I requested increased size of outdoor living area and the Boutique home accepted my request. Of course, they charged everything for the up grad. I really wanted to see my floor plan but they refused until contract.
After I received my contract, I found out, the shape and material of the roof at alfresco changed.
Nobody mentioned about the changes.
And now they said that
"Unfortunately there is no refund or credit applicable when you upgrade the design as you are choosing to change from the standard design."
They remove my original alfresco and charged everything for the new upgraded, however, they said not able to give me a credit back about the original alfresco!
Home builder ignored application and turned off neighbouring water whenever they want.
Incredibly selfish company who does not care who they hurt if your not paying their bills.
They frequently turn off my water without notice.
I live on the block next door to a house being built by this company.
This block used to be joined to the one they're building on, it means we still have shared water.
They were told on the application to the water company to split it BEFORE starting building.
They ignored it.
They keep turning off my water with no warning with is not allowed.
I've been letting them most of the time to be nice but trying to ask them to let us know so we can prepare.
They never do.
I've called, emailed, contacted the site supervisor, the VBA, the water company, I was even told to go to the police since they left a temporary pipe hazard hanging outside my pathway for MONTHS.
All I wanted was warning, was to work together and be made aware.
A review is the last thing I wanted to do, but I've tried everything else multiple times, I have the emails and call logs and this is better than a police filing.
So because they've turned my water off again, with no warming, projected to be all. Day. Long.
I feel like I have no other option.
If you want a strained relationship with your neighbours before you even meet them, go with Boutique Homes.
They're perfect.
Desired outcome: A written apology for all the time they've wasted, stress they've caused and times my days have been messed up due to their selfishness.

pour concrete during torrential rain
It was raised to our attention that concrete was poured into bored piers to the subject site on last Friday around lunchtime. As residents of Victoria we both know that the BOM has issued quite a few weather warnings prior to last Friday and the weather is not optimal for pouring concrete, even into bored piers.
Brad has re-assured me that only surface of the bored piles will be impacted by the water. We agree if pouring has been done 2-4 hours before the rain we won't be worried at all. But instead the concrete was poured during an extra heavy rain between 11PM - 1PM, we are afraid the excessive water will dillute the concrete mix and compromise the overall strength, especially at the surface.
I sent an email to Angelo to inquire the construction practice to bored piers, but it has received no response at all. I have tried to reach out to Nikita yesterday and today but always gone to voicemail.
I discussed with a senior surveyor in Group Four yesterday and he told me that they will only inspect the dimension of the hole, and if the holes were fit to pump concrete at that point of time. The surveyor has left the site before the concrete was pumped, that he did NOT give green light that the concrete could be pumped during the rain. In contrast, the surveyor mentioned that pumping concrete in heavy rain and severe weather is strongly discouraged for bored piers, and I should lodge an inquiry with Boutique why this has been allowed. Hence the inspection record means nothing to be but a piece of paper.
I also believe, no one, other than the engineer from Structerre could make such statement the heavy rain fall does not affect the surface area. if any future impact happened to the slab due to the bored piers strength, Structerre is more than like to be collaterally accountable. Otherwise, can the engineer offer anyway of rectification as an alternative design?
thanks angelo,really helpful and responsible
Damage to lot 152 - 36 miranda cresent, st'leonards, vic
Hi
I'm Mark Winter and my partner, Kyunghee Lim own Lot 152 - 36 Miranda Cresent, St'Leonards, Victoria.
Boutique Homes are building a new home on the block besides our block and in that execution have caused considerable damage to our block.
I have raised before this concern of accessing our block without the due communications before. In that compliant and from a Boutique Home Stage 1 Supervisor, Julie [protected]) was told that they would no longer be accessing our block and the damage to the land would be rectified. The front street concrete plinth has been repaired. Boutique Homes Contractors never less have continued to access our block and the land has sustained further damage as result of my request not being duly communicated.
The contractors have pulled down fencing, continued to drive on the block, stored rubbish and had machinery bogged on our land.
On Friday 17th July 2020, I asked the Stage 1 Supervisor to ask the person in charge of the erection of the home to contact myself but have had no reply. My neighbours are in regular communication about the state of my land.
I certainly would appreciate receiving a phone call from a Boutique Homes Representative to address my now real unease for the condition of my block and written confirmation that Boutique Homes will start the rectification of our block. Due to the COVID-19 effects, I wish to put my land on the market and in present condition am unable to do this or personally travel down to resolve our issue.
My contact details are

Can my request be followed through and my current unease and disappointment be addressed here.

driveway
I've built a home with Boutique homes which required it to comply with guide lines.
One of these was that the driveway had colour in the concrete and not painted on colour.
My Driveway has been painted on the concrete and it looks terrible and i thought contravenes the guide line rules.
We have another issue which contravened the guide lines that we had to pay to meet them.

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
And don't ever use Destin Constructions in Melbourne Victoria. This so-called builder will cheat you out of tens of thousands of dollars, charge ridiculous amounts and leave you with a poor quality house. He is only interested in ripping you off, rather than building.
