Great place to buy from
Great place to buy from. I was happy with my experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had a good selection of cars to choose from. The prices were reasonable. I found the car I wanted and the process was smooth. The only downside was that the paperwork took a little longer than expected. Overall, I would recommend Arizona Specialty Motors to anyone looking to buy a car.
Stay away from this place
Stay away from this place. These people are awful. I searched for months for the gen 1 *** Raptor of my dreams. Unfortunately, I found it at Arizona Specialty Motors. After test driving the truck and giving it a basic inspection, *** and *** ensured it was in good working order so I didn't haggle the price out of respect and offered to buy it. They were kind enough to fix some minor cosmetic flaws, but when I asked how they were able to fix them in such a short time, they told me that they pulled the part from another vehicle on their lot. I was appreciative that they were able to fix my truck with a shady repair, especially on a short notice since they were pressuring me to make the sale before the end of the month for an apparent quota of monthly sales. Less than one week and 500 miles later, the transmission COMPLETELY failed. The truck wouldn't shift out of first gear and was rendered useless. Even though I didn't purchase any kind of extended warranty on the truck, I was assured that if it was vastly misrepresented in anyway, then we would reach an agreement. What a lie that was! I texted *** video of taking the truck on a well-maintained off-road trail on the one and only adventure this truck has been able to handle as a courtesy and to thank him for working with me on the purchase. This backfired and was used as some sort of evidence of misuse of the *** Raptor by these crooks. Days passed by as I waited to hear back from *** after I asked for assistance from their shop in repairing the transmission. I was eventually able to have the misfortunate of getting a hold of ***, the owner, after calling their main sales line multiple times and acting interested in another vehicle. *** was completely unprofessional about the entire situation and disrespectfully mentioned that "I needed to MAN UP and admit that I went off-roading" which he seemed to think caused the transmission to fail. I responded to him with, "Obviously I went off-roading in the Raptor. I sent a video to *** on a trail. It's a Raptor which is a literal off-road truck." After a few days of *** "consulting his attorney" about the situation, he offered for me to swap the truck for another vehicle at his shop and gave me the number of a tow guy to bring it in. When I was reluctant to this offer since I had spent months searching for this exact Raptor, he told me that I "have some soul searching to do." I eventually agreed to his offer and tried to get a hold of his tow company with the number *** provided so that I could take the raptor to his shop. I left multiple messages and no one ever called me back. I am fed up and tired of this company and the crooks that work here. Take my advise and find a different place to purchase your next car. Don't let their showroom and fake smiles fool you. The minute there's an issue with your car, you'll be in the same situation that I'm in. It's been over one month since I made the purchase and I'm yet to get the truck back on the road due to complications from this lemon purchase.
DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS PLACE
DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS PLACE. They sold me a 2006 Modified Mustang GT that WON'T PASS SMOG. It's totally illegal in Arizona. The car runs on 93 Octane Fuel and doesn't work properly. They didn't even have gas in the vehicle for a proper test drive. I spoke with *** and thought he would fix this. He said he would retune the car so these issues wouldn't happen and the READY Monitors would reset. But now he changed his mind after talking to one of the owners named AL. AL is something else, wait until you talk to him. He doesn't like cuss words. He told me not to talk to him like I do with my wife. But he has no problem breaking the law to sell a car. He's a man with morals, can't cuss, but can stress you out like crazy. They made me stay home for two days waiting for a tow. AGAIN THIS MORNING. Yesterday, during a three-hour drive, the car used $25 worth of gas. Unbelievable. The right brakes didn't work because of air in the line. I haven't been able to work since I bought this car. I've been trying to return it since 12/5, three days after buying it. I realized all the problems over the weekend while driving. The brake fluid was burnt up. The car was unsafe. I was planning to drive it to the tuner, but now they want to take it away from me. I have no idea what they're doing. The bottom line is they DON'T INSPECT CARS. They put my trade up for sale on their website within three hours of me leaving the dealership. They sold me a car with all the READY MONITORS NOT READY. They lied about why they weren't ready. I got two different explanations from two different people. There's nothing special about this place. STAY AWAY. Oh, and they raised my interest rate by two points after saying the deal was solid because they spoke to the bank manager. This deal can be easily reversed. But they enjoy making things hard for consumers and car buyers. No one should have to go through this when buying a car. I was honest about my trade, credit, financing ability, and everything else. Unfortunately, there are dishonest people in this world. And everyone I've spoken to here is just like that. Hey ***, will my car ever pass smog? Do you expect me to spend $25 on gas every day to go less than 40 miles? YOU SOLD ME A LEMON. They kept calling this car pristine. It looks good on the outside, but that's it. They only care about selling cars, not being honest or running a respectable business. If they did, I would have my trade back and they would fix this car legally before selling it. It's the law, you have to pass smog before selling. Not after. They will lie and say anything to sell the car. They were great during the sale, but when you have a problem like them breaking the law, they change instantly. My friend who's a Ford Engineer tuner knows how to fix it, but they don't want to spend any money to make it right. They don't want to fix it. They want lawyers. AL even said they deal with "people like me" all the time. I asked "people like me"? He refused to answer. He was so rude and stubborn that I stopped talking to him, making him feel like he won. But no AL, we didn't agree on anything during that call. We have rights, folks. Contact ADOT. Contact Maricopa County DA's office for their crimes. Contact ALL NEWS channels' investigative report programs. Don't let this place win. I lost over $700 in wages waiting for them to pick up the car. But they're so bad at their jobs, they can't even coordinate a tow service.

