I went to Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood and paid over $18,000 for a car that the salesmen said had a good service history
I went to Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood and paid over $18,000 for a car that the salesmen said had a good service history. However, I noticed that the check coolant light was on and there was a battery auxiliary malfunction. Now, my engine bay is covered in coolant and there might be an oil spill in my driveway. Instead of fixing the problem, all they did was clean the car and reset the codes. This is really poor business practice.
It's always really nerve-wracking to need to take my car into a repair shop, but I've been to other places around St Louis, and NO OTHER PLACE
It's always really nerve-wracking to need to take my car into a repair shop, but I've been to other places around St Louis, and NO OTHER PLACE has worked so hard to put me at ease, and help me out with affordability. The workers at Bommarito, from the service guys to the customer help desk, are all so lovely and so helpful and I've really appreciated all the effort they put into my car and my comfort. Thank you so much!

I took my 2017 Jetta to the service shop at Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood
I took my 2017 Jetta to the service shop at Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood. The car had 14,000 miles on it when I bought it from them. Let me tell you, the car smelled like 10 wet dogs! Can you believe it? And to make matters worse, the dash lights were already on and the key fob didn't work when I drove it off the lot! They promised to fix the key, but guess what? I had to pay $180 today to get it fixed. Thanks for keeping your word, Bommarito! On top of that, I had to pay a $250 deductible to get the lights off my dash. Apparently, there was a problem with the wheel speed sensor. Can you believe all these issues with just 14,000 miles on the car? I'm really mad at Bommarito. They've done me wrong for the last time! I'm a disabled Veteran, and they took the rest of my pay for the month. I hope they're happy! I'm paying for things I shouldn't have to!
I bought a 2004 Honda Odyssey on September 30, but I didn't receive the title until December 17
I bought a 2004 Honda Odyssey on September 30, but I didn't receive the title until December 17. During that time, I had a loaner car because the van was making strange knocking and pinging sounds. The dealership checked it out and said they did a valve job and made some adjustments, which cost around $1200. They covered the cost, which was nice. However, a few days later, I had to bring the van back because the TPS and brake lights came on. They fixed that too.
Today, on January 20, 2022, I picked up the van again, but now the oil light is on, and it won't go faster than 20 miles per hour. The engine sounds like it's about to fall out. It's really frustrating because *** and *** told me there was nothing wrong with the van before selling it to me. Clearly, that was a lie. This van has probably spent more time at the dealership than with me. I feel like I got a lemon, and I'm out $5000.
I'm a first-time buyer from a big car lot
I'm a first-time buyer from a big car lot. I wasn't originally looking for a car. I was with my daughter and wondered if I could get one because I wanted to get rid of my *** Grand Prix. I had it for 6 years and paid *** cash. I didn't have any issues with it until last year when it started giving me problems. So, I went to Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood and got help from their special finance department. They got me approved even with my horrible credit through Flagship Credit. I was really excited.
We went for a test drive, but it was raining badly, so I couldn't really test the speed or check for any shaking or bad brakes. The next day, I noticed that the rims were scratched all around the car, the wheel alignment was horrible, and there was a hole in the driver's side floor. The radio wasn't working properly, and the speakers were busted. I took the vehicle to get fixed about 3 or more times, but the issues still remain. They were willing to dip the rims, but they said they don't think they should replace the radio. The manager at Volkswagen in Hazelwood was not very nice.
They claimed to have fixed the wheel alignment, but it's actually worse now, so I have to get it fixed again. I also have to replace the speakers throughout the car and get the alignment done. Oh, and I almost forgot, last year when the weather was bad, I had to sit for 45 minutes because the passenger side of the front window wouldn't work. I have to get that fixed too. It's called a front air distribution flap control motor. I don't have this kind of money, but I'm still paying my car note. I'm really upset because they only care about money.
They replaced my big snow tires with even worse ones, so I had to go to *** and buy new ones. All I have to say after this is DO NOT SHOP AT THE HAZELWOOD LOCATION. Ps.. I had to pay the other location, Volkswagen in South County, $100 to do a diagnostic because Hazelwood kept lying about fixing things.

