what you were doing thinking you were going to win an Ipad for 3 cents you have on yourselves to blame. If you have a good and respectful strategy you can win and save a lot. Believe me or not, it's up to you. Just read their blog and you will see for yourselves. I've seen insane deals on there won by real people, I myself have won many high end items at a fraction of the retail cost. Do some research and watch the auctions and you can figure things out if you've got an IQ beyond topsoil. Not trying to insult anyone, just trying to say that it doesn't take a genius to figure out a good strategy.
It also happen to us. My husband bought $550 worth of bids and promised to get an iPhone but it did not happen. It is a scam!
Beezid advertise that they guarantee first-time users, or first time bidders would win a prize on first bidding package and that is not true, I Fell for the scare myself, I saw the advertisement and I bought a $70 Bid package and started bidding on a couple of items, an iPad and a leather riding bag and before you know it all my bids were gone, 300 bids after maybe 20 bids, if that many but I know not more then 20 bids and the main item I was bidding on only had 20 minutes left on the bidding process but the timer was reset to five hours . My $ 70.00 dollars / 300 bids was gone so fast, I begin to feel that each time I bid 20 points was being taken away as I did the math it began to add up. Well there is an old saying " fool me once shame on you eat... but they will not get a second chance, I removed the web site from my computer, $.70.00 is a small price to pay for Wisdom.
The site was legitimate for a while but is not anymore. They have a huge tax and penalties burden owing to the Canada Revenue Agency and Revenu Quebec, and they're doing everything they can to raise $$$ to pay that off before they're assets are seized and they're forced into bankruptcy. I agree with all of the above. They said if I sign up they would give me 10 free bids. So I signed up and yes got my 10 free bids. Only problem was you cannot bid on everything they are showing you. Only certain CRAP items you can bid on until you purchase more bids. I did not. Free should be free as they said. WHAT A SCAM!
I think that something should be done to stop this scamming that is going on with this website
Software Engineered Auction Rip-Off
Beezid.com is a slickly software engineered RIPOFF..!
You have to pay to join and get BIDDING points. All the items for sale are constantly bid up in price as the Clock counts down on the items availability. Every time somebody Bids at the end of the auction, the Bid clock resets. People or Shills using automated computer programs can outbid you at the last microsecond. Every time you Bid you are charged points that cost you money to buy.
If you want an item, you have to stay “..glued to your computer screen..” and Bid over and over again (spending more points) at each reset of their countdown Bid Clock. You will have to spend endless hours bidding and expending your Bid Points to attempt to win and item while the automated bidders bid against you. You will eventually get bored, tired, or be just a millisecond late on entering your Bid, so you will lose the item.
Beezid is a GIANT RIPOFF SCAM very cleverly designed to take your money and provide no real value. They drive you nuts trying to figure out how to Bid successfully against automated computer Bidders.
Their scam also depends on the fact that average people will not have the time to bring them to task with the Attorney General's consumer complaint system requirements.

I won items starting on August 21st and have not received any of them. They promise quick delivery. Every time I call I get a different story. I would request a refund on the bids I paid for, but now they don't answer the phone or e-mails.
They lure you in with free bids then they send you a private message from a "coach" wanting you to buy more bids with the promise of adding many more "bonus bids" while also promising you that you will win the product on which you are bidding. I didnt let myself get scammed. I told the coach "sell me that 50" LED TV for 98 cents and we cam talk
SCAM! Don't waste your money or time.
Ugh, don't even try it. SCAM! We got ripped off twice.
THESE WEBSITES ARE SCAMS!
if u guy's realize how they make money is by selling bid's they showed 60 to 90 cent's per bid say an item goes to 15 dollar's means they have made 900 dollar's so on a bid for 700 dollar's they make roughly 42, 000 dollar's and also the price of the bid so do the math .
I have been using Beezid for a couple months, and I too had initial difficulty figuring out how the penny auction format worked (it has been around for a long time, and been the subject of academic study; it is not a fraud). But I stuck with it, and received great tips and strategy from Beezid's customer support team. I have won thousands of dollars worth of products, everything from iPods to cameras to a MacBook Pro and an HDTV. It may not be for everyone, but it is not a scam.
If it looks too good to be true it normally is. A commercial that has an srt8 challenger selling for $300.00 just bidding? Where is the profit? Get the hell out of here! I mean thats common sense! I wish I could beat the hell out the person who started this. There are people out here having a hard time and don't know better that will get on that site and lose everything. Why do people allow this to happen is my question!
I have to agree with Beezid being a scam.I am not one that will normally get involved in online auctions. But for some scatter brained reason, I decided to sign up and try. I bought my bids, I read up on online articles and ignored the bad press.
I have spent endless hours staring at the screen and placing my bids. The final straw... I was diligent and stayed on my game. There are no warnings of when the cutoff time is. I clicked the button, submitted my bid, $98.61.. Lo and behold the screen flashed sold! Wait a minute! There are 7 of us bidding! The clock is supposed to reset right? NO! The winning bid (by auto bid) funny, I noticed the same screen name on quite a few items.. ) Beat me by 6 cents.. really? They neglect to give you all of the details on how the bids are handled. You have no idea when the final count down clock will go off. I did not realize there was a count down clock. I am very suspicious of the "auto bots" and the same screen name being used, that wins quite a few of these items.