I asked for a refund on the Extended Warranty I bought from *** through Arizona Specialty Motors (ASM)
I asked for a refund on the Extended Warranty I bought from *** through Arizona Specialty Motors (ASM). I waited 8 weeks and on Oct 28, 2022 *** confirmed that ASM had cashed the refund check. Finally, On Jan 17, the finance manager for ASM (***) told me that the refund check was processed and that he was just waiting for it to arrive. I waited two more weeks and texted *** to ask about my refund. His last text to me dated Jan 29 said that he had done all he could and it was out of his control. I still haven't received my refund and I can't get a response from *** despite calling and texting. Can you help me get my refund from ASM?
On June 14th, 2022, we traded in our vehicle and bought a car from *** (the owner)
On June 14th, 2022, we traded in our vehicle and bought a car from *** (the owner). We sold him our 2011 *** GT-R (white). It's been 4 MONTHS NOW, and he still hasn't paid off our bank! I have to keep reminding him every month for the past 4 months (18 weeks, 126 days) that my bank says the payment is overdue! Today's date is October 18th, 2022, and I'm really frustrated with this car dealer (owner) *** Every time I try to call or text him, he comes up with some excuse to discredit the vehicle I traded in (of course, as an excuse) to delay the fact that he probably doesn't have the money or credit to buy such an expensive car. Can you please help me resolve this before it ruins my credit? Unfortunately, I should've checked his reviews with the ComplaintsBoard.com because it seems like he's done this to others before. It's a shame that businesses like his are allowed to have a license.

I traded in a 2011 Ram **** to Arizona Specialty Motors on July 24th
I traded in a 2011 Ram *** to Arizona Specialty Motors on July 24th. They gave me $29,000.00 for the trade-in, and I still owed $19,052 and some change. To meet the agreement of $6,500.00 total down, I put $4,500.00 from my bank account and $2,000.00 on credit cards 10 days later. On August 13th, they automatically withdrew $618.35 from my bank account for the truck I traded in. I canceled the automatic payments, but the account for the trade-in vehicle is still active under my name, with payments due again on September 14th. The payment that was withdrawn on 08/13 was supposed to go towards the new vehicle I traded for, and now it has caused me some trouble. The staff at Arizona Specialty Motors have told me multiple times that it has been paid off, but when I check the status online, the account is still active. I don't want another payment to come for this vehicle.
On 3/26, I called ASM to ask about a car
On 3/26, I called ASM to ask about a car. The salesman, ***, told me that in order to keep the car, I had to give ASM $2000. This amount would be refunded if I didn't buy the car. On 3/29, I called *** to inform him that I couldn't buy the car. *** said he couldn't help me and that I needed to talk to *** the finance manager. I called *** to ask for a refund of my deposit because I didn't want the car. He asked me why, and I told him I didn't have cash on hand. He asked if I could finance, and I said no. I explained that I only allowed ASM to hold my $2000 because *** the salesman said it was protocol and suggested a $2000 refundable hold over the weekend. *** said he would overnight the receipt of my $2000 refundable hold. However, on 3/29, ASM sent me a contract instead. I called *** multiple times over the week, but he didn't return my calls. I sent an email stating that I would leave 1 ? reviews on platforms. said he would get my $2000, but he hasn't.