I bought a Volkswagen Golf GTI from Bommarito Volkswagen on 12/10
I bought a Volkswagen Golf GTI from Bommarito Volkswagen on 12/10. Just a week later, on 12/18, the front passenger tire started sticking out, but the dealership won't fix it or cover it under warranty. It's now 12/22, and they still won't do anything about it.
I made a deal with Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood
I made a deal with Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood. They had all my trade info, credit app, and gave me payment details. But after being at the dealership for an hour, they said they picked the wrong trim for my car. Now they want more money down. This is not okay. I already told them it wasn't an F sport. They had all the VIN details and everything they needed. My credit was already submitted.
On Monday, I put $500 down on a car
On Monday, I put $500 down on a car. I went on that Tuesday and bought the car. I paid $8500 in cash. When I got home, the car was running hot. I took it back the same day. They said they fixed it. The next day, it ran hot again. I took it back once more. They said they fixed it again. They sent it to the Ford dealership. They kept my car for 7 days. I picked it up yesterday, and the check engine light came on. I've only had the car for 1 day. The car feels very sluggish.

I traded in my 2019 Volkswagen Jetta for a 2021 Volkswagen Jetta to get a better interest rate and payment amount
I traded in my 2019 Volkswagen Jetta for a 2021 Volkswagen Jetta to get a better interest rate and payment amount. I had the car for over 40 days, but it was never registered or financed. At that time, I was in the process of changing jobs, which made things difficult. Bommarito called me and asked for paycheck stubs, but I didn't have them due to my job situation. However, I assured them that I could still make my payments. They called me again and requested that I come in to discuss the situation. When I arrived, they asked for paycheck stubs or a co-signer. I explained once more that I didn't have either, but I could still make my payments. Unfortunately, they informed me that I had to surrender the car, even though they had already paid off my trade-in. Now, I'm facing difficulties in getting financed for another vehicle.
I buyed a used 2011 Chevy HHHR from the dealership
I buyed a used 2011 Chevy HHHR from the dealership. I also buyed a 2.5 year warranty on the car. It also had a 30 day or 1000 miles warranty on it from the dealership. The second day the check engine light came on. They told me to bring it in. They said they would fix it. They said that it would cost a little over $450.00. They were using the 30 day warranty and told me that I would have to pay the deductible. I told them I wasn't going to do that. I told them I was going to the ComplaintsBoard.com. They fixed it at no charge. They aren't willing to fix the rubber seal around the driver's side of the window; they want to charge me whatever it cost them. I told them no.
I bought a car in August
I bought a car in August . They told me I would get 5 years of Car Net service, which lets me start, unlock, and lock my car, among other things. But when I bought the car, they said I was missing a control unit and that VW would send it to me. Now, a year later, they're saying there's nothing they can do and I have to call VW myself. I paid for a car that was supposed to have this service, but I still don't have it. The salesman says it's not his problem. I asked why the customer has to do all the work to fix this issue. He says he's done all he can. I just want this problem fixed quickly.
I went to Bommarito Hazelwood Volkswagen on July 22 to check out and maybe buy a Volkswagen Passat for $4995
I went to Bommarito Hazelwood Volkswagen on July 22 to check out and maybe buy a Volkswagen Passat for $4995. But they showed me a different car instead. I really wanted that Volkswagen Passat for $4995. The guy there told me it was actually at the other Bommarito Honda dealership, just next door. He said he would go and get the car from there. After waiting for about 20 minutes, he came back and said the car wasn't ready yet. He told me he would contact me on Monday. I called him, but he said it still wasn't ready. I called again on Tuesday and left a message on his phone, but he didn't respond. I left another message on Wednesday, but still no response. Today is Thursday and the car I wanted is no longer listed or available. I'm wondering if I got played or if Rick Cooper did some shady business at Bommarito...?
