Belk review: Incident at store 768 at approx 1:30 today

I was entering the store when a lady who looked like a customer was almost dragging a black male about 10-12 yrs old screaming who is the adult with this child …

Said he broke her sunglasses and that that was like stealing - here to find out she was the store AP person she kept yelling about the boy to the point another customer and I stopped and watched and talked to each other about how uncalled for it was.

This was a black family of 4 kids and 2 adults mom n grandma they spent over 500.00 in the store.

I was behind them in line - your security lady stood across from the registers and stared at them and was recording and taking picture

They they were criminals

Then they pay and start to go out and she walks away and then the Secuirty things started going off as they went out. they stood back and they kept going off - they had me go through and same thing -

They went through all our bags and guess what your Secuirty person never showed up - you would of thought they would of..

After feeling like a crime l I walked out after spending over 100.00 I really wanted to fo back in and return what I bought but did not have the patience for it. I will be returning them on another day and will also never shop there again and tell people about my experience

I am a white person and race should never have to be treated differently - I spoke to the grandmother outside and told her I was sending a complain and that she needed to also

Come to find out the boy has a disability ….

Oh and when I called the store to talk to manager the lady that answered the phone Shawna told me she was the manager and she couldn’t give me and information on who to call and when I asked her again if she was the manager she said no asst and I asked for the manager and she hesitated and said oh they are on lunch

I hope that the blonde that seemed to be your AP security person isn’t the manager … she is very