We bought a 2008 Dodge Ram **** from Arizona Specialty Motors on 3/2/22
We bought a 2008 Dodge Ram *** from Arizona Specialty Motors on 3/2/22. We recently had a bad accident, so we haven't been driving much. After a few times driving the truck they sold us, we noticed it was shifting really hard. Finally, it wouldn't shift into 5th or 6th gear. We had a transmission shop look at it, and they said someone had cleaned it recently. So, they patched up a problem and sold us a ticking time bomb. We've only driven the truck 604 miles in the 3 weeks we've owned it. This dealership hid a problem, and now we're stuck with it. On 3/17/2022, I spoke to the owner, ***, and he said he wouldn't take the truck back or fix the transmission. It would've been easy to treat us with respect and do the right thing, but instead, he was super rude and lied about having a recording of the transaction. When I asked for his attorney's name, he hung up on me. We had no choice but to pay $4,586 for a transmission rebuild. We want reimbursement for this amount.
I bought a 2009 Mini *** from Arizona Specialty Motors on March 26, 2022
I bought a 2009 Mini *** from Arizona Specialty Motors on March 26, 2022. I also traded in a *** as part of the deal. According to the contract, ASM was supposed to pay off my trade. My salesman, ***, told me that the dealer has 30 days to do this. I've been talking to *** every week for a few weeks now, trying to get this sorted out. Well, *** asked me to contact him today because he was off when I reached out to him last week. *** promised me, two weeks in a row, that he would make sure the *** was paid off this week. I reached out to him on the agreed date, but now he's not responding to me. It's been more than 30 days, and my bank confirmed that ASM hasn't contacted them to pay off the trade, let alone pay what they agreed to. ASM should do the right thing and fulfill their part of the contract by paying off the ***. On top of that, the 2009 Mini *** has needed thousands of dollars in repairs. Some were covered by the extended warranty, but what's more frustrating is that in the 30+ days I've owned the Mini, it has been out of commission for 3 weeks waiting for those repairs.
When we first looked at the car, the *** system was working
When we first looked at the car, the *** system was working. On our second visit, we drove the vehicle with the salesman. The *** screen wouldn't come up, but he said not to worry. He probably pushed the wrong button, he said. Yet, after we purchased the vehicle and had it delivered, the system wasn't working. I contacted Arizona Specialty Motors, and they said I should bring it in so their tech could check it out. At their shop, they spent 3 hours swapping in different ***s but couldn't find/fix the problem. They recommended I take the car to an auto audio shop, but the recommended shop didn't work on *** systems. I finally took the car to *** where they removed the *** unit with the *** drive and sent it to a service center in New York for repairs. This took 4 weeks. I called ASM and told them the repairs would cost $680.00, and the salesman asked for a copy of the receipt, implying that I would be reimbursed. The repaired unit was re-installed and tested. It worked correctly, and I sent a copy of the receipt to ASM. I've contacted ASM at least six times to ask for reimbursement. Each time, the salesman tells me he has given the receipt to "the owner," who will take care of it. No action has taken place, and I have never received a call or an explanation. This is unacceptable.
Arizona Specialty Motors sold me a 2014 Jeep Wrangler, VIN ***, on May 21
Arizona Specialty Motors sold me a 2014 Jeep Wrangler, VIN ***, on May 21. When I bought the car, they didn't have the title, and even now, 165 days later, they still don't have it. This goes against Arizona Revised Statutes Section 28-4409. We tried to resolve the issue with the finance manager, but he wasn't helpful or responsive. We also tried talking to the owner, Al, who said our only option was to exchange the Jeep for another car they have the title for. When we asked Al how long it takes to get the title after selling a vehicle, he said he didn't know. It seems like he either doesn't know much about dealership laws or he's hiding information from us. Either way, what Arizona Specialty Motors did is unfair and deceptive, breaking Arizonas Consumer Fraud Act.
I can't register the car in Montana, so we had to hire a lawyer to help us. But the dealership still hasn't given us the title. We also reported the issue to the MVD. We think a fair solution would be for Arizona Specialty Motors to give us a full refund and take the car back. This has taken a lot of time and money on our part, with attorney fees and shipping costs to return the car to Arizona.
