I had recently received services for individual counseling through BetterHelp and wanted to switch to couples therapy for my girlfriend and I. The BetterHelp representative informed me that to receive couples therapy, I needed to switch from BetterHelp to the Regain platform. I signed up for Regain, they charged my credit card $360 for a months worth of sessions, and I was assigned a therapist for my first session to begin on October 12th. I received no instructions on how to set up couples therapy on the app but assumed that my girlfriend needed to download the app and that the rest would be automatic. And although I received several reminders of my up-and-coming appointment, in advance, it wasn’t until my scheduled session was in progress that I realized my girlfriend had no access to the meeting. I became aware of a link within the app to invite my girlfriend to the sessions but this link did not work, even after over a dozen attempts. All the Regain platform would do is set my girlfriend and I up for individual therapists, instead of the group sessions that we paid for and had been patiently waiting for all week. And the therapist was completely clueless on how to help with any of the technical difficulties associated with the service. The part where all of this gets unreal is the fact that there is no phone number to call, only emails which are ignored. It’s now been four days with no response from tech support and no hope of receiving the services I paid for, services which my girlfriend and I need desperately. This is a company that is very quick to take your money but shows no interest in proving the services that the client is being charged for. It is without a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with and it’s starting to look like a law suit is my best option.
Desired outcome: Either fix this problem immediately, if it is a glitch in the system, or refund my money and set me up for couples therapy before charging my money, not afterwards.