On October 21, I bought a 2017 Jetta from Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood and financed it through Vw Credit
On October 21, I bought a 2017 Jetta from Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood and financed it through Vw Credit. But on October 27, I decided to cancel some of the additional protection plans I had purchased, namely the Easy Care VWCP P 60MO/6000, the Easy Care SELE 60, and the Optional Gap Contract. I thought everything would be sorted out smoothly, but unfortunately, that hasn't been the case.
It wasn't until November 19, that I received a notification stating that the Vw Drive Easy Cpo Vsc Protec and the Vw Dr Easy Gap Protection had been canceled. I was relieved to hear that, as I didn't want to pay for something I no longer needed. However, my frustration grew when I realized that the refunds for these cancellations had not been credited to my loan.
On December 8, I noticed a credit of $1500.00 in my account, which I assumed was for the canceled SELE-60 protection. While I appreciated the refund, I couldn't help but wonder why the refunds for the Vw Drive Easy Cpo Vsc Protec, amounting to $3,496.00, and the Vw Dr Easy Gap Protection, amounting to $995.00, were still missing. According to the dealer, they had mailed the refund checks to VW Credit on December 17.
Feeling frustrated, I decided to call VW Credit to inquire about the missing credits. To my disappointment, they informed me that they had not received any additional credits. This news left me even more upset and confused about the whole situation.
Overall, I am quite disappointed with the delay in processing the refunds for the canceled protection plans. It has been over a month since the cancellations were made, and yet the credits have not been applied to my loan. I hope that Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood and VW Credit can resolve this issue promptly and ensure that the refunds are properly credited to my account.
I had a car accident and this dealership was fixin' my car
I had a car accident and this dealership was fixin' my car. It was a brand new car; I only had it for a week. They were fixin' the front left side. They got the car on 7/6 and I didn't get it back until 8/30. I had to take it back the next day 'cause they didn't fix it right. They still got my car. Seems like they don't know how to fix it. The insurance already paid for the repair. The insurance company says the dealership cashed the check on 8/27. I took it back 'cause the lights weren't workin' right. I ain't heard nothin' from the dealership since I took it back. The insurance company got the same runaround as me. I do have a loaner car, but I'm payin' for a car I don't have and ain't been fixed right.
I went to Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood to get my brakes checked 'cause there was this tire pressure light on the dash
I went to Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood to get my brakes checked 'cause there was this tire pressure light on the dash. But guess what? Just an hour after my appointment, two more lights popped up on the dash - the check engine light and the pre-glow/malfunction light. So, I took my car to the dealership on August 18, and they said it's covered under warranty. Cool, right? Well, not really. A week later, they called me up and said there's some unknown issue draining my car battery. And here's the kicker - they told me I gotta pay for any other expenses 'cause the check engine light is off now. I said no way, man. So, I picked up my car on September 10, and guess what? The check engine light and the pre-glow/malfunction light were back on the dash. They told me it was already fixed under my TDI warranty, but clearly, it wasn't. I talked to the manager, but he didn't offer any solution. He just said I could take my car to some other dealership. This whole thing has been a real nightmare, man. So inconvenient, you know?
Me and my wife went to Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood a few weeks back and we put down 4k on a vw Jetta
Me and my wife went to Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood a few weeks back and we put down 4k on a vw Jetta. This guy named *** told us it was all set as long as I came back on Friday with another 1k down and my pay stub. We signed some papers and left. So, on Friday at 6:30, our scheduled time, we show up and this other sales guy tells us they have another option for us. We checked it out but we still wanted the Jetta. At 8:15, we finally get to *** for finance and he's the only guy there. He starts having us sign stuff for a *** Cruze...we asked where the Jetta was and he said the deal couldn't go through for that car. He didn't even know why we were told what we were told. I asked for my 4k cash back and they said I couldn't have it until the weekend was over because it was Friday... The dealership straight up lied to me, took my money, and then refused to give it back. We felt stuck and trapped. We ended up making a deal on the Cruze, it wasn't a great deal but it was kinda okay. The car is alright, I guess it'll be a good car, but the way those guys did business was terrible. We used to be Bommarito customers, but after that, I don't think we'll be going back in the future.