We bought a car and extended warranty from AZ Specialty Motors on 8/3
We bought a car and extended warranty from AZ Specialty Motors on 8/3. The warranty cost $4,495 for 3 years. We wanted to cancel the warranty, but AZ Specialty Motors didn't tell us that the warranty was in their name, not ours. They said the refund would go to the dealer, and we had to contact them for our money back. We submitted the cancellation forms on 5/5/22 (only 8 months into the 3-year plan), but we still haven't received our refund from the dealer despite making multiple calls, emails, and texts over the past 2 months. On 5/5, we called AZ Specialty Motors (dealer) and they said they would pro-rate refund. On 5/27, we called the dealer again and they said they would follow up with Freedom. However, we received no response. On 6/10, we called Freedom and they said they sent the refund check to the dealer on 6/7/22. On 6/15, we spoke to the manager who said he would check with the accountant and call us back with the check details, but we received no response. On 6/23, the dealer said the check cleared their bank and they would mail it to us by 6/24/22, but we still haven't received it. On 6/29/22, we sent an email to the dealer requesting information about the check, but received no response. On 7/1/22, we spoke with someone who said they would ask the accountant to issue a new check, but later informed us that the accountant couldn't come in and we would have to wait until 7/5. We responded on 7/5, stating that we hadn't received any check and asked for tracking information if they mailed it. However, we received no response.
On 11/15, I signed the contract to buy a **** Hummer H2 from Arizona Specialty Motors
On 11/15, I signed the contract to buy a *** Hummer H2 from Arizona Specialty Motors. The VIN number is *** and it's supposed to have had only one owner. The car is in great condition with *** miles. I made a down payment of $*** and financed $***.
I told them that I needed the vehicle as soon as possible because I wanted to ship it to my daughter who goes to ***. I planned to use the same auto shipping company to deliver the H2 from *** to ***. They promised that the vehicle would arrive by Saturday, but it didn't come until Tuesday. I had to make many calls to *** Specialty Motors before it finally arrived. The truck driver said it had been sitting in their yard for 4 days.
When I inspected the vehicle, I noticed a BIG CRACK ON THE WINDSHIELD and the driver-side rearview mirror was very foggy. It's so foggy that you can't see what's behind the vehicle. I contacted *** and "***" and they said the auto transport company is responsible for the damage. They said they would contact me to replace the windshield. But until now, nobody has contacted me and the windshield is still cracked. I can't even pass the inspection to get the title in my name.
I called *** Specialty Motors many times to ask for help. They contracted the shipping company, so they should make them do the repairs. But they ignored my requests to give me the name and phone number of the auto transport company. I've been dealing with a ***, a salesman, and a "***" who I think is the manager of the dealership. But he hasn't given me his last name.
I really want to urge you to help me make them replace the windshield and fix the rearview mirror. They didn't use the auto transport company that I wanted, so they need to make arrangements with the company they contracted to do the repairs. I'm a physician and I have a busy schedule. This is interfering with my patients' care. I might need to rent a car during the repairs.
On 7/16, I bought a 2007 *** Fj Cruiser from Arizona Specialty Motors
On 7/16, I bought a 2007 *** Fj Cruiser from Arizona Specialty Motors. The ad online said the car was "exceptional" and had been "rigorously inspected and detailed to the highest standards." I've attached a picture of the description they posted on their website. The car had *** miles on it, and now it has less than ***. On December 14th, someone pointed out rust to me while I was looking at the engine. I checked underneath the car and saw a lot of rust. I called Arizona Specialty Motors and asked for a copy of the CarFax. I've attached it with this complaint. I contacted ASM and spoke with Al, the owner. He said he would give me a different car from his lot if I agreed not to mention that he knew about the rust or spray painted the undercarriage. I said I would look at his cars and let him know. I told him what I wanted, and he said it could take weeks or even months. I told him the *** isn't safe to drive. I asked for a refund, and he said "no, absolutely not." I got 2 estimates from auto body shops about the extent of the rust. I emailed ASM and said I wanted my money back. In the email, I shared all the information I had collected about the car at that time. I mentioned that considering the owner, Al's 20+ years in the business, and their claim of "rigorous inspection," it's surprising that they missed $8,400.00+ worth of damage. I didn't want another car from their dealership. I've attached the estimates. The estimates and pictures show a lot of rust and expensive repairs. The damages are estimated to be between $8400 and $16,073.66. Both body shops said the car should never have been sold and should have been declared a total loss. Macco said the undercarriage had been spray painted to hide the extensive rust damage. They said the car isn't safe to drive. I've attached pictures, and I have over 30 more. AMS isn't talking to me now.