I bought a 2013 GMC Terrain from Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood
I bought a 2013 GMC Terrain from Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood. After two weeks, the check engine light came on. They told me to take the car to Lou Fusz for service. I was charged $145 just for them to look at it. They worked on it, but two weeks later, the same problem occurred. I took it back and found out that the truck has an issue with oil consumption. I believe Bommarito was aware of this problem because letters were sent out on 1/17 to all dealers and mechanics. I have a copy of the letter stating that there was a problem with oil consumption and it affected 207,000 Terrains. Bommarito fixed the stretched timing belt, which was also causing problems. However, Motor Trend warranty refuses to help because they claim that I should have known about the oil consumption issue before purchasing the car. I had no knowledge of this until I researched and found the letter online. I then contacted GMC, who offered me a 30% discount on a $4125.00 repair, but they want me to pay $2200.00 for something that I didn't cause or was responsible for. I have only driven the car for 6 months and it has 89,000 miles on it. All I'm asking for is for someone to take responsibility and replace the oil pistons and rings. I'm not asking for any money, just for these companies to honor their warranty, protect their reputations, and fix my vehicle. I don't have $2200.00, considering all the money I already spend on insurance and car payments. I'm a 66-year-old senior and I need some assistance. I have already contacted the Attorney General and I'm willing to provide any necessary paperwork.
2/25 Me and my hubby bought a 2010 Mini Cooper S Convertible from Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood
2/25 Me and my hubby bought a 2010 Mini Cooper S Convertible from Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood. We found the car on ***. Before we bought it, I double-checked the options with the VIN. The sales guy, ***, was really helpful and told me that the radio had been replaced by St. Louis Mini. When we got the car on the evening of 2/25, we noticed that the old radio and packaging were still in the car. On 2/26, I tried to set up my phone through Bluetooth and realized that option wasn't available, and neither was satellite radio. My hubby and I checked out the original radio and packaging. The dealership admitted that they replaced it with a salvage radio from a Mini Clubman. When I told the sales guy about this problem, he just brushed it off and said that option wasn't available on my car. But guess what? We actually have the original radio and packaging from the salvage yard, and I even spoke to ***i in KC who confirmed that the salvage yard radio wasn't compatible with my Mini Cooper S. She gave me the model number of the radio that was compatible (which was the old radio that was left behind). Then my hubby contacted the used car manager, but he still hasn't called us back. We paid $3000 more than what my bank said the car was worth. I know times are tough, but I don't think they've been honest about how the car was described to us. Thank goodness we have all the info about this radio issue, and I have a pic of the ad where I saw the car. I'm asking the dealership to replace the radio with the right head unit that was originally in the car. I've attached the salvage dealer info, the radio info they installed, and the original radio that got replaced.
I bought a car from Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood on 8/1/22 and I have some complaints about their lack of effective and honest
I bought a car from Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood on 8/1/22 and I have some complaints about their lack of effective and honest communication. When I test drove the truck on 8/1/22, they said I could buy the same truck in white with all the same features. But when it came time to buy the truck, it didn't have the features they promised. They also said I would have black wheels, but I had to leave without them that night. I had to take time off work and make an appointment for 8/3/22 to come back to the dealership and get the promised wheels. When I got there, they said it would take about 25 minutes, but I ended up waiting over an hour for the service to be done. On 8/1/22, when I was buying the truck and going over the coverages with the Business Manager, they said I had coverage for any dents that might happen to the truck. Less than 30 days after buying the truck, I got a dent and was told to schedule an appointment to get it fixed. The Business Manager said it would be free for me. But when I called to set up the appointment, they didn't tell me to call *** and file a claim before coming in. I took time off work again and when I got to my appointment today on 8/24/22, they told me I needed to contact *** for coverage before they would service my car. I filed a claim with *** and waited over an hour just for the dent guy to say he didn't feel comfortable fixing it. Then they told me I needed to file a claim with my insurance company, which would cost me money, even though I was initially told I had coverage.
